Homeland Security corrects data error — international student enrollment rose, not declined

International student enrollment increased last year, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security — contrary to data the agency previously posted, which showed a decline.

new analysis by Chris Glass, a professor at Boston College, found that student and exchange visitor information system data issued by DHS underreported the number of international students by more than 200,000 — an error that the agency corrected this month. Glass flagged the change on July 7.

The numbers from SEVIS, a division of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, show overseas enrollments totaled 1,294,231 in September, compared to the earlier-reported, erroneous figure of 1,091,182. SEVIS data tracks college students as well students in public and private high schools, language training, flight schools and vocational schools, among other programs.

The corrected data shows year-over-year growth of 6.5%, according to Glass. This is largely in line with Open Doors data, released by the U.S. Department of State and the Institute of International Education, which also found that the U.S. hosted a record number of students from abroad in the 2023-24 academic year.

The revised numbers show “robust growth,” Glass told CNBC. “It’s critical data at a moment when people are paying close attention to the number of international students in the U.S.”

SEVIS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

DOUBLE DIPPING: Son of Minnesota AG Keith Ellison Wants to Keep Six-Figure City Government Job While He’s Away at Harvard

Jeremiah Ellison is the son of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. He earns a six-figure salary as a member of the Minneapolis City Council.

The younger Ellison has now been awarded a fellowship at Harvard University in Massachusetts, a paid position, but he does not want to give up that sweet gig as a city councilor, naturally.

Even though he claims he is going to travel back to Minneapolis for some meetings, this situation is not sitting well with some of his fellow councilors.

FOX News reports:

Keith Ellison’s son to keep 6-figure Minneapolis councilmember salary during fellowship at Harvard

Minneapolis City Councilman Jeremiah Ellison says he will continue receiving his six-figure salary despite accepting a full-time fellowship at Harvard, he announced Wednesday.

Ellison, the son of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, is now facing criticism from his fellow councilmembers, who note that he will not be able to attend meetings and fully carry out his role. Ellison currently receives a roughly $110,000 salary for his role on the council, and his fellowship at Harvard is a paid position.

“I am extremely disappointed in this, and I hope that my colleagues don’t allow this to happen — something to happen to North Minneapolis that is not good for them just once again,” council member LaTrisha Vetaw said during a press conference last month.

“Without Council member Ellison sitting on those committees, we have zero North Minneapolis representation on those committees. That’s not acceptable to the only other North side council member up here,” she added…

Council rules mandate that members must be physically present both to attend meetings and vote.

Reps. Bryan Steil, Jim Jordan, James Comer Issue Subpoenas to ActBlue Lawyers as Foreign Donation Probe Picks Up

Representatives  Bryan Steil, Jim Jordan, and James Comer have issued subpoenas to a current ActBlue attorney, as well as two former attorneys for the Democrat fundraising powerhouse, according to the New York Post.

Former ActBlue  general counsel Darrin Hurwitz, ex-director and associate general counsel Aaron Ting, and an unnamed counsel for ActBlue will be required to sit before House investigators for formal depositions.

According to the New York Post:

Records uncovered by the committees showed that Hurwitz, Ting and the unidentified counsel worked with the platform’s fraud prevention team as it implemented “more lenient” standards during the 2024 campaign.

ActBlue let debit or credit transactions occur without requiring a card verification value (CVV) until January 2024 — around halfway through the election cycle — and newer standards published last year still instructed employees to “look for reasons to accept contributions.”

In April 2024 and again in September of that year, ActBlue further relaxed guidelines, permitting between 14 and 28 more fraudulent contributions per month — meaning up to 6.4% of total donations that should have been rejected for fraud were accepted.

In June, the congressional trio issued subpoenas to former Vice President of  Customer Service Alyssa Twomey and a Senior WorkFlow Specialist “regarding allegations that online fundraising platforms, including ActBlue, have accepted fraudulent donations from domestic and foreign sources.”

Initially, the duo had agreed to give their depositions to Congress, however, President Trump’s executive order on straw donor donations targeting ActBlue led their counsel to withdraw their offers, forcing the congressmen to issue subpoenas.

DOJ Opens Grand Jury Criminal Investigation Fed Governor Lisa Cook Over Mortgage Fraud Allegations

The Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook – and has issued multiple subpoenas as part of the inquiry into whether she committed mortgage fraud, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing ‘officials familiar with the matter.’

The probe – for which a grand jury has been assembled, will begin by looking at Cook’s properties in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Atlanta. It comes on the heels of two criminal investigations from Federal Housing Finance Agency director Bill Pulte, who has been dropping receipts for weeks with evidence that Cook committed fraud – including claiming two properties as her “primary residence” – as well as claiming that a rented out third property was her ‘second home’ – all things that would qualify her for better rates and tax treatment

Pulte accused Cook of misleading banks on multiple mortgage applications to receive favorable lending terms, such as lower interest rates, typically given to a buyer who intends to occupy the home they purchase.

A judge is considering Cook’s request for an emergency order stopping her from being removed from the Fed board while the case proceeds. The Fed’s next meeting is set to begin Sept. 16. -WSJ

Last Thursday, Cook filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after President Donald Trump fired her that Monday ‘for cause.’ Among the excuses contained in the lawsuit for alleged mortgage fraud was a possible clerical error

Except, Cook described herself in her 2023 nomination hearing as having “significant experience in banking and finance, as is evidenced by my service on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and of a Community Development Financial Institution in Michigan, in addition to my employment at an investment bank and a large commercial bank.”

What’s more, the Federal Reserve Act allows the president to fire Fed governors ‘for cause’ – which the Trump administration claims applies. In a Tuesday court filing, Cook’s lawyers said she “did not ever commit mortgage fraud.”

Pulte shot down any notion that the fed wasn’t political in a Thursday appearance on CNBC, saying “I don’t believe for the last 4 years that the Fed has been independent.”

RFK Jr. vs. “The Science”: The Untold Story of Corporate Capture

The “scientist” on the left pushed COVID shots for babies, pregnant women, and backed mandates. RFK Jr. vs. “The Science”

The man on the right is trying to Make America Healthy Again.

The CDC has a corruption problem, and it’s been this way for decades.

And it all traces back to one quiet change that took place in 1983.

This information comes from the work of medical researcher A Midwestern Doctor. For all the sources and details, read the full report below.

Unmasking CDC Corruption: RFK’s Battle to Reform Public Health

RFK Jr. wants to Make America Healthy Again.

But don’t think his confirmation as HHS Secretary flipped a switch. What some people fail to realize is that he wasn’t suddenly given the power to do what he wants.

For one thing, the bureaucrats under him didn’t suddenly embrace MAHA.

In fact, the opposite happened.

And no agency has fought harder against reform than the CDC.

Company Owned by Ilhan Omar’s Multimillionaire Husband Owes IRS Over $200,000 in Unpaid Taxes

A company owned by Tim Mynett, the multimillionaire husband of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), failed to pay its fair share of taxes in 2021, according to a tax lien obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Mynett’s company, EStreetCo, accumulated nearly $206,000 in unpaid income, Social Security, and Medicare taxes in 2021, the IRS charged in a tax lien filed against the company in Sonoma County, Calif., in January 2023. Omar, who introduced legislation in February to “make corporations pay their fair share,” was married to Mynett when the IRS says the company failed to pay its taxes.

In her 2021 financial disclosure, the Minnesota Democrat described EStreetCo as a “creative agency” and said Mynett’s share of the company was worth no more than $1,000.

EStreetCo provided advertising, design, and public relations services, and boasted a staff of at least 17 people, according to an archived version of its website. Mynett’s business partner, former DNC adviser Will Hailer, formed EStreetCo in October 2020, and business records show the pair owned the firm until its dissolution in June 2022, about seven months before the IRS filed the lien.

RFK Jr. Says CDC Ordered Scientist to DESTROY Autism Data Linking Measles Vaccine to Black Children in 2002

During a stunning Senate hearing, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that in the early 2000s, a senior CDC scientist was ordered to destroy data from an internal study that showed a staggering link between the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine and autism risk in young Black boys.

In 2004, a CDC-backed case-control study in Atlanta compared 624 children with autism to 1,824 without, assessing whether timing of MMR vaccination (before vs. after 18 or 24 months) was linked to autism risk. It found no significant association.

While the 2004 study did not find a causal link, a later re-analysis of the same data received significant attention.

A 2014 study published in Translational Neurodegeneration re-examined the CDC’s dataset and claimed to find an increased autism risk among African American boys who received the MMR vaccine before 36 months of age.

According to the 2014 study, “The present study provides new epidemiologic evidence showing that African American males receiving the MMR vaccine prior to 24 months of age or 36 months of age are more likely to receive an autism diagnosis.”

According to RFK Jr., the findings were explosive:

“The data from that study showed that black boys who got the vaccine on time had a 260% greater chance of getting an autism diagnosis than children who waited,” Kennedy testified.

“The chief scientist on that, Dr. William Thompson, the Senior Vaccine Safety Scientist at CDC, was ordered to come into a room with four other co-authors by his boss, Frank DeStefano, who’s the head of the safety press, and ordered to destroy that data. Then they published it without that fact.”

RFK Jr Leaves Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren Redfaced When He Exposes Her Big Pharma Ties – Then RFK Jr Embarrasses Bernie Sanders When He Comes to Warren’s Defense

After burying multiple Democratic Senators intent on trying to destroy his political career, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. got his chance to dunk on arguably the most notorious Senators in America. As expected, he did not disappoint.

As NBC News reported, Kennedy appeared before the Senate Finance Committee to answer questions.

This comes one week after Kennedy pushed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director, Susan Monarez, to resign. The White House fired her when she refused, and three top CDC officials then resigned in protest.

The hearing got testy in a hurry after far-left, Big Pharma hack Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR), when he tried to question Kennedy’s integrity by bringing up the words of the disgraced Monarez. This failed to faze Kennedy as he left Wyden completely humiliated.

Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) then got into a screaming match with Kennedy over mRNA vaccines and embarrassed himself as well.

Senators Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren (D-MA) and Comrade Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT) later had their chance to interrogate Kennedy and fared no better.

Warren accused Kennedy of taking away COVID shots from those who wanted them when he changed COVID vaccine recommendations for healthy children and pregnant women back in June. They are no longer recommended to receive the shots.

Then, Kennedy exposed Warren for taking nearly $900,000 from Big Pharma. This should come as no surprise to TGP readers since Warren previously defended Big Pharma in a hearing with Kennedy earlier this year.

Having no answer, Warren doubled down on calling Kennedy a liar without evidence, which he rebutted again.

Internal Emails Reveal Joe Biden Did NOT Review Thousands of Pardons Granted in Final Days of Presidency

New internal emails reveal Joe Biden did not review thousands of pardons granted in the final days of his presidency.

“[Biden] doesn’t review the warrants,” one of the White House lawyers said.

The New York Post reported:

President Biden’s sweeping clemency grants during his final days in office caused concern inside the West Wing and Justice Department about how to ensure his wishes were accurately implemented — and it’s unclear whether Biden himself was consulted before thousands of pardons were announced, internal emails obtained exclusively by The Post show.

The messages indicate the 46th president orally approved commutations for inmates jailed for crack cocaine offenses on Jan. 11 — but his auto-penned signature wasn’t affixed to three documents listing about 2,500 recipients until the morning of Jan. 17.

The debate over who exactly to include in the mass pardons and how to modify their sentences came to a head late on the night of Jan. 16.

Then-White House Staff Secretary Stef Feldman, a key gatekeeper of the presidential autopen, wrote to West Wing lawyers she needed evidence Biden had consented before she authorized a mechanical signature on one of the most sweeping acts of clemency in American history.

— Rep. James Comer (@RepJamesComer) September 4, 2025

The Oversight Project broke the story about the Biden autopen scandal wide open after they discovered thousands of acts of clemency and executive actions were signed with an autopen rather than a wet signature.

Earlier this year, the Oversight Project revealed six criminals were pardoned by Biden’s autopen on December 30, 2022, while Joe Biden was vacationing and golfing in St. Croix.

Over the summer it was reported that the White House is investigating the growing Biden autopen scandal.

Top Aide to Democrat Newark Mayor Ras Baraka PLEADS GUILTY in Corruption Scheme — Faces Up to 20 YEARS in Federal Prison

A top aide to Newark Mayor Ras Baraka has officially pled guilty to conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, admitting involvement in a pay-to-play corruption scheme that traded government favors for bribes.

Alina Habba, Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, announced the plea in a blistering statement on X:

“Today a former Senior Aide to the Mayor of Newark plead guilty to conspiracy to commit honest services fraud.

This is a clear example of a pay-to-play scheme, where public officials exploit their positions of power to obtain bribes in exchange for doing their jobs. This betrays the trust of the very community members they claim to serve.

I will not stand for public corruption anywhere in New Jersey.   These charges have a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. This is what accountability looks like — and I will continue to fight for the people of New Jersey.”

— US Attorney Habba (@USAttyHabba) September 3, 2025

This latest scandal follows Mayor Ras Baraka’s own arrest just last month after storming into the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in an act of political grandstanding.

He was charged with criminal trespass before Habba’s office announced that the misdemeanor case had been dropped.

But Baraka hasn’t let the matter go. Instead of accepting responsibility, he filed a lawsuit against Acting U.S. Attorney Habba and Homeland Security Special Agent Ricky Patel, accusing them of “false arrest and malicious prosecution.” His attorneys even smeared Habba as a “political operative” in a 17-page complaint.

Habba responded on the lawsuit stating, “My advice to the mayor – feel free to join me in prioritizing violent crime and public safety. Far better use of time for the great citizens of New Jersey.”
