Trump Confirms a Secret Service Agent Was Shot at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

President Donald Trump held an urgent press conference from the White House on Saturday evening, just hours after a gunman opened fire inside the Washington Hilton during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The president confirmed that a Secret Service agent had been shot, but was saved by his bulletproof vest.

“I just spoke to the officer. He’s in great shape!” Trump told reporters.

Trump said that the vest “did the job” and protected the agent from what could have been a fatal incident.

Trump repeatedly praised the bravery of the Secret Service team, saying they quickly neutralized the threat and prevented a much worse tragedy.

Following the shooting, the event was cut short, and Trump was evacuated along with Melania Trump before being rushed back to the White House.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the suspected shooter has been identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen of California, who is alive and in custody.

Allen worked as a teacher and was named “Teacher of the Month” in December 2024 at C2 Education in Torrance, according to an Instagram post.

Timothy Leary—1960s Acid Guru—May Have Been Among the CIA’s Greatest Assets

uring the mid-1960s, as political activism against the Vietnam War and other social ills skyrocketed, Dr. Timothy Leary, a former University of California at Berkeley and Harvard professor, traveled the U.S. urging young people to “turn on” to lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), “tune in and drop out” of “high school, junior executives” and other societal institutions.

Leary had been fired after distributing LSD to students at Harvard in 1963 and subsequently moved to the Millbrook Estate in New York where he continued to carry on experiments with LSD through a foundation that he established.

At the time, Leary’s message seemed subversive.

Leary was touting LSD as a consciousness-expanding drug that could induce sexual euphoria among women and lead to the development of a more peaceful society.

However, in hindsight, Leary proved to be a false prophet who helped destroy the 1960s movements by pushing young people to take a drug that fried their brains and diverted their energy from political activism.

UK Biobank Failures Expose the Permanent Cost of Sharing Genetic and Medical Records

The genetic sequences, medical scans, and lifestyle records of half a million British volunteers spent days listed for sale on Alibaba before anyone at UK Biobank noticed.

Three academic institutions, since banned from the platform, had quietly walked the data out through a research system that was supposed to keep it under lock and key.

At least one of the three Alibaba listings appeared to contain the full dataset covering every one of the 500,000 participants who handed over their blood, their DNA, and decades of personal health information on the understanding it would be used for medical research.

The UK government confirmed the breach on Thursday. Technology minister Ian Murray told the House of Commons that Biobank had flagged the incident on Monday, and that the Chinese government and Alibaba had cooperated to pull the listings down before any purchases went through. Murray thanked Beijing directly for its “speed and seriousness” in taking down the data, a sentence that carries some weight given the three research institutions identified as the source are Chinese, though officials have declined to draw conclusions about intent.

Professor Rory Collins, Biobank’s chief executive and principal investigator, issued a statement saying the listings “were swiftly removed before any purchases were made.” He apologized to participants and confirmed that access to the research platform had been suspended while the organization installs file size limits designed to stop researchers from walking off with bulk datasets.

An automated checking system to vet outgoing files is not expected to be ready until late 2026.

The sales listing is not the scandal. The scandal is what the sales listing reveals about how often Biobank’s data has already been exposed and where it now sits.

Prof Luc Rocher of the Oxford Internet Institute has been tracking the problem and maintains a public record of known incidents. By his count, the Alibaba posting is “the 198th known exposure of UK Biobank data since last summer.” Rocher added that the data “is not just available for sale, it also remains available online for anyone to download today.” Researchers have repeatedly uploaded the dataset to code-sharing platforms by accident, and copies have since been replicated across the web. Taking down one Alibaba listing does nothing about the other 197.

Biobank’s response to this pattern has been to emphasize that the data is “de-identified” and that no participant has been knowingly re-identified. The reassurance rests on a technical claim that does not survive contact with the evidence.

North Carolina superintendent defends children’s Pride book featuring BDSM gear because children may see it ‘in their community’

A North Carolina school superintendent of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro school district was grilled by state lawmakers in the legislature after being accused of breaking state law having to do with parents’ rights and the inclusion of sexually inappropriate material in school libraries. When he was asked about a book that contained men dressed in BDSM, he didn’t take any issue with it and said that children may see it “in their community.”

Dr. Rodney Trice, superintendent of Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, was being grilled by North Carolina Republican Majority Leader Brenden Jones in a viral clip that has spread on X.

Trans substitute teacher, 19, allegedly plotted chilling ‘murder spree’ at a Virginia school

A Virginia transgender substitute teacher was arrested for allegedly plotting a chilling “murder spree” at a local school — and bragging online about having a disturbing hit list.

Hadyn Dollery, 19, was busted on school grounds Monday after posting threatening messages on Discord targeting John Champe High School in Stone Ridge, about 40 miles west of Washington, DC, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and multiple outlets.

Police said a tip on the department’s Safe2Talk app exposed the suspect’s sinister online posts.

The accused would-be attacker allegedly unleashed threats against family and friends on the messaging app, including disturbing talks of a mass killing at the school, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the Loudon Times-Mirror.

The warped teen, of Chantilly, also claimed to have a “kill list,’ the complaint said.

Dollery worked as a “non-licensed” substitute teacher for the 2025-26 school year but was later scrubbed from the district’s list after being thrown behind bars, the outlet reported.

The long-haired suspect, seen grinning in their mugshot, was charged with threats of bodily harm and is now being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, cops said.

Would-be UFO whistleblower died of accidental drug overdose after agreeing to testify to Congress

An Air Force veteran who agreed to testify before Congress about secret government UFO programs died just months before the hearings of an accidental drug overdose, The Post has learned.

Matthew James Sullivan, 39, died at his home in Falls Church, Va., on May 12, 2024 from a lethal mix of alcohol, alprazolam, cyclobenzaprine and imipramine, according to the Northern District Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Alprazolam is generic Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication; cyclobenzaprine is a powerful prescription muscle relaxant that works on the central nervous system; imipramine is a drug for children used to treat anxiety and bedwetting.

The mysterious death is of “grave concern” to Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.), who referred the matter for investigation to the FBI due to “implications for national security,” according to a letter obtained by The Post.

“Mr. Sullivan’s death was a local Virginia medical examiner case, and the manner and circumstances of
his of death raise substantial questions, as he was preparing to provide testimony to Congress,” the April 16 letter addressed to FBI Director Kash Patel read.

“The sudden and suspicious circumstances surrounding his death raise significant concerns about potential foul play and the safety of other individuals involved in this matter.”

Trove of leaked documents prove US lab where missing scientists worked was studying UFOs, documentary claims

A trove of documents from the now-dead cybersecurity chief of Los Alamos National Laboratory — where two of the 11 missing or dead US scientists worked — purport to show that the US government secretly conducted UFO-related experiments for decades, according to a new documentary.

Reporter Jeremy Corbell claims in the upcoming flick “Sleeping Dog” that he received the valuable classified documents from the son of the deceased ex-cybersecurity chief at the highly secretive New Mexico lab.

“Throughout my work as a journalist, I have become a central clearinghouse for sensitive [Unidentified Aerial Phenomena] material in my reporting,” Corbell said to The Post.

“It is now routine for families of deceased insiders to contact me with hidden documents their loved ones left behind,” he said.

“This kid, after his dad passed away, starts going through [his effects] and realizes, ‘Oh, this is some heavy stuff,” Corbell said in the documentary, which was previewed by The Post.

“I start noticing, I know some of the names. I know some of the scientists personally. They’ve never told me that they did these studies on UFOs,” said Corbell.

Pakistan: Professor Sentenced to Death Following Blasphemy Charges

Pakistan’s blasphemy laws are among the world’s most egregious tools of religious repression. They enable abuse, mob violence, and the targeting of individuals and religious minorities (including Christians) for criminal prosecutions that carry life sentences and death penalties.

Pakistani professor Junaid Hafeez, for instance, is imprisoned and sentenced to death for alleged blasphemy.

In 2013, police in Punjab Province arrested Hafeez, who was then an academic in his twenties. The professor has remained incarcerated ever since.

In 2019, a court sentenced Hafeez to death under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws following a trial whose delays spanned several years. The trial finally took place inside a high-security prison amid fears of mob violence. Hafeez’s appeal has yet to be heard.

According to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF),

In March 2013, authorities arrested Hafeez, a lecturer at Bahauddin Zakariya University, after his students accused him of blaspheming Islam on social media. In 2014, authorities placed him in solitary confinement after other prisoners repeatedly attacked him. That same year, two gunmen shot to death Hafeez’s lawyer, Rashin Rehman, in his office.

In December 2019, a district and sessions court in Multan sentenced Hafeez to death for “insulting the Prophet Muhammad” (Sec. 295-C PPC). He was also sentenced to life in prison for “desecrating the Qur’an” (Sec. 295-B PPC) and 10 years’ imprisonment for “intending to outrage religious feelings” (Sec. 295-A PPC). United Nations experts swiftly condemned Hafeez’s sentence.

Prior to his arrest, Hafeez received a master’s degree in the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship. He specialized in American literature, photography, and theatre.

On February 26, Human Rights Watch (HRW) issued a statement about Hafeez’s case. In it, HRW said:

“Junaid Hafeez’s case is emblematic of the unjust and abusive nature of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws,” said Elaine Pearson, Asia director at Human Rights Watch. “The authorities should quash Hafeez’s conviction and safely release him and others held under the blasphemy laws.”

The blasphemy laws, section 295-C, and other provisions of Pakistan’s penal code carry what is effectively a mandatory death sentence. Although there have been no executions, several people are currently on death row, while dozens are serving life sentences for related offenses. Hundreds have been charged under the law in the past three decades.

On February 27, the European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ) submitted an official contribution to the U.N. Special Rapporteur regarding summary, extrajudicial, or arbitrary executions in Pakistan. In it, the ECLJ denounces the mandatory and automatic imposition of the death penalty for blasphemy against Islam in the country:

Those accused of blasphemy in Pakistan are sentenced to death by hanging. The death penalty, let alone by hanging, is egregious and disproportionate in blasphemy cases. It clearly amounts to torture. Notably, the Pakistani government has never carried out the death sentence in blasphemy cases. However, the accused spend years on death row. Additionally, many accused, their families, and communities have faced mob violence…

The authorities have also failed to stop mob attacks by private actors, such as fundamentalist individuals and organizations in blasphemy cases. In many cases, mobs gather and attack the accused, their families, and their communities. Where the accused are arrested and tried, fundamentalist organizations continue to pack the courtrooms to intimidate judges. As a result, trial courts rarely acquit the accused, leaving their fate up to the higher courts.

Even an accusation of blasphemy can provoke mob violence against victims, as well as their families and the wider Christian community. On Aug. 16, 2023, allegations of blasphemy against two Christian residents in Jaranwala (Faisalabad district of Punjab Province) led to a Muslim mob vandalizing and destroying over 20 churches and more than 80 Christian houses.

The Vindication of Ayaan Hirsi Ali and a Long Overdue Reckoning for the Southern Poverty Law Center

Ayaan Hirsi Ali has been under attack by Muslim groups for more than two decades. Her work in trying to free Muslim women from the tyranny, the beatings, the forced genital mutilation by Muslim men has resulted in death threats against her, too numerous to count.

A close friend and collaborator, Theo van Gogh, was butchered on an Amsterdam street in 2004 by a Muslim terrorist. Suffice it to say that “hate” — real, soul-destroying, all-consuming hate — is something that Hirsi Ali is quite familiar with.

Exposing the truth about Islamic societies, their oppression of women, and virulent antagonism directed against other religions became her life’s work. Yet, despite the target on her back and the need for constant protection from attack, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) branded her an “anti-Muslim extremist.”

“I have lived under armed protection for more than two decades because men with weapons and conviction want me dead—for apostasy; for writing about Islamist-driven antisemitism and the subversive actions of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist groups in the West; for drawing attention to practices such as honor killings and female genital mutilation; for arguing that Muslim women deserve the same protections under the law as other women,” writes Hirsi Ali in The Free Press.

But those crimes by Islamists play a secondary role to the glorious mission of the SPLC. Groups like the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazis, and other violent white supremacists are only players in a massive fundraising game by the SPLC. If individuals like Hirsi Ali are exposed to blood-curdling threats and attempts on her life, that’s just part of the game.

The SPLC placed Ali on a blacklist called “A Journalist’s Manual: Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Extremists,” along with 15 other “anti-Muslim extremists.” It accused her of using “the political bully pulpit to bash Muslims.”

“Maajid Nawaz, a reformed radical who ran a counter-extremism organization, and an array of figures also dedicated to combating Islamism and antisemitism, such as David Horowitz and Daniel Pipes,” were also on the list, according to The Free Press. Nawaz sued the SPLC and won a handsome $3.4 million settlement. The list of “anti-Muslim extremists” quickly disappeared.

But that lawsuit began a collapse of SPLC’s fundraising juggernaut. It was described in a 2000 investigation as the “wealthiest civil rights organization in America.”

Conspiracies are Fact not Theory

The media often talk about “conspiracy theorists.” That, of course, is a clever piece of deceit. Conspiracies are real, and the conspiracy practitioners are close to running our world.

The conspirators’ plan has followed a simple but well-worn path. First, they revised the definition of a pandemic so that any ordinary annual flu could be described as a dangerous pandemic. Second, they created a serious problem (an allegedly deadly infection) so that they could offer their chosen solution – a toxic, experimental, inadequately tested vaccine which they tried desperately to make compulsory – with the aid of the lies told by obedient, compliant politicians, journalists, media doctors, celebrities and YouTube influencers, all of whom were taking full advantage of the fact that anyone telling the truth would be demonised, silenced and destroyed. Vaccine manufacturers and promoters joined forces with Bill Gates’s World Health Organisation to spread confusion, lies and fear, and to offer profitable, immediately accessible solutions. People were told that terrible things would happen to them if they were not vaccinated.

The human immune system (a vital protection against infections and cancer) is being deliberately targeted and destroyed by the barrage of vaccines.

When I, and other doctors, tried to suggest that people should take vitamin D supplements during the pointless lockdowns, which were an integral part of the covid-19 fraud, we were silenced. YouTube, an unforgiveably wicked promotional platform operating for the conspirators, took down videos in which I and other doctors explained why vitamin D supplements were vital. A study done in Spain in 2020 showed that for covid-19 positive patients who were admitted to hospital with pneumonia, the risk of being admitted to an intensive care unit and connected to a ventilator was reduced by a factor of 25 if their vitamin D levels were raised. (Ventilators were lethal and were wildly overused.) Many of those who were not given vitamin D simply died unnecessarily.

Doctors who failed to prescribe vitamin D in such circumstances should lose their licences, be sued for malpractice and arrested and charged with manslaughter. In reality, of course, nothing will happen to them.

Censorship and truth suppression is not new, of course. From a personal point of view, it’s difficult to know precisely when the censorship and the oppression really began, and it’s always been difficult to know who was behind it. But there has been no doubt in my mind that it has, for a long time, been very real. The story of how I have been censored, suppressed, vilified, lied about, libelled, oppressed, demonised, threatened and very nearly killed illustrates the way the truth has been suppressed.

In the 1970s and 1980s, I wrote and campaigned a good deal about animal experiments (of which I always heartily disapproved on scientific grounds as well as on humanitarian grounds) and the police in general, and special branch in particular, started taking a close interest in my work from that time on.

Whenever I went to speak at an anti-vivisection rally, I would have my own police video cameraman. He would follow me round and film me and everyone I spoke to.

Robin Webb was the Animal Liberation Front’s official press officer and he had his own police cameraman too. When we met and talked, our two devoted cameramen would stand beside us filming us both. I photographed a bunch of policemen who were following me once and wrote and illustrated (with photographs) an article about them for the Sunday People newspaper, where I was a columnist. One of the photographs was captioned ‘The Hand of Plod’.

On one occasion, I was prevented from travelling to a demonstration by a police sergeant who threatened to arrest me simply for driving on the road. I sued the Chief Constable. The judge didn’t like me suing a policeman.

The son of a dear friend of mine worked for Special Branch and told me (via his father) that although they followed all my activities closely, they did not regard me as dangerous in a physical sense. “Following my activities closely” meant that they tapped my telephone, sucked messages off my fax machine and every time I moved house, someone arranged for one or two telecom vans to sit parked outside my gate for days at a time. Whenever I asked what they were doing, the men inside the van replied that they were just making sure that my telephone line worked well. And this without my ever making a complaint about a dodgy line.

Another MI5 operative confirmed what I had been told.
