Calls for new Labour mayor to be sacked because he dressed up as Adolf Hitler for charity event

A newly appointed Labour mayor who dressed up as Adolf Hitler at a charity event is facing calls to resign.

Photographs of Seve Gomez-Aspron MBE wearing a German Army uniform, complete with swastika, and a fake moustache, previously surfaced online in 2019 when he was serving as a councillor for St Helens.

The series of snaps were taken at a fancy dress dinner in aid of Claire House Hospice, which supports seriously and terminally ill children, in 2009, when he was not yet a councillor.

Mr Gomez-Aspron said at the time the outfit was inspired by Mel Brooks‘ satirical comedy The Producers. He described the decision to wear it as ‘clumsy’.

But despite his apology, there is still much furor surrounding his recent appointment, with more than 1,000 people signing a petition for his removal as mayor.

According to the Sun, 11 councillors also walked out in protest during his swearing in ceremony on May 14.

‘He is reviled throughout St Helens for his inappropriate behaviour and attitude,’ a councillor told the newspaper.

‘Many feel that he is not fit for public office, never mind the prestigious role as mayor,’

The councillor told the Liverpool Echo the first time the photos went viral that they were taken in his early twenties, before he was a Labour Party member

He added at the time: ‘I have matured and learnt a lot since then, and it goes without saying that I would not do this now.

‘I know how this could be seen as insensitive and how it could cause hurt and offence.

‘That was not at all my intention and I sincerely apologise. I have part-Jewish ancestry and I recently visited Israel to commemorate those killed in the Holocaust and the war.’

But, for Mr Gomez-Aspron – who also once appeared on ITV’s Million Pound Drop where he scooped £100,000 with a pal – this scandal was not his first.

Just last year the then deputy leader of St Helens Council was forced to apologise for ‘offensive’ comments made towards a councillor during a meeting about a proposed rise in council tax.

Mr Gomez-Aspron described the councillor’s reasoning for voting against a 4.99% rise as ‘diatribe’ and claimed he has ‘not a clue what he is talking about’.

He went on to describe the man and another councillor as the ‘Earlestown Brain Trust’, before correcting himself by saying ‘it was wrong to imply there was a brain’.

Charges filed against Utah man accused of abusing his teen ‘spouse’

Criminal charges have been filed against a 29-year-old Midvale man accused of sexually assaulting and beating a pregnant teenager to whom he was allegedly “married.”

The man was charged Friday in 3rd District Court with four counts of unlawful sexual conduct, a third-degree felony, and assault of a pregnant woman, a class A misdemeanor. KSL.com is not naming the man to protect the identity of the victim.

The investigation began on May 13 when a 17-year-old girl, who is six weeks pregnant, reported being assaulted by a 29-year-old man. The girl lives with the man “as a religious spouse,” according to a police booking affidavit.

The girl, who is still in high school, “disclosed she had been in an arranged marriage since January 2024, when she was just shy of her 16th birthday,” the affidavit states. However, Unified police stated in the arrest report that “the marriage was completed through the Muslim religion but is not a legally recognized marriage.”

The girl revealed that she started having sexual intercourse with the man daily after they were “married.”

On the night of May 12, the two got into an argument, and the man “lunged at her and started hitting and kicking her. The victim believes she was hit and kicked by (him) at least 40-50 times,” according to the affidavit.

Police noted the girl had a “large golf ball-sized” bump on the side of her head and bruises on her forearms.

When the man was questioned by police, he “made no mention of having a current spouse or girlfriend,” the affidavit states.

Trans-identified male charged in fatal stabbing of wife in New Hampshire

New Hampshire woman Margaret Jasmin was stabbed to death on May 18 and her partner, Reya Jasmin, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Jasmin is a male who identifies as transgender who was found at the scene by police and was also injured.

A child was also at Plaistow, NH home, and was uninjured and has been removed. The child is believed to be 9 years old and the son of the Margaret and Reya Jasmin. Reya Jasmin, formerly David Mark Jasmin, began the gender change process in 2017, starting hormones in 2018. Margaret also started to transition after her husband did.

Documents from the New Hampshire Department of Justice refer to Reya Jasmin as a woman, saying “an arrest warrant was issued for Reya Jasmin charging her with one count of Second-Degree Murder.” Reya Jasmin has been accused of having recklessly caused the death of wife Margaret.

Many news outlets, from NBC Boston, Hoodline, WGME 13, News 7, Derry News, and others called Reya Jasmin a woman, despite the murder being an instance of a male partner allegedly killing his wife. The Maine Wire noted that the original press release from the NH DOJ correctly identified Reya Jasmin as a man before adjusting their language to reflect Jasmin’s preferred pronouns and gender identity. The Maine Wire reported that the murder was an “apparent murder-suicide attempt.”

Nebraska Lawmakers Reject Amendment To Protect Doctors Who Recommend Medical Marijuana

A late legislative attempt Wednesday to give additional protections to health care practitioners who recommend medical cannabis to Nebraska patients fell well short of moving forward a day after a broader medical cannabis regulatory bill stalled.

State Sen. John Cavanaugh (D) of Omaha sought to add those physician liability protections Wednesday to a broader Health and Human Services Committee bill: Legislative Bill 376. The measure seeks to slash various reporting requirements and make other changes primarily in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

Cavanaugh said his effort was a “solution” that would be a “small but meaningful step” for some of the families who showed up Tuesday for LB 677, the medical cannabis regulatory bill from State Sen. Ben Hansen (R) of Blair. LB 677 failed 23–22, falling 10 votes short of overcoming an all-day filibuster.

“Give these families some hope, some opportunity to get access to what the voters approved at over 70 percent,” Cavanaugh told his colleagues. “Vote to give doctors some small protection if they follow their conscience and their training.”

Under the ballot measures approved in November, a patient can possess up to 5 ounces of medical cannabis for any condition with a health care practitioner’s recommendation.

FDA Forces Moderna and Pfizer to Admit Covid “Vaccines” Cause Lasting Heart Damage in Young Males

For years, parents and medical professionals have sounded the alarm about the dangerous link between mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and heart inflammation in young males—only to be dismissed as “anti-vaxxers” or conspiracy theorists. Now, in a stunning reversal, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has ordered Pfizer and Moderna to strengthen their warning labels, finally admitting that these shots can cause long-lasting heart damage, particularly in adolescent boys and young men.

But this admission comes far too late—after millions of doses were administered under false pretenses, after countless young lives were altered by myocarditis, and after public health agencies actively suppressed the truth. The FDA’s belated action raises a critical question: How many more injuries could have been prevented if the government had prioritized transparency over blind vaccine promotion?

Key points:

  • The FDA has mandated that Pfizer and Moderna update their COVID-19 vaccine labels to include stronger warnings about myocarditis and pericarditis, particularly in males aged 16 to 25.
  • New data reveals that myocardial injury is often long-lasting, contradicting earlier CDC claims that heart inflammation “tends to resolve quickly.”
  • The highest incidence of myocarditis occurs in young males, with 38 cases per million doses—far higher than previously acknowledged.
  • Internal government emails show that health officials deliberately avoided warning the public about these risks, even after detecting safety signals in 2021.
  • The FDA’s action follows a Senate investigation exposing how federal agencies downplayed and hid vaccine injuries.

A long-overdue admission of harm

For years, independent researchers and medical professionals warned that mRNA vaccines posed a disproportionate risk to young, healthy individuals—especially males. Yet, public health agencies dismissed these concerns, insisting that the benefits outweighed the risks. Now, the FDA has been forced to acknowledge what health freedom fighters have said all along: These vaccines can cause serious, sometimes permanent, heart damage.

The updated labels must now state that myocardial injury is common among those who develop post-vaccination myocarditis, with data showing persistent damage five months after vaccination. This directly contradicts the CDC’s previous assurances that cases were “mild” and “resolved quickly.”

Why did it take so long? Internal documents obtained through FOIA requests reveal that as early as May 2021, the CDC and FDA considered issuing a public warning but ultimately chose silence over transparency.

The suppression of truth and the cost of deception

The Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations recently released a damning report exposing how federal health agencies systematically concealed the myocarditis risk linked to COVID-19 vaccines. Internal emails reveal that officials engaged in a coordinated cover-up by refusing to update the V-safe reporting system to include cardiac symptoms, ensuring countless cases were never documented. Additionally, they blocked a planned Health Alert Network warning that would have alerted doctors and the public to the dangers, prioritizing public perception over transparency.

Liberals Suddenly Value Fiscal Responsibility After Budget Office Says More Births Will Increase Deficit

Liberals have a new argument for keeping federal money flowing to Planned Parenthood: defunding the organization would cost taxpayers more.

Democrats and abortion advocates are framing the defunding of one of the largest abortion providers in the country as a financial “cost” to taxpaying Americans. Citing estimates from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), they are voicing concern that the GOP’s plan to block Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood through the GOP reconciliation bill would increase the national deficit by $300 million due to more babies being born.

“About three in four people say they oppose defunding Planned Parenthood health centers. But Republicans do not care — they need to appease their far-right, anti-choice fringe,” Democratic Washington Sen. Patty Murray said on May 14 about the CBO’s estimates. “Although the irony is, in this case, defunding Planned Parenthood would actually cost our country more money in the long term.”

Murray’s office did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Planned Parenthood performed over 400,000 abortions in fiscal year 2023-24 and received more than $700 million in government reimbursements and grants, according to its latest annual report. In contrast, private contributions dropped 31% relative to the previous fiscal year, totaling $684.1 million.

The CBO declined to clarify how the deficit would increase due to the federal cuts in response to a DCNF inquiry.

However, the CBO stated in 2015 that a House bill to block federal funding to Planned Parenthood would increase spending by $130 million over the course of a decade. The reason, CBO explained, was that the bill would reduce “services that help women avert pregnancies” and that “additional births that would result from enacting such a bill would add to federal spending for Medicaid.”

Now It All Makes Sense: Tapper Lets It Slip That Coming Clean on Biden Is Really About Getting Trump

If chutzpah could take human form, it would strongly resemble CNN’s Jake Tapper.

The recent spectacle of Tapper making the rounds on the interview circuit to promote his latest book, “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” co-authored with Alex Thompson, has such a wolf-in-the-henhouse feel to it that both the interview tour and the five-years-too-late investigation into former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline simply must involve sinister, ulterior motives.

Sure enough, in an interview posted to the social media platform X Friday, Tapper revealed those motives.

“This applies to Donald Trump, too,” Tapper said of the lack of transparency surrounding the former president’s health.

Ah, there it is.

Tapper, who actively participated in the cover-up of Biden’s decline, now has a public service to perform.

Apparently, this wasn’t about a historic political scandal in which Biden’s surrogates and allies in the establishment media gaslit the American public for four years while propping up a corrupt, pudding-brained old fool whose existence provided cover for their war against American citizens — a scandal perpetrated by specific people who committed specific crimes. No! This story involves lessons for the future!

“Donald Trump has released, like, nothing about his health,” Tapper added. “And while there aren’t the questions of acuity, there are certainly questions about his health.”

Questions about President Donald Trump’s health? What questions, exactly? Could anyone outside the establishment media fail to recognize Trump’s superhuman work ethic? The president accomplishes more in a week than Tapper does in a year, and yet the establishment shill has the audacity to question Trump’s health?

Of course, to maintain his disinterested facade, Tapper proceeded to frame the question as a constitutional one.

“We can’t have this as a country,” the establishment journalist said. “We have such a powerful executive branch, and at this stage, such an un-co-equal legislative branch, and such weak political parties, [that] we’re really racing towards a very dangerous situation.”

Supreme Court: Children Of Illegal Aliens Or Tourists Are Not U.S. Citizens

On the very day Donald Trump became president again, he signed an executive order prospectively eliminating birthright citizenship for children born to aliens unlawfully present in the United States.

Immediately, lawsuits were filed in a half-dozen jurisdictions across the country challenging this order.

The groups bringing these suits claim the order disrupts long-standing legal norms governing citizenship. Yet, in fact, Trump’s contention — that birthright citizenship is not possessed by children of illegal aliens under the “correct interpretation of the law” — is exactly right.

Birthright citizenship is conventionally understood to apply to any child born in the United States, regardless of the immigration status of that child’s parents. This view is based on the common law principle of jus soli (“right of soil”), which is said to be incorporated in the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. This understanding of the Citizenship Clause, however, despite its prevalence in academia and political commentary, is based on a mistaken and incomplete reading of controlling Supreme Court precedent.

In fact, birthright citizenship, as provided for in the Citizenship Clause, as that clause has been authoritatively construed by the Supreme Court, is possessed only by children born in the United States to at least one parent who is lawfully residing in the United States.

Ratified in the aftermath of the Civil War with the aim of remedying the injustices of the Dred Scott decision, the Fourteenth Amendment granted citizenship to “all persons born … in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” This latter phrase has been wrongly equated with “subject to the laws thereof,” and thus to entail that all persons born in the United States are U.S. citizens, with only a few narrow exceptions, such as children born to diplomats.

Yet the Supreme Court has construed the phrase “subject to the jurisdiction” more narrowly, most notably in seminal cases that have been taught — well or ill — in law schools ever since.

British Airways Extends Suspension Of Israel Flights As More Houthi Missiles Target Airport

Another ballistic missile fired from Yemen has targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel on Friday, in reportedly the third such attack on Israel within 24 hours.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced the fresh attack in a televised statement, saying “The Houthi forces targeted Ben Gurion Airport with a hypersonic ballistic missile” and that the attack “successfully achieved its goal.”

While the Houthis have repeatedly claimed “hypersonic” missile attacks over several weeks, there’s as yet no evidence that they possess this advanced technology. Still, it has become clear that Israel’s advanced air defense systems at time have trouble intercepting the inbound projectiles, as a May 4th attack demonstrated.

The Houthis spokesman claimed of this new Friday attack that it caused “millions of Zionist settlers to flee to shelters and halted airport operations.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged an inbound missile, which set off warning sirens in central Israel, but did not indicate any ground strikes or damage:

Early on Friday morning, sirens blared across Tel Aviv as a result of the Yemeni missile. The Israeli army said in a statement that it intercepted the missile.

A Yemeni missile was also intercepted by Israeli air defenses on Thursday afternoon, following an earlier missile attack, which Tel Aviv also said it intercepted.

The Houthis have been stepping up attacks on Israel in recent weeks, and after a few major waves of Israeli strikes on Yemen, which destroyed the international airport in Sanaa.

While such Israeli retaliation has clearly caused much damage and death inside Yemen, the constant Houthi fire is also impacting Israel – at least on an economic and logistical level.

Times of Israel reports Friday on more foreign carriers suspending operations at Israeli airports:

British Airways joins the growing list of companies extending their cancellation of flights to and from Israel following the Houthi missile strike near Ben Gurion Airport at the beginning of the month.

Hebrew media reports that British Airways has extended its suspension until the end of July.

Crypto investor allegedly tortured captive Italian businessman with a chainsaw for weeks in luxe NYC pad in sadistic scheme to gain password: sources

A cryptocurrency investor from Kentucky is suspected of torturing an Italian businessman with a chainsaw in a sadistic, weeks-long extortion attempt to gain the password for his accounts at a ritzy Manhattan apartment – before the captive made a daring escape, police sources said.

John Woeltz, 37, was arrested after the bloodied and bruised businessman – a 28 year-old man – broke out of the SoHo house of horrors Friday morning, ran to a police officer and said he’d been held prisoner for more than two weeks, the sources said.

Cops rushed to the luxurious Prince Street pad – which Woeltz was allegedly renting for roughly $30,000 to $40,000 a month – and discovered multiple Polaroid photos showing the businessman being tied up with electrical wire and tortured, including one of him bound to a chair with a gun pointed at his head, according to the sources.

Since being taken captive, the businessman had been bound with an electric cord, Tased while his feet were put in water, pistol-whipped, forced to take cocaine and threatened to have his limbs cut off with an electric chainsaw, the sources said.

The nightmare erupted from a dispute over cryptocurrency, in which the suspect allegedly tried to extort millions of dollars from the man by unleashing a litany of horrific tortures, according to sources.

The man was rushed to Bellevue Hospital for treatment, while cops arrested Woeltz, who was expected to face an assault charge, the sources said.

Woeltz was charged Friday night with two counts of second-degree assault, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree, first degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal possession of a weapon.

A second person — 24-year-old Beatrice Folchi of Manhattan — was also arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
