The Iran Fiasco’s Silver Lining: Trump, Bibi, and the Neocons Got Their Clocks Cleaned

If you don’t think the Donald inhabits an alternative universe – just set your mandibles loose to chomp on his most recent missive. According to history’s most gifted practitioner of the Art of the Deal, only one thing really counts with respect to his Paperless Invite for Iran to join yet another round of negotiations: Namely, making good on their pledge to “never, ever” get a nuke, which they never, ever, ever actually had or had even pursued:

Trump: “This agreement is about one thing — that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. Never ever ever. The rest of it is irrelevant, frankly.”

And just in case anyone missed the point, he further insisted that the real bad stuff that supposedly provoked the US/Israel attack in the first place – the 420 kilograms of 60% HEUs – and which the Donald had been on the verge sending in ground troops and Caterpillar earth-movers to retrieve, doesn’t matter so much any more, either!

Trump is backing away from getting Iran’s enriched material: “You could make the case, why even bother? It’s not very valuable stuff.”

That’s right. It is plain as day that the Donald is laying the ground work for a final “deal” with Iran that contains nothing more than a notional “No Nukes” pledge, gussied up by some variation of JCPOA Light.

That is, an agreement about:

  • the length in months and years of a moratorium on Iran’s fuel grade (3.67%) enrichment operations in support of its civilian nuclear power plant.
  • the scale of these civilian enrichment operations in terms of facilities and numbers and types of permitted centrifuges once they restart.
  • the intrusiveness of a renewed IAEA inspection regime.
  • the “snap-back” mechanisms designed to keep the mullahs on the straight and narrow of the overall Peace Plan.

Needless to say, the Obama folks will be proven to have done a far better job the first time around during their arduous negotiations of 2013-2015 than whatever cockamamie version emerges from a final deal that the Donald must and will sign in the shadows of the upcoming November Congressional elections.

Democracy Dies In Sunny South Florida

A legacy media publication famously claims that “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” In Miami-Dade County, however, democracy is dying in broad daylight. A substantial majority of local incumbents are cruising to re-election without a single challenger in either the primary or general election. Their only potential barrier to continued tenure is statutory term limits. In some cases, incumbents were appointed to their posts and have never faced the voters at all.

I. State Representatives
At least five of the roughly dozen local state representatives have already secured re-election without opposition:

House District 110: Tom Fabricio (R-Miami Lakes)
House District 111: David Borrero (R-Doral)
House District 112: Alex Rizo (R-Hialeah)
House District 114: Demi Busatta (R-Coral Gables)
House District 120: Jim Mooney (R-Florida Keys)

The following incumbents have also advanced to the November general election without primary challengers:

House District 115: Omar Blanco (R-Dadeland)
House District 116: Ashley Perez-Biliskov (R-Westchester), sister of outgoing Republican House Speaker Danny Perez
House District 119: Juan Carlos Porras (R-The Hammocks)

Your correspondent expects to endorse every one of these legislators in the general election. Still, representative government would be healthier if incumbents were forced to defend their records, character, and policies before the voters.

A few races remain contested:

House District 113 (Brickell, Coconut Grove, Little Havana, Shenandoah, and Key Biscayne): Republicans Tony Diaz and Bruno Barreiro are waging spirited primary campaigns against RINO Frank Lago. See: Tony Diaz for Florida House District 113. Lago has distributed mailers featuring his photo beside President Trump’s, despite no involvement or endorsement from Trump. House District 117 (Homestead and Florida City): Republican Miguel Granda is challenging incumbent Democrat Kevin Chambliss in the general election.
House District 118 (mostly unincorporated areas near Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport): Incumbent Republican Mike Redondo, the incoming House Speaker, faces a primary challenge from independent Republican Marco Insua, who lives in the district.

Hillary Clinton Savaged For Claiming Juneteenth is “America’s Second Independence Day”

Twice-failed presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton jumped on the Democrat trend and posted a message about Juneteenth.

Not one of these Democrats cared about Juneteenth or even knew what it was.

Barack Obama never tweeted about Juneteenth and he never gave a speech about the event.

On June 19 the US celebrates Juneteenth, a little-known date that was recently dug up to divert attention from the slave owner past of the Democrat Party and the real civil rights achievements by brave Republicans who fought to free the slaves.

All of a sudden the Democrats are obsessed with Juneteenth.

Joe Biden, a lifelong racist, signed a law making Juneteenth a federal holiday in 2021.

Just one year before making it a federal holiday, Joe Biden had no clue what Juneteenth was and he actually confused it with the Tulsa Massacre.

Hillary Clinton called Juneteenth “America’s second Independence Day.”

“Juneteenth marks the celebration of America’s second independence day,” Hillary Clinton said.

“Like the people in this photo—celebrating the day in 1900—we know that progress hasn’t made our union perfect. But we can recommit to reaching toward that more perfect union together,” Clinton said. “Happy Juneteenth.”

The Security State’s Middle East: Why Washington Keeps Choosing Pressure Over Diplomacy

For more than twenty years now, American leaders from both parties have talked about turning over a new leaf in the Middle East. One president pushed hard for democracy promotion, another tried diplomatic outreach, and someone else swore we’d finally end the “forever wars.” Yet every time a crisis hits, Washington’s first move is rarely sitting down to hammer out a political deal. Instead, it reaches for sanctions, sends in more troops, ramps up deterrence, and leans on the threat – or actual use – of force.

This pattern raises a tough question. If the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq didn’t create stable governments, if years of pressure haven’t really changed Iran’s behavior, and if coercion keeps delivering only mixed results, why does the U.S. keep relying on the same old toolbox?

It’s not just about individual presidents or partisan fights. Republicans and Democrats argue over tactics, sure, but they all work inside a national security system that has slowly pushed military and coercive tools to the top while sidelining diplomacy and messy political solutions. The foreign policy crowd increasingly views the Middle East first through the lens of security competition and only second through its complicated politics.

More than sixty years ago, President Dwight Eisenhower warned about this in his farewell address. He talked about the “military-industrial complex” – the tight web of defense officials, contractors, and politicians that could end up warping America’s priorities. He wasn’t saying military power is useless. He worried it might become so dominant that other options would lose out. You can still read the speech on the Eisenhower Presidential Library archives. At the time it felt like a distant concern. Today it looks spot on.

The 9/11 attacks supercharged this shift. The Global War on Terror didn’t just launch invasions – it changed how Washington saw the world. Instability anywhere became a direct security threat. Local disputes turned into big strategic battles. Grievances rooted in history and society got reframed as problems that needed sanctions, surveillance, or military action. Diplomacy didn’t vanish, but it became secondary, always operating inside a security-first framework.

The Middle East shows this dynamic better than anywhere else. Take Afghanistan. At first, the invasion looked like a clear success. The Taliban fell fast, and officials in Washington talked confidently about building democracy and long-term stability. But turning military victory into a legitimate government proved far harder. We had the guns and the money, but we underestimated tribal loyalties, history, and what local people would actually accept. After twenty years, the U.S. left and the Taliban came right back. The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) reports laid it out plainly: unrealistic goals set in Washington, poor understanding of local realities, and timelines that ignored conditions on the ground.

Colombia Announces Election Results in One Day… While California Marxists Won’t Report Election Results for 2 More Weeks – Five Weeks After Election Day!

Colombia, a country rife with cartel violence, drug kingpins, and political assassinations picked their new leader on Sunday. By early evening, Conservative outsider Abelardo de la Espriella was announced the winner over cartel lackey and Marxist sympathizer Gustavo Petro.

Espriella is a Trump supporter and holds a dual citizenship with the US.

Colombia has an estimated 52,694,952 people according to latest estimates.

Even Colombia, with all of its domestic challenges is able to count ballots in ONE DAY!

Meanwhile, in California, the communists are still harvesting and counting ballots.

California allegedly has a population of 39.6 million but who really knows?

According to the DPElectionResults website they have until July 3rd to issue their final report. Then the Secretary of State will finalize the results by July 10, 2026.

Election results are updated as often as new data is received from county elections offices after the polls close at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots continue to be counted after Election Day during the canvass period; county elections officials must report final official results to the Secretary of State by July 3, 2026. The Secretary of State will certify the results on July 10, 2026.

They’re not fooling anyone. Everyone knows California no longer has trustworthy elections. They don’t check IDs and anyone can sign up online or at the drivers license bureau. Democrats are a crime syndicate.

When the Iran War Is Over: The West Bank May Be Netanyahu’s Next Front

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing perhaps the most precarious moment of his political career. He knows it. His allies know it. And his rivals – both within his coalition and across Israel’s political spectrum – are preparing to capitalize on his growing weakness.

Former Israeli Justice Minister Haim Ramon, who also served as deputy prime minister between 2007 and 2009, is among the latest Israeli political figures to join a growing chorus of criticism directed at Netanyahu.

“In the final result,” Ramon said in an interview with Radio Galey, cited by the Israeli outlet Srugim, “we did not win.” He then broke down that failure in blunt terms: “We did not win in Lebanon, we did not win in Iran, and we did not win against Hamas.”

Another prominent critic is former Israeli army chief Gadi Eisenkot, who joined Netanyahu’s emergency war government following the events of October 7, 2023, before resigning with Benny Gantz in June 2024.

Beyond accusing Netanyahu of failing to protect Israel on October 7, Eisenkot argues that the prime minister has effectively surrendered Israel’s political decision-making to US President Donald Trump, thereby strategically weakening Israel.

Ironically, Netanyahu’s coalition partners have often been even more opportunistic than the opposition.

Since the formation of the current coalition government on December 29, 2022 – widely regarded as the most right-wing government in Israel’s history – figures such as National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich have repeatedly used Netanyahu’s political vulnerability to expand their own influence. Whenever Netanyahu needed political support to remain in power, they demanded concessions in return.

For Israel’s far-right extremists, Netanyahu’s inability to secure decisive strategic victories has often translated into opportunities to advance their own agendas. Every setback on the battlefield became an opening for greater settlement expansion, harsher measures against Palestinians, and deeper entrenchment of extremist policies.

Unable to deliver ‘victory’, Netanyahu turned perpetual war into a political strategy in its own right. The result has been a genocidal war in Gaza, widespread devastation in Lebanon, and a dangerous confrontation with Iran that has repeatedly brought the region to the brink of a wider catastrophe.

For a time, this formula proved politically sustainable. Netanyahu successfully enlisted unwavering US support to keep the fires of war burning. At the same time, the failure of Europe and much of the international community to hold a wanted war criminal accountable provided him with the political space necessary to continue his bloody calculations.

Yet that formula may be nearing its limits. While this possibility may appear encouraging, it comes with a serious warning. If Netanyahu can no longer sustain the wars that have prolonged his political life for nearly three years, he may escalate where resistance is weakest: the occupied West Bank.

Regarding Iran, there is growing recognition that the current confrontation is unsustainable indefinitely and that some form of arrangement will eventually emerge. Likewise, regardless of whether Lebanon is formally included in any future agreement, Israel’s ambition of permanently occupying parts of Lebanese territory remains untenable.

Historically, when Israel fails to secure a strategic breakthrough on one front, it seeks compensation on another – typically where Palestinians are most vulnerable and where international scrutiny is weakest.

As Israeli elections approach, it is therefore reasonable to fear a further escalation of the genocide in Gaza, pushing both the death toll and the level of destruction to new heights. According to Gaza health authorities, nearly 1,000 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire agreement was announced in October, bringing the overall death toll of Israel’s genocide in Gaza to 73,000 Palestinians.

Though Israel’s war has already failed to break Palestinian steadfastness, the broader objective remains unchanged: the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza and the transformation of the Strip into a space that can no longer sustain Palestinian life.

The West Bank, however, presents a different challenge.

Biden Migrant Policy Has Exacerbated Affordability Crisis In Housing — Contributing To 30% Price Hikes In Major American Cities

A recent working paper released by two economists working for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has suggested that illegal migration over the Biden years contributed to as much as a 20% growth in recent years and a whopping 30% increase in housing prices over the last five years.

The paper, titled “The Impacts of Unauthorized Immigration on U.S. Labor and Housing Markets: New Evidence from Administrative Microdata,” provides strong evidence to support the claim that illegal migration has not only worsened an affordability crisis in America, but is one of its key drivers.

For years, America has faced a chronic shortage of housing, a problem that is most acute in metropolitan areas where the number of new homes being built has severely lagged the skyrocketing demand.

In the years Biden occupied the Oval Office, hordes of illegals – to the tune of, at least, 15 million – entered the homeland.  This placed severe pressure on an already tight and inelastic housing market.

The paper concluded that every 1% addition of illegal aliens to a local area’s initial employment raised rents in that area by 1.4%, while increasing housing prices by 2.2%.

In certain key metro areas, such as Houston, Miami, New York, and Minneapolis, where the concentration of illegal migrant inflows was disproportionate to the national average, those housing markets would experience an especially pronounced uptick.

The result of this distressing trend was that ordinary Americans, particularly new homebuyers and young people, were literally being squeezed out of housing altogether because of the seismic pressures introduced by illegal aliens.

In past generations, Americans would only have to compete among themselves for housing.  Housing followed a typical supply and demand relationship – where greater demand was often manageable because new housing could be easily built, without encumbering supply chains too much.

In recent years, that logic has been totally upended.  First, loose monetary policy has expanded the money supply.  The effect of quantitative easing has driven up housing prices far beyond the demand.

The inflation this caused has been exacerbated further by a restricted housing supply, which has been slow to rebound since the COVID-19 pandemic devastated supply chains nationwide.

This in turn further worsened a problem that had been ongoing for years due to burdensome regulations, red-tape, and excess bureaucracy in the housing market.

The effect of opening America’s borders and letting in the third world during an already unmanageable housing crisis was like adding gasoline to the fire.

The market effects have been catastrophic: new home buyers have been potentially delayed from purchasing their first home by decades.  Many have been forced out of the market entirely.

The problems arising from illegal aliens do not just stop at the supply and demand curve: more people cause more strains on local infrastructure, resulting in setbacks and unintended deterioration of said supply.

Local and state governments, rather than allocating limited resources to build new housing, must now reallocate precious time, money, and manpower to improving the infrastructure already available.

This has the double effect of reducing the resources available for new housing while contributing more delays to a market grossly in short supply already.

Turns Out ‘Trust the Science’ Came With Receipts

Tulsi Gabbard’s last day as the director of national intelligence is upon us, after she resigned because of a major illness in the family. In her resignation note to the president, she cited her husband Abraham Williams’ recent diagnosis with sacral chordoma — an extremely rare tumor that develops in the sacrum at the base of the spine. In her resignation, she wrote that “He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.”

That said, there is good news there. The surgery to remove bone and surrounding tissue lasted almost seven hours and was described as successful. Gabbard shared that he had a rough night following that surgery and was in a lot of pain, but was finally home resting, adding “Now recovery begins.”

Gabbard also expressed gratitude for the public support: “We’re so grateful for the outpouring of prayers and kind messages from all of you. Our hearts are full.”

As wonderful as that news is, and as cheered as I am about it, alas! That’s where the feel-good part of this piece ends.

The ODNI press release accompanying the release states that Anthony Fauci, as head of NIAID, 

provided millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology — work the release describes as “widely viewed” as the source of an unintentional lab leak.

I spent some time last night — several hours in fact — going over these documents that I’ve linked above. They lay out the flat-out accusations of Fauci of teaming up with his fellow travelers in the Intelligence Community to kill the lab-leak hypothesis and bury his own fingerprints on the research funding.

And apparently that wasn’t enough — these documents show three specific roles for him:

  • Fauci caused our government to bankroll reckless and illegal gain-of-function experiments on bat coronaviruses in Wuhan while chasing the trillion-dollar dream of “universal vaccines,” an item worth billions to Big Pharma; 
  • Fauci worked the phones behind the scenes to steer IC analysts toward a convenient (and false) natural-origin conclusion; 
  • Fauci then stood in front of cameras playing the part of America’s trusted pandemic czar and — per the release — fed the public a steady diet of lies, disinformation, and censorship.

Quite the résumé, wouldn’t you say? But wait, there’s more!

Failing Keir Starmer Resigns as British Prime Minister – Former Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham Expected To Be His Successor 

From scandal to crisis and back, Starmer became highly unpopular, even among his Labour peers.

As it was widely expected, failing Keir Starmer announced today his resignation to the job of Labour party leader and British Prime Minister.

On the verge of tears, Starmer made the announcement in front of Number 10 in Downing Street, the Prime Minister’s residence.

He said he would ‘bow to pressure from Labour MPs with good grace’ and trigger a Labour Party leadership contest.

The Telegraph reported:

“The election will take place this summer, allowing a new prime minister to be installed by Sept 1, he said.

Addressing the media in front of No 10, Sir Keir listed his achievements in office and in opposition, where he said he ‘changed our party’ by tackling anti-Semitism and “restoring trust in the economy, defense, and national security”.

But he added: ‘I know the question being asked now is not: ‘Who was best placed to change the Labour Party to take us into power and to begin the vital work of improving lives for billions of people?’ Those questions have been answered. The question my party is asking now is whether I am best placed to lead us into the next general election. I have heard the answer of my parliamentary party to that question, and I accept that answer with good grace.”

Gabbard Drops Fauci COVID-19 Receipts On Last Day: He Funded The Research, Cooked The Cover Story, Then Lied To Congress

Newly declassified documents released Thursday by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard show that a U.S. national laboratory assessed the COVID-19 lab-origin hypothesis as a serious possibility as early as May 2020, as well as evidence of U.S.-funded coronavirus research that included planning for spike-protein modifications, receptor-adaptation experiments, and testing in humanized mice in collaboration with researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The documents also prove that Anthony Fauci lied under oath. 

The release, issued on Gabbard’s last day on the job, includes an eight-page May 27, 2020, assessment from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Z Program. That assessment concluded that “all of the necessary conditions for an accidental release of a laboratory-modified coronavirus – specifically a coronavirus adapted to recognize human cell receptors – were present at the Chinese Wuhan Institute of Virology in mid-to-late 2019.” It assigned equal weight to a laboratory-modification hypothesis and a natural-origin scenario.

Meanwhile, Recall that while the government was locking us down, Dr. Anthony Fauci and those in his orbit were actively fabricating a ‘wet market’ narrative that would conceal US research as a possible origin – despite his own advisors initially insisting that COVID-19 looked manmade.

In his January 2024 transcribed interview, Fauci was asked about conversations concerning the same three topics – COVID origins, WIV, and EcoHealth. When asked about the CIA, he answered yes: he said he was briefed “once or twice” in a secure NIH facility and also recalled a briefing in a White House situation room.

The newly released documents then show a June 4, 2021 briefing involving CIA/WCP personnel, NSC officials, and Fauci, during which Fauci offered views on pangolin research, sick WIV researchers, single-lineage vs. multi-lineage evidence, and recommended scientists for the IC to contact. A separate CIA-context email says that same 40-minute secure video teleconfrenece involved CIA/WCPMC officials and that Fauci gave thoughts on the 4 May 2021 COVID-origin briefing and recommended U.S. scientists to consult.
