China Eyes Iran’s Postwar Reconstruction In Bid To Lock Up Future Oil Supplies

Beijing is positioning itself to lead the post-war reconstruction effort in Tehran – a move analysts suggest could secure China long-term access to critical Iranian oil reserves.

The diplomatic groundwork was laid during a recent meeting in New Delhi between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and the deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, according to Nikkei Asia. The talks underscore China’s broader strategy to expand its economic and diplomatic footprint in the Middle East amid the vacuum left in the wake of one failed US regime change and occupation war after another.

According to the report, Wang signaled Beijing’s long-term commitment to the Islamic Republic in the wake of prior weeks of heavy US-Israeli bombing, stating that: “China will continue to provide assistance to Iran while supporting reconstruction and peacebuilding efforts in the region.”

To date, China’s official involvement has largely centered on humanitarian logistics – at least according to its public-facing narrative.

This includes an upcoming deployment of emergency medical supplies to Lebanon, following recent Israeli military strikes in the country. However, observers note that the transition from humanitarian relief to large-scale infrastructure development is a key mechanism for Beijing to solidify energy security.

Nikkei Asia has issued the following commentary on China’s long-term plans in the Middle East:

Some observers argue that the U.S.-Iran war has strengthened Beijing’s presence in the Middle East. Rumi Aoyama, a professor at Japan’s Waseda University specializing in Chinese diplomacy, called China a “central hub where information on the situation in the Middle East was concentrated.”

China has dialogue channels with both Washington and Tehran, and it enjoys friendly ties with mediator Pakistan as an arms supplier. The Iranian and Pakistani foreign ministers frequently visited China during negotiations on ending the war to report on the situation.

The Iran war may also have worked to Beijing’s advantage in its dealings with Washington. With the U.S. prioritizing that conflict, it has been forced to ease up its pressure on China with regard to security and trade.

Yet Beijing has still welcomed the memorandum of understanding toward ending the war because stability in the Middle East is crucial for its energy security. Higher fuel and material prices caused by the war have dealt a blow to the Chinese economy.

Tehran, facing severe economic devastation and isolation from Western markets, has welcomed the Chinese overtures. High-level Iranian officials have made it clear they view Beijing not merely as an investor, but as a strategic anchor – akin to how defense ties with Russia have rapidly improved.

New York Education Commissioner Orders New School Board Election After Investigation Finds Clerk Ripped Up Ballots to Rig Race

New York State Education Commissioner Betty Rosa has ordered a new school board election in the Hempstead Union Free School District on Long Island after an internal investigation found the district clerk destroyed ballots and smuggled them out of her office to help re-elect incumbent board president Victor Prett.

The original election took place on May 19. State officials overturned the results on Thursday after a petition filed by the district’s attorneys alleged serious irregularities.

According to the state’s review, District Clerk April Keys is accused of tearing up ballots and removing them from her office in an apparent effort to benefit Prett, a former school board president who also works as a local DJ performing under the name DJ Vic-Lover.

The investigation concluded that Keys’ actions compromised the integrity of the vote.

Hempstead school district officials had petitioned the state to annul the original results after uncovering evidence of tampering.

State Education Commissioner Betty Rosa accepted the findings and directed that a fresh election be conducted under strict oversight.

The state has appointed Neil Boyd, currently superintendent for the Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES, as temporary clerk to manage the revote.

UNPRECEDENTED: EU Parliament President Roberta Metsola Pushing Controversial Scanning of Online Content, Ignoring That EMPs Have Already Rejected the Idea Multiple Times

Another EU tyrant on the move.

Leave it to the EU to have a dizzying number of ‘chiefs’, signaling a bloated bureaucracy that has become more of a problem than a solution for the issues that European nations face.

Fasten up for the list: the European Commissioner (currently Ursula von der Leyen/VDL): a ‘member of the European Commission’s College responsible for overseeing one specific policy area (portfolio), such as trade, climate, or digital affairs.’

The President of the European Council (currently Antonio Costa): ‘Chairs summits of EU heads of state and government, drives consensus on the EU’s overall political direction and priorities, and ensures the EU’s external representation at that level’.

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (currently Kaja Kallas): ‘Leads and coordinates the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), chairs the Foreign Affairs Council, represents the EU on the world stage as its chief diplomat, and serves as a Vice-President of the European Commission’.

Hold on, that’s not all. President of the European Parliament (currently Roberta Metsola): ‘Chairs plenary sessions and key internal bodies, oversees the Parliament’s work and rules, signs adopted legislation, and represents the Parliament to other EU institutions and externally’.

‘The View’s Whoopi Goldberg Claims ‘No One Wants Voter ID Laws’ While 80 Percent of America Supports ID to Vote

The far-left hosts of ABC’s The View fretted over the “SAVE America Act,” claimed that “no one wants voter ID laws,” and even insisted that “half” of America would be prevented from voting if the bill was signed into law.

The conversation started with Whoopi Goldberg, who brought up President Trump’s decision to cancel his bill signing ceremony for the housing bill because he is pressuring congress to pass his favored “Save America Act.”

In part, the “SAVE America Act” would include several election reforms, including provisions for voter ID. The act has already been passed by the House and is currently under consideration in the U.S. Senate, but has faced road blocks by several left-leaning GOP senators.

In bringing up the “SAVE America Act,” Goldberg insisted, “He torpedoed the [housing] bill because he wants another bill signed. And it seems to me no one wants to sign this bill.”

The comedian and TV host does not seem to understand what “signing” a bill means. She said Trump wants another bill signed, but the president is the one who signs the bills in our system, not someone else. Then she says it seems to her “no one wants to sign this bill.” Again, it is Trump who does the signing not others. So, who this “no one” she is talking about is, is hard to figure.

In any case, her cohosts were happy to pile on to attack the “SAVE America Act” and to bash it as “oppression” of the vote.

War and Constitutional Indifference

Since its inception, the government of the United States has inexorably exceeded its powers under the Constitution. All three branches have been complicit in a consistent pattern of constitutional indifference.

Congress has regulated in areas of governance nowhere articulated in the Constitution. Its general regulatory powers were granted to address interstate commerce, but during the FDR years, the Supreme Court ruled that Congress can regulate events that affect interstate commerce. This has resulted in federal regulation of matters too infinitesimal to measure, that are not commercial and devoid of movement across interstate lines.

The most extreme of these is the regulation of a farmer’s small field of wheat, all of which was ground into flour and consumed as baked goods by the farmer’s family. Though this had no measurable effect on interstate commerce, the court ruled that if you add up all the similarly situated farmers who may do the same, the aggregate will affect interstate commerce. And, by growing their own wheat and baking their own bread, the farmer’s family was buying less bread from their local grocer and that — though truly infinitesimal — affected interstate commerce.

Once unleashed by this judicial frivolity, Congress recognized no real limits on its regulatory powers. When hosting a show on the Fox Business Network, I once invited nearly all my Fox Business colleagues on set and asked all on air if they could find anything in the studio that was not regulated by the feds.

The chairs on which we were seated? No, the feds regulate their leg length and the rollers on which the legs sit. The color of the walls? No, the feds regulate the pigment in the paint. The cameras used to video us? No, the feds regulate the lenses and the electricity used to power them.

To James Madison, who was the scrivener at the Constitutional Convention and who drafted the Commerce Clause, the word “regulate” in “to regulate Commerce… among the several States” meant “to keep regular.” Indeed, one of the main reasons for the elites’ displeasure with the old Articles of Confederation, and a significant impetus for the Constitution itself, was the effect on commerce of state tariffs and monopolies and their use to impede businesses from out of state.

This was the reason for granting Congress the power to keep commerce regular. But power corrupts, and keeping it regular led to regulating everything that affects it — the speed with which commercial goods moved, the ages and wages of those who worked to produce them, even the prices that could be charged. And the courts permitted all this, in defiance of the Constitution, which prohibits the feds from interfering with contracts without due process.

But all of this, as deleterious as it has been to personal liberty and limited government, takes a back seat to presidential extraconstitutional behavior. And that behavior is nowhere as manifest and harmful as war.

War is the health of the state because it induces fear among the people and thus their compliance, produces jingoistic patriotism and abject hatred of the persons in the country that is the object of war, facilitates vast borrowings in order to pay for the war, enriches elites, slaughters innocents and curtails the civil liberties — the natural rights — of those opposed to the war.

The object of war is, of course, to kill people in a foreign land. Hence the mandate of the Framers that this should not take place without a substantial nation-wide consensus in support of the killing. The Framers of the Constitution so feared wars on presidential whim that they made it clear that only Congress can declare war.

Yet, within months of taking office in 1797, President John Adams fought a war against France without a congressional declaration of war. This was unthinkable at the time, and in order to stifle domestic political dissent, he commenced a regrettable American tradition of silencing domestic opposition to foreign wars.

Sherrod Brown Took Nearly $4.9M from Wall Street-Affiliated and Billionaire Donors While Railing Against Them

Former Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), who is running for U.S. Senate in 2026 against Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH), has spent decades casting himself as a blue-collar populist, but donor data reviewed by Breitbart News shows he has taken at least $4,887,980 from donors affiliated with Wall Street, big banking institutions, investment firms, and billionaires throughout his political career

Brown has accused his opponent of taking money from “Wall Street” and “billionaires,” declared “Workers > Wall Street,” said “Wall Street does not believe in the dignity of work,” and claimed, “We continue to see the power Wall Street has over the political system.” He has also said that “making all Ohioans’ lives easier” is what he is “fighting for,” while saying his opponent is “fighting for billionaires” and arguing that Ohioans deserve a senator who fights for them, “not billionaires and special interests.”

A campaign donor list reviewed by Breitbart News includes liberal billionaires such as JB Pritzker, Tom Steyer, George Soros, Alex Soros, Steven Spielberg, James and Kathryn Murdoch, and George Lucas.

The list also includes wealthy donors from finance, investment, and broader business circles, including Henry Laufer, Marsha Laufer, Seth Klarman, Katharine Rayner, Stewart Resnick, Jonathan Tisch, Donald Sussman, and Penny Pritzker.

What’s Behind Skyrocketing Autism Rates — Better Diagnostics? Or an Avalanche of Toxins?

A new study in JAMA Psychiatry suggests rising rates of autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnoses are likely driven by broadening diagnostic criteria. But scientists at Children’s Health Defense said better diagnostics can’t on their own explain the steep increases in autism and ADHD rates since the 1990s.

Children’s Health Defense (CHD) scientists are pushing back against a study in JAMA Psychiatry suggesting that the global increase in autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnoses is likely driven by broadening diagnostic criteria.

Brian Hooker, Ph.D., CHD chief scientific officer, and Karl Jablonowski, Ph.D., CHD senior research scientist, criticized the authors of the JAMA study for failing to consider that environmental toxins might be driving the increase.

Hooker said the authors overlooked the possibility that there are now so many toxic exposures that it takes very little genetic susceptibility to trigger autism or ADHD. Changes in diagnostic criteria may be a factor, Hooker said, but there is no way that it explains the steep increase in autism and ADHD rates since the 1990s.

Hooker told The Defender:

“What we’re seeing instead is a lowering of the genetic threshold required to reach a toxic tipping point as the toxic load between 1994 and 2016 skyrocketed with the expanding vaccination schedule, acetaminophen use, the GMO [genetically modified organism] revolution, etc.”

The authors of the JAMA study analyzed data from over 37,000 individuals in Denmark diagnosed with autism or ADHD over two decades. They reported that genetic risks for the conditions decreased over time, while diagnoses increased.

The study concluded that since genetic risk didn’t explain the increase in autism and ADHD diagnoses, the global surge in diagnoses was likely because the criteria used for diagnosing the conditions had broadened.

The authors claimed that the diagnosis threshold for autism and ADHD had lowered over time, so that kids who showed only mild symptoms were now being diagnosed.

The researchers examined three hypotheses for why diagnosis rates have increased — none of which took into account environmental toxins.

First, they thought it possible that diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD may have broadened over time to include kids with milder symptoms.

Second, they thought maybe that psychiatric disorders that previously had been diagnosed as separate from autism or ADHD were getting lumped into autism or ADHD diagnoses.

Third, they speculated that there is now better detection of autism and ADHD than in the past.

Their data matched the first hypothesis but not the other two, they said.

Russian Media Reports Hackers Have Receipts Ukraine Has Lost 2.4 Million Dead In War

Ukraine has lost approximately 2.4 million soldiers since the start of Russia’s operation in Ukraine in 2022

Russian hackers PalachPro and the NoName057(16) group have breached databases belonging to the Ukrainian General Staff and Ukraines territorial recruitment centers (TCCs)

They also hacked Ukrainian medical institutions and morgues.

Citing leaked data, losses stood at 1.7 million by August 2025 and crossed 2 million by December. The first six months of 2026 alone reportedly cost Kiev around 400,000 men matching total losses for all of 2023. The heaviest casualties are concentrated on the Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) Konstantinovka Lyman Zaporozhye and Kupyansk axes averaging roughly 500 AFU losses per day on each.

Mash also reports that foreign mercenary deaths have stopped being logged as combat losses instead recorded as accidents. Per the leaked data around 5,000 foreign fighters serving with the AFU have been killed a number said to be rising as TCCs continue recruiting foreign nationals many of them Argentine and Brazilian nationals aged 20 to 23.

PalachPro and NoName057(16) are the same groups Mash credits with earlier deploying AI assisted facial recognition across roughly 50000 surveillance cameras in Ukraine and the EU.

Labour to free waves of killers and rapists early: Criminals guilty of the most serious offences will now be released just halfway through sentences

Labour is to start releasing waves of killers, rapists and violent criminals from jail under its controversial soft-justice plan.

As part of a scheme to free up prison space, even those jailed for more than a decade will get out early.

The plan will ‘horrify’ victims, Justice Secretary David Lammy was warned last night, amid calls for it to be halted immediately.

The Ministry of Justice release programme could mean hundreds of serious criminals being freed in large batches – potentially even on the same day – heightening police fears of a surge of offenders on the streets.

Ministers have set out a timetable that will see 6,000 prisoners walk free, starting in September.

Criminals handed sentences shorter than 18 months will be the first to be freed.

Releases will then ramp up month by month, depending on the length of sentences. Offenders handed more than 12 years in jail – some of the most dangerous criminals in the country – will start to be freed next June.

Tory spokesman Dr Kieran Mullan said: ‘Victims are going to feel like justice has been stolen from them by these plans. We aren’t talking about shoplifters or vandals.

‘We are talking about paedophiles, rapists and seriously violent criminals. Seeing them walk out of prison years early will horrify most victims, and the public as well. The whole programme needs to be stopped.’

Labour’s Sentencing Act, part of a long-term plan to reduce the prison population, allows early release for violent and sexual offenders after serving half their sentence, rather than the current two-thirds.

Other offenders could be freed after serving just a third of the punishment imposed by a court if they demonstrate good behaviour while in jail.

The early-release scheme means a killer jailed for 15 years for manslaughter would be freed after seven and a half years if they are assessed to have behaved well.

Murderers will not be considered because they are given a mandatory life term, with a minimum amount of years they must serve.

Ministers are braced for a backlash after a scheme introduced in autumn 2024 saw offenders celebrating at the prison gates by popping bottles of bubbly, driving away in luxury cars and thanking Keir Starmer.

Supreme Court ruling blocks thousands of lawsuits against maker of Roundup weedkiller

The Supreme Court sided with the maker of the Roundup weedkiller Thursday in a ruling expected to block thousands of lawsuits alleging it failed to warn people the product could cause cancer.

The case came before the justices after a tidal wave of litigation that included some multibillion-dollar verdicts against the global agrochemical manufacturer Bayer, which acquired Roundup when it bought its original manufacturer Monsanto in 2018.

The decision is a victory for the Trump administration, but one that could be tricky politically since allies in the Make America Healthy Again movement want to rein in pesticide use.

The high court, in a 7-2 ruling, found that the company can’t be sued in state courts because federal regulations have found a cancer link unlikely and do not require a warning label.

The decision “is good for science, farmers, and industries that depend on regulatory clarity for innovation,” Bayer said in a statement. “It should help significantly contain the Roundup litigation after nearly a decade of legal battles.”

Though Bayer said the ruling should result in the dismissal of pending lawsuits containing failure-to-warn allegations, the company said it plans to proceed with a proposed $7.25 billion class-action settlement intended to resolve many of the remaining claims.

Lawyers for some residents pursuing Roundup litigation criticized the court’s decision.

“This Supreme Court ruling wrongly slams the courthouse door on Americans sickened by pesticides,” said attorney Christopher Seeger, who is proposed as a claimants’ representative in the settlement. But he said a settlement still would allow some people to receive compensation.

The case before the Supreme Court was filed by Missouri resident John Durnell. He developed a cancer called non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after more than 20 years of serving as the neighborhood association’s “spray guy,” using Roundup on parks in his historic St. Louis community.

A jury agreed that the company failed to warn him about possible cancer dangers and awarded him $1.25 million. It’s one of thousands of similar cases, including some multibillion-dollar damage awards.
