The Covid spike protein produced by mRNA jabs can activate reservoirs of HIV in infected people, new research shows

The paper, called “SARS-CoV-2 S protein activates the HIV latent reservoir through the mTOR pathway,” was released on August 19 by eight Chinese researchers. It is a pre-print, meaning other scientists have not yet peer-reviewed it, and so far it has received little attention, with fewer than 1,000 views.

But the work appears rigorous. The scientists stimulated dormant groups of HIV-infected cells — called HIV reservoirs — with spike protein and found that they began to transcribe and replicate HIV and cause the release of HIV virions.

“This study, by constructing an HIV latent reservoir model expressing the S [spike] protein, has for the first time demonstrated that the SARS-CoV-2 S protein can significantly promote HIV proviral transcription and viral particle release,” the researchers wrote.

The Chinese finding is relevant to the mRNA Covid shots, because they cause people to make a version of the Covid spike protein, which the immune system then finds and attacks.

When they were introduced, the mRNA shots were supposed to degrade very quickly, but for reasons scientists do not fully understand, they appear to cause long-term production of spike protein in some people who receive them. Yale University researchers have found spike in people up to two years after they’d received the mRNAs.

Cartels are bad but they’re not ‘terrorists.’ This is mission creep.

There is a dangerous pattern on display by the Trump administration. The president and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth seem to hold the threat and use of military force as their go-to method of solving America’s problems and asserting state power.

The president’s reported authorization for the Pentagon to use U.S. military warfighting capacity to combat drug cartels — a domain that should remain within the realm of law enforcement — represents a significant escalation. This presents a concerning evolution and has serious implications for civil liberties — especially given the administration’s parallel moves with the deployment of troops to the southern border, the use of federal forces to quell protests in California, and the recent deployment of armed National Guard to the streets of our nation’s capital.

Last week, the Pentagon sent three guided-missile destroyers to interdict drug cartel operations off the coast of South America, giving the U.S. Navy unprecedented counternarcotics authority and foreshadowing a potential military stand-off against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who is wanted by the United States on charges of narco-terrorism. This development is echoed by President Trump reportedly seeking authorization to deploy U.S. military forces on the ground against drug cartels in Mexico.

These efforts are not new. Trump and the GOP have increasingly called for U.S. military interdiction against Mexican drug cartels under the banner of counterterrorism. During his first administration, Trump seriously considered launching strikes at drug labs in Mexico in an effort that was successfully shut down by then-Secretary of Defense Mark Esper.

But there are no such guardrails in the new Trump administration, and the rhetoric has progressively crept toward the use of U.S. special operations, specifically. During an interview on Fox News in November, incoming Border Czar Tom Homan announced that, “[President Trump] will use the full might of the United States special operations to take [the cartels] out.”

If that is indeed the direction the administration wants to go, it appears to be taking action to set plans into motion, starting with an executive order on day one that designated cartels as foreign terrorist organizations — thus opening a Pandora’s box of potential legal authority to use military force. On signing the order, President Trump acknowledged, “People have been wanting to do this for years.” And when asked if he would be ordering U.S. special forces into Mexico to “take out” the cartels, Trump replied enigmatically, “Could happen … stranger things have happened.”

The executive order upholds that drug cartels “operate both within and outside the United States … [and] present an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States.” It declares a national emergency under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The specificity of both “within and outside” the U.S. combined with the declaration of a national emergency is perhaps the first step toward the broader use of executive power to deploy military forces in counternarcotics operations not only within Mexico, but potentially the United States too.

To be sure, the Trump administration is already testing the limits of Posse Comitatus — the law that prevents presidents from using the military as a domestic police force — by invoking questionable authorities to use National Guard and active duty troops during the counter-ICE protests in California and, most recently, to declare a “crime emergency” in Washington, D.C. federalizing the police force and deploying troops to patrol the district’s streets. Reports this week suggest the administration is preparing to do the same in Chicago.

Indiana U. professor supports transparency unless it applies to people like him

A new Indiana law requiring public university professors to post their syllabi online “threatens academic freedom,” according to an Indiana University Bloomington professor who is involved in government transparency efforts.

The law, included in a budget passed in May, “almost certainly will have a chilling effect on professors,” according to Professor Gerry Lanosga.

Beginning this school year, professors must post their syllabi online for not just students to see, but the entire public, which includes the taxpayers who actually fund the operations of the university.

Yet for Professor Lanosga (pictured), this amounts to “surveillance,” according to comments he gave the student newspaper. He also joked “Maybe the impact on posting them to the public is that students may read it more.”

The media studies professor said he has nothing to hide, even though he opposes the law.

“It isn’t inherently bad — faculty don’t have anything to hide in their syllabi and people will comply with the law,” Lanosga said. “But what is the rationale? What are the motives? It hasn’t been made clear,” he told the Indiana Daily Student.

The rationale is that public university professors are supposed to serve, well, the public. They are paid by taxpayers to teach classes and conduct research. The secondary principle is that the work of public employees should be generally available to the public.

Lanosga should know this since he specifically lists “freedom of information” as an interest on his faculty bio, he won the “Investigative Reporters and Editors’ Freedom of Information Medal,” and serves on the board of the Indiana Coalition for Open Government.

Instructors have some flexibility to reveal certain information just to enrolled students, according to the student newspaper. A good law leaves some room for exceptions.

But in general, the work of public professors should be free and open to the taxpayers. There are other benefits as well – perhaps prospective high school students want to know what they will learn in a political science, chemistry, or economics class if they attend IU.

Graham Linehan Arrested by Armed Police Over X Posts as UK Free Speech Crisis Deepens

There are many ways to return to Britain after a long-haul flight. Maybe you get a cup of tea, a mildly annoyed customs agent, and a taxi driver who tells you London’s gone to hell. Or, if you’re Graham Linehan, you’re met at Heathrow by five armed officers who then take you into custody over things you wrote on the internet.

The man who created Father Ted and The IT Crowd, shows that helped define British humor, was arrested, detained, and taken to hospital, all because of three tweets.

He wrote later: “I was arrested at an airport like a terrorist, locked in a cell like a criminal, taken to hospital because the stress nearly killed me, and banned from speaking online.”

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Linehan was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence, related to posts he made on X. Armed officers from the Met’s Aviation Unit escorted Linehan off of a flight from Arizona and into custody.

The tweets in question included one joke suggesting that if a “trans-identified male” is found in a women-only space, people should “make a scene, call the cops and if all else fails, punch him in the balls.”

Michigan’s Dirty SOS Jocelyn Benson Gives Green Light To ONLINE VOTING With NO Legislative Approval

On September 22, 2024, we warned of a shocking plan by Democrats to steal the upcoming general election.

In the 2000 presidential election, a mere 629 votes separated the race between George W. Bush and Al Gore in Florida. When the absentee overseas votes finally arrived, George W. Bush was able to take the 537-vote lead from Al Gore and win the presidency.

On August 12, 2024, the DNC released a memo announcing that it would spend six figures to collect up to 9 million Democratic votes from overseas.

The DNC’s stated goal of winning the votes of approximately 9 million Americans through its Democrats Abroad website seems impossible, given that, according to a recent report by the federal government, only 4.4 million US citizens reside overseas, and only 2.8 million of those are of voting age.

Watch this stunning montage of Democrats working with their allies in the media to push for millions of NON-EXISTENT overseas “voters” to miraculously cast millions of votes in the 2024 election.

Despite the fact that military members only make up a small fraction of all UOCAVA voters, Democrats and the media continue to identify all UOCAVA voters as “military voters” as a way to gaslight the general public into believing that Republicans who want to secure the UOCAVA voting system are trying to disenfranchise military voters.

Obstruction, Obfuscation, And Obnoxiousness. (Welcome To The Democrat Way Of 2025)

The blame game. Obstruction. Lack of vision. Incompetency. Obscenity. Complaint. Embarrassment.

Welcome in to Democrat Politics in 2025.

The Democrat Party in 2025 places blame on all the supposed issues of our economy and society on everyone and everything except themselves, as they are without sin. Per them, it always the Republicans fault and of course all things President Trump. President Trump, much to the pleasure of the Democrat Party, has had to endure hundreds of lawsuits based on frivolous and inane interpretations of the law. That is just fine because it is all part of the Democrat Party blame and obstruction game. It is the game of interfering, regardless of the consequences to the citizen, the state, or the country. All of us, be damned.

The Democrat Party blame game currently can be seen in the stoic United States Senate with only 135 of the over 1,000 senior level appointments requiring Senate confirmation completed. “Democrats have forced multiple roll-call votes on more than 40 nominees for posts never subject to a single one. These confirmations used to take seconds. Now, each can take days. Today, 145 qualified nominees already approved by committees await full Senate approval. Nearly half these nominees earned bipartisan support in committee, and many have been waiting for months. Yet all are trapped in Senate procedural purgatory.”

Regardless of the welfare of the country, the Democrat Party blame game is helping to keep many important and critical government positions unfilled as they play their wicked political reprisal game due to their hatred of all things Donald Trump. The Democrat Party feels that this is good governing and how a government should run “efficiently” and for all the citizens they supposedly represent (or not). Because citizens do not matter as much as they do. (And shame on you if you think otherwise).

In addition, I am pleased to inform you that the Democrat Party blame game is alive and well in Connecticut where all sorts of rants, screams, protests, false crises, and incoherent gibberish are echoed daily. Of course, the Democrat calling card is invariably somehow tied to racism.

On or about August 15, Connecticut Democrat State Representative Corey Paris provided a clear warning on Instagram to illegal aliens in his district to help them avoid Federal authorities. Of course, some illegal aliens are violent criminals and could very well place Rep. Paris’ constituents at risk of great harm. But ostensibly, Rep. Paris did not care. In a shameful embarrassment to Connecticut, the popular site “Libs of Tik Tok” re-posted this news and the post was referred to the U.S. Justice Department with Rep. Paris’ picture.

Rather than Democrats reconnoitering, repenting, and re-doing because of this national humiliation and alleged violation of Federal law, a farcical multi-party Democrat press conference was called in front of state-run media where we viewed the spectacle of a middle aged Liberal white woman, Rep. Eleni Kavros DeGraw, come to the defense of Rep. Paris by claiming his notoriety was due to the fact that “he is a Black Man in this country.”

Israel In Turmoil – IDF Says Can’t Defeat Hamas Quickly, Reservists Not Showing Up, West Bank Annexation Proceeding

The war on all fronts in Israel is affecting military capability and readiness reports local press. In addition, policy towards current Palestinian areas is attracting global negative attention.

The Netanyahu administration believes Gaza must be completely conquered to move forward and ensure Israeli security, and is looking to transport the current population to 3rd party countries and rebuild the area. President Trump seems to be involved in this agenda, as he published a video to such.

Israel is debating annexing parts of the West Bank in response to planned recognition of Palestine by Western countries, reports Axios.

Israeli officials warned Europe that Israel may annex West Bank land, with Ron Dermer saying it could extend to all of Area C (60%).

European officials warned annexation could bring EU sanctions; Arab officials said it could harm peace deals and halt Saudi normalization. Trump previously blocked Netanyahu from annexations in 2020. His administration’s current position remains undecided.

In addition, Israeli defense chiefs told Netanyahu that Gaza City’s takeover won’t defeat Hamas and urged a limited hostage deal instead, reports Haaretz. They warned an invasion could drag on for a year, cost many lives, and worsen Israel’s global standing. Some Likud ministers even likened Gaza to becoming “Israel’s Vietnam.”

Israel is struggling to get enough reservists to report for duty as it prepares a new Gaza City invasion.  A commando master sergeant said after 400 days of fighting — “People are dying for nothing… Netanyahu is prolonging the war for his own political survival,” reported Clash Report.

First Friends: How the First Couple’s Consigliere Went From Modeling Mogul to Special Envoy

The Trump administration’s dramatic reversal with respect to the Jeffrey Epstein case continues to confuse and enthrall, with President Trump still doubling down that the entire “Epstein thing” is a “Democrat hoax.” While Democrats certainly have sought to take advantage of situation for partisan ends, the reversal in rhetoric –– particularly after transparency in the Epstein case was made an important part of Trump’s 2024 campaign –– has seemingly defied explanation. Indeed, the timing of the reversal, which occurred after a protracted delay and then final reneging on releasing files about the case, has been hard for many to swallow.

Amid the fall-out from the administration’s about-face, the Trump administration has sought to mitigate the failure to “release the files” by publishing interviews with Ghislaine Maxwell (who has been desperately seeking a pardon or commuted sentence) and by issuing subpoenas to Bill and Hillary Clinton, a clear effort to divert “transparency” in the case into something more politically favorable to Republicans.

However, as posited in Unlimited Hangout’s series “First Friends,” Trump’s effort to alter the narrative around the Epstein case may be aimed at shielding, not only potentially himself, but people in his close social circle, including at least one figure currently serving in his administration. That figure, Paolo Zampolli –– the administration’s current Special Envoy for Global Partnerships –– is the subject of this investigation.

In Part I of this series, we met one of Trump’s closest friends from Italy: Flavio Briatore, a P2 lodge and Italian mafia-linked businessman with ties to prominent Victoria’s Secret Angels, at least one of whom he introduced to Epstein. In this second installment, the connections of Zampolli, another Italian close to both Trump and Briatore, are the focus. Zampolli has been in the news recently, not for the backdoor wheeling-and-dealing of his new, official U.S. government post, but because Trump and his wife Melania claim to have been first introduced by Zampolli amid assertions to the contrary that claim it had been Epstein.

As this investigation will show, Zampolli is deeply corrupt. From his beginnings as a protégé for the controversial modeling mogul John Casablancas, a man known for his appetite for what he called “child women,” Zampolli grew his modeling empire with money from Silvio Berlusconi, the corrupt Italian Prime Minister (and close friend of Flavio Briatore) who was forced to resign for his sexual escapades with minors while in office. Zampolli would later follow Casablanca’s example and marry his wife when she was 19, having met her not long after she had flown as an under-age teen on Epstein’s “Lolita Express.”

After leaving the world of modeling to work for Donald Trump in the early 2000s, Zampolli would become closely affiliated with the Clintons as well as the United Nations, where he worked on their climate change initiatives and on the development of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs. In particular, Zampolli was part of the team that developed SDG 14 “Life Under Water” alongside Stuart Beck, a figure closely tied to CIA regime change operations in Palau, as well as none other than Ghislaine Maxwell and her TerraMar project.

Yet, that is not all Zampolli would accomplish at the UN, as he would figure prominently in a major UN financing scandal and also boasted close ties to suspect citizenship-by-investment schemes that would later see one of his close colleagues arrested and another dead under exceedingly bizarre circumstances. Those colleagues had been taking bribes from an organized crime and CCP-linked Chinese billionaire who was once at the center of the scandal that directly intersects with most of Jeffrey Epstein’s seventeen visits to the Clinton White House.

Why ‘Eating The Rich’ Undermines Everyone’s Prosperity

A recent report from The Heritage Foundation argues that “the wealthy” are not “idle idols” but are instead owners and investors of wealth-creating ventures.

Through their ownership of productive assets, they are the driving force behind overall wealth creation in the country and, in some cases, the world.  The report reveals a crucial truth that is often lost in today’s political rhetoric: the overwhelming majority of American wealth among the most wealthy (88.2 percent) consists of assets linked directly to businesses and economic production. Despite the commonly accepted belief that millionaires hold their money in real estate or “yachts, sports cars, private planes, gold bars, and jewelry,” most of that wealth is investment, not consumption goods.

Building on this important truth, we emphasize two additional insights that may inform our current policy debates, particularly as the Trump administration seeks to expand government ownership stakes in private companies.

First, we must acknowledge that capitalism, for all its flaws in practice, is fundamentally a system that rewards serving others, not exploiting them.

Look at Henry Ford: he benefited tremendously from figuring out how to mass produce cars such that the common man was able to afford a vehicle. But I submit to you that, while he became fabulously wealthy from his innovations, the real winners of this exchange were people like you and me. Everyday Americans received better access to transportation, fundamentally transforming our lives. People like Ford already had access to this then-privilege, so while he may command more wealth as a result of his efforts, the efforts themselves improved our lives much more than his.

The people who create medical treatments and vaccines against disease also often become wealthy. But when people all around the world are freed from contracting diseases, enjoying a fundamentally better and happier life, the wealth gained by their inventors seems small.

Or think of tech moguls like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Tim Cook. By bringing computing power to the masses, they fundamentally transformed the way we all live our everyday lives.

“I Want The Answer”: Trump Demands Pfizer Prove mRNA Jabs Work

Late last month a CDC advisory committee launched a review into the “safety, effectiveness, and immunogenicity” of COVID-19 vaccines, as well as whether mRNA remains in the body longer than advertised.

As part of the review, they will look at gaps in existing knowledge “relating to bio distribution, pharmacokinetics, and persistence of the spike protein, mRNA, and lipid nanoparticles to inform immunization recommendations,” the document states. In other words – they’ll be looking at whether the vaccine has ever worked, as well as harms it may cause. As ZeroHedge readers know, studies have found that the spike protein and mRNA in the vaccines persist for some time.

Days after the committee was announced, the Department of Health & Human Services announced that Susan Monarez, who championed mRNA shots for COVID-19, is “no longer director of the CDC” – after she “clashed with the secretary (Kennedy) over vaccine policy,” which ultimately led to her firing.

Meanwhile at least four other CDC officials resigned on Wednesday in a massive leadership shakeup at the agency: Dr. Debra Houry, the CDC’s chief medical officer; Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases; Dr. Daniel Jernigan, the director of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases; and Dr. Jennifer Layden, director of the Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance and Technology.

As the leadership crisis at the CDC unfolds, President Trump issued a somewhat cryptic ‘truth’ – challenging Pfizer and other vaccine makers to make public the same ‘GREAT’ claims his administration was shown in order to justify operation Warp Speed.

“It is very important that the Drug Companies justify the success of their various Covid Drugs. Many people think they are a miracle that saved Millions of lives. Others disagree!” Trump wrote.

“I have been shown information from Pfizer, and others, that is extraordinary, but they never seem to show those results to the public. Why not???” the ‘truth’ continues. “With CDC being ripped apart over this question, I want the answer, and I want it NOW.”
