Kamala Harris’ new $8M mansion is in a neighborhood with virtually no black residents

Despite a career-long commitment to combating racial disparities in housing and touting the importance of living among Black people, former Vice President Kamala Harris’ new California mansion is situated in a neighborhood with virtually no racial diversity.

Harris’ new 4,000-square-foot property, which reports indicate she acquired for $8.15 million, is located in the exclusive seaside community of Point Dume and includes ocean views, multiple wine fridges, private golf greens and enough parking to accommodate five vehicles.

Point Dume is situated entirely within Census tract 8004.08, which the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey estimated was just 0.2% Black and roughly 94% White as of 2019.

Harris’ choice of neighborhood may surprise longtime observers given past comments she has made about the importance of living among other Black Americans.

“When you’re at (a historically Black college or university), and especially one with the size and with the history of Howard University — and also in the context of also being in D.C., which was known forever as being ‘Chocolate City’ — it just becomes about you understanding that there is a whole world of people who are like you,” Harris told a Washington Post reporter in 2019, reflecting on her experience growing up in primarily White social circles then attending a historically Black college in a predominantly African American city.

The Death Count Trap: Why Tallying Victims Won’t Stop Israel’s Genocide

The words ‘killed’, ‘injured’, ‘maimed’, and the like often lose a great part of their meaning when they are repeated so relentlessly.

Take, for example, a headline like: “13 Palestinians Killed in Gaza, Others Wounded.” Though many of us can still feel a deep sense of sadness over such a tragedy, the news itself becomes less shocking over time.

According to figures produced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israel has killed and wounded a total of over 250,000 Palestinians since the start of the genocide in 2023.

The tally is updated daily because the killing never stops.

On July 23, six Palestinians were killed in Gaza. A day earlier, 13 were killed, and the day before that, nine others were killed, and so on.

It is this “and so on” that makes us lose our sense, over time, of what these tragedies actually entail. These are innocent people who are burned alive in their tents, bombed in their cars, or killed while attempting to enjoy a brief moment of respite from the scorching heat on the beach.

Among the nine killed on July 21, an entire family, including four young children, was wiped out in a single strike. As reports of Israel’s daily harvest of Palestinian lives in Gaza multiply, journalists too often neglect to humanize those killed.

A photo circulating on social media showed three of those children: a boy wearing a T-shirt that read ‘Santa Monica Beach’; his bespectacled sister in a pink shirt, proudly holding a certificate of achievement from her school; and their youngest sister, posing gently.

These three represent every single Palestinian child killed since the start of this genocide. According to UN and international estimates, over 21,000 children have been killed in Gaza, with tens of thousands more maimed or buried under the rubble.

Though the daily routine of killing makes the tragedy feel less shocking for those merely hearing the numbers, it becomes infinitely more tragic for those who must bear it directly. In Gaza, not a single family has been spared the loss of loved ones, making the grief compound day after day.

There are no words to describe the collective pain of Gaza.

What makes the tragedy even more unbearable is that the entire world knows what has transpired and continues to transpire in Gaza, yet fails to do anything about it. We keep track of the numbers, we point to Israel’s barbarity, we decry the failure of international institutions, and we shake our heads in despair.

Yet the outcome remains unchanged: the death toll rises, and new statistics are generated daily to remind us of the magnitude of the crisis.

MFA Was Supposed to Save Us. Hackers Found a Way Around Human Nature Instead.

For years, cybersecurity experts preached the same gospel. Use a strong password. Don’t reuse it. Turn on multi-factor authentication. The public eventually listened. Banks encouraged it. Social media platforms required it. Employers rolled it out. Even people who still struggle to find the right app on their phone learned that approving a login request was simply part of modern life.

Then the criminals adapted. One of the biggest cybersecurity stories this month revealed an uncomfortable truth about today’s online threats. Hackers are increasingly abandoning attempts to break multi-factor authentication. Instead, they’re simply waiting for people to complete it for them.

It’s a remarkably effective scam because it exploits something technology has never been very good at defending: human trust. The fake login page looks real. The text message appears legitimate. The authentication request pops up exactly as users expect. The victim enters their password, approves the prompt, and unknowingly grants attackers full access.

The security worked perfectly. The person didn’t. That’s why this latest wave of attacks should concern everyone, not just IT departments.

America is still catching up to cybersecurity basics while cybercriminals are already operating several chapters ahead. Millions of people only recently became comfortable using MFA. They don’t necessarily understand what it’s doing. They simply know they’ve been told it’s safer.

That knowledge gap has become an opportunity. Older Americans have become especially attractive targets. They bank online, manage retirement accounts digitally, schedule doctor appointments through patient portals, and increasingly rely on smartphones for everyday life. Many learned these habits out of necessity rather than curiosity, making them more vulnerable to sophisticated social engineering attacks designed to look routine.

Criminals know exactly who they’re looking for. This is no longer the stereotype of a teenager in a basement writing viruses for fun. Today’s cybercrime industry operates like a multinational business. It studies psychology, customer behavior, and user habits with the same precision legitimate companies use to improve marketing campaigns.

The objective isn’t always to outsmart the software. It’s to outsmart the person sitting behind the keyboard. Even Washington is acknowledging the stakes are getting higher. The Trump administration recently announced a new initiative to aggressively identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities tied to artificial intelligence before hostile actors can exploit them. If the federal government believes emerging technology demands an entirely new level of vigilance, it’s hard to argue that everyday consumers are somehow insulated from the same risks. If anything, they’re more exposed.

Report: Maine Democrat Troy Jackson, Longtime Partner Are Second Cousins with 2 Children

Maine Democrat U.S. Senate nominee Troy Jackson and his longtime partner are second cousins who share two children, according to reports published Thursday.

The Maine Wire reported that Jackson, the former Maine Senate president tapped last week to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins, and his longtime partner are related by blood. The outlet said the two are second cousins and have two children together.

Robinson identified the partner as Lana Pelletier. He reported that she and Jackson share a set of great-grandparents, citing genealogical records. Both are from Allagash, a small town in Aroostook County. The two have never legally married, and Maine does not recognize common-law marriage.

The relationship could carry consequences for how Jackson reports his finances. Under Senate rules, candidates and members must file detailed disclosures covering their own income, assets, and liabilities, along with those of a spouse. Because Jackson and Pelletier never wed, it is not clear whether his disclosures would have to account for her finances the way Collins’ filings account for her husband.

Townhall’s Matt Vespa, aggregating the reporting, noted that Jackson had not filed a Senate financial disclosure or requested an extension as of this week.

The Bangor Daily News reported that he paid roughly $4,600 in late state income taxes last year after a tax lien over debt dating back to 2020. A Republican lawmaker filed an ethics complaint in 2023 alleging Jackson misrepresented his residency after buying a home in Augusta while continuing to list Allagash as his residence on legislative filings.

Older official bios have referred to Pelletier as Jackson’s wife. His current campaign materials describe her as his partner.

Jackson won the Democrat nomination Saturday, securing 566 delegates at the party’s convention in Bangor. He replaced Graham Platner, who exited the race this month after a former girlfriend accused him of sexual assault, an allegation Platner denied. Jackson also faced scrutiny earlier this month over a report that he berated women lawmakers during his time leading the Maine Senate.

Jackson has not publicly addressed the reported relationship.

What Fauci’s Diary Reveals About America’s Health Care Apparatus

Yesterday, a rather contentious hearing occurred where Fauci was subpoenaed by the Senate to testify over what happened during COVID, which was immediately preceded by the private diaries (which HHS Secretary RFK Jr. team found sequestered on government HHS servers) being released to the public.

The hearing (after opening statements), began with Fauci giving a statement claiming he had been a dutiful servant helping the government for decades, that he was facing a malicious prosecution that put science itself at risk, and that he would be invoking his 5th amendment rights. Following this, Democrat members of the committee repeated this message, while Republican senators gave scathing criticisms of his conduct throughout the pandemic (eclipsing everything we’ve seen thus far), and Fauci, over a hundred times, in response to each question stating:

On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.

While the focus of this hearing was largely directed at the scathing statements made toward Fauci (and his refusal to respond to or even acknowledge them), it was also apparent that many of the questions were designed to set up a future prosecution, and that Fauci’s allies gave speeches but never asked him a single question. This suggests the primary focus of both sides was executing a legal strategy each had worked out beforehand.

Note: there are widespread questions about the legitimacy of Fauci’s presidential pardon, which covers all of his federal actions between 1/1/2014 and 1/19/2025, given existing legal precedent that a pardon can negate one’s ability to invoke the Fifth Amendment’s protection against self-incrimination. Multiple Republican senators pressed this contradiction (that Fauci either does not have a valid pardon or is willfully committing contempt) and it will likely be an issue that plays out in the courts, especially if the committee votes to hold him in contempt.

Given all of this, there were a few noteworthy things about the hearing and Fauci’s diary I felt merited discussion.

Savannah Mayor Van Johnson’s Animal Farm – Pushes Globalist Flock Line…’It’s For Your Safety’

We are all well aware of Savannah Mayor Van Johnson’s refusal to deal with the homeless problem in Savannah, going so far as to defy state law.

It is increasingly obvious that Johnson is simply another globalist puppet installed to enact the globalist agenda of surveillance, high crime, and societal destruction.

Johnson’s comments on the Flock Safety cameras installed throughout the city are just the latest example of this reality.

“On one end you can’t say, you know, ‘Keep us safe, do everything that you can to keep us safe,’ and on the other hand say, ‘But wait, we don’t want these cameras,’” Johnson said. “We’ve got cameras outside, we’ve got cameras of people walking up and down the street, you have cameras when you go into the airport, you have cameras when you walk into the stores, I mean, you know, public safety comes at a cost.”

Excuse us Mayor Johnson, but public safety should not come via a violation of our Constitutional rights.

We have questions for the Mayor.

  • Did you ask the citizens of Savannah if it was ok with them if you installed surveillance cameras throughout the city to track their movement?
  • Have you disclosed to the citizens of Savannah the full extent of the capabilities of the cameras, including blue tooth, audio, and phone surveillance?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Russia Pounds Ukrainian Cities Overnight — Eight Dead, Dozens Wounded As Missiles And Drones Strike Residential Areas

Russia launched another overnight barrage of missiles and drones against Ukrainian cities Thursday, killing at least eight people and wounding dozens of others, according to Ukrainian officials. The strikes hit residential areas across multiple regions, continuing Moscow’s pattern of sustained pressure on civilian infrastructure as ground fighting grinds on in the east.

In a notable Ukrainian counterpunch, the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian Buk-M3 air defense system in occupied Snizhne — roughly 98 kilometers from the front line — and hit a drone storage and launch site in occupied Donetsk City. The Buk-M3 is one of Russia’s more capable medium-range air defense systems; its destruction, if confirmed, degrades Russia’s ability to intercept Ukrainian drone swarms over occupied territory.

Ukraine also struck a Russian oil refinery and a Wildberries logistics facility in Volgograd, deep inside Russian territory. The Volgograd strike is part of Ukraine’s sustained campaign against Russian economic and industrial targets — a strategy aimed at raising the domestic cost of the war for Russian civilians and disrupting supply chains that feed the front.

On the ground, Russian forces have reportedly completed their seizure of Hulyaipole, a town in Zaporizhzhia Oblast that has been contested for months.

The broader diplomatic picture remains frozen. Zelensky met with Trump in Washington earlier this week, with discussions focused on strengthening Ukrainian air defenses. No breakthrough on a ceasefire framework was reported. Putin, for his part, has been publicly projecting confidence about battlefield awareness as Moscow continues to take territory in Donbass which the Ukrainian military cannot stop.

President Trump hedged on providing Ukraine licenses to manufacture Patriot interceptor missiles in Ukraine.

Sources close to the situation tell CDM that Trump is looking for a way to exit the war and bring it to a close.

The overnight strikes underscore the unchanged strategic reality: Russia continues to use long-range strikes to destroy military infrastructure, while Ukrainian forces pursue a parallel strategy of hitting Russian military assets and economic infrastructure wherever they can reach. Neither side is close to a negotiated end.

Spain Deploys Military To Chaotic Ceuta as the Enclave Is Completely Overrun by Migrant Invaders – Morocco Reportedly Agrees To Take the Illegals Back

The invasion of Europe is not a metaphor, as the whole world can see.

We have been reporting here on TGP on the absolute catastrophe that is ongoing in the North African Spanish enclave of Ceuta, where tens of thousands of military-age male migrants from Morocco and Algeria have invaded the town.

After local authorities lost control of the situation, Spain is deploying its military in a ‘major security response’.

Officials have confirmed that at least nine people died during the crossings.

Fox News reported:

“The Spanish government said the Armed Forces will support the Civil Guard in restoring order after local officials warned the city could no longer handle the influx. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska are expected to visit Ceuta as Madrid scrambles to contain the crisis.

[…] ‘The situation is absolute chaos’, Rachid Sbihi, who heads an association representing Spain’s Civil Guard officers in Ceuta, told The Associated Press. ‘It’s not possible to give precise numbers, but there are thousands of migrants crossing’.

[…] Authorities have not identified a single cause for the sudden surge, though Ceuta officials have pointed to a recent Spanish Supreme Court ruling that limits the immediate return of migrants who arrive by sea without due process. Some migration advocates, however, questioned whether the ruling alone could explain the dramatic increase, arguing many migrants would likely have been unaware of the decision.”

Flashback: The Amazon Wildfire Crisis That Never Was

Given the current hysteria about wildfires on the continent – hysteria which is refuted by data – we thought this would be a good time to remind everyone they’ve done this exact thing before.

It’s the summer of 2019, the Amazon’s regular wildfire season is underway, and for some reason it’s all anyone is talking about.

“The Earth’s lungs are on fire!”, that’s the line. Everyone from Obama down is lamenting the damage and wishing we’d done more about climate change sooner.

Full on South Park “we didn’t listen!” mode.

Just one problem – It was actually a below average year for forest fires in the Amazon, at least according to NASA data.

And the conversation was being muddied by people sharing misattributed photographs, and contrived or misleading statistics.

But when rational people point this out to try and calm the growing hysteria, they are shouted down and called names.

…and then the NASA data was changed to cover up the discrepancy.

It’s an interesting little time capsule, and microcosm of the model that would take hold of the entire world when Covid landed just six months later.

And it’s exactly what they’re doing right now in Europe.

Socialist Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson FIRES Police Chief Shon Barnes Days After He Went Missing in Action During Deadly Bite of Seattle Festival Mass Shooting

Seattle’s far-left Mayor Katie Wilson reportedly fired Police Chief Shon Barnes on Wednesday night, just days after a deadly mass shooting rocked the city and triggered fierce scrutiny of City Hall’s disastrous response.

According to five sources who spoke to FOX 13 Seattle, Barnes began texting people Wednesday evening about his dismissal.

He had been scheduled for one-on-one media interviews that afternoon, but those were abruptly canceled. Barnes appeared at a silent vigil for the victims around 6:30 p.m., placed flowers, then left abruptly for a meeting with the mayor, after which he was told to resign.

According to KIRO Newsradio, Barnes reportedly refused to resign.

Investigative journalist Brandi Kruse reported that, according to her sources, Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes has been told to resign or be fired and could be out as early as Thursday, while officers reportedly describe City Hall as being in “absolute, rudderless chaos.”
