Defense Department Continues Ignoring Harms to Readiness by Pushing Flu Shots Contrary to Large Body of Evidence

After the tyrannical enforcement of the now-rescinded 2021 COVID-19 shot mandate, now determined to be “unlawful as implemented,” skepticism of all vaccines has clearly increased throughout the military community.

Sadly, some service members are facing punitive actions for objecting to the flu shot, having argued it is ineffective and detrimental to not only their health, but also their religious convictions. An anonymous Marine officer and Air Force Major Brennan Schilperoort share a similar moral and religious objection to the shot, while also suffering adverse effects from a previous injection. Additionally, both officers have also shown natural immunity.

Rather than recognizing their Constitutionally protected religious rights to substantiate their objection, the military has decided to separate both individuals from service. Although Maj. Schilperoort’s pay was restored by the Air Force, it must be noted Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is aware of their situation, but has thus far remained silent on the issue of separation over the flu shot.

The Gateway Pundit spoke to independent journalist Jeremy Hammond, whose articles about the flu shot have elicited high praise from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

For Hammond, “The coerced vaccination of military service members is yet another unfortunate example of how the government systematically violates individuals’ right to informed consent.” He explained, “This policy exists despite scientific evidence indicating that getting an annual flu shot can actually increase the risk of influenza illness.”

A Cleveland Clinic study of their 54,402 employees during the 2024-2025 flu season found the flu shot was not effective in preventing the transmission of the respiratory illness. Results of the study can be found at MedRxiv, pronounced “med-archive,” an online platform used to share “preprints” in the medical, clinical, and health science fields.

The manuscript is a preprint, meaning it has not been peer-reviewed. Thus, “it reports new medical research that has yet to be evaluated and so should not be used to guide clinical practice,” according to the site.

While some might question the validity and reliability of the research as a result, preprints are also known to allow for quicker dissemination of research, provide opportunities for feedback from the scientific community, or could simply be considered an early version of the research manuscript.

With these parameters in place to consider, the study found “in an analysis adjusted for age, sex, clinical nursing job, and employment location, the risk of influenza was significantly higher for the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated state, yielding a calculated vaccine effectiveness of −26.9%” [emphasis added]. Therefore, based on this data, it can be stated vaccinated individuals were 27 percent more likely to get the flu.

Money, sex and a Buddhist monk: Head of China’s famed Shaolin Temple under investigation

China’s famed Shaolin Temple announced on Sunday that its abbot is under investigation for suspected embezzlement and “improper relationships” with women, reviving decade-old allegations against the controversial, high-profile monk.

Shi Yongxin, known as “CEO monk” for his entrepreneurial endeavors that transformed the Buddhist monastery into a commercial empire, is suspected of criminal offenses including embezzlement and misappropriation of project funds and temple assets, the temple’s authority said in a statement.

The 59-year-old monk was also accused of seriously violating Buddhist precepts by maintaining “improper relationships” with multiple women over an extended period and fathering at least one child, according to the statement.

Buddhist monks in China have traditionally been expected to take a vow of celibacy.

“(Shi) is currently under joint investigation by multiple departments. Further information will be released to the public in due course,” the statement added.

CNN has not been able to contact Shi.

Established more than 1,500 years ago in the forested mountains of central China, the Shaolin Temple is both a religious and cultural icon, renowned for its age-old tradition of Zen Buddhism and Shaolin kung fu – a distinct form of Chinese martial arts.

Shi, who became the abbot of the Shaolin Temple in 1999 and was a member of China’s rubber-stamp parliament for two decades, has frequently appeared in the media spotlight.

Known as the first Chinese abbot to hold a Master of Business Administration degree, he was often seen globetrotting with an iPhone in hand, meeting world leaders and industry titans – from the late Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, late South African president Nelson Mandela, and Henry Kissinger to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Hackers breach intelligence website used by CIA

Unidentified hackers recently compromised a major intelligence website used by the CIA and other agencies to submit details of sensitive contracts, according to the National Reconnaissance Office, the spy satellite service that runs the site.

The breach targeted proprietary intellectual property and personal information submitted on the Acquisition Research Center website in support of several innovative CIA spying programs.

In addition to the intelligence website hack, Microsoft revealed this week that Chinese state hackers compromised the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration, a central nuclear weapons agency.

A National Reconnaissance Office spokesman told The Washington Times: “We can confirm that an incident involving our unclassified Acquisition Research Center website is currently being investigated by federal law enforcement. We do not comment on ongoing investigations.”

The extent of the breach is not fully known, but people familiar with the activity said hackers likely obtained information on key technologies for CIA operations.

Other potential areas of compromise could include the Space Force, its efforts to build surveillance satellites and space weapons, and the Golden Dome missile defense program.

Data from one highly sensitive program, Digital Hammer, was compromised, said people familiar with the hacking.

Digital Hammer compiles cutting-edge technologies for human intelligence gathering, surveillance and counterintelligence operations. The program focuses on the threat of Chinese intelligence and information operations.

Drones, cameras, AI: University of Illinois real time crime center raises privacy concerns

Thousands of cameras. A fleet of drones. Gun shot detection devices. Stationary and vehicle-mounted automatic license plate readers.

A major metropolitan city? No, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Real-Time Information Center furnishes the institution’s Division of Public Safety with a number of technologically sophisticated tools that have some privacy experts alarmed.

The drones, gunshot detection devices, automatic license plate readers, and campus-wide system of roughly 3,000 security cameras are among the tools currently utilized at the campus, which enrolls about 59,000 students.

Social media monitoring programs and “AI-driven video analytics software” are also among the technologies being evaluated for possible future implementation, according to a document sent by Urbana Police Chief Larry Boone.

He sent it to city officials as they deliberate a proposed city ordinance to establish stricter approval, oversight, and transparency requirements for Urbana’s own acquisition and use of the kinds of surveillance tools being used by the university’s Real-Time Information Center.

According to the document, the Real-Time Information Center provides a wide array of services designed to enhance public safety, streamline operations, and support law enforcement agencies.

Oklahoma’s Trump-Loving, Bible-Thumping Superintendent Faces Porn Probe

An investigation is underway in Oklahoma after a television screen in the MAGA state school superintendent’s office reportedly showed a video of nude women during an executive session of the State Board of Education on Thursday.

The images reportedly appeared on a screen in the office of Ryan Walters, Oklahoma’s far-right Superintendent of Public Instruction. Walters previously told schools to teach the Bible and Ten Commandments, demanded students watch him pray for Donald Trump, and named transphobe Chaya Raichik to a state education committee. He also tried to use state money to purchase bibles for classrooms that matched the specifics of those marketed by the president and his family.

As you might expect, Walters has led a crusade against “pornography” in school libraries.

Two members of the Oklahoma board of education said they were shocked at what they saw on the screen on Thursday.

“I was like, ‘Those are naked women,’” board member Becky Carson told The Oklahoman. “And then I was like, ‘No, wait a minute. Those aren’t naked, surely those aren’t naked women. Something is playing a trick on my eye. Maybe they just have on tan body suits. … This is just really bizarre.’”

“I saw them just walking across the screen, and I’m like, ‘no.” I’m sorry I even have to use this language, but I’m like, ‘Those are her nipples.’ And then I’m like, ‘That’s pubic hair.’ What in the world am I watching? I didn’t watch a second longer.”

Carson told Walters to turn the video off.

“I was so disturbed by it, that I was like — very loudly and boastfully, like I was a parent or a teacher — I said, ‘What is on your TV? What am I watching?’ He was like, ‘What? What are you talking about?’ He stood up and saw it. He made acknowledgment that he saw it,” Carson said, according to NonDoc Media, an Oklahoma news website.  “And I said, ‘Turn it off. Now.’ And he was like, ‘What is this? What is this?’ So he acknowledged it was inappropriate just by those words. And he was like, ‘I can’t get it to turn off. I can’t figure out how to turn it off.’ And I said, ‘Get it turned off.’ So he finally got it turned off, and that was the end of it. He didn’t address it. He didn’t apologize. Nothing was said.”

DOGE Unleashes New AI Deregulation Decision Tool Targeting 200,000 Federal Regulations- Aims to Slash 50% by January 2026

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has announced a new AI reregulation tool that could slash Federal regulations by as much as 50%.

A Washington Post exclusive notes that the tool, the ‘DOGE AI Deregulation Decision Tool,’ “is supposed to analyze roughly 200,000 federal regulations to determine which can be eliminated because they are no longer required by law.”

The Post reviewed a PowerPoint presentation dated July 1 that outlines the specifics.

“Roughly 100,000 of those rules would be deemed worthy of trimming, the PowerPoint estimates — mostly through the automated tool with some staff feedback. The PowerPoint also suggests the AI tool will save the United States trillions of dollars by reducing compliance requirements, slashing the federal budget and unlocking unspecified “external investment.”

DOGE shared on X, “The AI-driven deregulation push at DOGE isn’t just streamlining red tape—it’s surgically targeting bureaucratic bloat that’s choked agencies for decades.”

“The system cross-references 15,000+ regulations against statutory authority, flagging provisions where agencies exceeded congressional mandates. Take HUD’s Public Housing reforms: AI identified 1,200+ redundant compliance checks in tenant verification processes, enabling targeted cuts that maintain oversight while eliminating 40% of administrative overhead.”

“This isn’t blanket deregulation—it’s precision calibration.”

“The $175B savings milestone proves the model works, with contract cancellations like the $2.9B ORR influx facility termination showing real fiscal discipline. Critics miss the point: when you replace 500 pages of procurement rules with 50 pages of blockchain-encoded smart contracts, you’re not weakening governance—you’re modernizing it.”

“The goal? Replace voluminous compliance theater with algorithmic accountability that actually works.”

How a three-star migrant hotel in Barbican became a living nightmare for locals: Blazing mattresses and a TV hurled from windows… and no fewer than 41 ‘guests’ charged with 90 offences ranging from rape to sexual assault, robbery and bag snatching

Woken by police to be told that his car had been damaged, Ufuoma Odoh wasn’t prepared for the scene that confronted him.

The Volvo XC40, parked on the street around the corner from his London flat, was missing its rear windscreen – smashed by a television hurled out of the window of a nearby hotel room.

In the past, such loutish antics were the preserve of rich, drug-addled rock stars. Today, it’s just part of the day-to-day reality of living alongside one of the many hotels now given over to asylum seekers.

Because, as 49-year-old Mr Odoh discovered, the free board and lodging laid on courtesy of the British taxpayer is absolutely no guarantee of good behaviour.

‘At first, police searched the first two floors of the hotel, discovered no TVs were missing, and closed the case,’ the council worker explained of the incident last month.

‘Then the manager found a TV missing on the fourth floor and called the police, who arrested the person who did it. They took him to the police station and questioned him, but they claimed there was not enough proof as nobody had seen him throw the TV out of the window. I said, “But the manager told you he did it. Is that not enough?” They insisted it wasn’t.’

When Mr Odoh complained to the Home Office about what had happened, he was told that he should take the matter up with his insurers. Rather than make a claim and push up his premiums, he has now shelled out £750 of his own money to make good the damage.

And Mr Odoh is far from alone in counting the cost – financial, emotional and more – of living next to migrant lodgings.

Last weekend, The Mail on Sunday revealed the shocking scale of serious crime committed by asylum seekers living in hotels in communities across Britain.

An audit of court records found that of occupants at 70 hotels – just a third of those used – a remarkable 312 had been charged with 708 criminal offences.

Most shocking of all was the finding that one hotel alone – the three-star Thistle City Barbican in London – had seen 41 migrants listed at the address charged with more than 90 offences in the past year alone. Today, a closer analysis of those crimes paints a worrying picture of the real-life impact of placing asylum seekers – including those who have crossed the Channel in small boats – in the heart of towns and cities.

Charges brought include rape, arson, sexual assault, affray, actual bodily harm, strangulation, robbery, theft and shoplifting. Knife crime and drink and drug offences are commonplace, as are attacks on police officers going about their duties. Those accused of the crimes are all men, with the vast majority aged in their 20s and 30s. Many of those convicted are dealt with by means of suspended or community sentences. In a number of cases warrants have been issued for arrest after defendants failed to attend court hearings.

Financial penalties and costs were also often waived because the defendants were found to have ‘no means’. Given that the London hotel has recently also been identified as a hub for illegal working, some will regard that as a particular irony.

Trump Says Kamala Campaign ‘Broke the Law’ by Paying Beyoncé, Oprah

President Donald Trump accused former Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign of breaking the law regarding alleged payments to celebrities such as Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey for their endorsements.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump revealed that he was “looking at the large amount of money” the Democrats owed after the 2024 presidential election, adding that “They admit to paying, probably illegally” millions of dollars to Beyoncé, Winfrey, and MSNBC political commentator Al Sharpton, among others.

Trump wrote in his post:

I’m looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election, and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!), Three Million Dollars for “expenses,” to Oprah, Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to very low rated TV “anchor,” Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!), and others to be named for doing, absolutely NOTHING!

Trump continued to state that “tThese ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records.”

DOJ Charges Restaurant Owners in Multi-State Illegal Alien Hiring Conspiracy

Four individuals tied to a regional restaurant chain operating in Alabama and Arizona are facing federal charges following a multiyear investigation into allegations of employing illegal aliens and circumventing labor laws.

On May 27, 2025, a federal grand jury in Phoenix, Arizona, returned a five-count indictment against Robert Clouston and Brenda Clouston, both 61, of northern Arizona, along with Luis Pedro Rogel-Jaimes, 33, and Iris Romero-Molina, 29, both Mexican nationals illegally present in the United States.

The charges include Conspiracy to Transport Illegal Aliens, Conspiracy to Harbor Illegal Aliens, Conspiracy to Encourage and Induce an Alien to Unlawfully Enter the United States, and Pattern and Practice of Knowingly Employing Unauthorized Aliens.

According to the indictment announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona, the Cloustons are accused of operating five Colt Grill BBQ & Spirits locations in the cities of Cottonwood, Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Sedona, Arizona, as well as in Foley, Alabama.

The charges stem from a three-year investigation into labor exploitation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and partner agencies.

Federal authorities allege that in September 2022, the Cloustons, together with Rogel-Jaimes and Romero-Molina, devised a scheme to use a cleaning company as a cover to recruit and hire illegal aliens to work at the restaurant locations.

Romero-Molina is accused of creating a business entity named R&R AZ Cleaning, which prosecutors allege functioned as a front company to conceal the employment of unauthorized workers.
