Disgraced news anchor admitted to COVID fraud scheme in text to hubby: ‘We don’t quite qualify’

A former Emmy-nominated TV news anchor convicted in a billion-dollar COVID fraud scheme sent a scandalous text to her partner in crime that joked about cheating the taxpayers.

Stephanie Hockridge-Reis, who worked for a local station in Phoenix before becoming a fintech entrepreneur, sent the message to her husband, Nathan Reis, after applying for Payment Protection Program (PPP) loans during the height of the pandemic.

“This is us trying to apply for free money — when we don’t quite qualify. lol,” she texted Reis, 47, according to a federal indictment obtained by the Arizona Republic.

The couple was accused of fraudulently obtaining over $300,000 in PPP loans for themselves, including one application that falsely claimed he was a veteran and an African American.

Reis took a plea deal on Monday and will be sentenced in November.

Shock Claim: Govt. Docs Reveal Pentagon’s “Self-Spreading” Vaccine Development, Already Passed Animal Trials

The Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) has obtained new documents through a Department of Defense (DoD) request for proposal revealing the U.S. military’s funding of a controversial self-spreading vaccine program known as DARPA INTERCEPT.

The documents reveal, say ICAN, that the animal trials were a success and that the next step of development is to inject terminally-ill humans next.

ICAN reports that Autonomous Therapeutics, a biotech company, has already published results showing successful tests of its self-spreading vaccines in monkeys. Their stated goal is to build “synthetic immune systems.”

FOIA Revelations on “Tiny Trojan Horses”

Last year, ICAN drew public attention to U.S. government studies on self-spreading vaccines. Now, ICAN attorneys have uncovered fresh details showing that DARPA’s INTERCEPT program funded the development of ‘therapeutic interfering particles’ (TIPs). These are engineered viruses designed to act as “tiny Trojan horses” that carry genetic material from person to person.

The FOIA records show that the INTERCEPT program planned not only to create these spreading particles, but also to build computer models to predict how TIPs could move from a single cell to an entire population.

The military’s role in this work has been reported for several years, such as in this 2020 Washington Post profile.

Contract Awarded to Autonomous Therapeutics

Documents reveal a 2016 DoD request for proposal calling for a “biological system for replicating ‘human-like conditions’” to study the evolutionary dynamics of mutating pathogens and diseases. This contract was awarded to Autonomous Therapeutics, co-founded by Ariel and Leor Weinberger.

Leor Weinberger has published research testing TIPs engineered for HIV on rhesus monkeys. He is now pursuing plans to inject TIPs into terminally ill HIV patients. ICAN warns that such genetic payloads could integrate permanently into patients’ DNA and could possibly spread beyond the intended clinical trial population.

Scientists have typically justified this research on the basis that it could be utilized to stop quick outbreaks of major viruses such as Ebola and quickly stop potential pandemics.

Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics at BLS

President Trump has appointed E.J. Antoni, an economist from the Heritage Foundation, to head up the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
This is an extremely challenging job because the traditional approach — not going back months, but decades — has always been terribly partisan. It is, almost by definition, based more on a ton of subjective opinions than on any actual objective facts.

The press — even the allegedly business-minded publications, which ought to know better — is slamming President Trump for firing the last BLS chief, claiming that she was fired only “because last month’s numbers weren’t to his liking.”

It’s a lie.

In fact, the BLS has been producing objectively bad reports for decades, routinely exaggerating the good news during Democrat administrations and exaggerating the bad news during Republican administrations. They’re always quietly adjusting the numbers weeks or months after the fact — and it’s funny, isn’t it, how the adjustments always seem to favor the Democrats and hurt the GOP?

E.J. Antoni is a great numbers guy. To the extent that this job can be done well, in a nation this huge and an economy this diverse, he’ll be fine.

But, just as we have learned to expect more creativity from this administration in areas of foreign policy and bureaucratic oversight, let’s hope too for more creativity in this statistics-gathering role.

The really important challenge is going to be in establishing rational expectations in defining the real meaning of these statistics.

When the BLS reports on job growth and unemployment changes, to be really helpful they need to provide more precise definitions so that we can better interpret the information.

Mayor Brandon Johnson Claims Trump Is Intimidated by His Black Intellectual Prowess

End Wokeness is a Twitchy favorite, but we wish they would not pull an Aaron Rupar and give us the full context of a clip. We’d like to know in exactly what “petite and purile terms” President Donald Trump was speaking to trigger Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who now enjoys an approval rating of 6.6 percent compared to Trump’s 45.9 percent.

We checked Google for news stories about a Johnson press conference in which he appreciated the press’s “begging,” but the best we could find was a Facebook post by a local news anchor. Christina Aguayo News reports that Johnson called Trump “one of the biggest threats to humanity that we have seen in an entire generation.”

Johnson also added that he’s been saying for the past couple of years that “the extreme right in this country wants a rematch of the Civil War.” The one started by Democrats?

Indian immigrants accused of running huge child sex ring out of Nebraska hotels…

If the allegations in this case out of Nebraska are true, this is one of the most disturbing examples of immigrant crime in recent memory, and it completely shatters the left’s fantasy narrative about these do-gooder immigrants. Dems love to pretend that every person crossing our border is some hardworking doctor, scientist, or dreamer with a heart of gold and that the idea of bad actors slipping through is just some “right-wing talking point.” But here we are again, with a horrifying case involving child sex trafficking and drugs, all allegedly orchestrated by an Indian immigrant family who used their hotel business as a front for horrific human misery.

Douglass Mackey:

If these allegations are correct, then the Chaudharis, an Indian immigrant family that owned hotels in Nebraska, were engaged in an operation to traffic underage children across the Southern border to work in their hotels as laborers and prostitutes (and for their own sexual gratification), an operation to traffic illegal immigrants to the state of Washington to secure IDs, and an operation to fraudulently secure U visas by staging fake crimes.

Some or all of these trafficked illegal immigrants appear to have come from India.

They also used their hotels as drug trafficking hubs.

Trump’s State Department Slams Romania’s Globalist Regime in Human Rights Report: Election Results Wiped, Democracy Under Attack

The latest human rights report from the U.S. State Department is turning heads—and not in a polite way.

Under President Donald Trump’s tough, no-nonsense foreign policy lens, the annual review reads less like a bureaucratic exercise and more like a direct call-out of Europe’s creeping authoritarianism. And right now, Romania’s globalist regime is sitting squarely in the hot seat.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, on December 6, 2024, Romania’s Constitutional Court made a stunning decision, annulling the results after insurgent populist candidate Călin Georgescu secured a first-round victory in what had been a fair contest for the presidency.

Officially, the court, well-known for its corruption, cited “multiple irregularities and violations of electoral law.” The U.S. State Department isn’t buying it, however. In unusually pointed language, the report called it what it was: political interference, a crackdown on voices the establishment doesn’t like, and a full-scale attack on the legitimacy of the vote.

The court claimed Russian disinformation on social media tainted the election. Independent analysts, however, see it differently. This “foreign meddling” story looks a lot like a cover for a domestic crackdown orchestrated by Romanian globalist elites who didn’t like the results. In other words, the Kremlin, as we’ve seen numerous times in the past, was a convenient scapegoat for a homegrown power grab.

And Romania isn’t alone. Trump’s State Department report flags a worrying trend across Europe. Germany, France, and the U.K. all get called out for restricting free speech and using increasingly authoritarian methods..

France is battling restrictions on expression alongside a rise in antisemitism, while Britain’s so-called Online Safety Act—sold as child protection—has become a censorship weapon, according to critics. The pattern is clear: the erosion of liberty isn’t happening in far-off dictatorships; it’s unfolding right in the heart of the so-called free West.

Romania’s inclusion in the report is particularly damning. Here’s a NATO front-line nation, supposedly a post-communist democratic success story, now demonstrating that election results can be erased by judicial fiat.

And the European Union’s reaction? Tepid at best—its usual “monitoring” and “expressing concern” routine, signaling to every globalist establishment creature in Bucharest that you can get away with gutting democracy.

Scrapping the election results wasn’t a minor bureaucratic hiccup. It was a direct assault on representative democracy. Tossing out results, of course, sends a dangerous message: your vote only counts if the globalist elite overlords approve. This is how public trust erodes and political fights turn into endless courtroom battles, or much worse.

Perhaps even more shocking is the silence from supposedly ‘democratic’ European institutions. In any functioning democracy, such an extraordinary move would trigger outrage: parliamentary investigations, constitutional scrutiny, international condemnation.

Human Rights Watch says Israeli airstrike on Iranian prison was an ‘apparent war crime’

Human Rights Watch alleged Thursday that an Israeli airstrike on a notorious Iranian prison was “an apparent war crime”, while also accusing Tehran of harming and disappearing prisoners after the attack.

Israel struck Evin Prison in Tehran, one of Iran’s most notorious detention facilities for political activists and dissidents, on June 23, during its 12-day war with the Islamic Republic.

The strikes during visiting hours hit Evin Prison’s main southern entrance, another northern entrance and other areas of the complex, destroying buildings that had medical facilities and prison wards.

The Iranian authorities initially said at least 71 people were killed during the airstrike, among them civilians including inmates, visiting relatives, and prison staff. Iranian media later raised that number to 80. It was unclear why Israel targeted the prison.

Human Rights Watch said the attack was “unlawfully indiscriminate” and that there was no evidence of an advance warning or a military target before striking the prison complex, which it estimates holds over 1,500 prisoners.

“To make matters worse, Israeli forces put at grave risk prisoners who were already victims of Iranian authorities’ brutal repression,” said Michael Page, the rights group’s deputy Middle East director.

The Fast-Approaching Digital Control Grid

Introduction

A digital control grid is an electronic network of digital telecommunication and information systems that allows individuals to be surveilled, tracked, and made subject to invasive controls applied to their financial transactions and resource use (such as electricity, food, water, transportation)—compromising, if not ending, all human rights and liberties. Control grids operate with significant data collection and AI to apply social credit systems that can be dictated on a highly centralized basis. A digital control grid ends financial freedom, replacing markets with technocracy—a system run by rules created and maintained centrally by “experts.”

Is the Trump Administration building a digital control grid? We provide the following checklist to assess the steps the Administration is (and is not) taking in a variety of areas to facilitate a rapid control grid build-out. We invite subscribers to post suggestions in the Comments section below.

The Big Picture

“Okay, let’s recap: REAL ID enforced; stablecoins incoming; mRNA Stargate project; TSA biometric overhaul; ICE using facial recognition; Palantir in 30+ federal agencies; Google/Amazon health data tracking; AI surveillance towers scanning highways. Surveillance State: engaged.”

Money

Summary: An all-digital currency and monetary system is essential to institute a digital control grid.

The GENIUS Act
There is support for legislation to create digital stablecoin infrastructure. Presumably, this can be used to create a programmable money system in both the U.S. and globally—in essence, a private CBDC.

More on the GENIUS Act (added July 18, 2025)
Exposing the Darkness Substack: Stablecoins “would likely eventually replace all cash, and would enable governments to freeze the accounts of anyone declared in violation of ‘lawful’ federal or state executive branch regulations, such as the vaccine mandates passed down in 2021 by [HHS]. Trump is doing the exact opposite of what he pledged…. He said he would ban CBDCs … but Stablecoins are in every important respect CBDCs.”

Armstrong Economics: “[E]ssentially, the government is turning the stablecoin into a digital dollar of sorts. The concern here is that this could delve into digitizing all currency and creating a CBDC. The act specifically provides the government with the authority to ‘block, freeze, and reject specific or impermissible transactions.’ This provision is not intended to protect the world against drug smugglers and thieves. This provision is intended to grant government unlimited control over how people spend stablecoins.”

Video appears to show Hamtramck councilmember dropping off stacks of ballots before primary election

Video obtained by Local 4 shows what appears to be a current Hamtramck councilmember dropping off stacks of absentee ballots at a city drop box days before the August primary election.

Michigan State Police confirmed the video is part of an ongoing investigation into the residency of two city council members.

The video captures two men in a black vehicle approaching the city’s official ballot drop box.

The passenger, identified by sources as current City Council Member Abu Musa, hands several large bundles of what appear to be absentee ballots to the driver, who then deposits them into the box.

This development comes as Musa, who received more than 1,129 votes in last week’s primary election, seeks reelection to the council.

Musa is also under investigation for not living in Hamtramck. He has denied the allegations.

The surveillance footage emerges one day after two other Hamtramck council members were arraigned on election fraud charges stemming from a 2023 investigation.

That case began when the city clerk noticed unusual patterns with absentee ballots, including large bundles being submitted at the same time with similar handwriting.

While Musa was named in the 2023 election fraud investigation, he was not charged in that case.
