Trump Applies Heavy Pressure on Denmark for the Ownership of Greenland, Leaving Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Her Government in Full ‘Crisis Mode’

NATO member Denmark spent the last four years single-mindedly worried about the Russian danger, but was surprised by the territorial ambitions by the fest-moving US President Donald J. Trump.

After a telephone call between Trump and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, it has now been reported that the Danish Kingdom is in ‘crisis mode’ after Trump made a direct play for Greenland in a conversation being branded as ‘horrendous’.

The Telegraph reported:

“The US president spoke to Mette Frederiksen, the Danish premier, for 45 minutes last week and made clear he wanted to place Greenland under American control.”

Greenland is an autonomous Arctic territory owned by Denmark since 1814. But now, Trump wants it as a ‘valuable asset’ in the US’s competition against Russia and China.

“Ms. Frederiksen told him in their call last week that despite his ‘big interest’, Greenland was not for sale, the Financial Times reported. Mr. Trump then became ‘aggressive’, according to the newspaper, and threatened to impose tariffs on Denmark unless Greenland was sold to the US.”

Trump refused to rule out using military force to take Greenland, calling it a matter of ‘national security’ to own that Arctic base.

Russian President Vladimir Putin: “2020 Election Victory Stolen” From President Trump – Acknowledges Ukraine War Never Would Have Happened Under Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin has broken his silence on the 2020 Presidential Election between President Trump and Joe Biden.  In a recent interview, Putin stated the President Trump had his victory “stolen” from him and that “perhaps the crisis in Ukraine that arose in 2022 wouldn’t have happened” if he had been re-elected.

The Russian leader also called out the previous “United States administration,” presumably Joe Biden, for refusing to “communicate” with Russia, stating that he had “business-like and pragmatic” relationship with the Trump administration before.

In a clip from an interview, Putin stated:

“I’d like to say that Russia never refused to come into contact with the United States administration and it is through no fault of ours that the previous administration refused to communicate.  I always had business-like relations with the previous US President, that were very business-like and pragmatic.  But there was trust as well.

If he had been the President, if the victory wasn’t stolen from him in 2020, maybe the Ukrainian crisis that arose in 2022 would have [appeared]”

Trump Freezes NIH Approvals for Research Grants

Every year, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) issues over $31 billion in scientific research grants to Universities, private research organizations, (such as EcoHealth Alliance), and scientists and physicians with minimal oversight. This lack of oversight is the excuse that Dr. Tony Fauci and other NIH employees can use when being ‘unaware’ that EcoHealth Alliance was funding gain-of-function research in collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

It appears that Trump is shutting down the minimal oversight of the $31 billion NIH grant approval machine. According to STAT News“Trump administration’s abruptly cancelled this week of NIH study sections, meetings in which expert scientists consider whether the agency should bankroll a research project, as well as advisory council meetings, an additional review that culminates in a final funding recommendation.”

Per STAT News “‘Everything appears to have just ground to a halt,’ said Kiran Musunuru, a cardiologist and gene-editing expert at the University of Pennsylvania who works on several NIH-backed projects to develop CRISPR therapies for inherited diseases.”

Robert Kennedy Jr. Praises President Trump’s Order to Declassify RFK, JFK, and MLK Assassination Records

In May 2023, The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft interviewed Robert Kennedy, Jr. During our discussion RFK Jr. discussed his father’s assassination in depth. He also discussed his uncle’s assassination.

Robert has spent decades studying the assassinations that were life-changing events during his early years.

Robert Jr. told The Gateway Pundit that his father’s initial impulse was to call the CIA and ask about their involvement.

Robert was picked up early from school and made it home around the same time the CIA Director had arrived at his home.

The transcript from our discussion is published below.

On Thursday MSNBC asked Robert Kennedy, Jr. on his reaction to the news that President Trump was declassifying the Robert Kennedy, John Kennedy, and Martin Luther King assassination records.

Robert Kennedy cheered President Trump for keeping his promises.

NBC Anchor: Do you think is was the right move to declassify the documents?

Donald Trump Signs Executive Order for US Digital Asset Stockpile

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to establish a digital asset stockpile, according to a White House release. Indeed, the “crypto president” is delivering on his promise to Americans and crypto fans to prioritize the industry.

“The digital asset industry plays a crucial role in innovation and economic development in the United States, as well as our Nation’s international leadership,” the release quoting Trump states. “It is therefore the policy of my Administration to support the responsible growth and use of digital assets, blockchain technology, and related technologies across all sectors of the economy…”

During his campaign, Donald Trump spoke highly of cryptocurrency, even speaking at the 2024 Bitcoin Conference. He has already spoken with multiple crypto industry experts since he was elected last November. Additionally, multiple lawmakers and state officials introduced bills to launch strategic state Bitcoin reserves, in a move preparing for a national reserve. Furthermore, the 47th US President appointed Mark Uyeda as acting US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chair.

With anti-crypto head Gary Gensler resigning, Uyeda has already made progress amid Trump’s emerging agenda. In his first days, he also announced the arrival of the agency’s inaugural Crypto Task Force. Now, a digital asset stockpile is being formed.

Trump to Halt Gain-of-Function Viral Research Via Executive Order, Per Report

Of course, the big news comes with possibly an even bigger caveat: according to the WSJ’s source, bird flu might be exempt from the temporary ban, which would beg the question: why?

If the gain-of-function pause should apply to anything, it should be to the virus that the public health authorities have promised over and over and over would be the trigger for pandemic 2.0.

This is not a permanent ban, and ostensibly it does not apply to private-sector actors.

But let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth.

Via Wall Street Journal (emphasis added):

The Trump administration is preparing an executive order that would halt federal funding, at least temporarily, for a risky and controversial kind of research into viruses that makes the pathogens more dangerous or contagious.

The goal of the order would be to stop scientists with U.S. funding from conducting “gain-of-function” research on viruses that could endanger human health, people familiar with the plans said.

Some viruses, such as the H5N1 bird-flu pathogen, might be exempt from the order, one of the people said.

The order hasn’t been finalized, and its specifics are a work in progress, the person said.

*Some Republicans have blamed the Covid-19 pandemic on gain-of-function research. Defenders say it helps scientists assess the potential of pathogens to infect humans and find ways to combat them.

“Some Republicans” blame COVID-19 on gain-of-function research? How about various American spy agencies, the House Oversight Committee that did a two-year investigation into the issue, and “anyone with common sense”?

Trump orders Border Patrol to immediately stop setting illegal migrants free in the US: ‘Catch and release is ended’

Goodbye catch-and-release, hello catch-and-deport.

Migrants who are caught illegally crossing the US border will no longer be set free in the US while they await their immigration hearings. Instead, they’ll be taken into custody until they can be deported, Homeland Security sources told The Post.

Border Patrol agents were given the edict by the Trump administration on President Trump’s first full day in office Tuesday. It represents a seismic shift from the “catch-and-release” open border days of the Biden administration, during which around 8 million illegal immigrants flooded into the country.

Under the new orders, illegal migrants stopped at the border can only be released with the approval of from the Department of Homeland Security headquarters in Washington.

Under Biden, migrants often waltzed across the border with no fear of being turned back — emboldened by early signals by the administration that America’s borders were open.

Trump Says He Will ‘Demand’ Rate Cuts, Aligning His Views With Federal Reserve

President Donald Trump, speaking Thursday to the World Economic Forum, called for future interest rate cuts to follow declining oil prices, in remarks that align with the Federal Reserve’s projections for further easing. The speech marks Trump’s first significant commentary on monetary policy since taking office three days ago.

“With oil prices going down, I’ll demand that interest rates drop immediately, and likewise they should be dropping all over the world,” Trump, speaking via video from the U.S., told the audience of global leaders and business elites gathered in the Swiss alpine town. His comments suggest a conditional approach, linking monetary policy to energy markets.

A Rare Accord With the Fed

Trump’s remarks are notable for their congruence with the Federal Reserve’s current outlook. The central bank, under Chair Jerome Powell, has signaled plans to cut interest rates twice more this year, with additional reductions likely in 2026 and 2027. The Fed’s stance reflects expectations that inflation will continue to moderate even as the unemployment rate stays low and the economy grows faster than what the central bank sees as its long-term potential.

This alignment contrasts sharply with Trump’s first term, during which he frequently criticized the Fed for raising rates.

JFK’s grandson issues stern message to Trump after decision to release classified Kennedy assassination files

Jack Schlossberg issued a harsh rebuke to Donald Trump after his order to declassify all remaining documents about the 1963 murder of Schlossberg’s grandfather, former President John F. Kennedy.

The last secret files about the assassination of Kennedy can now be published after President Trump on Thursday ordered the declassification of all remaining documents about the 1963 murder.

Schlossberg, JFK’s only grandson and a social media darling, took to X to furiously criticize the files’ release and the hype over the information finally coming out.

‘The truth is a lot sadder than the myth — a tragedy that didn’t need to happen,’ Schlossberg wrote Thursday.

The liberal journalist and lawyer then criticized President Trump for using his grandfather’s death to score political points.

‘Not part of an inevitable grand scheme. Declassification is using JFK as a political prop, when he’s not here to punch back. There’s nothing heroic about it.’

Conspiracy theories – which is how Schlossberg labeled what those interested in the files wanted to find out about – continue to swirl 60 years after the killing.

Any new information will excite the amateur sleuths who continue to wonder whether there is more to the story than just a lone gunman in the shape of Lee Harvey Oswald.

Schumer calls on Trump to declassify government files on UFOs

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) says President Trump should declassify secret government archives about unidentified flying objects (UFOs), also known as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), in the spirit of greater government transparency.

“Now do UFOs,” Schumer wrote on social platform X in a repost of the White House’s announcement that Trump has ordered government files on John F. Kennedy, the nation’s 35th president, Robert F. Kennedy, his brother, and Martin Luther King Jr. to be declassified.

Schumer and Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) introduced a bill in the last Congress to require government records related to UAPs be disclosed unless officials provide reasons for why it should remain classified.

The provisions to require information related to UAPs or UFOs be made public, however, were later stripped from the annual defense authorization bill.

Schumer took up the mantle for calling for greater transparency for government records on UFOs from the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who sponsored a project to investigate incidents surrounding unexplained aerial phenomena.
