British climate activists deflate more than 40 tires on SUVs in NYC’s Upper East Side and leave leaflets saying ‘your gas guzzler kills’: Group warns more cities will be struck in the coming weeks

Climate change activists with a group calling itself Tyre Extinguishers are celebrating their first ‘action’ in New York City – deflating the tires of 40 SUVs on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

The movement, which originated in the United Kingdom, seeks to dissuade people from owning SUVs in urban areas, and switch instead to more environmentally-friendly vehicles.

The SUVs they vandalized had leaflets let on the windshield, which stated: ‘Attention: Your gas guzzler kills’.

On Twitter, they boasted about their actions.

‘BIG NEWS: TYRE EXTINGUISHERS STRIKE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NEW YORK CITY!’ they tweeted on Tuesday.

One victim emailed them with the subject: ‘Damn you, Red Coats!’

The SUV-owner said that ‘far more environmentally unfriendly’ pickup trucks would now be called out, to repair the damaged vehicles, and pointed out most of those attacked would be covered by insurance.

The loosely-organized movement encourages anyone to participate, at will. They encourage acting under the cover of darkness, working in pairs, and practicing on bicycle tires first.

Activists are told to avoid cars used for people with disabilities, traders’ cars, minibuses and normal-sized cars – but electric SUVs are considered fair game.

‘NYC is just the latest place and we expect other cities in the USA to follow,’ they said.

A spokesman for the group told Fox News Digital they intended to carry out more actions.

‘We are rapidly expanding across the United States and are in touch with people in major cities across the USA,’ a spokesperson said.

‘We expect this to expand massively.’

In a statement, the group said they ‘want to see bans on SUVs in urban areas, pollution levies to tax SUVs out of existence, and massive investment in free, comprehensive public transport.’

They added: ‘But until politicians make this a reality, Tyre Extinguishers action will continue.’

Critics on social media said the action was misguided.

‘I Don’t Need To Have Numbers’: Gov. Hochul Trying To Pass Strict Gun Control Says She Has No Evidence To Support Her

Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said she doesn’t “need to have numbers” to back up her strict gun control proposals.

Hochul is set to convene a special session Thursday to push through new tighter gun control restrictions after the Supreme Court recently overturned a nearly century-old law that restricted concealed carry permits. Among the proposals include banning firearms from government buildings, courthouses, hospitals and schools. Another proposal would ban firearms at any private business unless the business has a sign explicitly stating guns are allowed, CBS 6 Albany reported.

Speaking at a press briefing Wednesday, Hochul said after the high court overturned the law, gun owners would carry more.

“All of a sudden now you’re on the streets. Now you’re going to bars, this is not the Wild West, this is New York State,” Hochul said.

A reporter then asked whether Hochul had any data to support her gun control push.

“Do you have the numbers to show that it’s the concealed carry permit holders that are committing crimes? Because the lawful gun owner will say that you’re attacking the wrong person, that it’s really the people getting the guns illegally that are causing the violence not the people going and getting the permit legally. Do you have the numbers?”

“I don’t need to have numbers. I don’t need to have a data point to say this. I know that I have a responsibility to the people of this state to have sensible gun safety laws, and this one was not devised by the Hochul administration. It comes out of an administration from 1908. I don’t need a data point to say I have a responsibility to protect the people of this state.”

Rep. MTG Calls For Committee to Investigate Epstein/Maxwell Clients, Highlights Clinton Foundation Involvement

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) urged the formation of a committee to investigate the list of powerful people included in Ghislaine Maxwell’s client list, and any possible Clinton Foundation connections, following the Epstein madam’s sentencing earlier this week.

“You know what else would be very good committee hearings? Investigating Jeffrey Epstein’s friends who enjoyed the hard work of this madam, who handed over minors to powerful men for sexual pleasure,” Rep. Greene responded after Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison Tuesday.

Rep. Greene was referring to the long list of powerful people who visited Little St. James, Epstein’s private Virgin Island property dubbed “Pedophile Island” by locals.

Former US President Bill Clinton’s name appeared on flight logs for Epstein’s plane, dubbed the Lolita Express, at least 26 times.

“Maxwell named the Clinton Foundation as an organization she worked with,” Greene continued.

During her lawsuit against Maxwell, Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre asked the court to have Maxwell turn over financial records, specifically ones regarding “any source of funding for the TerraMar Project or any other not-for-profit entities with which you are associated, including but not limited to, funding received from the Clinton Global Initiative, the Clinton Foundation (a/k/a William J. Clinton Foundation, a/k/a/ the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation), and the Clinton Foundation Climate Change Initiative.”

An anonymous friend of Maxwell’s also described meeting Clinton Foundation execs during a party at Maxwell’s apartment in New York City in 2005, where former Clinton Foundation adviser Doug Band was in attendance.

FBI investigating Catholic Church in New Orleans for child sex abuse

The FBI has launched a sprawling sex abuse investigation into the Roman Catholic Church in New Orleans that’s targeting predator priests who may have taken kids across state lines to molest them and were never reported to law enforcement, it was revealed Wednesday.

So far this year, more than a dozen alleged victims have been interviewed by federal investigators and some of the cases include allegations that clergy members abused kids during trips to amusement parks in Texas and Florida and camps in Mississippi.

“It’s been a long road and just the fact that someone this high up believes us means the world to us,” a former altar boy, who claims he was abused beginning in the 1970s while in the fifth grade and on trips to Colorado and Florida, told the Associated Press.

The probe, which is a rare undertaking for federal investigators, is examining whether aging members of the clergy can be charged with violating federal law, including the Mann Act — a 1910 anti-sex-trafficking law that prohibits bringing people out of state for illicit sex.

COVID-19 Vaccination Reactivates Highly Contagious Virus

Doctors and scientists are seeing an increase in the reactivation of the chickenpox virus, known as varicella-zoster virus (VZV), following the COVID-19 injections.

The chickenpox virus is one of the eight herpes viruses known to infect humans. After a person contracts and recovers from chickenpox, the virus never leaves the body but lies dormant in the nervous system for life.

The chickenpox virus will show up as shingles, or herpes zoster (HZ) when it gets reactivated.

Federal health authorities claim that there’s no correlation between COVID-19 injections and shingles, but studies show that there is a higher incidence of shingles in people who’ve received the vaccine.

Israel was one of the earlier countries to publish a case series of six women (out of 491 participants) with an autoimmune disorder who developed shingles 3 to 14 days after receiving the first or second dose of Pfizer COVID-19 shot. None of the 99 participants in the control group developed shingles. The study was published in the journal Rheumatology in April 2021.

“To our knowledge, there were no reports of varicella-like skin rash or HZ in the mRNA-based vaccines COVID-19 clinical trials and our case series is the first one to report this observation in patients within a relatively young age range: 36–61, average age 49 ± 11 years,” the authors wrote.

They hoped that publishing the case series would “raise awareness to a potential causal link between COVID-19 vaccination as a trigger of HZ reactivation in relatively young patients with stable AIIRD [autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases].”

‘Mystery rocket’ that crashed into the Moon baffles NASA scientists

NASA has discovered the crash site of a “mystery rocket body” that collided with the Moon’s surface earlier this year. The impact left behind a widespread “double crater,” meaning it wasn’t the average rocket.

However, since its crash landing, none of Earth’s space-exploring nations have claimed responsibility for the mysterious projectile, leaving NASA scientists baffled as to who was behind its launch. New images shared on June 24 by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter show the unusual impact site.

“Surprisingly the crater is actually two craters, an eastern crater (18-meter diameter, about 19.5 yards) superimposed on a western crater (16-meter diameter, about 17.5 yards,” NASA reported. “The double crater was unexpected…No other rocket body impacts on the Moon created double craters.”

Astronomers anticipated the crash after spotting the unidentified rocket on a collision course with the Moon late last year. It finally hit on March 4 near the Hertzsprung crater, a “complex” impact crater on the far side of the Moon.

NASA stated that the two large masses on each end of the rocket may have caused the craters, but noted that the impact marks are highly unusual. Spent rockets, according to NASA, tend to have a heavy motor at one end and a lighter empty fuel tank on the other, scientists say. The space agency did not offer any guesses on what the additional mass was.

“Since the origin of the rocket body remains uncertain, the double nature of the crater may indicate its identity,” NASA said in a news release.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Admit They Are Spying on Canadians by Turning on Their Cell Phone Cameras and Mics

Despite having the technology for years, this is the first time the Royal Canadian Mounted Police admitted that they are spying on their citizens by logging into their phone cameras and phones.

After watching the trucker protests in Canada last year, it comes as no surprise that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are spying on Canadians.

The RCMP admitted this for the first time:

This is the first time RCMP has even acknowledged that it has this ability, which uses malware to intrude on phones and devices, despite having had the technology for years…

…The RCMP says those tools were only used in serious cases when other, unintrusive measures were not successful.

We saw this past winter what the RCMP did to the truckers who protested the insane mandates coming down from PM Trudeau and his government.

Nearly Half of Murders Now Go Unsolved in America, The Lowest Clearance Rate on Record

Welcome to the New America™.

From CBS News, “A ‘coin flip’: Nearly half of U.S. murders go unsolved as cases rise”:

Across a nation that is already in the grips of a rise in violent crime, murders are going unsolved at a historic pace, a CBS News investigation has found. A review of FBI statistics shows that the murder clearance rate — the share of cases each year that are solved, meaning police make an arrest or close the case due to other reasons — has fallen to its lowest point in more than half a century.

“It’s a 50-50 coin flip,” says Thomas Hargrove, who runs the Murder Accountability Project, which tracks unsolved murders nationwide. “It’s never been this bad. During the last seven months of 2020, most murders went unsolved. That’s never happened before in America.”

Police are far less likely to solve a murder when the victim is Black or Hispanic, according to CBS News’ analysis. In 2020, the murders of White victims were about 30% more likely to be solved than in cases with Hispanic victims, and about 50% more than when the victims were Black, the data show.

In dozens of interviews across the country, police and criminal justice experts have offered a range of explanations for these trends.

They’ve got to find some way to blame white people.

Check out the roundabout way they addressed the real issue: snitches get stitches.

Some factors are evident when visiting communities such as Jackson, Mississippi, which has suffered from one of the nation’s highest murder rates.

In that city of about 160,000 people, the police department responded to 153 murders in the past year but has just eight homicide detectives to work that caseload. FBI guidelines suggest homicide detectives should be covering no more than five cases at a time.

Police Chief James Davis said his department needs more of everything to keep up with the violence.

“The whole system is backlogged,” Davis said. “I could use more police officers. I could use more homicide detectives, but if the state is backed up, the court is backed up, we will still have the same problem by developing these cases that we’re already doing.”

Police are also contending with a breakdown in trust between their officers and the communities they serve, a result of decades of tensions that spilled over during high-profile cases of police misconduct in recent years.

That has made it harder for police to receive tips or obtain help from witnesses, said Danielle Outlaw, the commissioner of the Philadelphia Police Department. Outlaw told CBS News there is a history of “systemic inequities that contribute to the mistrust” in many communities most affected by crime.

Gee, I wonder what could have caused this breakdown in trust?

Was there some sort of “Movement” in 2020 that came to a head which said police are all evil white racists who are oppressing black people for no reason whatsoever other than the color of their skin?

Did police and the FBI decide to take a knee and blame white people for all of society’s ills rather than address our serious “inner city” crime problem?
