Matt Gaetz case gets more bizarre as extortion claim involves search for missing ex-FBI agent Robert Levinson

Details surrounding the claim by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., that he is the victim of an extortion plot involving allegations of a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old now portend to connect it to a search for an FBI agent who went missing in Iran 14 years ago.

According to documents obtained and reported by the Washington Examiner, Gaetz’s family was approached by former Air Force intelligence officer Bob Kent, who claimed that he had located former agent Robert Levinson, whose family presumed him to be dead. Kent reportedly sought a $25 million loan to fund an operation to rescue Levinson, and promised to help the congressman with legal woes in return.

“In exchange for the funds being arranged, and upon the release of Mr. Levinson, the team that delivers Mr. Levinson to the President of The United States shall strongly advocate that President Biden issue a Presidential Pardon, or instruct the Department of Justice to terminate any and all investigations involving Congressman Gaetz,” said the document Kent reportedly gave Gaetz’s father, which bore the heading “Project Homecoming.”

The document stated that Rep. Gaetz was “currently under investigation by the FBI for various public corruption and public integrity issues.” It goes on to allege that the FBI has learned of images of Gaetz in a “sexual orgy with underage prostitutes.”

The document reportedly calls for Gaetz’s father to place $25 million in a trust account of law firm Beggs & Land, bearing the name of Levinson family attorney anf former federal prosecutor David McGee.

Gaetz has denied any allegations of wrongdoing and claimed that he was the target of an extortion attempt folllowing a Tuesday New York Times report that said Gaetz is currently the subject of a federal sex trafficking investigation involving a then-17-year-old girl.

Amazon Used Sophisticated Social Media Disinfo Campaign to Attack Labor Advocates, Promote Jeff Bezos

The tech giant Amazon has been recruiting social media trolls to plant disinformation on social media in a sophisticated campaign that denigrated labor advocates and promoted globalist oligarch Jeff Bezos.

The program, codenamed “Veritas” by Amazon brass, was started in 2018 but became particularly influential during a recent labor dispute in Alabama. Amazon was using disinformation from the troll campaign to crush a unionization attempt in the state.

An internal document has been leaked detailing how the scheme was plotted by company executives.

“To address speculation and false assertions in social media and online forums about the quality of the FC [Fulfillment Center] associate experience, we are creating a new social team staffed with active, tenured FC employees, who will be empowered to respond in a polite—but blunt—way to every untruth. FC Ambassadors (‘FCA’) will respond to all posts and comments from customers, influencers (including policymakers), and media questioning the FC associate experience,” the document read.

The corporate-backed Twitter army has been particularly rude toward socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who has urged for Amazon workers to organize to gain additional benefits from the world’s richest and most powerful man.

“This job has never made me feel bad personally. If you have a job that makes you feel bad, you could leave,” said one Amazon troll regarding Sanders.

“Everyone should be able to enjoy the money they’ve earned/saved. It’s theirs. They should be able to do with it as they please. That includes Jeff Bezos,” another bought-off troll stated.

Over 100 fully vaccinated people contract COVID-19 in Washington state, officials say

Over 100 people in Washington state have tested positive for COVID-19 more than two weeks after becoming fully vaccinated against the disease, officials said.

The Washington State Department of Health is investigating reports of the so-called breakthrough cases, which it said are expected with any vaccine.

Out of the 1.2 million people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Washington, epidemiologists have reported evidence of 102 breakthrough cases in 18 counties since Feb. 1, representing less than 0.01% of all fully vaccinated individuals in the northwestern U.S. state. Most cases were patients who experienced only mild symptoms, if any, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Health.

Annual Canadian UFO Survey Finds Significant Increase in Sightings for 2020

A fascinating and exhaustive annual examination of UFO reports from Canada found that 2020 was a particularly active year for sightings with a whopping 46% increase in cases. Issued each year by ufologist Chris Rutkowski, the incredibly detailed survey culls “case data from known and active investigators and researchers in Canada” to provide a rather thorough picture of the past twelve months when it comes to the puzzling phenomenon. Remarkably, the project determined that there were a whopping 1,243 UFO sightings across Canada in 2020, making it the second busiest year in the three-decade-long history of the survey. The robust number of reports marks a reassuring rebound from 2019’s total which was one of the lowest on record.

As one may have surmised, the coronavirus pandemic is suspected of having played a hand in the dramatic increase in UFO reports as, the report explains, sightings “surged significantly” in the first quarter of 2020 and then again in the spring as many residents were largely stuck inside their homes with little to do but look up at the sky and wonder when the slowly unfolding nightmare would end. Another possible factor in the uptick, the survey notes, is the emergence of the Starlink satellite constellations in the skies over Canada as that controversial program has been blamed for countless cases of misidentification from bewildered witnesses thinking that they’ve seen a UFO.

A feast of data for UFO enthusiasts, the report indicated that 60% of the sightings consisted of “simple lights in the sky,” while the remainder ran the gamut and included “triangles, spheres, and boomerangs.” After examining each of the cases collected over the past year, the survey posited that approximately 13% of the sightings could be classified as unexplained and includes an excellent appendix that details those ‘high quality’ reports. Additionally, it found that the “UFO represent all age groups and racial origin” and came from a variety of vocations including pilots, police officers, and “other individuals with reasonably good observing capabilities and good judgement.”

Facebook says even content “in the voice of Donald Trump” is banned, deletes major interview

Facebook removed a video interview of President Trump with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, a Fox News contributor. The social media company said that any content representing the “voice” of Donald Trump will not be allowed on Facebook’s main platform and Instagram.

On Tuesday, Lara uploaded a photo on Instagram of her sitting across from the former president, calling on followers to watch the interview that night.

Shortly after posting the image, a Facebook staff sent Trump officials an email warning that content “in the voice of President Trump is not currently allowed on our platforms (including new posts with President Trump speaking).”

The email further warned that such content “will be removed if posted, resulting in additional limitations on accounts that posted it.”

Cannabis compound inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication in human lung cells

Researchers in the United States have conducted a study showing that a cannabis plant compound inhibited infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in human lung cells.

SARS-CoV-2 is the agent responsible for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic that continues to sweep the globe posing a threat to global public health and the worldwide economy.

Marsha Rosner from the University of Chicago in Illinois and colleagues found that cannabidiol (CBD) and its metabolite 7-OH-CBD potently blocked SARS-CoV-2 replication in lung epithelial cells.

The CBD inhibited viral gene expression and reversed many of the effects the virus has on host gene transcription.

The compound also induced the expression of interferons – cell signaling proteins that are produced by host cells as an early response to viral invasion.

Furthermore, the incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection was up to an order of magnitude lower in a cohort of patients who had been taking CBD, compared with matched patients who had not been taking CBD.

UK Police Chief Brags That COVID Patrols Aren’t Necessary Because There Are So Many Snitches

A police chief in the UK says his force doesn’t need to carry out COVID patrols because they are getting flooded with so many calls from the public reporting other people for visiting the beach.

Overnight stays in locations other than a person’s primary address are not permitted until April 12, but a recent mini-heat wave prompted crowds of beachgoers to enjoy some rare March sunshine, as well as others who made trips to visit second homes.

This didn’t go down well in Dorset, where locals took the opportunity to grass people up to the authorities for allegedly violating lockdown rules.

In fact, the snitches were so enthusiastic that according to James Vaughan, the chief constable of Dorset Police, they’re now basically acting as an auxiliary arm of the cops.

“We are still getting around 400 reports a week from the public, so we will respond to reports,” said Vaughan. “We won’t need to be doing hotspot patrols [around holiday parks] because people are very quick to pick the phone up and tell us.”

“So if people try and come down and stay in their second homes before April 12, then we are going to hear about it,” he added.

Vaughan acknowledged that it’s not even illegal for people to visit their second homes, but suggested police may investigate it anyway.
