Woman, 97, was found dead on the floor of her home after being told she would have to wait ten days for an ambulance for a suspected hip break, coroner hears

A 97-year-old woman died after being told she would need to wait ten days for an ambulance over a suspected hip fracture.

Babette Burge was found on the floor of her home in Newport, Isle of Wight, by a carer on October 19, 2025.

Just five days earlier, a paramedic from a local GP surgery had attended Ms Burge’s home to assess her condition and found that her leg was ‘shortened and rotated’ – a sign of a fractured hip.

The pensioner was told she would need to wait 10 days for an ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, but suffered a fall before the transfer could take place.

She was found on the floor of her home struggling to breathe by her carer and died shortly before 1pm that day.

An inquest at Isle of Wight Coroner’s Court has now given pneumonia as Ms Burge’s cause of death, with immobility and a left femoral fracture recorded as contributing factors.

It was also revealed that mottling was found on her skin – a sign of reduced blood flow often caused by cold temperatures or poor circulation.

Coroner Caroline Sumeray offered her condolences to Mrs Burge’s family and set a provisional date of August 12 for a full inquest.

The delay in ambulance transfer and the care provided following the pensioner’s fall will be examined.

Fixated On Epstein Files Week Before Shooting

The armed man shot and killed by Secret Service agents outside President Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago property Sunday had grown increasingly obsessed with the Epstein files and was also a vocal supporter of Trump … TMZ has learned.

Austin Tucker Martin sent a text message, obtained by TMZ, to a co-worker on February 15, 2026, that read, “I don’t know if you read up on the Epstein Files, but evil is real and unmistakable.” He continued, “The best people like you and I can do is use what little influence we have. Tell other people about what you hear about the Epstein files and what the government is doing about it. Raise awareness.”

Sources who worked with Austin at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in North Carolina tell TMZ … he became fixated on Epstein following the latest release of information tied to the files. Co-workers tell us he was deeply disturbed by what he believed was a government cover-up and often talked about powerful people “getting away with it.”

Here’s All The Key Figures Who Have Resigned Over The Epstein Files…So Far

We are starting to finally see the beginning of a series of high-profile resignations following the Justice Department’s latest release of millions of pages tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The documents—emails, financial records, and photographs—name figures from politics, finance, diplomacy, academia, and the arts. Although inclusion in the files is not evidence of wrongdoing, the renewed scrutiny has prompted several prominent leaders to step down, as was documented by Time yesterday

As we’ve covered individually, those who have resigned include Thomas Pritzker, Kathy Ruemmler, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Brad Karp, Mona Juul, Peter Mandelson, Miroslav Lajcak, Jack Lang, and David A. Ross. In many instances, the records describe years of contact with Epstein, sometimes extending beyond his 2008 guilty plea for soliciting prostitution from a minor, intensifying public and political pressure.

Thomas Pritzker resigned as executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels after emails showed he remained in contact with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell beyond Epstein’s conviction.

Some messages referenced plans to meet, including for dinners. Pritzker said he exercised “terrible judgment” in maintaining the relationships and expressed deep regret, while authorities have not accused him of misconduct.

Kathy Ruemmler stepped down as chief legal officer of Goldman Sachs after emails suggested a friendly relationship with Epstein years after his plea deal, including correspondence referencing gifts.

Ruemmler, who previously served as White House counsel under President Barack Obama, has said she never represented Epstein and was unaware of his crimes. She later described him as a “monster” and said she regretted ever knowing him.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem resigned as chairman and CEO of DP World after correspondence indicated a lengthy friendship with Epstein that continued for years.

Some emails released by the Justice Department included personal exchanges that drew scrutiny. Authorities have not accused him of wrongdoing, and the company did not cite Epstein in announcing his departure.

NYC Socialist Mayor Eyes Activist Who Called CPS ‘Genocide for Black People’ to Lead Child Welfare Agency

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is considering Angela Burton, a 65-year-old activist known for her criticism of Child Protective Services (CPS), to lead the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS).

Burton has described CPS as a form of “slow extractive genocide for black people in America” in a 2023 X post and likened it to “child slavery” in another post from July 2023.

“Leave Black people alone. Your numbers and methods are treasure. Racist garbage in, racist garbage out. We don’t need CPS. CPS is Slow extractive Genocide for Black people in America. We know what you’re up to,” Burton wrote.

Currently, Burton serves on Children’s Rights’ New York Mandated Reporting Working Group, which seeks to narrow mandated reporting laws to reduce what it calls over-surveillance and family separations, particularly affecting Black, Latino, and low-income families.

Burton has also posted on X calling CPS a “grave and imminent threat” to children and families, accusing CPS employees of racism, and advocating for defunding police and the abolition of the “foster care industrial complex.”

Beloved New York Teacher Placed on Leave for Helping Students Launch TPUSA Chapter

A beloved Spanish teacher in upstate New York has been placed on a paid leave of absence by school officials after helping students launch a Turning Point USA chapter.

Jennifer Fasulo is an educator at Charles W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, a suburb of Syracuse.

A student-led petition demanding her reinstatement has garnered over 2,100 signatures as of February 20, declaring, “We believe no educator should be punished for their personal beliefs.”

The petition states:

Mrs. Fasulo is a Spanish teacher at Charles W. Baker High School located in Baldwinsville New York. She is currently facing discrimination for her spiritual and political beliefs. She has been put on administrative leave and is pending termination. We believe no educator should be punished for their personal beliefs. Please sign this petition to show support and help us get Mrs. Fasulo back where she rightfully belongs. #FreeFasulo

One student praised her as a mentor whose “wisdom and compassion… is unmatched,” while Club America President Jerry Dygert blasted the decision at a February 9 school board meeting, saying, “This teacher is being targeted not because of her performance, but for her political beliefs… Our club exists to promote political understanding through civil discourse, removing the one teacher who best embodies those values puts that mission in serious jeopardy.”

Amb. Huckabee Claims Israel Has ‘Biblical Right’ To Conquer Whole Middle East

In a jaw-dropping exchange with Tucker Carlson, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee openly framed Israel’s territorial claims in biblical terms – suggesting the Jewish state has a divine mandate over virtually the entire region.

Asked whether a passage from the Book of Genesis could be read as granting Israel the right to claim all the land between Egypt’s Nile River and Syria’s Euphrates, Huckabee didn’t hedge. He bluntly and without apology said it would be “fine” if Israel and its military took over the whole Middle East.

“It would be fine if they took it all,” Huckabee, a former Southern Baptist Minister and previously the governor of Arkansas made clear. This led to a wide ranging conversation and back and forth over whether the modern nation-state of Israel, officially founded as a sovereign government on May 14, 1948, is synonymous with the Israel written about in the Old Testament, stretching back thousands of years.

Here’s how that contentious segment of the interview unfolded, according to a transcript and commentary

Huckabee was asked in an interview with US conservative commentator Tucker Carlson about his understanding of a biblical verse suggesting that land including parts of Egypt, Syria and Iraq had been divinely promised to the Jewish people.

Carlson said that according to the Old Testament, the boundaries would be “basically the entire Middle East.”

He continued: “Does Israel have the right to that land?”

“Not sure we’d go that far,” Huckabee said in reply. “It would be a big piece of land.”

Carlson then pressed him: “Does Israel have the right to that land?”

“It would be fine if they took it all,” Huckabee responded, before adding, “I don’t think that’s what we’re talking about here today.”

Carlson asked: “You think it would be fine if the state of Israel took over all of Jordan?”

That’s when Amb. Huckabee must have realized he was entering some hot diplomatic water, which would be sure to outrage Washington’s Arab allies in the region.

“They’re not trying to take over Jordan. They’re not trying to take over Syria. They’re not trying to take over Iraq or anywhere else, but they do want to protect their people,” Huckabee responded. We should note here that the Israeli army has indeed invaded southern Syria and is occupying swathes of territory which lie a mere dozen or so miles from Damascus.

Nearly Half of Jury Pool Dismissed in Elon Musk Trial After Prospective Jurors Openly Admit They ‘Hate’ Him

Nearly half of the potential jurors in a class-action lawsuit against Elon Musk were dismissed during selection after admitting they could not remain impartial, with many outright saying that they “hate” him.

The case, playing out in a liberal stronghold, really displays the biases against conservatives within the judicial system.

Jury selection for the trial began this week in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, presided over by Judge Charles R. Breyer.

Mediaite reports:

Breyer, a Clinton appointee and younger brother of former Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, began jury selection by commenting to the lawyers for both sides that Musk had achieved a level of fame that was “like the President of the United States,” and even if they “search the entire country,” it would probably be nearly impossible to find someone who did not have some sort of opinion about Musk.

“As a public figure he will excite strong views, and for him in particular, people have strong views,” Breyer added. “The question is, and courts are very clear about this, is whether they can set them aside.”

Finding nine jurors who could put their opinions about Musk aside to be properly fair and impartial took over five hours.

“As a public figure he will excite strong views, and for him in particular, people have strong views,” Breyer said. “The question is, and courts are very clear about this, is whether they can set them aside.”

Out of a pool of 93 prospective jurors, 40 were immediately excused after raising their hands to indicate they could not set aside their personal biases against Musk.

Juror questionnaires also revealed deep-seated animosity.

We Knew It Was This All Along…

CNN commentator Scott Jennings exposed the extreme open-borders stance of Democrats by cornering Tennessee congressional candidate Justin Pearson, who squirmed and evaded simple questions about deporting violent criminal illegals – revealing the party’s reluctance to protect American citizens from threats unleashed by Biden’s lax policies.

This on-air dismantling highlights how leftists prioritize “undocumented” migrants over victims of their crimes.

Jennings pressed Pearson during the heated exchange on CNN’s NewsNight, asking “Is there a single illegal alien you’d deport?!”

Pearson hesitated and then stuttered “You know…”

Jennings pressed: “Is there ONE? NO? Is this the 2026 Democrat position?!”

“Do they need to deport illegal aliens?” Jennings continued, adding “Can you say it? CAN YOU SAY IT?”

“Do we need an agency to deport illegal aliens. YES OR NO?” Jennings further queried.

ELUSIVE MOON: Artemis II Lular Mission Delayed Again – SLS Rocket and Orion Capsule May Have To Be Rolled Back to Vehicle Assembly Building

How difficult it is to go back to the Moon…

The Artemis II Lunar mission suffered another setback, as it is expected to miss the March launch window.

Reuters reported:

“NASA is taking steps to potentially roll back the Artemis II rocket and Orion spacecraft to its Vehicle Assembly Building after observing an interrupted flow of helium, the space agency said on Saturday. ‘This will almost assuredly impact the March launch window’, NASA said.”

Sky News reported:

“On Friday night, however, NASA discovered that the flow of helium – which is required for launch – to the rocket had been interrupted during a key part of the preparation process.

[…] Before the setback, the agency had announced that it was targeting 6 March to launch four astronauts around the moon and back.”

Heartbreaking: Family of 12-Year-Old Kylie Smith, Killed by Transgender Tumbler Ridge Mass Shooter, Forced to Cancel Funeral Amid Death Threats

The family of 12-year-old Kylie Smith, brutally murdered in the Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia mass shooting by a transgender lunatic on February 10, has been forced to cancel her funeral due to credible death threats.

The threats appear to stem from the transgender community and its supporters.

The shooting left eight dead and 25 injured.

The shooter, 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, a biological male living as a “woman,” died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Smith was a vibrant young girl who loved art, anime, and figure skating, with aspirations to attend art school in Toronto. She was one of six victims killed at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, alongside fellow 12-year-olds Abel Mwansa, Zoey Benoit, and her close friend Ticaria Lampert, 13-year-old Ezekiel Schofield, and 39-year-old teacher Shannda Aviugana-Durand.

The rampage began when Rootselaar killed his own mother and half-brother at home before targeting the school.

Police had visited Van Rootselaar’s home multiple times prior due to mental health issues, and reports reveal the shooter discussed violent scenarios with AI chatbots like ChatGPT.

The death threats against Kylie’s family, and her parents, Lance Younge and Jenny Geary, have surfaced both online and locally, leading the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to investigate.

“The RCMP is aware of threats that have circulated online and within the community and we can confirm that an investigation is under way. A safety plan is in place for the individual(s) and community as the investigation continues,” the RCMP said in a statement.

In a heart-wrenching statement shared via the Tumbler Ridge Chamber of Commerce, Kylie’s father said:

“We are SO SORRY we had to cancel Kylie’s service today. We saw how hard everyone was working on it… From what we are hearing, we are at least the third family of the deceased to be harassed or threatened by people from their past since this awful tragedy took place.”
