Connecticut Dem Says ICE Is Jim Crow. DHS Replies With List of Illegal Alien Thugs

After the Democrat governor of Connecticut compared immigration enforcement to Jim Crow oppression — ironic considering Jim Crow was the Democrats’ regime — the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) replied with a disquieting list of illegal alien criminals arrested in Connecticut.

CT Mirror celebrated a gubernatorial bill signing May 4, claiming it would require federal agents to display their names or badge numbers — facilitating the already out-of-control doxxing against ICE — persecute ICE for defending themselves with lethal force, and prevent arrests at schools and churches. It appears that Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont might have made his disgusting accusations at his bill signing, when he claimed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are “brutal,” criticized Trump for referring to criminal illegal aliens as “criminal aliens,” and compared immigration enforcement to the historical Know-Nothing party, anti-Catholic laws, and “Jim Crow laws.” “Never before…has it been led by the White House,” he pontificated, ignoring the numerous Democrat presidents who explicitly aligned themselves with the KKK and political violence.

DHS was quick to respond to Lamont’s propaganda with a list of the despicable illegal alien criminals who were living in — and quite possibly receiving taxpayer-funded benefits in — Connecticut before ICE arrested them. The aliens’ crimes include murder, pedophilic sexual assault, and child abuse.

The New York Times’s Latte Logic of Social Collapse

Three days before a 31-year-old male stormed the White House Correspondents Dinner, hoping to assassinate President Donald Trump and members of his cabinet, the New York Times published a 35-minute video titled: “‘The Rich Don’t Play by the Rules. So Why Should I?’ Why petty theft might be the new political protest.” In it, a Times editor interviewed two other members of the media aristocracy about the moral code shared by a large swathe of young Americans.

That code justifies theft—and even violence—when harnessed to a fashionably left-wing cause. None of the participants—podcasting celebrity Hasan Piker, New Yorker writer Jia Tolentino, and Times opinion editor Nadja Spiegelman—expressed alarm at the glorification of crime. They smirked and giggled through the discussion, betraying a breezy indifference to lawbreaking.

It was striking enough that the Times published the video after reviewing the final cut. The paper was not embarrassed by the participants’ ignorance and entitlement. Nor was it troubled, apparently, by their debate over whether the December 2024 murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was “actually effective political action” or merely—and disappointingly—effective “political consciousness-raising.”

But after the assassination attempt on Trump on April 25 by yet another young megalomaniac, one might have thought that the Times would want to distance itself from its hipster commentators and their ends-justify-the-means morality.

It apparently feels no such discomfort, however, and thus has left the video online. That is fortunate. The exchange offers a more revealing window into left-wing political violence than the latest would-be assassin’s predictably disjointed manifesto. When future archeologists seek to date the moment that the demise of the West became inevitable, this artefact of peak decadence will be a strong contender.

The video’s most memorable feature is the visual contrast between the participants’ studied downtown chic and their professed identification with what Piker calls the “masses.” Tolentino’s makeup is flawless, accentuating her exotic feline beauty; her nails gleam with shell-pink lacquer; her carefully styled waves glow with tawny highlights; her low-cut denim tank top, jeans, and high-heeled boots signal urban sophisticate. This outfit may not be ideally suited to organizing the proletarian “sabotage and, sort of, engagement with property destruction” she evokes with wistful nostalgia. But it fits perfectly in the all-white Brooklyn loft where the interview was filmed.

Piker sports a powder-blue, long-sleeved Ralph Lauren shirt, complete with polo pony logo. His tennis shoes are by Adidas, the very embodiment of the “system of global capital” that he claims to want to overthrow, complete with allegations of labor abuses in its Chinese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian factories.

Admittedly, Spiegelman’s plumpness might earn her some demerits when trying to enter a Soho nightspot, but her Times affiliation can do wonders to overcome deviations from the optimal clubbing look.

Staffer for Dem Sen. Cory Booker Who Brought Gun Into Capitol Without a License Saw Charges Quickly Dropped: DOJ

A staffer for Democratic Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, who was arrested last year for bringing a pistol into the Capitol without a license, saw the charges quickly dropped and walked away from the incident without further consequence, despite lingering questions.

This is quite a surprise, especially given how radical the Democratic Party is about gun regulations, the Second Amendment, and gun-free zones.

In an article published last week, Politico reported the Justice Department recently discovered that the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia chose not to prosecute Kevin Batts in April 2025, about two weeks after his arrest.

Timothy Lauer, a spokesperson for Booker’s office, said in a statement that Batts didn’t face criminal charges because he had an active New Jersey retired law enforcement carry permit.

Batts is a retired Newark police detective and reportedly serves as a special assistant and driver for Booker.

This is strange, however, because at the time of Batts’ arrest, the U.S. Capitol Police said, “All weapons are prohibited from Capitol Grounds, even if you are a retired law enforcement officer, or have a permit to carry in another state or the District of Columbia.”

How did Batts get away with this? If an average citizen bought a pistol onto Capitol grounds, they’d likely be facing a judge and jury, or would be pressured into taking a plea deal, even if they, too, were a retried police officer.

A Capitol Police spokesperson said that the department “arrested Mr. Batts on March 31, 2025, for Carrying a Pistol Without a License (Outside Home or Place of Business), Unlawful Activities, Possession of Unregistered Firearm, and Possession of Unregistered Ammunition.”

When the U.S. Attorney’s office was questioned by Politico about the last three charges, it referred the outlet to its previous statement about Batt’s carry permit.

Batts even received $6,000 from donors for a legal defense fund, according to filings that were examined by Politico.

He received two contributions. One was reportedly for $5,000 from Elizabeth Naftali of Studio City, California, and $1,000 from Patrick Dunican Jr., of Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Naftali, a big Democratic Party donor, had contributed to Booker’s past campaigns. In a sickening and almost laughable twist, she also purchased artwork from Hunter Biden, the former president’s son who has been at the center of controversy for years.

The worst part of the story is the double standard, though. While Batts was allowed to slide, another staffer who had a similar issue back in 2021 didn’t get off so easily.

Capitol Police initially failed to catch a loaded Glock 9mm handgun when it passed through an X-ray screening machine at the Longworth House Office Building.

Jeffrey Allsbrooks, who said he “forgot the gun was in his bag,” proceeded to walk through security and was gone before they realized he might be armed. The building was put on lockdown until he was found.

Allsbrooks, who worked for the non-partisan House Chief Administrative Office, had a concealed carry permit in nearby Virginia, but was not licensed to carry in D.C. He was questioned and transported to Capitol Police headquarters, according to Roll Call.

He was processed, moved to a central cell block, and originally faced four charges: possession of an unregistered firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm; possession of unregistered ammunition, and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.

GOP bill earmarks $1B in taxpayer funds for ballroom Trump said donors would cover

Senate Republicans have expanded the scope of their immigration enforcement funding package to include $1 billion for security upgrades in the White House ballroom project and $1.5 billion for the Justice Department’s investigative and prosecutorial efforts.

The filibuster-proof budget reconciliation package that Republicans hope to pass this month provides a total of $71.8 billion through fiscal 2029, designed to last through President Trump’s term.

The bulk of the money, $69.3 billion, will go to the Department of Homeland Security to fund immigration enforcement agents and operations.

Democrats filibustered the annual Homeland Security Department appropriations bill over their objection to funding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Border Patrol functions of U.S. Customs and Border Protection without significant policy changes.

That led to a record 76-day department shutdown, which ended last week after Congress passed a spending bill that funded the department, except for ICE and Border Patrol.

The budget reconciliation package is designed to fill those gaps. It provides $38.2 billion for ICE and $26.1 billion for CBP, as well as $5 billion in additional funding for the Department of Homeland Security, to be used largely at its discretion.

Much of the language describing the allowable uses of the funding is purposefully broad.

Still, it has a few specifications, including that $3.5 billion of the Border Patrol funding be set aside for upgrades of border surveillance and screening technology and “new platforms for rapid air and marine response capabilities.”

The $1 billion for the White House ballroom also falls under the Homeland Security Department. The funds are directed to the Secret Service for “security adjustments and upgrades” related to the project.

The Secret Service is planning to build an annex underneath the ballroom, along with other military-grade security infrastructure. The ballroom itself will include security features, such as bulletproof glass and counter-drone technology.

The bill says the $1 billion cannot be used for nonsecurity elements of the ballroom project. However, that figure is more than double the projected $400 million cost of the East Wing renovation.

Mr. Trump has raised the bulk of the funding needed through private donations, and some Republicans may object to taxpayer funds being spent on the ballroom project.

The reconciliation package also includes $1.5 billion for the Department of Justice, giving it wide latitude to spend the money.

Revealed: Greens hopeful who is calling for the UK to pay slavery reparations is a descendant of slave traders

A Green Party candidate pushing Britain to pay trillions of pounds in slavery reparations is descended from a Nigerian royal family that traded slaves.

Antoinette Fernandez is the ‘reparations officer’ for the party’s Global Majority Greens group which campaigns for ‘racial and environmental justice’.

However, she is also the daughter of a billionaire oil baron who was one of Africa’s richest men.

The local election candidate has campaigned for British taxpayers to pay reparations for the transatlantic slave trade and said that politicians who oppose it ‘show an appalling arrogance’.

Ms Fernandez – who is standing for Zack Polanski’s party in London – is the daughter of the Queen Mother of Lagos and is given the title ‘princess’ in the Nigerian press.

Her mother is Abiola Dosunmu and her father is Antonio Deinde Fernandez, a late business magnate and UN ambassador who is said to have made his fortune in oil, gas and mining and had a reported net worth of $8.7billion (£6.5billion) when he died in 2015.

Through her mother, the Green politician is a descendant of the Obas (kings) of Lagos, some of whom historians describe as ‘major’ slave traders that made ‘lucrative commissions from slave deals’.

One of Ms Fernandez’s ancient relatives personally owned 1,400 slaves and another even brought back slaves that had been sent to Brazil to build houses in Lagos, according to one historian.

The campaigner’s family accrued wealth through the slave trade which they used to purchase ‘velvet clothes, royal umbrellas, hats and stylish robes’, the account adds.

On Monday the Conservatives and Reform UK rounded on Ms Fernandez, branding her the ‘ultimate hypocrite’ for demanding hard-up Britons shell out for reparations.

But the Green Party said that reporting Ms Fernandez’s lineage is ‘racist’ and a ‘bad-faith attempt to undermine the case for reparative justice’.

Britain abolished the slave trade in 1807 and then spent millions of pounds – billions in today’s money – and thousands of sailors’ lives putting an end to the practice worldwide.

REPORT: Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger Considering a New Tax on GYM MEMBERSHIPS

Shortly after winning the Virginia governor race by running on a campaign about affordability, it was widely reported that Virginia Democrats were gearing up to create a slew of new taxes for their constituents.

Now it is being reported that Spanberger is considering a new tax on gym memberships and possibly on streaming networks as well. Wehere does it end and how is any of this considered part of affordability?

More importantly, why is cutting the size of the state government not even a consideration?

Virginia’s new Democrat governor teases possible tax on GYM MEMBERSHIPS and streaming services

Virginia’s new governor has teased that she may sign a new tax on gym memberships and streaming services if the bills ever reach her desk.

Democrat Abigail Spanberger refused to give a straight answer when asked about the so-called liberal wish list of taxation opportunities that Democrats are attempting to pass in her state.

Spanberger, a former intelligence officer who became governor in January, has made clear she is looking for unorthodox ways to create new revenue streams in Virginia.

New bills were introduced in the Virginia state legislature that proposed expanding taxes to include storage facilities, counseling, dry cleaning, vehicle repair, website design, data storage and digital subscription storage.

A tax on retail sales of services was also floated as an idea under bill HB978 – which would include fitness memberships and athletic club services.

The controversial tax bills never got through the General Assembly before the session’s end on March 14, meaning that it never reached Spanberger’s desk – but that may change in the future.

It’s remarkable how quickly Spanberger and her Democrat cohorts moved to create new taxes.

Warren blames Spirit Airlines closure on Iran war after advocating against JetBlue-Spirit merger

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is receiving backlash from GOP lawmakers for pushing former President Biden’s Justice Department to block the merger of JetBlue and Spirit Airlines. 

“The 14,000 employees at Spirit who’ve lost their job loss, the travelers who will now pay higher fares, and the shareholders and debt holders who have been wiped out can thank Elizabeth Warren,” Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) wrote on X on Saturday. “Electing left politicians, who have ZERO business experience, has consequences.”

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz reposted a critical Warren post and wrote, “Stunning.” 

Warren defended her advocacy against the merger by blaming a federal judge for stopping it. 

“Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline,” Warren wrote in a post on X. FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal. Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.”

Biden’s Justice Department had detailed its involvement in blocking the merger back in 2024.

“Our win in court is a victory for U.S. travelers who deserve lower prices and better choices,” said Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Kanter of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division. “We fought this case to protect consumers who, as the court recognized, ‘otherwise would have no voice.’ I am incredibly proud of the Antitrust Division’s team and our state law enforcement partners’ tireless advocacy.”

Warren had pushed the Department of Transportation under Biden to work to block the merger, as detailed in a letter she wrote.

She also applauded the blockage of the merger.

Eric Swalwell Sent Women ‘Videos of Him Masturbating’ and Other Perverted Messages After Joining Snapchat to Restore ‘Faith’ in ‘Democracy’: Report

Former Democratic congressman Eric Swalwell was accused by multiple women of sending sexual messages, including “videos of him masturbating,” after becoming one of the first members of Congress to join Snapchat in an effort to restore “faith” in “democracy.”

In a bombshell report on Sunday – less than a month after Swalwell resigned from Congress after being accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women – CNN spoke to “more than a dozen” women who claimed the congressman had made them feel uncomfortable, both in person and online, over the past decade.

Several women told CNN that the congressman had sent them sexually explicit messages on Snapchat after he became “one of the first lawmakers to join Snapchat” and was heralded in the media as “the Snapchat king of Congress,” according to CNN.

“We can restore a lot of faith that people have in their democracy by opening it up a little bit more,” Swalwell told The Hill in 2016 after joining the messaging service. “Snapchat is a great way to do that.”

However, it allegedly wasn’t long before the congressman began to use his Snapchat account for purposes other than politics.

One young woman claimed Swalwell would send her Snapchat messages about her future, before asking inappropriate questions such as, “What are you wearing?”

Two other women told CNN that Swalwell sent them “sexually explicit messages and unsolicited nude photos and videos of himself” in 2021, while a third woman also claimed to have received “sexually tinged messages and videos.”

One former congressional staffer allegedly developed a consensual sexual relationship with Swalwell after he began flirting with her on Snapchat in 2021.

During the relationship, Swalwell reportedly sent “nude photos of himself and videos of him masturbating,” which showed the congressman’s “face and naked body.”

The videos, which were saved by the woman, were shown to CNN.

“His stories would be his, like, congressional content, but then he would be sending me dick pics,” she alleged, adding that Swalwell sent her another “explicit video” late last year, just weeks before he announced his 2026 California gubernatorial campaign.

Billionaire California Dem Gubernatorial Candidate Gets DRAGGED Online After Sharing Footage of Himself Posing in a VERY IRONIC T-Shirt With Marxist Protesters

A billionaire California Democrat gubernatorial candidate is getting blown up online after posing in a very ironic t-shirt with his fellow socialists.

On Saturday, Tom Steyer uploaded a video on his X page showing him at a “May Day” protest where he attempts to portray himself as a traitor to his class and a ‘champion’ of ordinary Californians. He even poses in a “Workers Over Billionaires” shirt.

Does he not realize that these people want to see folks like him eliminated?

“Today is May Day…Today is the day where we celebrate the working people of California, the people who make California run,” Steyer says in the video. “And their rights are being trampled on!”

A woman then asks if he’s planning on redistributing his wealth, to which Steyer replies, “Yes, I am!”

Steyer goes on to say that his campaign is about standing up for working Californians against “corporate special interests,” before cutting to him taking photo-ops with Marxist protesters while still wearing the stupid shirt.

Ohio Democrat Who Voted Against DHS Funding: Americans ‘Expect Their Leaders’ to Keep Them Safe

Rep. Greg Landsman (D-OH) said Americans expect leaders to take public safety seriously, in contrast to his votes of “Nay” on two House measures tied to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding during the longest shutdown of any U.S. federal agency in history.

In July 2025, Landsman said Americans “expect their leaders to be serious about keeping them safe” during a July interview with Rahm Emanuel on the New Democrat Coalition podcast, according to an exclusive clip shared with Breitbart News.

The comment comes after Landsman voted against two House Republican DHS funding bills earlier this year.

“If Greg Landsman was serious about keeping Ohioans safe, he wouldn’t purposely hold DHS funding hostage and force TSA workers to go weeks without pay. It’s hypocritical and reckless for Landsman to play politics with the hardworking men and women who work tirelessly to keep our country safe,” RNC Spokesman Hunter Lovell told Breitbart News.

The record 76-day Department of Homeland Security shutdown ended April 30, 2026, when Congress passed legislation funding key components including the Secret Service, TSA, FEMA, Coast Guard, and CISA, while leaving ICE and Border Patrol funding to a separate reconciliation effort. During the shutdown, a March 27 White House memorandum said more than 60,000 TSA employees — including roughly 50,000 officers — were not being paid, with nearly 500 leaving their jobs and airport security wait times stretching to three hours or more. 

As staffing shortages worsened, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were deployed to assist at airports with duties such as crowd control and ID checks, while a separate report found roughly 3,000 TSA agents failed to show up for work on a single day, further straining operations.

The issue has taken on new urgency after the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump and Republican officials at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday, April, 25. Trump said a Secret Service agent was shot in his bulletproof vest during the confrontation with the suspect, who was taken into custody.

The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, allegedly wrote a manifesto planning to target Trump administration officials, attended a No Kings protest, and donated $25 through ActBlue earmarked for Kamala Harris’s 2024 campaign. 

The department shutdown also coincided with multiple serious attacks inside the United States, including a deadly mass shooting in Austin and an attack at Temple Israel in Michigan. In Austin, a gunman opened fire on a crowd of mostly college students, killing three people and injuring 16 others, nine of whom were hospitalized. Authorities said the attacker was killed by police within minutes. The suspect wore clothing reading, “Property of Allah,” and investigators found Iran-related material at his residence.

In Michigan, a separate incident unfolded at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, where a vehicle was driven into the building and gunfire was exchanged with security. The attacker, who was identified as a Lebanese national who had become a U.S. citizen, died at the scene. No victims were reported among those inside the synagogue, though authorities initially responded to the situation as an active shooter event.
