Guests forced to delete photos and videos of maskless Obama at boozy birthday party

Despite COVID-19 cases soaring in recent weeks, due much in part to the highly contagious delta variant that has the U.S. averaging over 100,000 new cases per day, former President Barack Obama went forward with his celebrity-laden birthday party in Massachusetts on Saturday. A few photos and videos were leaked out to the public from the swanky soirée, which show a maskless Obama dancing with his guests, who also did not wear face coverings.

Obama’s birthday bash was held in massive tents on his spacious estate in Martha’s Vineyard in Dukes County, which was designated as a “high transmission” area for COVID-19 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. High transmission communities fall under the CDC’s updated guidance recommending that masks be worn indoors, even by people who are fully vaccinated.

Singer Erykah Badu was performing at the former president’s 60th birthday party, but managed to record a video of maskless Obama dancing with a woman and other attendees who were not wearing face coverings. Badu uploaded the video to Instagram, but then quickly deleted it. But she didn’t manage to delete it quick enough and the footage was shared online.

Jennifer Aniston Rips ‘Anti-Vaxxers,’ Says They Have ‘Moral’ Duty To Identify Themselves

Actress Jennifer Aniston recently said people who are not yet vaccinated against COVID-19 “just don’t listen to facts” and mostly base their opinions on “fear or propaganda” and revealed that she’s cut ties with the unvaccinated.

Taking it a step further, Aniston said that it’s a “moral and professional obligation” for the unvaccinated to identify themselves in public settings.

“There’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts. It’s a real shame,” the former “Friends” actress told InStyle. “I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate.”

Climate Virtue-Signalers Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez Have No Problem Riding Around On A $130M Yacht

Actor Ben Affleck and pop star Jennifer Lopez, who have continually been climate-change talking heads, are enjoying a vacation on a massive $130 million yacht in Europe in the ultimate display of celebrity hypocrisy.

Affleck and Lopez recently got back together after about 20 years of being broken up, as The Federalist’s Madeline Osburn and Emily Jashinsky analyzed recently. Both celebrities have joined environmental campaigns in the past.

Still, Affleck and Lopez had no problem taking a lavish yacht — which emits carbon, since it runs on fuel — to Capri, Nerano, St. Tropez, and more for Lopez’s birthday.

The couple’s maritime adventure calls into question their commitment to fighting their perception of climate change. Several years ago, Affleck teamed up with his actor friend Matt Damon to make short videos “to raise awareness of climate change” and the need for “alternative fuel sources.” In 2016, Affleck also participated in a Funny or Die “Everyone Votes!” initiative that was also funded by NextGen Climate, an environmental nonprofit that creates advertisement campaigns.

“So if you give a sh-t about women’s rights, if you care about keeping the environment safe for future generations — ever hear of it? — if you care about people getting to piss in the f-ckin’ bathroom of their choice … then guess who’s got your back in this election?” the actor said.

Cancel Karma: 11 Hollywood Celebrities Who Have Been Eaten By Their Own

The woke cancel mob has developed a taste for its own kind — and at the top of the menu are left-wing Hollywood celebrities.

The recent cancellation of Chrissy Teigen, Billie Eilish, and Lin-Manuel Miranda shows that everyone is fair game now, even stars who have spent years building up left-wing credentials. Wokeness no longer discerns between right and left in its hunger to destroy everything it touches.

At least eleven Hollywood celebrities have seen their livelihoods come under attack from the cancel mob in recent months. The vast majority are left-wing or have expressed left-of-center views, which might have insulated them not so long ago but now offer no protection from the wrath of the woke.

Shaming Private Ryan

NPR, man. It used to be good, though liberal, until it was taken over by woke fanatics. Now NPR’s TV critic, Eric Deggans, is attacking Tom Hanks for not being woke enough. Deggans, who is black, praised Hanks for his recent op-ed about the Tulsa race massacre, and calling on Hollywood to tell more stories like it. But now Deggans wants Hanks to do penance for having made movies about white people. I kid you not. From Deggans’s essay:

[I]t’s wonderful that Hanks stepped forward to advocate for teaching about a race-based massacre – indirectly pushing back against all the hyperventilating about critical race theory that’s too often more about silencing such lessons on America’s darkest chapters.

But it is not enough.

After many years of speaking out about race and media in America, I know the toughest thing for some white Americans — especially those who consider themselves advocates against racism — is to admit how they were personally and specifically connected to the elevation of white culture over other cultures.

But in Hanks’ case, he is no average American. Or average Hollywood star, for that matter.

Over the years, he has starred in a lot of big movies about historical events, including Saving Private Ryan, Greyhound, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Bridge of Spies and News of the World. He has served as a producer or executive producer on even more films and TV shows based on American history, including Band of Brothers, The Pacific, John Adams and From the Earth to the Moon. He was an executive producer of documentaries such as The Assassination of President Kennedy and The Sixties on CNN.

In other words, he is a baby boomer star who has built a sizable part of his career on stories about American white men “doing the right thing.” He even played a former Confederate soldier in one of his latest films, News of the World, standing up for a blond, white girl who had been kidnapped and raised by a Native American tribe.

He’s not alone. Superstar director Steven Spielberg has a similar pedigree (notwithstanding occasional projects such as The Color Purple and Amistad). And fellow director Ron Howard. These stories of white Americans smashing the Nazi war machine or riding rockets into space are important. But they often leave out how Black soldiers returned home from fighting in World War II to find they weren’t allowed to use the GI Bill to secure home loans in certain neighborhoods or were cheated out of claiming benefits at all.

They don’t describe how Black people were excluded from participating in space missions as astronauts early in America’s space program. As the book and film Hidden Figures notes, even brilliant Black and female mathematicians faced discrimination in the space program during the 1950s and 1960s. If given better opportunities, perhaps they could have helped us get to the moon sooner, by putting our best minds on the problem, regardless of race.

Deggans is angry because these artists didn’t make the films he thought they should have made.
