‘Like a Scene Out of a Horror Movie’: Illegal Alien Arrested After Punching Mother in the Face and Savagely Biting and Trying to Eat Her Three-Year-Old Daughter’s Face in Unprovoked Texas Park Attack

An illegal alien from India has been arrested in San Antonio, Texas, after he emerged from the woods at Espada Park and randomly punched a mother in the face and began biting her three-year-old daughter’s face.

The mother described the unprovoked attack as being “like a scene out of a horror movie.”

The suspect, 24-year-old Atharva Vyas, was arrested on the scene Saturday afternoon after a brave bystander physically restrained him until San Antonio Police Department officers arrived.

According to police reports and court records, Vyas approached 27-year-old Gabriella Perez while she was at the park with her family.

Vyas grabbed her by the hair, punched her in the face, causing her to fall and drop her 3-year-old daughter.

The madman then jumped on the toddler and began biting her face, causing serious injuries, including the loss of two of her teeth and severe bite wounds to her face.

KSAT reports:

“He tried poking at (her) eyes with his thumb,” Perez said. “He hit me. He was a big man. I just remember laying there and looking for (her daughter) and I just see him on top trying to do the thumb.”

Perez said Vyas began biting her daughter’s face. She said it was like a scene out of a horror movie.

“I think when everyone was there, I got up and was like this is like a f—— zombie movie. Like what the heck,” Perez said.

Judge Overturns Firearms Prohibition on James O’Keefe After West Palm Beach Police Confiscate His Guns

A judge on Friday overturned the firearms prohibition on James O’Keefe after West Palm Beach Police confiscated his guns.

Last month James was served with a restraining order while he was livestreaming at his West Palm Beach, Florida, headquarters on Tuesday.

The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Deputy served James with a domestic violence restraining order.

The domestic violence restraining order was from Matthew Tyrmand, a former Project Veritas board member.

“Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department just served me with a domestic violence restraining order from Matthew Tyrmand. The former board member from Project Veritas who said he wants to murder me,” James O’Keefe said.

“Despite admitting multiple times on hidden camera wanting me dead, Matthew Tyrmand filed a restraining order against ME in Miami Dade County,” O’Keefe said.

“Saying such things as: “I would kill him [O’Keefe]. Because he is one of the most evil people I’ve ever known.,”” he said.

“He even shot up my book with rifle bullets through my heart on the cover. The audacity of evil has no bounds,” O’Keefe said.

James O’Keefe previously honey-trapped Matthew Tyrmand at a restaurant.

During the encounter in Miami Beach that was recorded by camera, Tyrmand ‘admitted’ to being an FBI-Southern District of New York (SDNY) informant.

It’s an Underreported Story, But Also a Glaring National Security Issue

Artificial intelligence is the next frontier, and there’s a glaring national security matter that must be addressed. We also can’t kick this can down the road, which is a hallmark characteristic of Congress. Our enemies are engaged in what could become the 21st-century arms race.

This issue sometimes leans into science fiction, but the entertainment has been excellent. The Terminator franchise and The Matrix both depict humanity’s destruction by artificial intelligence. For our purposes, Skynet nuking us is probably the closest to what could become reality, but right now, it’s about protecting this technology from our enemies. How do we do it when everyone here has the same foundation in this area? We cannot rely on the policy of détente here because of that.

Sen. Tim Sheehy (R-MT) told Townhall, “From the race for nuclear capability to the space race, the United States has consistently led the world by incentivizing innovation and investing in key infrastructure to achieve dominance. At a time when peer adversaries like China or non-state actors can leverage AI for their own ends, it’s critical we apply that same approach to not just lead but win the AI race in the 21st century.”

No doubt, but Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) said that legislative guardrails should be codified to ensure advancements are protected, and that we’ve got a long way to go.

“While the U.S. has made critical advances in AI, we still have a long way to go. I will continue to urge my colleagues to think years ahead as we work to remain the global leader in AI research and development, and that starts with ensuring a strong American AI tech stack,” Sen. Daines said.

Google is Tracking Your Life – Photo Cloud Feeding AI System

There was a time when your photo album sat in a drawer, private, personal, and disconnected from the outside world. Privacy no longer exists in the modern world as personal data will become the key tool of control, and now Google is taking the next step by turning your memories into fuel for artificial intelligence.

According to a recent report, Google has rolled out a major update to its Photos platform that allows its AI system, Gemini, to scan your entire photo library to build what it calls “Personal Intelligence.” What this means in plain English is that your images are no longer just stored, they are analyzed and integrated into a broader behavioral profile. Google openly admits the system can use actual images of you and your loved ones to generate AI content, eliminating the need for users to manually upload reference photos.

This is not a minor tweak to a photo app, but a structural shift in how data is harvested and understood, because every image you have ever taken now becomes part of a living model that attempts to understand who you are, who you associate with, where you go, and how you live your life. What was once private into something continuously processed and categorized.

The Left’s War on Comedy Is No Laughing Matter

If pure-hearted laughter is divine, the suppression of it is demonic. This could come to mind with our Left’s war on comedy, which really is happening. It also really is a campaign common to leftists.

Just ask USSR-born comedian Yakov Smirnoff, a man popular during the late Cold War period (the 1980s). As he quipped in an old Miller beer commercial, smiling, “In America, there’s plenty of lite beer and you can always find a party!”

“In Russia, the Party always finds you!”

He was joking, but not kidding. The Soviet Union practiced authoritarian censorship, and jokes had to be approved by a de facto “Department of Humor.” That was a colloquial name for a unit within the USSR’s Ministry of Culture. The latter’s job was to ensure the culture was communist.

And with socialism and communism gaining favor in the United States, so is their its penchant for suppressing good comedy. Writing about this Tuesday, commentator Armando Simon laments left-wing humorlessness. Citing Cuban dissident blogger Yoani Sánchez, he writes that she

stated that one of the things that first helped her to break through the indoctrination received at school of the cult of personality of Fidel Castro was her observation that Castro never joked, highly unusual for a Cuban.

Simon then continues:

We are in the midst of a Marxist upheaval going full throttle towards turning America into a Communist utopia. The symptoms are all there: self-censorship, censorship (aka “cancel culture”), political indoctrination of the military, indoctrination in the schools, network news deliberately becoming propaganda outlets, Balkanizing the population, etc.

Another symptom is the slow strangulation of comics and comedy.

Comedians are complaining of the toxic air that is stifling comedy. “Cancel culture” is being waged by insufferable, self-righteous fanatics always lurking in the background, ready to pounce on the slightest transgression. Cancel culture has gone after comics because of the hypersensibility of the chronically offended — in other words, the leftists. It is a type of censorship. Some of the people who partake of the cancel culture also do so for the sheer exercise of power at ruining other people’s lives and livelihood, amazed that it is so easy to do nowadays. The range of punishment varies. Just ask Andrew Dice Clay and Dave Chapelle.

Connecticut House Passes Controversial Gun Control Bill

Glocks are the most popular handguns in the country. They’re preferred by law enforcement, and a lot of people expected them to beat out the Sig P320 to become the new military sidearm. That didn’t happen, but they’re all over the place.

However, a lot of states are trying to ban them, including Connecticut, and not because of anything Glock has done.

Oh no, you see, the problem isn’t that Glock did anything wrong, but that a third party developed something, different third parties make and/or sell them, and so Glock is somehow responsible for all of that.

I’m talking about the so-called Glock switch, or auto sear, full-auto switch, or whatever you want to call it.

And the House in Connecticut just passed a bill that would ban these popular handguns.

A controversial gun bill has passed the House.

It includes a ban on a pistol that can be converted to fire more than 1,000 rounds per minute, converting it into a fully automatic weapon.

However, some people argue most gun owners are not using it that way.

The pistol is a Glock.

It is not the gun itself that is the problem. It is a small switch that when installed can turn the gun into a fully automatic weapon.

Rep. Steve Stafstrom, D-Judiciary Committee chair, wants to ban the sale of the Glock style switches. They are going after the manufacturer to change the design so these switches cannot be used.

“We in Connecticut have shown over the last 15 years that we have been smart on crime, tough on guns. What that has done has cut our prison population in half, and also cut violent crime rate in half,” Stafstrom said.

This would only affect the sale of new guns starting Oct. 1. Anyone who already has one would be grandfathered in and allowed to keep it.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Demands Full Pardon for U.S. Special Forces Hero Prosecuted by DOJ for ‘Insider Trading’ on Maduro Raid – “Skewed Justice” While Congress Members Illegally Profit Every Single Day

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is demanding a full pardon for a U.S. Special Forces soldier now facing decades in prison after allegedly profiting from classified information tied to the takedown of Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro.

The soldier, identified as Gannon Ken Van Dyke, was indicted by the Department of Justice on Thursday.

According to the DOJ, Van Dyke, an active-duty Army soldier stationed at Fort Bragg, participated in the planning and execution of a covert mission dubbed “Operation Absolute Resolve,” which resulted in the capture of Maduro earlier this year.

Prosecutors allege that Van Dyke used his access to classified intelligence to place wagers on the prediction platform Polymarket, ultimately netting approximately $409,000 in profits.

Trump Floats Taxpayer-Funded Takeover of Spirit Airlines, Selling for Profit

President Donald Trump said on April 23 that a taxpayer-funded takeover of Spirit Airlines could be an option, with the intention of reselling it when oil prices fall.

The Florida-based airline is undergoing restructuring after filing for bankruptcy protection in August 2025.

Trump, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, said he was interested in the U.S. government bailing out Spirit, or buying it outright.

“We’d be getting it debt-free. They have some good aircraft and good assets, and when the prices of oil goes down, we’ll sell it for a profit,” Trump said.

“I’d love to be able to save those jobs. I’d love to be able to save an airline,” Trump said, adding that more airlines improves competition in the market.

Spirit said in March that it had been working to sell some planes and scale back operations to focus on its “strongest routes and markets,” including Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Detroit, Michigan; and the New York metropolitan area.

Marshall Huebner, a lawyer with Davis Polk who is representing Spirit, told a U.S. bankruptcy court hearing in New York this week that government financing would make Spirit more competitive.

Creditors Notified of Deal

Huebner said details of a potential deal had been shared with all three of the company’s primary creditor groups.

The airline that became Spirit was launched in the 1980s, but rebranded in 1992.

“It all started with our launch as Charter One, flying Guests from Detroit to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and the Bahamas,” the company says on its website. “When we rebranded as Spirit Airlines, we doubled down on our mission: bringing more guests to more places for more fun.”

Ultra-low-cost airlines have been under pressure for years as they traditionally attract budget-conscious travelers with low base fares, but the rise in oil prices is eroding margins and increasing losses.

Earlier this week, for example, German airline Lufthansa announced that 20,000 short-haul flights would be canceled this summer because of the ongoing fuel crisis sparked by the Iran war and subsequent blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global oil shipments.

On April 21, Trump urged for someone to buy Spirit and said federal assistance may be available.

“I’d love somebody to buy Spirit—it’s 14,000 jobs,“ he said. ”Maybe the federal government should help that one out.”

In 2024, the Biden administration, citing antitrust laws, prevented JetBlue Airways from buying Spirit for $3.8 billion.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy told CBS News this week he had concerns about a Spirit Airlines bailout.

“The question will be does the federal government step in and bail out an airline that for a very long time hasn’t been run well,” Duffy said.

He said he was unsure whether Spirit could be saved and “made viable” and was concerned that taxpayers’ money could end up in a company that would eventually be liquidated.

But Trump said he had “a smart person” in mind who could potentially run Spirit and get it back on solid a financial footing.

Katie Porter Cries ‘Racism’ When Asked If Truck Drivers Should Speak English

Democrat Katie Porter, who is running for Governor of California, made it clear in the Democrat debate this week that she puts illegals above the safety of Americans.

The dangerous, and unfortunately often deadly, consequences of illegals with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) many of who can not speak English or read road signs.

Safety experts estimate that as many as 130,000 illegal-alien truck drivers may be operating in the United States, with tens of thousands believed to have obtained licenses through illegitimate means.

In November 2025, California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) confessed to illegally handing out 17,000 non-domiciled CDLs to dangerous foreign drivers who have no business operating massive semitrucks or school buses on American roads.

According to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean P. Duffy, the discovery came as part of an ongoing audit by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

According to the Department of Transportation, each of the 17,000 non-domiciled CDL holders has been issued notice that their license will expire within 60 days, as it no longer meets federal requirements.

During the debate, Porter was asked, “Do you believe that English proficiency, uh, language proficiency, should be strictly enforced for truck drivers? You have 60 seconds.”

Porter responded, “I would absolutely fight the Trump administration because the job of the California governor is to protect Californians, and right now that includes protecting them from Donald Trump. Protecting Californians also includes enforcing traffic laws, and we’ve seen sometimes a need for oversight in California.”

“For example, We have seen that the Department of Motor Vehicles was not enforcing rules around DUIs and drivers who had convictions for that.”

Porter,  responding to an answer from fellow Democrat candidate Chad Bianco, then pulled the race card.  Questioning the safety of illegal drivers is ‘racism.’

“I am stunned that Mr. Bianco would say to Black and Brown Californians and immigrants who are being terrorized and racially profiled that you have to get over racism. It’s not something that you get over. It’s something that you fight. And if he doesn’t understand the importance of that, he has no business representing a state with the diversity of California.”

Trump to Probe Banks Regarding Los Angeles Wildfire Response

U.S. President Donald Trump said on April 23 that his administration will look into banks’ handling of payments and debts in the aftermath of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires.

Two Los Angeles-area communities were devastated by wildfires in January 2025. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reported that the Palisades fire caused 12 deaths, destroyed 6,845 structures, and damaged 975 more. The nearby Eaton fire, which ignited in Altadena on Jan. 7, 2025, claimed 19 lives. Combined, the fires have claimed 31 lives and destroyed more than 16,000 structures.

Last month, Trump said State Farm and other insurers should “get their act together,” following a meeting with California politicians.

Trump met with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger on Thursday and said he is now turning his attention to banks.

“Since my strong action and statements with respect to Insurance Companies, and the way they were treating the Home Owners, that aspect of this Disaster has proceeded well — Big progress has been made, and those Companies are ’stepping up to the plate,’ as they should be,” Trump said in a 23 April post on Truth Social.

“The Banks, however, have a long way to go, and we will be looking into their actions, effective immediately. Wells Fargo, in particular, has been very difficult to deal with. The Banks must treat those people, who so horribly lost their Homes in this tragic fire, very fairly and well. I will be working with the Mayor, Supervisor, and everyone else to help this tragic situation go smoothly.”

A Wells Fargo spokeswoman told The Epoch Times via email that the company did not have a comment to share.

In an April 23 joint statement, Bass and Barger said they had “a very positive discussion about FEMA and other rebuilding funds, as well as the support of the President to continue joining us in pressuring the insurance companies to pay what they owe – and for the big banks to step up to ease the financial pressure on LA families.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said in January 2025 that five major lenders, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, U.S. Bank, and Citigroup, would grant 90-day mortgage forbearance to homeowners in Los Angeles and Ventura fire zones. The relief included a pause in credit reporting and the potential for extended aid.

“After so much trauma, we hope this deal will provide thousands of survivors a measure of relief,” Newsom said at the time. “These financial protections will enable residents to concentrate on taking care of their immediate needs rather than worrying about paying their mortgage bills. I thank each of the financial institutions that are offering this help for Californians recovering from this catastrophic firestorm.”
