‘New McCarthyism:’ Professors investigated by their own universities speak out

Nearly two dozen professors investigated by their universities are now sounding the alarm on what they say were essentially witch hunts against them for doing something that upset the campus status quo.

The recently published book “Professors Speak Out: The Truth About Campus Investigations” contains 20 personal vignettes authored by professors who argue that the probes were largely unnecessary and unfounded, in some cases malicious, and certainly biased against them.

The topics of the probes centered around three main issues: sex; race and ethnicity; and religion and politics.

Edited by Nicholas Wolfinger, a professor of family and consumer studies at the University of Utah, the book details the experiences of scholars who faced so-called kangaroo courts, and some were fired from their jobs.

“The book features conservatives attacked for their views, and progressives attacked for theirs. Other cases, such as mine, were essentially apolitical,” Wolfinger told The College Fix in an email interview.

Anyone concerned with cancel culture or academic freedom, or who’s been critical of the modern academy, should read the book, he said, adding administrators who want to improve their institutions should also get a copy.

Reporter Asks Karoline Leavitt About Clinton Suicides and Epstein’s Ties to Israeli Intelligence Agencies After Trump Posts Video Tying the Clintons to Multiple Alleged Suicides

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt received a somewhat explosive question during Monday’s press briefing when a Zero Hedge reporter highlighted the bizarre deaths of associates of former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton and “the most famous Clinton-related suicide.”

Many who have been close to the Clinton family have allegedly died mysteriously or “committed suicide” over the years.

This includes deceased pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, with whom Bill Clinton partied on Epstein’s pedophile island. Clinton made at least 27 trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane. Most of those flights were with underage girls.

The Gateway Pundit has reported on a complete list of Clinton associates who died mysteriously or committed suicide before their public testimony. The list contains nearly 50 names.

Meta Is Accused of Flouting Privacy Rules With AI Training Data

Meta’s attempt to restart AI training using Europeans’ public social media activity has drawn renewed resistance, as the privacy rights organization noyb threatens fresh legal action. The group has formally challenged Meta’s latest move to mine user data, asserting the tech giant is sidestepping EU privacy obligations and advancing without regulatory clearance.

Following a halt in June 2024 prompted by regulatory concerns, Meta announced in April it would resume training its language models. This time, it intends to use public posts and user interactions, including with Meta AI, from adults across the European Union and European Economic Area.

The initial pause came after mounting pressure from the Irish Data Protection Commission and a wave of complaints submitted to authorities in various member states. According to Meta, a December opinion from the European Data Protection Board signaled that its approach satisfied legal standards.

‘Public Health Betrayal’: EPA Tosses Drinking Water Limits on 4 Toxic PFAS Chemicals

U.S. regulators said Wednesday they will do away with limits on certain types of toxic chemicals in U.S. drinking water, a move that critics warn could expose millions of Americans to dangerous contaminants.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said it intends to rescind limits set under President Joe Biden in April 2024 on four types of harmful per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) chemicals widely found in drinking water — perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA), perfluorohexane sulfonate (PFHxS), perfluorobutane sulfonate (PFBS) and GenX.

The EPA will keep the limits of 4 parts per trillion in drinking water for two other types of PFAS, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), the agency said in a statement.

But, in another move drawing criticism from health advocates, the agency said it will delay the deadline for drinking water systems to comply from 2029 to 2031.

“This is a public health betrayal, plain and simple,” said Melanie Benesh, vice president for government affairs at the nonprofit Environmental Working Group.

“Science is clear: PFAS are dangerous even in tiny amounts. The agency must protect all Americans, not just from two chemicals, but from the entire class of harmful PFAS.”

The four PFAS chemicals the EPA plans to roll back regulations for “are the ones currently in use because industry developed them to replace PFOA and PFOS, so they are the chemicals most likely to increase contamination in the future,” Betsy Southerland, a former EPA senior scientist and a former director in the agency’s Office of Water, said in a statement.

PFAS are types of chemicals that have long been used in a wide variety of products and industrial processes, but many have been linked to health problems that include certain cancers and immune system and reproductive harms.

Countries around the world have been pushing companies to eliminate the use of PFAS, known to be particularly dangerous, such as PFOS and PFOA, but the chemicals remain difficult to eradicate.

A recent study found residents of a Michigan community polluted with PFAS from a paper mill continue to have high levels of the chemicals in their blood, even though the mill closed down 25 years ago.

Denver’s Mayor Doubles Down on Defense of Illegal Aliens Despite Citizen’s Concerns

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston faced criticism this week after publicly stating he is “not bothered” by the influx of illegal immigrants in the city, despite growing frustration among local residents over the impact on public services, housing, and city budgets.

During a Friday interview on Colorado Public Radio’s Colorado Matters, Johnston responded to concerns about illegal immigration by defending those who enter the United States unlawfully, describing their actions as driven by “survival and desperation.”

His comments drew sharp reactions from taxpayers and community members who have voiced concerns about rising costs and city services being diverted to support individuals not lawfully present in the country.

When asked by co-host Ryan Warner about the frustration many Denver residents feel about undocumented migrants using public resources, Johnston said, “I’m not bothered by that.”

He explained his perspective by referencing his time as a school principal and sharing the story of a former undocumented student whose family fled cartel violence.

CBS News President Abruptly Resigns Amid Trump’s $20 Billion Lawsuit For Deceptively Editing ’60 Minutes’ Interview with Kamala Harris

esident Trump’s $20 billion lawsuit against the network’s parent company Paramount for deceptively editing a ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.

“It’s become clear that the company and I do not agree on a path forward,” Wendy McMahon said in an email to staff just weeks after the top “60 Minutes” producer resigned.

President Trump originally sought $10 billion in damages, but earlier this year he amended the complaint and increased it to $20 billion.

The New York Times reported:

CBS News faced another shock wave on Monday after its president, Wendy McMahon, abruptly said that she would exit her post, the latest development in an ongoing showdown between the news division and President Trump.

Ms. McMahon, whose full title was president of CBS News and Stations, said in a memo that “it’s become clear the company and I do not agree on the path forward.”

Tensions between Ms. McMahon and CBS’s parent company, Paramount, have simmered for months, a period that Ms. McMahon described in her memo as “challenging.”

Paramount is in talks to settle a $20 billion lawsuit brought by Mr. Trump that accused “60 Minutes” of deceptively editing an interview last year with his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris.

Many legal experts have called the suit baseless, but Paramount’s controlling shareholder, Shari Redstone, has said she favors settling the case. She is seeking the Trump administration’s approval for a multibillion-dollar sale of her company to a Hollywood studio, Skydance.

CBS executives are reportedly worried ongoing litigation with President Trump will interfere with a merger with Skydance.

‘There Are Chinese Spies At Stanford’: Bombshell Report Reveals CCP Student Espionage

Astudent newspaper at Stanford University dropped a bombshell report earlier this month revealing “there are Chinese spies at Stanford.”

The report, titled “Uncovering Chinese Academic Espionage at Stanford,” was published by The Stanford Review, an independent student-run newspaper. This alarming investigation is based on “over a dozen interviews conducted between July 2024 and April 2025, involving Stanford faculty members, current and former students, and independent experts specializing in Chinese intelligence operations and technology transfer.”

The report highlights three critical findings. First, it exposes that the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) Ministry of State Security (MSS) is actively recruiting or coercing Chinese students and scholars at Stanford to serve as “non-traditional” intelligence assets. The MSS demands these individuals gather information that it deems valuable. Rather than targeting classified documents, the MSS is focused on obtaining “the know-how behind American innovation,” which encompasses “conclusions from Stanford research projects, methodologies, software, lab workflows, collaborative structures, and even communication channels.” The agency is particularly interested in information related to artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.

Fears of Harassment, Losing Scholarships

The Stanford report underscores a critical nuance: not all Chinese students and scholars on campus are engaged in espionage for China. However, those who are involved often operate under vastly different motivations. While some choose to cooperate with the MSS voluntarily, others are unwitting victims of their government, acting out of fear, as highlighted by the Stanford Review. Reports indicate that some Chinese students feel pressured by MSS handlers in the U.S. who closely monitor their actions. The threat of repercussions, such as harassment of their family members back in China, looms large for these students.

Moreover, a pervasive fear of losing scholarships supplied by the Chinese government plays a significant role in this dynamic. The Stanford Review highlights the China Scholarship Council (CSC), a leading Chinese government agency that funds between 7 and 18 percent of Chinese students studying in the United States. Its sponsorship comes with stringent conditions: Students must align their research with state priorities, particularly those outlined in the government’s “Made-in-China 2025” industrial initiative. Furthermore, scholarship recipients must pass a loyalty test, pledge allegiance to the CCP, and agree to return to China upon completing their studies.

In addition, while studying in the U.S., the CSC mandates that sponsored students submit regular “situation reports” detailing their research to Chinese diplomatic missions, further emphasizing the controlling nature of this scholarship program. These students’ family members in China often serve as guarantors of these scholarships, and these guarantors will face financial penalties should their students “violate” the arrangement or refuse to go back to China.

‘For Posterity’s Sake’: Why the Biden-Hur Tapes is a Virtual Racketeering Indictment

“For posterity’s sake.” Those words from President Joe Biden sum up the crushing impact of the leaked audiotapes from the interview between then-President Joe Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur. Not only did they remove any serious doubt over Biden committing the federal crimes charged against President Donald Trump, but they also constituted what is akin to a political racketeering indictment against much of the Washington establishment.

The interview from Oct. 8-9, 2023, has long been sought by Congress, but was kept under wraps by the government even as Biden campaigned for a second term.

Many of us balked at Hur’s conclusion that no charges were appropriate despite the fact that the President removed classified material for decades, stored it in grossly negligent ways, and moved it around to unsecure locations, including his garage in Delaware.

Given President Donald Trump’s indictment for the same offenses, it was hard to imagine how the Special Counsel could not recommend the same criminal charges (presumably after he left office).

Instead, Hur declared it would have been hard to get a jury to convict Biden because he was “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

It appears that Trump, on the other hand, was presumptively not sympathetic or well-meaning and possessed a good memory for prosecution.

The contrast was glaring and only reinforced the view of many citizens that there are two tracks for justice in Washington.

Soon after the report’s release, President Biden gave an irate press conference in which he lied about the findings of his culpability and lashed out at any suggestion that he had gapped or stumbled in the interview.

For example, when reporters raised how Biden forgot when his son Beau died, Biden angrily responded, “How in the hell dare he raise that?” Frankly, when I was asked the question I thought to myself it wasn’t any of their damn business.”

However, it was not Hur but Biden himself who raised the death of his son, and he forgot a wide array of dates, including when he served in office.

Rep. James Comer Says STAFFERS Behind Biden’s Autopen Scandal When He was “Clearly in Mental Decline” Have Been IDENTIFIED — Warns Subpoenas Are Coming

The autopen scandal just erupted into a full-blown constitutional crisis.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) revealed in a bombshell interview with Jason Chaffetz that his committee has identified the shadowy White House staffers responsible for wielding President Joe Biden’s infamous autopen during a period when Biden was “clearly in mental decline.”

The autopen scandal first erupted in March when President Trump, in a fiery late-night Truth Social post, declared Joe Biden’s autopen pardons “VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT.”

Trump revealed that Biden, whom he branded “the Worst President in the History of our Country,” did not personally sign the pardons, nor was he even aware of them.

“Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them!” Trump wrote.

“The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime.”

By April, President Trump escalated his calls for accountability, demanding that the person or persons operating Biden’s autopen be JAILED.

“Why did the Auto Pen give Schiff a Pardon? Biden knew nothing about it. Who operated the Auto Pen? That is the biggest question being asked in D.C. They almost destroyed our Country. They should all be in jail!!!” Trump said on Truth Social.

On Saturday, Trump reacted to newly released audio from Special Counsel Robert Hur’s 2023 interview with Biden and labeled the autopen scandal a “major part” of the “real crime.”

“Whoever had control of the ‘AUTOPEN’ is looking to be a bigger and bigger scandal by the moment. It is a major part of the real crime, THAT THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2020 WAS RIGGED AND STOLEN!”

Palm Springs Bomber Identified, Identifies As ‘Pro-Mortalist’

According to a report, the bomber who destroyed a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California, Saturday has been identified, and he is allegedly 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus, who hails from the nearby desert city of Twentynine Palms. One person was killed (many are speculating that it was the bomber, although that hasn’t been officially announced yet), and four were wounded in the explosion that left a 250-yard debris field and could be felt miles away.

According to a 30-minute audiotape he left behind, Bartkus was a “pro-mortalist,” which is a bizarre philosophy that, among other things, decries the fact that we didn’t give our consent to be born.
