These People Are Hiding Whom They’re Actually Voting For From Their Spouses And Family

Earlier this week, while stumping for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in a Detroit suburb, former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney made the case for Harris to suburban Republican and independent women.

At one point, she assured them that no one ― not your husband, not your family ― will know who you vote for.

“If you’re at all concerned, you can vote your conscience and not ever have to say a word to anybody,” Cheney said as she sat side by side with Harris. “And there will be millions of Republicans who do that on Nov. 5.”

That’s true: Whether or not you voted is public record, but how you voted in local, state or national elections is kept a secret; there’s no official way to search for how someone voted.

This election cycle is so heated and hyperpartisan, some people say they’re planning to do just what Cheney suggested: Hide whom they’re really voting for from their spouses and family.

Certainly, in worst-case scenarios, there are people in controlling or abusive relationships who have serious fears about how their spouse will respond if they vote for candidate A rather than the favored candidate B.

But most people we spoke to for this story said they’re voting their conscience while keeping it a secret ― or in some cases, outright lying ― just to avoid awkward or tense conversations in mixed political marriages or families.

That’s true for Avery, a 30-year-old veteran from eastern Florida, who’s voting for Harris this time rather than Trump. (Like others in this piece, Avery asked to use her first name only to protect her privacy.)

“As a veteran, I take great offense to the insurrection he incited on Jan. 6,” she said. “And with [Harris] and Tim Walz, I think they’re respectable, intelligent people and I agree with their policies. When I watch them speak, I don’t feel embarrassed for our country.”

She’s not letting her husband or his pro-Trump immigrant family know her voting plans, though, to avoid any unnecessary family drama.

Her Father’s Daughter: Donald Harris’ Hidden Influence on Kamala

“If there is any virtue in the writing of this book, it springs from the sacrifices knowingly or unknowingly made by my two daughters, Kamala and Maya,” Donald J. Harris wrote in 1977 when he was an economics professor at Stanford University. “In return, it is dedicated to them.”

The book, “Capital Accumulation and Income Distribution,” is a 313-page critique of capitalism and its allegedly inherent flaws, including “income inequality,” “cyclical disturbances,” and “exploitation” of workers. “Drawing upon certain elements of Marxian theory,” the preface says, Harris approvingly cites the socialist nostrums of Karl Marx and his partner Friedrich Engels – as well as Vladimir Lenin, the founder of communist Russia – to make his case for an “alternative” economic model in America.

Kamala Harris was 13 at the time. Five years later, she majored in economics at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she led an economics club founded in the name of black Marxist Abram Harris.

Such facts might be unexceptional but for the Harris campaign’s narrative that the presidential candidate has little to do with her father. A New York Times article reported this month that the two have “been estranged for years” and “seldom speak.” The Times even repeated rumors he was a no-show at the Democratic convention, another sign of their alleged “cold war.”

While the vagaries of family relationships are often complex and hidden from view, RealClearInvestigation’s examination of the six-decade relationship between father and daughter suggests they have been closer than the campaign lets on. While there is little evidence to support Donald Trump’s claim that Kamala Harris is a “Communist,” the record shows that Donald Harris’ left-wing views resonate with his daughter. In a campaign that has provided little policy discussion, her perspective also suggests how she might govern.

Despite her mother taking custody of the two daughters following a 1971 divorce, Kamala Harris echoes her father in both the egalitarian language he used, such as “social equity” and “income disparities,” and the progressive policies he advocated, including government-run health care and expansive government poverty programs.

The year before she first ran for president in 2019, her Jamaican-born father wrote an essay for a Jamaican publication in which he recounted instilling a “deep social awareness” in his oldest daughter. “Kamala was the first in line to have it planted,” Donald Harris wrote.

‘What Did He Even Mean by This?’: Tim Walz Sparks Outrage After Internet Hears What He Called Elon Musk

Tim Walz continues to light up the internet — for all the wrong reasons.

The Minnesota governor and Democratic vice presidential candidate has been in a proxy war with billionaire Elon Musk over Musk’s support for former President Donald Trump — Walz effectively called Musk a “dips*** last week, as Fox News reported.

And at a campaign stop in Detroit on Friday, he sparked a storm of social media responses after he appeared to imply that Musk, a father of 12, is homosexual — and Walz was clearly insulting Musk at the time…

Walz was in the process of talking about the economy when he turned the subject to tax cuts for billionaires like Musk.

“If you’re a billionaire, Elon Musk for example, say, that gah … , that gay got …” then he snickered.
“Michigan knows that word,” he said.

“Look, that dude got a tax cut and the rest of us got shafted on the whole deal,” he said.

Now, Walz almost certainly didn’t start out intending to call Musk “gay.” From the sound of the butchered sentence, he was trying to say “that guy got” and it came out as “that gay go…”

But his juvenile leering — along with the “Michigan knows that word” aside he tossed to the crowd — showed that once Walz committed the error, he also committed to going ahead with what he clearly meant as a slur. (To give Walz credit, he did switch the troublesome word to “dude.”)

Now, it’s safe to say that if Musk were gay, the world wouldn’t have needed Tim Walz to break the news. And it’s a damn good bet that he’s not.

Besides the dozen children he’s sired, the uber billionaire’s romantic life is the stuff of international tabloid fare (how many other guys have dated actress Amber Heard?), and it’s a better-than-even chance the news of any gay liaisons would have leaked long ago.

How the British Gov’t is Working to Elect Kamala

The British government’s chief of staff, head of communications, director of policy and director of strategy have allied with the Kamala campaign while the British government’s ruling Labour Party is working with the Democrats to send staffers to work for her in key swing states.

The ‘British invasion’ first began over the summer when top figures in the British government and the Labour party, including Prime Minister Starmer’s Chief of Staff and the heads of the Labour Party headed to the Democratic National Convention with a view, as one put it, to “ensuring we get on the right road to getting a second term”.

In October, the British Labour Party’s Head of Operations announced that nearly 100 Labour Party staffers were “heading to North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Virginia” as part of a campaign by ‘Labour for Kamala’.

The British Labour Party building a coordinated campaign operation with the Democrat Party and setting up operations in Pennsylvania and Virginia is an unprecedented level of foreign interference. Russians merely taking out Facebook ads led to widespread conspiracy theories, investigations and censorship by Democrats now actively courting foreign interference.

While both the Democrat Party and the British government have denied there was any official coordination, the Daily Telegraphrevealed that the ‘Labour for Kamala’ activists dispatched to work for Kamala’s election in swing states were to be housed bythe Democrat Party.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy, a close Obama ally, falsely claimed that the Labour party and its faltering government were taking no position on the American election, but they forgot to inform its Under-Secretary of State for Scotland who is hosting a ‘Come on Kamala’ Election Night party complete with ‘Labour for Kamala’ badges.

Griswold’s Office Pushes Back Against Trump Campaign’s Demand to Stop Colorado Mail Ballot Processing After Voting System Password Leak

President Donald Trump’s campaign issued a formal demand on Wednesday, calling on Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold (D) to temporarily cease processing mail-in ballots after her office reportedly leaked critical BIOS passwords online.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold’s website had published approximately 600 BIOS passwords for the election equipment in 63 out of 64 counties in Colorado.

The illegal exposure of the passwords was first caught in August of this year but believed to have been published as early as June, before the state’s primary election. And they weren’t removed until late October.

Griswold’s passwords were neither incomplete nor were all of them outdated. However, Griswold attempted to call the BIOS passwords “partial” because they were 1 of 2 passwords used by the system: one for the BIOS and one for the operating system.

The Trump campaign’s letter outlined urgent actions Griswold must take, including identifying impacted counties, notifying them of the breach, halting ballot processing, and implementing new Trusted Builds along with Logic and Accuracy Tests.

The campaign argued that a temporary halt is necessary to “guarantee that the election equipment in those counties is secure” and restore public trust in the integrity of Colorado’s voting systems.

In Huge Blow to GOP, Supreme Court Refuses to Block Counting of Provisional Ballots Incorrectly Filled Out in Pennsylvania

In a huge blow to the GOP, the US Supreme Court on Friday rejected an emergency application seeking to pause Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court ruling on provisional ballots.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) and Pennsylvanian GOP sough relief from the high court after state supreme court ruled 4-3 that provisional ballots that were incorrectly filled out or missing the ‘secrecy’ envelope.

Lawyers for the GOP argued that there is no identifying information on the provisional ballots once they are separated from the envelopes.

The Commonwealth’s state supreme court ruled that “provisional votes can be counted only after a person’s eligibility to vote and the rejection of their mail-in ballot are confirmed.” – Fox News reported.

“Counting Electors’ provisional ballots, when their mail ballots are void for failing to use a Secrecy Envelope, is a statutory right,” state Supreme Court Justice Christine Donohue wrote in the majority opinion, adding that the rule in question is “intended to alleviate potential disenfranchisement for eligible voters.” – Fox News reported.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz faced fierce criticism for putting sick COVID patients into nursing homes during the height of the pandemic — even doubling down on his decision when the facilities accounted for a staggering 81% of his state’s pandemic deaths.

Walz had other insane policies during COVID, but he never took any blame.

Walz also thought it was a good idea to shoot paintballs at citizens during COVID.

Walz also set up a COVID snitch hotline during COVID—the communist way.

I’m not prepared now to say whether it was or it wasn’t, but it is not helpful as we prepare for our election and as we try to make sure that we keep the peace at our polling places and in our state.”

Mayes’ spokesperson Richie Taylor confirmed to NBC News that an investigation has been launched.

“I don’t blame [Dick Cheney] for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual, very dumb,” Trump said of Liz Cheney.

Trump continued, “She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it. Let’s see how she feels about it when the guns are trained on her face You know, they’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, ‘oh gee let’s send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy.”
