Texas Democrat James Talarico Said Having Police in Schools Fuels ‘Culture of Violence’ in Newly Resurfaced Audio

We haven’t heard much lately from James Talarico, the Texas Democrat running for a U.S. Senate seat in November. Perhaps he has been trying to keep a low profile. Every time this guy turns around, a bizarre new video or audio clip of him surfaces somewhere highlighting his utterly bonkers view of Christianity.

Now there is another one.

In this case, Talarico says that having police in schools fuels a culture of violence. This goes directly to the idiotic Democrat idea of defunding the police.

Also, why would anyone object to having more police in schools? It could save lives.

Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico is pushing back on the idea that he supports defunding the police, calling it a “flat-out lie.”

Republicans are confronting Talarico with resurfaced comments from a 2019 episode of the Trey Blocker Show, in which he suggests that a heavy police presence in schools without sufficient mental health professionals contributes to a “culture of violence.”

Democrats believe they have a shot at flipping the critical Senate seat blue for the first time in decades. But the GOP hopes to defend its Senate majority by highlighting Talarico’s more controversial stances to undermine his moderate appeal.

The latest to be unearthed is from the 2019 interview, in which Talarico decried plans to increase police officer presence in schools without also placing more emphasis on mental health.

“We’re all concerned about school safety and recent school shootings, and that concern, in some ways, has been channeled unproductively toward militarizing schools and toward kind of leaning into a culture of violence and adding more law enforcement officials into campuses,” he posited.

As a solution, Talarico, a former middle school teacher, touted the first bill he introduced as a member of the Texas House of Representatives, which would have mandated a set ratio of mental health workers for every police officer placed in a school.

Rather than pursue these leads as evidence of corruption at the highest levels, the FBI buried them and pivoted to investigating Trump.

The contrast is staggering. When the memos implicated the Clinton campaign, senior officials dismissed them as “raw” and “likely not credible.” Yet the same FBI elevated Christopher Steele’s opposition-research dossier—funded by the Clinton campaign through Perkins Coie and Fusion GPS—into the foundation for FISA warrants on Carter Page.

Steele’s claims (the “pee tape,” Cohen in Prague, Page’s alleged Rosneft deal) were never corroborated and later collapsed, but they were treated as gospel while genuine intelligence about Clinton’s scheme was ignored. This selective blindness wasn’t incompetence. It was deliberate.

Allen demonstrates how the operation evolved from a defensive Clinton campaign tactic into a full Obama administration effort. After Trump’s victory, the hoax did not die—it escalated. On December 9, 2016, President Obama personally ordered the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA).

Under CIA Director John Brennan’s direction, a hand-picked group produced a document claiming with “high confidence” that Putin interfered specifically to help Trump. This assessment became the bridge that kept the investigation alive.

Articles of impeachment were filed against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for “corrupt” conduct in office back in January 12, 2026.

The resolution accuses Walz of violating his constitutional oath by engaging in corrupt conduct and failing to faithfully execute state laws.

Heritage reported that Federal prosecutors estimate that fraud in Minnesota-administered social services programs (mostly Medicaid and related aid) since 2018 could total $9 billion or more—roughly half or more of the $18 billion billed across 14 “high-risk” programs.

Climate Organization Behind Anti-ICE Protests Is Leading May 1 School Walkout Plan, Parent Group Reports

One of the main organizations behind the recent protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations is encouraging children to walk out of class en masse next month to help promote its agenda, which includes achieving what it said are “Eco-socialism, [a] multi-racial democracy, and Green New Deal legislation,” according to a April 8 report by representatives of parent group Defending Education.

The Sunrise Movement, during its March 17 online membership meeting, called on schools to “train up” employees and students to disrupt the federal government ahead of planned May 1 “May Day” protests as part of an ongoing “political revolution” to “structurally change the foundations of this country,” according to slides Defending Education, a nonprofit opposing indoctrination in classrooms, obtained from a tipster who attended the meeting.

The Sunrise Movement, according to the slides and its website, describes itself as an anti-President Donald Trump “climate revolution” group that advocates socialism, supports a rainbow coalition of the multi-racial working class, and calls for an end to the “billionaire” two-party political system.

In addition to mass school walkouts, the organization is also calling for more disruptions to Hilton hotels, which have housed ICE officers, according to the slides. Past actions included calling for boycotts of the hotel chain and engaging in “wide awake” events where protestors gathered outside of Hilton-branded hotels and made as much noise as possible to prevent ICE officers—and everyone else staying there—from sleeping.

Another slide illustrates a domino effect that starts with the ideological conversion of students and young people and spreads to teachers, customer service workers, city service workers, factory service workers, shipping and transportation workers, and ultimately “military and police defections.”

“They have zero reservations about using children to advance their political ideology,” Rhyen Staley, Defending Education research director, told The Epoch Times. “These kids are being used for their propaganda.”

Florida Launches Investigation into OpenAI: ‘Linked to Criminal Behavior’

Florida is launching an investigation into OpenAI, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced on Thursday, noting that it has been linked to “criminal behavior,” including the deadly shooting at Florida State University (FSU) in April 2025.

“Today we are launching an investigation into OpenAI. The development and rollout of artificial intelligence is a monumental leap in technology, but it has not been without concern for public safety and national security,” Uthmeier began in his Thursday announcement.

“AI is built on its ability to gather data, and there are concerns about whether open AI’s data and AI technologies that can be used against America are falling into the hands of America’s enemies,” he said, naming the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as an example.

Further, Chat GPT has been linked to a variety of criminal behavior, he continued, “including child sex abuse, material use by child predators and the encouragement of suicide and self harm.” Not only that, but Uthmeier pointed out that the AI chatbot was likely used to assist Phoenix Ikner, the suspect who allegedly opened fire on the FSU campus on April 17, 2025, plan the attack.

“We’ve also learned that Chat GPT may likely have been used to assist the murderer in a recent masculine shooting at Florida State University. The Tragically, AI should exist to supplement support and advance mankind, not lead to an existential crisis or our ultimate demise,” he said.

“As big tech rolls out these technologies, they should not they cannot put our safety and security at risk. We support innovation that doesn’t give any company the right to endanger our children, facilitate criminal activity, empower America’s enemies or threaten our national security, companies that do so will be held accountable to the fullest extent,” he continued, formally announcing the investigation and warning that subpoenas were on their way.

Uthmeier also called on the Florida legislature to take action and implement protections to safeguard children from the dangers of AI.

The Hysterical Media Are Lying About The Forest Service Reorganization

In a ludicrous news story this week, The New Yorker writes about “the gutting of the Forest Service,” and warns that the supposed “gutting” is happening right before wildfire season. If you read the story for yourself, look for numbers: budget reductions, slashed staffing. Spoiler alert: You won’t find any of that. A story about something being “gutted” makes no effort to quantify the claim.

In fact, the Trump administration is reorganizing the Forest Service, starting by moving its national headquarters from Washington, D.C., to Utah, the heart of the Western lands that the service largely manages. The plan also replaces large regional headquarters with state offices, moving the management of public lands closer to the actual forests. You can read a detailed description of the changes, with a list of offices that are closing and a list of the offices that will replace them, here. The reorganization is debatable, and its effects have yet to be seen, but the Forest Service isn’t being “gutted.” It’s being reorganized.

In an example of a good sign, the National Association of State Foresters released a statement last week expressing cautious optimism about the reorganization: “The National Association of State Foresters (NASF) supports the transition to a state-based organizational model that continues to serve all lands. … While the restructuring plan raises many questions, we appreciate that it reflects feedback from State Foresters and other stakeholders.”

Similarly, the Democrat governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, has expressed support for the reorganization: “Colorado is known for our outdoor spaces and nation-leading research institutions that are strengthening our forests and public lands, so it only makes sense that the U.S. Forest Service would include a location in our great state.” The New Yorker warns that the Forest Service is being “gutted,” while the governor of a state with significant National Forest land has warm things to say about the improvement of federal forest management. Go figure.

As for the implied wildfire threat, you can read a detailed line-item description of the federal wildfire budget here. It’s going up, not down: $6.35 billion in FY 2024, $6.7 billion in FY 2026. Firefighter salaries are improving after a long period of stagnation that made it harder to fill federal wildfire jobs. This is not “gutting.”

Supreme Court REJECTS Appeal from So-Called ‘Republican’ Candidate After Being Exposed as a Democrat Plant

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to intervene on behalf of a “Republican” candidate who was kicked off the GOP ballot after evidence surfaced tying him directly to the Democrat Party.

Samuel Ronan, a progressive who ran for Chair of the Democratic National Committee back in 2017, thought he could sneak onto the GOP primary ballot in Ohio’s solidly conservative 15th Congressional District.

On Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Sarah D. Morrison ruled that the Franklin County Board of Elections acted within its authority when it voted to remove Ronan from the ballot, clearing the path for incumbent Rep. Mike Carey.

Judge Morrison ruled that Ronan allegedly lied about being a Republican.

In an order filed April 6, U.S. District Court Judge Sarah D. Morrison allowed the Franklin County Board of Elections to remove Ronan from the race. The two Republican members of the four-person county board voted last month to kick Ronan out of the race while the two Democrats voted to keep him on.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose later broke the 2-2 tie and sided with his fellow Republicans against Ronan’s candidacy. Ronan appealed the decision in federal court, and Morrison initially issued a temporary restraining order allowing him to remain in the race. That order is now vacated.

Ronan already appealed Morrison’s decision to the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which sided with Morrison. Ronan is now appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court. A response to his application for an injunction is due by noon on April 8.

Franklin County GOP Central Committee member Marc Schare filed the protest against Ronan’s candidacy, pointing to past statements from Ronan while he was a longshot candidate for chair of the U.S. Democratic National Committee and a recent Facebook comment Ronan made.

Ronan told The Dispatch his statements are being mischaracterized. Ronan argues that he should be allowed to present his progressive ideology as a Republican and let the GOP voters decide.

However, SCOTUS refused to intervene, leaving the lower court’s ruling in place.
