‘Gender Identity’ Requirements Will Be Discarded In Housing Programs: HUD

Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner announced a new proposed rule on Thursday that seeks to end the use of “gender identity” across all departmental programs, which is intended to “restore biological reality and protect women.”

“Under the proposed guidance, HUD would remove radical definitions of gender identity, sexual orientation, and gender, replacing them with sex across nearly 50 regulations,” HUD said in an April 23 statement.

The department’s Equal Access Rule will be modified to replace the ban on discrimination on the basis of “gender identity” across all Community Planning and Development programs.

HUD intends to define common terms such as mother, father, woman, man, girl, and boy, in a way that is consistent with a person’s sex across the department’s regulations.

“God created two sexes: male and female. The Left’s war on biological reality through radical gender ideology will no longer take precedence over the safety and security of America’s most vulnerable women,” Turner said.

The 2012 Equal Access Rule, titled Equal Access to Housing in HUD Programs Regardless of Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity, sought to ensure that HUD’s housing programs would be made available to all individuals and families regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, or marital status.

At the time, the rule did not address how transgender identifying and “gender non-conforming” individuals should be accommodated in certain temporary and emergency shelters, and other facilities used for this purpose. In 2016, another final rule was issued on this regulation addressing the matter.

The recent proposal builds on an order issued by the HUD Secretary in February last year that required a stoppage of any pending or future enforcement of the Equal Access Rule.

In a Feb. 13, 2025, statement, Turner said that the department’s actions were in line with an executive order signed by President Donald Trump on his first day in office.

Jimmy Kimmel Fantasized About Trump’s Death on ABC Days Before Third Assassination Attempt

Jimmy Kimmel, host of the Disney-owned ABC late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, put on a mock White House Correspondents’ Dinner roast during Thursday night’s broadcast in which he fanaticized about President Donald Trump’s death in a joke aimed at First Lady Melania Trump.

Firing off one-liners about President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Stephen Miller, among other White House officials, Kimmel set his sights on the First Lady.

“And of course, our first lady, Melania, is here. Look at So beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow,” Kimmel said to the delight of the studio audience.

Kimmel’s ten-minute monologue meant to, as Kimmel said, give him the opportunity to “do some of the jokes a comedian might do if our president wasn’t a trembling drama queen who’s scared of comedy,” aired just days before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday, which saw 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen of Torrance, California, reportedly charge through a metal detector and shoot a Secret Service agent in the chest before being tackled to the ground and taken into custody.

The event was safely evacuated after shots were fired in the lobby as a man attempted to breach the Secret Service protection.

The suspect has since been identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen, a school teacher from Torrance, California.

A Secret Service Agent was shot and injured during the incident.

However, the miserable leftists over on Bluesky are absolutely convinced that the event was a “staged theatrical event.”

Among their wild theories was the idea that the attack would somehow increase Republican success in the midterms and distract from Trump’s alleged dealings with Jeffrey Epstein.

ICE Nabs Illegal Alien Pedophile In Virginia; Sanctuary Officials Ignored Detainer

ICE has arrested an illegal alien child sex predator in Abigail Spanberger’s Virginia. Authorities there tried to protect him by declining an ICE detainer last year and releasing him back into the community.

Of course they did.

The suspect, Roni Mendez-Escobar, a Guatemalan national, faced charges including multiple felony counts of possession of obscene material and child pornography with intent to distribute.

Fairfax County’s refusal to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement allowed him to remain free despite the detainer – exactly the outcome sanctuary policies are designed to produce.

This isn’t an isolated failure. It’s the predictable result of Virginia Democrats turning the state into a magnet for criminal illegal aliens while American families bear the cost. Spanberger ran as a “moderate,” yet her administration’s moves to limit cooperation with ICE have repeatedly put Virginia children and residents at risk.

Just weeks ago, ICE urged Spanberger not to release another criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, Misael Lopez Gomez, who allegedly bludgeoned his own three-month-old daughter to death with blunt force trauma in Fairfax.

Insanity: Harvard Students Call Grading Reform Racist

In the latest Harvard left wing insanity Campus Reform is reporting “Harvard University students have launched a petition opposing a proposed grading reform, arguing the policy could have racially disparate impacts.”

This immature petition urges Harvard to reject this policy that would limit the amount of top grades given.

Harvard has been at the center of liberal protests and chaos.

Organizers of the petition “claim the policy would “mirror and reinforce existing racial and socioeconomic hierarchies,” according to the petition’s description.”

The policy was originally introduced by Harvard in order to “address grade inflation.”

“Professors would limit “flat A” grades to about 20 percent of students in a class, though there would be no cap on A-minus grades.”

Nothing about this is racist except to people who see the whole world through race.

“The plan follows internal data showing that more than 60 percent of grades awarded in 2025 were A’s, compared to roughly one-third in 2010.”

Student organizers sent an absurd letter “described the proposal as “blatantly racist” and warned it could increase competition among students.”

Proponents of grading reform at Harvard argue the changes would restore high academic standards and that grading should reflect academic performance not race or demographics.

Wokeness is unAmerican and has been rejected by the American public. Apparently Harvard is still grappling with this.

DEI has been rejected and is on its way out.

Harvard has apparently not received the memo!

Ruthless Taxation And The Hyperstate: How Germany Profits From Crisis

The Hormuz crisis offers us a profound insight into the real power structures in Germany. Nothing seems able to convince the Berlin monolith to partially shield its citizens from the consequences at gas stations through tax cuts.

It is now unavoidable that the Iran shock will translate into an inflation driver, working its way through economic value chains into consumer prices. These developments almost force a reduction of the tax burden on households and the middle class. It may sound strange to climate socialists, but wealth is created exclusively in the private sector, and certainly not in the state bureaucracy, which is currently profiting from the price surge at gas stations at the expense of citizens and enjoying a small special economic boost.

In March alone, the Finance Minister collected roughly half a billion euros more at gas stations. That makes him the winner of the crisis.

To dispel the impression of a secret profiteer, Klingbeil points to the generally precarious budget situation. In fact, his hands are essentially tied: the Merz-Klingbeil duo is driving the country’s public debt through the roof. Klingbeil is the skywalker among European debt makers. He has begun a catch-up race to place Germany in the top tier of debt states alongside neighboring France, Italy, and Spain. The German public debt ratio currently stands at 63 percent, but the debt spiral is accelerating. This figure will rise dramatically in the coming years.

Anybody should now be clear: The debt party of a state that burns its citizens’ capital in reckless fashion, whether in Ukraine or through the redistribution mechanism of the green transformation, must end. The state is an overfed glutton, extracting ever-higher tax revenues while sinking deeper into the debt spiral.

Yet the burden does not rest solely on debt. The state’s hyperactivity drains scarce resources from the private capital market, raises credit costs, and drives genuinely productive investments abroad. The damage has accumulated for years and is being made worse by the energy cost crisis.

One can only imagine the relief that the private sector needs to restart the prosperity engine and compensate for the ever-growing damage caused by the state bureaucracy. Germany’s plight urgently calls for reforms and an end to the failed eco-socialist transformation project.

In Germany, however, things are a little different. Economic rationality does not dominate. In the land of climate doomsayers and would-be world improvers, as former Economics Minister Robert Habeck once said, „all in“ — and all levers were set towards eco-socialism.

In fact: over 50 billion euros are pumped annually by the German state through the Climate and Transformation Fund (KTF) into the green wonder economy, which during the Hormuz crisis proved not to solve problems but rather to be their obvious cause.

Crypto fund manager probed in the suspicious death of his fiancée in Zanzibar

According to an NBC News report, Zanzibar police investigating the death of Robinson confirmed she died by suicide following a “misunderstanding” between the couple.

Police confirmed the couple had been involved in a heated dispute before being separated twice by hotel staff and sent to separate rooms. However, police said Robinson’s death is still being investigated and have therefore withheld McCann’s passport, according to the news outlet.

Police have questioned McCann and have asked him to remain in the country while they receive the forensic results from Ashly’s autopsy.

The hotel said it was “deeply saddened” by what happened. “Our sincerest thoughts and sympathies go out to the family and loved ones during this painful time. We are providing our full cooperation to the local authorities and the U.S. Embassy,” the hotel said in a statement.

Robinson’s family, who said they doubt she died by suicide, have set up a GoFundMe page seeking to raise $50,000 to help with travel costs, arrangements and other unexpected expenses, they said. They have raised more than their target.

McCann, with an estimated net worth of $45 million, is a prominent figure in institutional crypto, leading Asymmetric, a hedge fund and venture firm backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz co-founders Marc Andreessen and Chris Dixon.

However, in December, he announced he would shut down Asymmetric’s Liquid Alpha Fund following claims of massive financial losses throughout 2025. McCann’s decision to wind down the fund followed unconfirmed social media chatter that the liquid fund was down 78% this year.

Robinson and her fiancé, McCann, traveled to Zanzibar on April 4, according to a translated video statement from Tanzanian police.

CoinDesk called Zanzibar police several times, but the staff answering the phones immediately hung up, refusing to answer any questions. The Tanzania Police Force has also not responded to an email request for information.

The U.S. State Department said it had no further comment, only offering its condolences to the Robinson family.

“The Trump Administration has no higher priority than the safety and security of Americans,” a State Department spokesperson said.

“Due to privacy and other considerations, we have no further comment. For additional questions about any investigation, we refer you to local authorities. We offer our sincerest condolences to the family of Ms. Robinson and her loved ones on their loss.”

EFF Sues DHS and ICE For Records on Subpoenas Seeking to Unmask Online Critics

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) today demanding public records about their use of administrative subpoenas to try to identify their online critics.

Court records and news reports show that in the past year, DHS has used administrative subpoenas to unmask or locate people who have documented ICE’s activities in their community, criticized the government, or attended protests. The subpoenas are sent to technology companies to demand information about internet users who are often engaged in protected First Amendment activity.

These subpoenas are dangerous because they don’t require judges’ approval. But they are also unlawful, and the government knows it. When a few users challenged them in court with the help of American Civil Liberties Union affiliates in Northern California and Pennsylvania, DHS withdrew them rather than waiting for a decision.

DHS and ICE have ignored EFF’s public-records requests for documents about the processes behind these subpoenas, so EFF sued Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

“DHS and ICE should not be able to first claim that they have the legal authority to unmask critics and then run from court when users challenge these administrative subpoenas,” said EFF Deputy Legal Director Aaron Mackey. “The public deserves to know what laws the agencies believe give them the power to issue these speech-chilling subpoenas.”

An administrative subpoena cannot be used to obtain the content of communications, but they have been used to try and obtain some basic subscriber information like name, address, IP address, length of service, and session times. If a technology company refuses to comply, an agency’s only recourse is to drop it or go to court and try to convince a judge that the request is lawful.

EFF and the ACLU of Northern California in February ​wrote to Amazon, Apple, Discord, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Reddit, SNAP, TikTok, and X​ to ask that they insist on court intervention and an order before complying with a DHS subpoena; give users as much notice as possible when they are the target of a subpoena, so the users can seek help; and resist gag orders that would prevent the companies from notifying users who are targets of subpoenas.

And EFF last week ​asked California’s and New York’s attorneys general to investigate Google​ for deceptive trade practices for breaking ​its promise​ to notify users before handing their data to law enforcement, citing the case of a doctoral student who was targeted with an ICE subpoena after briefly attending a pro-Palestine protest.

Finally! Nebraska Commits to End In-State Tuition For Illegal Aliens

In a dose of good news for the American people, The College Fix is reporting “Nebraska public universities will no longer discriminate against out-of-state American students in favor of illegal immigrants under a consent decree with the Department of Justice.”

Nebraska reached an agreement with the DOJ to stop treating Illegal Aliens better than out-of-state Americans, no longer affording them this special privilege.

This is a long time coming and should have been common sense, yet previously, illegals were treated better than Iowans or North Dakotans.

Till now, “Nebraskans can qualify for in-state tuition, even if they are here illegally, if they can prove they have lived in the state for 180 days and intend to stay there, the federal complaint states. There are other ways to prove residency, such as marrying an American citizen who lives in Nebraska.” This has finally changed.

This policy was not only unfair but also violates federal law. Fortunately, the law of the land is now being enforced.

Both President Trump’s DOJ and the Republican Governor put out statements.

Gov. Pillen stated:

Nebraskans expect that illegal aliens won’t get the benefit of in-state tuition and financial aid, and federal law forbids it. Outdated Nebraska laws to the contrary are deeply misguided and unconstitutional, and I am grateful for the combined efforts of President Trump’s Department of Justice and Attorney General Hilgers to deliver this long-overdue correction. This is the latest example of the tremendous partnership between the State of Nebraska and the Trump Administration.

The deal “demonstrates the quality of partnership between Nebraska state leaders and the Department of Justice for the shared purpose of ensuring that federal tax dollars are not used to discriminate against Nebraska’s lawful citizens,” Nebraska U.S. Attorney Lesley Woods stated.

This is part of the enforcement of the “Illegal Immigration Reform and Responsibility Act of 1996.”

Texas has reached a similar deal with the DOJ.
