Declassified: CIA’s Covert Ukraine Invasion Plan

On August 7th, US polling giant Gallup published the remarkable results of a survey of Ukrainians. Public support for Kiev “fighting until victory” has plummeted to a record low “across all segments” of the population, “regardless of region or demographic group.” In a “nearly complete reversal from public opinion in 2022,” 69% of citizens “favor a negotiated end to the war as soon as possible.” Just 24% wish to keep fighting.  However, vanishingly few believe the proxy war will end anytime soon.

The reasons for Ukrainian pessimism on this point are unstated, but an obvious explanation is the intransigence of President Volodymyr Zelensky, encouraged by his overseas backers – Britain in particular. London’s reverie of breaking up Russia into readily-exploitable chunks dates back centuries, and became turbocharged in the wake of the February 2014 Maidan coup. In July that year, a precise blueprint for the current proxy conflict was published by the Institute for Statecraft, a NATO/MI6 cutout founded by veteran British military intelligence apparatchik Chris Donnelly.

In response to the Donbass civil war, Statecraft advocated targeting Moscow with a variety of “anti-subversive measures”. This included “economic boycott, breach of diplomatic relations,” as well as “propaganda and counter-propaganda, pressure on neutrals.” The objective was to produce “armed conflict of the old-fashioned sort” with Russia, which “Britain and the West could win.” While we are now witnessing in real-time the brutal unravelling of Donnelly’s monstrous plot, Anglo-American designs of using Ukraine as a beachhead for all-out war with Moscow date back far further.

In August 1957, the CIA secretly drew up elaborate plans for an invasion of Ukraine by US special forces. It was hoped neighbourhood anti-Communist agitators would be mobilized as footsoldiers to assist in the effort. A detailed 200-page report, Resistance Factors and Special Forces Areas, set out demographic, economic, geographical, historical and political factors throughout the then-Soviet Socialist Republic that could facilitate, or impede, Washington’s quest to ignite local insurrection, and in turn the USSR’s ultimate collapse.

The mission was forecast to be a delicate and difficult balancing act, as much of Ukraine’s population held “few grievances” against Russians or Communist rule, which could be exploited to foment an armed uprising. Just as problematically, “the long history of union between Russia and Ukraine, which stretches in an almost unbroken line from 1654 to the present day,” resulted in “many Ukrainians” having “adopted the Russian way of life”. Problematically, there was thus a pronounced lack of “resistance to Soviet rule” among the population.

The “great influence” of Russian culture over Ukrainians, “many influential positions” in local government being held “by Russians or Ukrainians sympathetic to [Communist] rule, and “relative similarity” of their “languages, customs, and backgrounds”, meant there were “fewer points of conflict between the Ukrainians and Russians” than in Warsaw Pact nations. Throughout those satellite states, the CIA had to varying success already recruited clandestine networks of “freedom fighters” as anti-Communist Fifth Columnists. Yet, the Agency remained keen to identify potential “resistance” actors in Ukraine:

“Some Ukrainians are apparently only slightly aware of the differences which set them apart from Russians and feel little national antagonism. Nevertheless, important grievances exist, and among other Ukrainians there is opposition to Soviet authority which often has assumed a nationalist form. Under favorable conditions, these people might be expected to assist American Special Forces in fighting against the regime.”

Newsom’s Faulty ‘Fact Check’ on Fatal Truck Accident Falls Flat

CLAIM: Trump allowed in a migrant truck driver now charged with killing three people in an illegal U-turn.

VERDICT: FALSE. The driver, who entered illegally, obtained a work permit after being denied by Trump.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is at it again, this time trying to deflect blame for his state granting a commercial driver’s license (CDL) to Harjinder Singh, who allegedly killed three other drivers on August 12.

Breitbart News reported this weekend on the accident, which has led to charges of vehicular homicide:

The driver of a semi-truck involved in the deaths of three Americans has been identified as Harjinder Singh, an illegal alien from India who illegally entered the U.S. in 2018 across the U.S. border with Mexico.

The accident occurred near Fort Pierce, Florida, on August 12, when a northbound semi-truck allegedly crossed over all lanes as the driver tried to use an “official use only” turn opening on the Florida Turnpike so he could head south.

The abrupt crossing of all lanes gave other drivers little time to slow down, resulting in a Chrysler Town & Country slamming head-on into the trailer. All three of the car’s occupants died as a result of the collision, two at the scene and a third at a hospital, according to WPTV-TV.

…

Officials initially noted that the men in the cab of the semi were from California, and video of the drivers’ dashcam was released. A statement from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FHSMV) said Singh obtained a commercial driver’s license (CDL) in California.

Newsom began arguing with the White House, blaming Trump for admitting Singh into the U.S. and defending the policy of providing driver’s licenses to illegal migrants, saying it “improves public safety.”

Cannabis Seed Oil Has ‘Superior Effectiveness’ In Healing Wounds Compared To Conventional Antibiotics, Study Shows

Cannabis seed oil can help accelerate healing of skin wounds—a promising development that authors say indicates that “hemp seed oil may serve as a promising natural and cost-effective adjunct for wound management”—according to a new study of mice.

The report, published in the journal Narra J, compared wounds treated with hempseed oil against those treated with the conventional antibiotic chloramphenicol. Another group of mice was given only a mild saline solution.

“The findings of the present study highlighted the efficacy of hemp oil in accelerating wound healing processes, particularly wound size reduction, epithelialization, granulation tissue formation, and vascularization,” authors wrote, “with results indicating superior effect compared to chloramphenicol ointment.”

The four-person research team, from Universitas Syiah Kuala in Indonesia, noted that there appeared to be specific portions of the healing process in which hemp oil outperformed treatment with chloramphenicol. During other time frames, however, it seemed “comparable” to the antibiotic.

“Hemp seed oil demonstrated superior effectiveness in accelerating wound size reduction compared to chloramphenicol ointment during days 14 and 21,” the paper says, “indicating its potential as a supportive therapy for prolonged wound healing phases. While both treatments improved epithelialization, the significant effect observed on day 14 in the present study suggested that hemp seed oil may provide particular benefits during this critical stage of wound healing, potentially accelerating the transition to tissue remodeling.”

In terms of tissue formation, “hemp seed oil treatment significantly accelerated granulation tissue formation during wound healing, particularly on day 14, where it outperformed chloramphenicol,” authors wrote. “However, its effect on day 21 was comparable to chloramphenicol.”

The BBC Helped Kill Anas Al-Sharif

How is it possible for a BBC reporter to have made the following obscene observation in his recent segment on Israel’s murder of Al-Jazeera journalist Anas Al-Sharif: “There’s the question of proportionality. Is it justified to kill five journalists when you were only targeting one?”

Unpacking the depraved journalistic assumptions behind this short “question” is no small task.

Let us note first, in passing, the entirely false assumption here that Israel wished only to kill one journalist, Al-Sharif. All the evidence is that, in killing more than 200 Palestinian journalists in Gaza over the past two years and by excluding all Western journalists from the enclave, Israel has been seeking to ensure its genocidal crimes go unreported. It is systematically killing those best placed to serve as witnesses.

The all-too-obvious reason Israel wiped out the entire press team at this moment is that the Israeli army is about to invade Gaza City and commit yet more such atrocities.

Anti-Marijuana Groups Narc On D.C. Dispensaries In Letter To Trump, Saying They Are Too Close To Schools

Anti-marijuana organizations are formally narcing on several locally licensed cannabis businesses in Washington, D.C.—sending a letter to President Donald Trump, the U.S. attorney general and a federal prosecutor that identifies dispensaries they allege are too close to schools despite approval from District of Columbia officials.

Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) President Kevin Sabet and the head of a D.C. organization called “1000 Feet” recently sent the letter to the White House and DOJ, saying they “support prioritizing public safety and reducing drug use in the District of Columbia.”

This comes as the president considers a proposal to federally reschedule cannabis, which he said last week will be decided imminently. The issue has divided key voices in the MAGA world, and SAM is among the most vocal opponents of the reform.

But as Trump has moved to federalize D.C. law enforcement by putting DOJ and the head of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in positions of power to subvert local police control, the letter from the anti-cannabis groups encourages the administration to address the “ongoing lawlessness” allegedly associated with certain marijuana businesses in the jurisdiction.

Specifically, they say that over the last two years, “the DC government has licensed marijuana retailers to operate in close proximity to several elementary schools and daycare centers, over the strenuous objections of parents and educators, and in blatant violation of the Federal Drug-Free School Zones Act.”

The groups said that while they were “pleased” to see former interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin “take initial steps against one of the worst offenders” by threatening a locally licensed medical marijuana dispensary with criminal prosecution back in March, “we have not seen any public progress since then.”

Martin, for his part, has since been tapped by Trump to serve as U.S. pardon attorney.

“We hope the initiative you announced this week will provide another opportunity for you to protect the District’s children by taking swift action to close down all the offending marijuana retailers near schools and to inform the DC government that any further licensing of retailers at locations in violation of the Federal Drug-Free School Zones Act will be treated as a criminal conspiracy,” SAM and 1000 Feet said in the letter, which was sent on Friday.

Texas Senate Again Votes To Ban THC Hemp Products Despite Governor’s Push For Regulations

As the second special session of the Texas legislature commences, the state Senate has again approved a bill to that would ban hemp THC products.

Despite Gov. Greg Abbott (R) renewing his call for a regulatory model for intoxicating cannabinoids and an age limit of 21 to purchase such products, the Senate on Tuesday passed legislation from Sen. Charles Perry (R) to recriminalize the market in a 22-8 vote on third reading consideration. A day earlier the body had given initial approval to the measure on second reading.

This comes days after the Senate State Affairs Committee unanimously approved the proposal, which followed the full Senate’s passage of an identical bill in the first regular session this year.

“Nothing’s changed, other than the fact that more and more information comes out every week regarding the impact and effects of THC on the brain the body and long term use, and the impacts of that,” Perry said ahead of the initial vote on Monday. “This stuff is not good and it’s harmful for those that use it, specifically on a long-term basis.”

Before Tuesday’s final vote, Perry claimed that “every state that has legalized recreational pot may have less people in prison, but they have more people laying on the street—and definitely, from a business community, less people working because of lost productivity.”

“With that, I hope that the ban goes through…and sends a strong message: We don’t need to be another California, Colorado, Oregon, New Mexico, New York City,” he said.

Democratic House lawmakers staged a walkout during the first special session Abbott convened—denying the chamber a quorum in protest of a proposed redistricting plan for the state’s congressional map. Now as those members have ended their protest and head back to the legislature, hemp legislation is advancing again.

The bill approved by the Senate would continue to outright ban cannabis products with “any amount” of cannabinoids other the CBD and CBG. Even mere possession of a prohibited cannabis item would be punishable as a Class B misdemeanor, carrying up to 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.

California AG Bonta ‘running out the clock’ to stop parental rights initiative, appeals court hears

California law required Attorney General Rob Bonta to write a neutral title and summary for a 2024 ballot measure to mandate parental notification when children request to be identified as the opposite sex in school records, limit girls’ sports to females and prohibit puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and genital surgery for gender-confused youth.

Having just sued a school district for the same parental notification policy, the Democratic attorney’s title for the Protect Kids of California Act seemed predictable: “Restricts Rights of Transgender Youth.”

His summary used the same framing, referring to males who identify as girls as “transgender female students,” claiming the parental notification mandate lacks an “exception for student safety” and referring to medicalized gender transitions as “gender-affirming health care.”

Sixteen months after a trial judge upheld Bonta’s phrasing as “accurately and impartially” conveying the substance of the measure, which under Bonta’s language fell short of the required signatures for the ballot within the 180-day collection window, Protect Kids California’s crusade to give voters a direct say in the matter may founder on a technicality.

Polling suggests voters would approve the measure, with majority support for each of the three prongs, but an appeals panel repeatedly grilled the group’s lawyer at a hearing Monday on why the case wasn’t moot in light of Protect Kids California’s litigation choices.

The three judges essentially made Bonta’s argument for him as Liberty Justice Center counsel Emily Rae tried to redirect them toward Bonta’s “malfeasance,” for what its lawsuit called his “inaccurate, false, and biased” language. The panel, by contrast, asked deputy AG Malcolm Brudigam just a single question during the state’s argument.

Geoengineering and Flights of Fancy

Geoengineering in the form of modifying the weather happens. It can save decimation of farmer livelihoods by mitigating droughts, and it can risk the global food supply by reducing crop growth. Like nuclear fission, it’s useful in the hands of sane people working with the knowledge and assent of the wider community, or it has the potential to destroy much of what humankind has built if left in the hands of psychopaths. If we can approach it in a calm and rational manner, we may yet stop the psychopaths.

During the Second World War, bomber crews were said to hate the contrails their planes produced, providing white fingers across the sky that pointed enemy fighters directly at them. These have seemingly exploded across our skies as commercial air travel has multiplied, but like boiling frogs, surprisingly few really noticed until others pointed out the heat. Living in Geneva, Switzerland, during the weeklong grounding of aircraft due to the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland in 2010, we had clear spring skies for the first time. Not a trail, not a wisp of residual cloud. Normal, it turned out, was not natural.

Condensation trails, or contrails, are clouds formed from condensation and from the water and particles that are emitted from aircraft engine exhaust. Fine particles released in the right conditions form a nidus on which droplets can form in humid, cold air. Jet engines also emit water as a combustion product. The very low pressure on the upper wing surface, the reason airplanes stay up in the air, also allows water vapor to precipitate. This is well-documented, almost as old as high-flying aircraft, and annoying when you want to photograph a good sunset in much of Europe or North America.

Contrails can contribute to cirrus cloud formation, while aircraft changing altitude can also create some really otherworldly holes in cloud layers, such as on airport approaches. Clouds come and go naturally, from the ground to the upper atmosphere, if the conditions are right. Aircraft just help the process. And as clouds have sharp edges (when viewed from a distance), contrails can seem to turn on and off for the same reason (temperature and humidity at various altitudes).

There is a school of thought that streaks across the sky, or most of them, only began to appear recently and are the result of nefarious intent – geoengineering. The theory is that a whole hidden industry exists to make chemicals, transport them to airports, install them on commercial (i.e., passenger) aircraft or place them in fuel, and then release them at certain times or in certain regions. This, performed at scale, would require thousands of willing people, who all remain silent on the issue. This is possible, but people talk, including pilots, fuelers, manufacturing workers, truck drivers, and airport security guards, so it is a little hard to imagine at scale. Part of an air force may follow some stupid government agenda, and perhaps do. But that is a tiny minority of flights.

However, airborne geoengineering does happen. It has for nearly a century, particularly with the intent to provide rain during droughts or more routinely in arid inhabited regions. In Australia and the United States, for instance, government agencies have for many decades sprayed compounds such as silver iodide from an aircraft to precipitate water vapour and cause rain during droughts. The hope is to save cattle farmers from ruin or augment a city’s failing water supply. These are not bad things, while mass cattle death and bankruptcy often are.

Parents Face Jail Time if Kids Go Wild: NJ Township’s Bold New Crackdown

In Gloucester Township, New Jersey, a new ordinance titled “Minors and Parent Responsibility” took effect following its passage by the township council on July 28, 2025.

This measure holds parents or guardians legally accountable for offenses committed by their children under 18, aiming to address public disturbances through increased supervision.

The ordinance emerged in response to escalating juvenile incidents, reflecting broader concerns about youth behavior in the community.

The catalyst for this law was a chaotic brawl at the township’s annual community day event on June 1, 2024, during a drone light show at Veterans Park.

Around 500 unsupervised youths gathered, leading to multiple fights that required assistance from neighboring police departments and resulted in 12 arrests, including 10 juveniles aged 13 to 17.

Two officers sustained injuries, and the event, which supported the Gloucester Township Scholarship Committee for over 40 years, was disrupted, prompting the cancellation of the 2025 celebration.

Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins described the 2024 incident as involving unprecedented disrespect and violence from unsupervised teens, many dropped off via rideshares from outside areas.

Under the ordinance, parents face graduated consequences based on the frequency of their child’s offenses.
