DARPA’s Theory of Mind Warfare

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has an initiative called the Theory of Mind program. This effort is designed to give national security decision-makers the ability to model, simulate, and ultimately anticipate the intentions and behaviors of adversaries using a combination of advanced algorithms and human expertise.

At its core, the program aims to:

  • Build algorithmic models that “decompose” adversary strategies into elemental behaviors.
  • Use massive data—signals intelligence, open-source information, even social media—to create high-fidelity “avatars” of enemy decision-makers.
  • Simulate possible responses to a range of U.S. and allied actions, exploring which ones best deter, incentivize, or nudge adversaries toward preferred outcomes.
  • Integrate insights from psychological profiling and machine learning to continually update these models as real-world conditions shift.

The promise is profound: a system that doesn’t just predict what an adversary might do, but actively guides policymakers toward courses of action that shape the adversary’s decision calculus—minimizing escalation and maximizing U.S. strategic advantage.

DARPA’s Theory of Mind program fundamentally changes how conflicts are managed. Decision-makers can run gaming scenarios at unprecedented detail and speed, customizing incentives or deterrents tailored to both cultural and individual psychologies. Risks of unintended escalation might be sharply reduced, while opportunities to “push the line” without crossing it become clearer.

Palestinian Activist Recorded His Own Murder, Israel Still Released His Killer

A Palestinian activist featured in the Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land” recorded his murder by an Israeli settler. The killer was freed by an Israeli court, arguing there was a lack of evidence.

On Sunday, the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem released a video record by Awda Hadalin of the moment he was shot and killed by Yinon Levi. There are two additional videos that show Levi point his gun and shoot Hadalin before he falls to the ground.

Director of “No Other Land,” Yuval Abraham, said the three videos leave no doubt that Levi murdered Hadalin. “There is no room for doubt. Yinon Levi killed Uda Hadalin in front of the cameras, and an entire system of Jewish superiority turned him from a perpetrator into a victim and punished the village residents instead of punishing him,” he wrote on X.

The day after the killing, an Israeli court accepted Levi’s assertion he was acting in “self-defense” and granted him house arrest. There is no evidence in the video that Levi was in danger.

He was then released from house arrest after a judge ruled the evidence backed his self-defense claim.

Israel refused to give Hadalin’s body to his family to allow for a funeral for over a week. Tel Aviv attempted to force the family to agree to limit his funeral to 15 people before giving his body to relatives. After ten days, the Israeli High Court ordered the release of Hadalin’s body.

The Return of the Most EVIL Political Attack Ever: Dems in Full Freakout Mode Over ‘They/Them’ Ads

I’m great at writing bios for my PR clients: celebs, entertainers, lawyers, businessmen, athletes—you name it.

Not to brag, but they’re some of my finest works of fiction.

Because, in my profession, we don’t begin with “the truth.” (More often than not, “the truth” only gets in the way. Lousy reality! It’s always interfering with my creative storytelling!)

Instead, we begin with the story we want to tell.

And then we cherrypick the truthful bits and pieces of his or her bio to tell this one specific story. So, nothing in a client’s bio is actually false — you never lie — but you use reality as a springboard for storylines that’ll ring more registers.

Pinsker Law of PR #33: Clients don’t hire propagandists to publicize what the truth is. We’re hired to publicize what they wish the truth was.

It’s not my job to report reality. I’m not a documentary filmmaker; that’s not why clients pay me. Getting mad at a propagandist for inaccurately mirroring reality is kind of like getting mad at a dentist because he’s bad at carpentry: They’re different disciplines.

PR is strategic storytelling. Nothing more, nothing less.

And it’s ALWAYS driven by the beliefs, fears, and aspirations of your target audience.

This takes us to the latest Democratic freakout. Yesterday, it was gerrymandering; today, it’s the dreaded return of the most diabolical, meanspirited political attack of our era: the GOP’s “they/them” ads.

(Gasp!)

CNN issued the ominous warning yesterday: “Republicans reprise anti-transgender ‘Kamala is for they/them’ ads for the midterms.”

Why, how dare those Republicans double-down on a successful political campaign! That’s not fair.

Canadians In Nova Scotia Now Banned From Using Public Forests

Tyranny is a process of acclimation.  Governments test the public to see what they will quietly tolerate; leaders then turn “temporary” restrictions into permanent laws as people are conditioned to accept the new normal.  Sometimes the public fights back and officials are forced to retreat.  However, the tests never end and the bureaucracy continues to press year after year until it gets what it wants.

Many commentators have noticed that the Canadian government has been expediting this authoritarian process in recent years to the point that the intentions of elitist politicians can no longer be misunderstood.  The mask is fully off and the country is becoming a draconian cesspool.  From censorship laws, to gun bans, to carbon taxes and even legislation that turns Christian worship into “hate speech”, Canada is almost every bit as cooked as their commonwealth cousins in Britain.

Every few weeks it seems a new and oppressive mandate is enforced.  This month, the province of Nova Scotia has abruptly banned nearly all civilian activity in public forests.  It is illegal for Canadians to walk, hike, drive, camp (outside of official campgrounds) or fish in Nova Scotia’s woods and anyone caught without a heavily regulated permit is subject to extreme fines.  Smaller parks that have woods are also restricted.  The bans will continue until October 15th unless the provincial government decides to extend.

The offices for obtaining work permits have been swamped with requests and questions and citizens have been told to stop calling.  At least one citizen, Canadian veteran Jeff Evely, has challenged the law and has been fined over $28,000 simply for walking into the forest.

‘I’d F*** Your Old Lady In The A**’: Liberal Mayor Berates Christian At LGBT Festival

A Texas mayor was caught on video using disturbing language berating a Christian preacher at a LGBT festival, video shows.

Jim Ross, the mayor of Arlington, Texas, targeted the preacher during a 2023 LGBT event. The shocking moments were captured by Vice, though Ross’s face is blurred and the footage has just now been uncovered by The Dallas Express.

Ross claims he’s a moderate, but routinely pushes race-based and gender-based initiatives and has promoted LGBT “pride.”

“I believe y’all can have free speech. But this is some hateful s*** and I am a heterosexual guy,” Ross says in the footage, speaking to preacher Ruben Israel, who has since passed away.

“You stand out here like you are a b*da** motherf***er,” the mayor continued. “You don’t think anal sex is good, do you? Have you ever f***ed your old lady in the a**? I’d f*** your old lady in the a**.”

Ross was not done, however. He called Israel a “p**** mother***er” and told him, “Shut your a**, shut your a**, you little piece of s***. You ought to talk s***, these people around here are having a good f***ing time.”

At the time of the confrontation, Ross was serving as mayor of Arlington, and currently holds the same position.

Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French said Ross needs to resign “immediately” over the conduct.

Tarrant County Republican Precinct Chair TK Campbell, also speaking to The Dallas Express, said Ross’s unprofessional behavior mirrors that of prominent Democrats, who’ve clung to cursing as an apparent political strategy.

“The now Mayor of Arlington’s vile, profanity-laced rant at the late Ruben Israel, a Christian street preacher, is a disgrace,” Campbell said. “Perhaps the mayor was stressed out because of not being able to pay his taxes of late, but his unprofessional conduct mirrors the worst of today’s cursing Democrats. Leadership demands better.”

Campbell’s comments regarding taxes seem to reference Ross recently having his wages garnished by the IRS. According to The Dallas Express, Ross owes $940.39 in penalties and interest and has an outstanding debt of about $175,000.

During his tenure as mayor, Ross has created advisory councils based on race, religion, and identity, including black, Asian, Latino, Muslim, and LGBTQ.

In 2023, Ross defended the forums during an NAACP event. “You have to have a black advisory council because, folks, black people are not the same. Did y’all know that?” he said, according to KERA News. “Latinos are not the same. Asians are not the same.”

Complaint alleges 32 scholarships at Florida State U. discriminate on race, gender

A civil rights complaint has been filed against Florida State University alleging 32 scholarships at the school discriminate based on race or gender.

“We didn’t expect to find such a large number of discriminatory scholarships at a major state university in the anti-woke Free State of Florida,” stated the Equal Protection Project, which recently filed the complaint.

For example, FSU scholarships that were flagged included wording such as “it is the preference … that the recipient be an African American/Black student” and “the preference … that the recipient be a female.”

The university’s Crossman Career Builders Scholarship states “it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a female who is Black/African American, Hispanic, or a member of the Seminole Tribe.”

“Such word games cannot evade the civil rights laws and equal protection constitutional guarantee,” the complaint read.

The Office for Civil Rights is currently evaluating the case, according to the project.

The complaint alleges the scholarships violate Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, barring racial discrimination, Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments, barring gender-based discrimination, and the Fourteenth Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause, which prohibits discriminatory legislation toward specific demographics.

‘No rational reason’: Court strikes government restriction on customers who want to visit home-based businesses

The Court of Appeals of Tennessee, located in Nashville, has struck down a municipal ordinance that limited the number of customers who could visit a home-based business.

It is invalid because it discriminated based on the type business it was.

According to a report from the Institute for Justice, which fought on behalf of record producer Lij Shaw and hairstylist Pat Raynor, Nashville’s rule allowed the two only six client visits a day at their businesses.

And then the city came up with “invasive and burdensome requirements.”

However, other businesses based in homes, such as short-term rentals, home daycares, historic homes and more, were allowed to have 12 or more clients daily, “free from additional requirements.”

“This kind of arbitrary favoritism has no place under the Tennessee Constitution,” explained Paul Avelar, a lawyer for the IJ. “Lij and Pat have a constitutional right to use their homes to earn an honest living. But Nashville treats their home-based businesses worse than other, privileged, home-based businesses for no real reason.”

The lawsuit stems from the city’s 2017 attacks on the two businesses, in which it shut them down.

Then came COVD, and the city allowed them to have six client visits daily.

Now a unanimous ruling from Judges Frank Clement, Andy Bennett, and Jeffrey Usman agreed with the claims that the city had not offered good reasons for favoring some home business over others.

The ruling said, “Metro has offered no rational reason for the difference in treatment that is relevant to the purpose of the law.”

The case already has been to the state Supreme Court, which rejected a lower court’s dismissal and reinstated it for further opinions at the lower court level.

At first, the lower court claimed the limits were “constitutional because they were rationally related to the city’s interests in preserving the residential nature of neighborhoods.”

The appeals ruling noted that the city changed its code during the time period that the lawsuit was pending. But throughout the proceedings the city exempted short-term rentals, home-based daycares, historic buildings and such.

The case ended up addressing the city’s irrational decision to distinguish between different types of home-related businesses.

“Plaintiffs argued that there was no rational reason that was relevant to the purpose of the law for distinguishing between their businesses and the Exempt Businesses. In support, Plaintiffs produced evidence that their businesses had no more of an impact on the residential character of neighborhoods than the Exempt Businesses,” the ruling said.

The opinion noted the city didn’t even try to dispute that.

The Quiet Part Out Loud: What the Left Really Thinks of Illegal Immigrants

For all of their pious pontificating about the nobility of illegal immigrants as people who simply came here in search of a better life for themselves and their families, Democrats and others on the Left in and out of Congress actually have a much more patronizing view in unguarded moments.

While out of one side of their mouths, the Left lionizes illegals as latter-day huddled masses yearning to breathe free, these same leftists speak of the migrants in ways that are condescending or at best utilitarian, even as they fight to block President Donald Trump from deporting them back to their countries of origin.

Most of these liberals, in unscripted moments, appear to be less concerned about the well-being of the millions of illegals the Biden administration allowed to pour into our country unvetted and more concerned about their food supply, even though none of them looks like he or she has ever skipped a meal.

Consider the following quotes, transcribed verbatim from a video compilation circulating on Facebook, the many iterations of which make it impossible to ascertain the original source for attribution. Speaking of Biden, as we were, let’s start with former first son Hunter Biden, who—as is his custom—kept it classy:

HUNTER BIDEN: “How do you think you got food on your f—— table? Who do you think washes your dishes? Who do you think does your f—— garden?”

REP. JIMMY GOMEZ, D-Calif., mocked ICE raids as heartless assaults on “the immigrant workers who feed America.”

REP. NANCY PELOSI, D-Calif.: “Why are you shipping these immigrants up north? We need them here to pick the crops.”

ALEJANDRO MAYORKAS, Biden’s secretary of Department of Homeland Security: “Food is not reaching our table because those who pick the crops have been removed.”

REP. DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ, D-Fla.: “I mean, you’re going to have vegetables rotting in the fields.”

REP. JERRY NADLER, D-N.Y.: “Our vegetables would rot in the ground if they weren’t being picked by many illegal immigrants.”

REP. ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ, D-N.Y.: “If you think your groceries are expensive now, wait until the farms are empty.”

REP. PRAMILA JAYAPAL, D-Wash.: “If you look at the food that’s on your table, think about who picked it.”

UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN on CNN: “It’s going to deport 20 million people, the people who pick your crops.”

SEN. DICK DURBIN, D-Ill.: “They come with regularity from Mexico, usually, to work in the fields.”

REP. JASMINE CROCKETT, D-Texas: “Those immigrants that come into our country work in the fields, something we ain’t done in a long time.”

JENNA ARNOLD, Democratic strategist: “I can’t wait until American women can’t get blueberries for their smoothies.”

UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN on TikTok: “Good news, Red States, you can now pick your own fruits and vegetables in the blazing hot sun for $5 an hour.”

THE RT. REV. MARIANN EDGAR BUDDE, Episcopal bishop of Washington: “The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings; who labor in poultry farms and meatpacking plants; who wash dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals … .”

ANNA NAVARRO, one of the co-hosts of ABC-TV’s “The View”: “What’s going to happen here is that milk gets a lot higher [in price], because I don’t know if any of you have ever been in a dairy farm, because it is god-awful work.”

Blue-State Governors Harbor Texas Fugitives To Help Democrats Get Control Of Congress

The exodus of more than 50 Democrat members of the Texas House to block a quorum in Austin is bad enough. Even worse is how the Democrat Governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker, has essentially promised them safe harbor, appearing with them at a press conference on Sunday while declaring, “we’re going to do everything we can to protect” them.

Control of the U.S. House for the second half of the Trump administration hangs in the balance, as the redistricting map to be voted on in Austin would give Republicans a good chance of winning five of the 13 Texas congressional seats they don’t currently hold. Illinois already gerrymandered its House maps to help Democrats win 14 out of its 17 seats, so it is hypocritical for them to claim unfairness in Texas.

Perhaps Illinois was chosen because its Democrat governor is reportedly helping the Texas Democrats “find lodging and meeting spaces.” During a recent press conference, Pritzker denied that he was writing them checks but said he was not against doing it.

Trump observed on Tuesday morning that “I got the highest vote in the history of Texas. And we are entitled to five more seats” in Congress from Texas. Ironically, Texas has an enormous congressional delegation of 38 seats. This is no doubt thanks in part to Democrats’ insistence on including illegal aliens in the census, used to allocate seats among the states. Multiple Democrat congressmen from Texas could lose their seats next year under the new redistricting plan.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a Sunday statement that the Democrat lawmakers’ “absences were premeditated for an illegitimate purpose.” He cited the state constitution, saying, “When the Governor calls a Special Session, our Constitution provides that the ‘Legislature shall meet.’”

He continued, stating, “Any Democrat who ‘solicits, accepts or agrees to accept’ … funds to assist in the violation of legislative duties or for purposes of skipping a vote may have violated bribery laws.” Abbott added that any person who “offers, confers, or agrees to confer” money to “fleeing Democrat House members” could also be charged with a crime.

In 2021, Democrat House members likewise fled Austin to frustrate a quorum and block passage of new voting integrity measures, including voter ID. That blockade lasted through the first and into the second special session. When three Houston Democrats returned, a quorum was established, and the bill passed. A court struck down portions of the bill, but on Monday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that its mail ballot ID number requirement easily complies with federal law.

In the Texas House, a quorum requires the presence of two-thirds, or 100, of the 150 representatives. The legislative session on Monday fell 10 votes short of a quorum, according to the Texas Tribune.

Civil arrest warrants were then ordered under Texas law because of the dereliction of duty by Democrats, but these warrants are only enforceable in Texas. The state governors could approve an extradition request, but the Democrat lawmakers all fled to states with Democrat governors.

Democrat Texas Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer said, “We recognized when we got on the plane that we’re in this for the long haul,” according to the Associated Press. Fellow Texas House Democrat Caucus Chair Gene Wu observed that he and his colleagues “will do whatever it takes.” Notably, Abbott filed an emergency petition with the Texas Supreme Court on Tuesday to remove Wu from office. According to the Texas Tribune, the justices gave Wu until the end of the day on Friday to respond, and this “test case … could eventually allow [Abott] to remove every member who left the state.” Wu called the move “meaningless” in an interview with NPR.

AI Startup Backed by Microsoft Revealed to Be 700 Indian Employees Pretending to Be Chatbots

A once-hyped AI startup backed by Microsoft has filed for bankruptcy after it was revealed that its so-called artificial intelligence was actually hundreds of human workers in India pretending to be chatbots.

Builder.ai, a London-based company previously valued at $1.5 billion, marketed its platform as an AI-powered solution that made building apps as simple as ordering pizza. Its virtual assistant, “Natasha,” was supposed to generate software using artificial intelligence.

In reality, nearly 700 engineers in India were manually coding customer requests behind the scenes, the Times of India reported.

The ruse began to collapse in May when lender Viola Credit seized $37 million from the company’s accounts, uncovering that Builder.ai had inflated its 2024 revenue projections by 300%. An audit revealed the company generated just $50 million in revenue, far below the $220 million it claimed to investors.

A Wall Street Journal report from 2019 had already questioned Builder.ai’s AI claims, and a former executive sued the company that same year for allegedly misleading investors and overstating its technical capabilities.

Despite that, the company raised over $445 million from big names including Microsoft and the Qatar Investment Authority. Builder.ai’s collapse has triggered a federal investigation in the U.S., with prosecutors in New York requesting financial documents and customer records.

Founder Sachin Dev Duggal stepped down earlier this year and was replaced by Manpreet Ratia, who reportedly uncovered the company’s internal misrepresentations.

The company now owes millions to Amazon and Microsoft in cloud computing costs and has laid off around 1,000 employees. On LinkedIn, the company announced its entry into insolvency proceedings, citing “historic challenges and past decisions” that strained its finances.

The fallout is seen as one of the biggest failures of the post-ChatGPT AI investment boom and has renewed scrutiny of “AI washing”—the trend of rebranding manual services as artificial intelligence to secure funding.
