Humanity’s Doomsday Clock: Experts Bet on 1-in-6 Odds of Total Wipeout

Experts estimate varying probabilities for human extinction or severe societal collapse within the coming decades.

Toby Ord, in his book “The Precipice,” assesses a one-in-six chance of existential catastrophe this century, encompassing risks from artificial intelligence and other factors.

Nick Bostrom’s work highlights a median expert estimate of 19 percent for human extinction from global catastrophic risks.

Jared Diamond predicts a 50-50 chance of survival beyond 2050, based on patterns of past civilizations.

Historical research shows civilizations often collapse due to recurring factors. Luke Kemp’s analysis of over 400 societies across 5,000 years indicates that inequality and elite overreach frequently lead to self-termination.

Diamond identifies environmental damage, climate shifts, and poor societal responses as key contributors to downfall.

These patterns suggest modern global interconnectedness could amplify impacts, leaving no recovery options.

Nuclear weapons remain a primary threat, with around 10,000 warheads held by nations including the United States, Russia, China, and others.

Recent assessments place nuclear risk alongside climate change and AI in pushing the Doomsday Clock to its closest point to midnight.

Engineered pandemics and biological threats add to the list, potentially spreading rapidly via global travel.

Kemp suggests that climate change now proceeds at a rate ten times faster than historical extinctions, risking agricultural declines and mass migrations. By 2070, up to two billion people may face extreme heat, halving viable land for key crops.

Developing regions could suffer most from these shifts, though subsistence farming might mitigate some food shortages in Africa.

Artificial intelligence poses risks of misalignment or unintended consequences, with experts warning of potential catastrophe.

Israel Targets Yemen’s Capital With Massive Strikes Near Presidential Complex, Missile Bases

Israel’s military conducted airstrikes on Yemen’s Houthi-controlled capital, Sanaa, on Sunday, targeting high-profile sites in a significant escalation of hostilities.

The strikes hit areas near the presidential palace, the Asar and Hizaz power plants, and Houthi facilities suspected of housing artillery, including ballistic missiles, according to regional reports.

The operation was a direct response to recent Houthi attacks on Israel, including projectile launches on Friday, a military source told the Jerusalem Post. While Israel has previously targeted Houthi infrastructure, its strikes have largely focused on the strategic port city of Hodeida, a critical economic and military hub. The shift to Sanaa signals a broader and more aggressive approach to the conflict.

At least two people were killed and five others injured, Al Masirah, a Houthi-affiliated media outlet reported, according to Al Jazeera.

“The attacks were carried out in response to repeated attacks by the Houthi terrorist regime against the state of Israel and its citizens, including the launch of surface-to-surface missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles towards the country’s territory,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

Foreign Nationals Now Make Up Majority of Austria’s Prison Population as Knife Crime Hits Record High

In 2024, Austrian police identified approximately 336,000 crime suspects, marking a significant increase from 255,815 in 2014.

Foreign nationals accounted for 46.8 percent of these suspects, totaling around 157,000 individuals. This figure represents a record high for foreign involvement in reported crimes.

Among foreign suspects in 2024, Romanians topped the list with about 18,900 individuals identified by authorities.

Germans followed in second place with 13,600 suspects, while Syrians ranked third at 11,868. Serbs came next with 11,688, and Afghans placed eighth with 6,320 suspects.

These statistics encompass all crimes, ranging from theft to violent offenses. In 2014, foreigners made up 89,594 of the total suspects, showing a rise in their proportional involvement over the decade.

Austria’s overall population grew to 9.2 million by January 2025, with non-Austrian citizens numbering 1.86 million, or about 20 percent.

Knife-related incidents, including stabbings and threats, reached 2,596 cases in 2024, up from 1,996 in 2014. This marked the highest level in the observed period. By contrast, firearm crimes declined sharply from 672 in 2014 to 352 in 2024.

Vienna reported the most knife incidents in 2024 at 1,121 cases. Upper Austria followed with 345, Styria with 274, and Lower Austria with 273. Burgenland had the fewest at 44, while Carinthia recorded 90.

As of January 1, 2025, Austria’s prisons held 5,121 foreign nationals and 4,536 Austrians. Foreigners comprised over half of the inmate population, despite representing roughly 20 percent of residents. By July 2025, the foreign share stood at 52.8 percent.

Immigration trends show Austria received 93,000 new long-term immigrants in 2022, a 22 percent increase from 2021.

In 2023, foreign suspects numbered 150,500, or 46 percent of total suspects. Germans formed the largest non-citizen group at 239,500 as of early 2025.

Terrifying new details of Canada’s advancing assisted suicide laws… including push to euthanize newborn BABIES

Canada‘s assisted suicide laws have continued rapidly expanding in recent years, with a group of doctors now pushing for disabled newborn babies to be euthanized.

The demand for euthanasia is so high that doctors who provide it cannot keep up, according to a new report by The Atlantic.

Assisted dying, legalized in 2016, now accounts for about one out of 20 deaths in Canada, far surpassing countries where it’s been legal for longer.

As assisted deaths have become a major part of Canada’s health care system, the Quebec College of Physicians suggested legalizing euthanasia for infants born severely ill.

As The Atlantic noted, the practice is legal in the Netherlands – the first country to adopt it since Nazi Germany did it in 1939.

In 2022, Louis Roy from the Quebec College of Physicians raised the notion of euthanasia for babies up to a year old ‘who are born with severe deformations, very grave and severe medical syndromes, whose life expectancy and level of suffering are such that it would make sense to ensure that they do not suffer.’

While parents already have the option of stopping treatment for babies suffering from medical conditions, the proposal would accelerate the infant’s death, sparking questions about consent.

Ghislaine Maxwell Says Lady Rothschild Introduced Prince Andrew to Jeffrey Epstein – Philanthropist Also Introduced Disgraced Financier to Alan Dershowitz and Bill Clinton

The two-day interview of Ghislaine Maxwell with the DOJ continues generating headlines.

After the complete audio recordings and transcriptions of the interviews have been released, many nuggets of information have called the attention of the press and the public, including the relationship between the late convicted sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein and a world-famous British-American philanthropist.

During questioning by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Ghislaine Maxwell denied introducing Prince Andrew to Jeffrey Epstein, and said the two of them met for the first time at the holiday home Lady Lynn Forrester de Rothschild.

The Telegraph reported:

“’First of all, let’s just state, I did not introduce him [Epstein] to Prince Andrew. I did not introduce him to Prince Andrew or to Sarah Ferguson. That is a flat untruth. I’ll start with that’, Maxwell said over nine hours of interviews over two days in July.”

Lady de Rothschild was born in New Jersey, and is a telecommunications businesswoman turned investor, today chairing EL Rothschild, a wealth management firm which has The Economist Group in its portfolio.

“’She had a house or she rented a house in the Vineyard. I think it was in the Vineyard or Nantucket, I can’t remember now which one it was’, Maxwell told Todd Blanche, deputy attorney-general and a former personal lawyer for Donald Trump.

‘It was one of those. It was either in Nantucket or the Vineyard, and invited Epstein to go, and I believe that’s when he met Prince Andrew’.”

ACIP Launches Sweeping Covid-19 Vaccine Review Under Retsef Levi

MIT professor Retsef Levi has been an outspoken voice on the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee (ACIP) since its dramatic overhaul in June.

He has pressed agency officials on uncomfortable questions, challenging the narrow surveillance windows used to track harms and insisting that delayed effects could not simply be ruled out.

He also raised concerns about the safety of RSV monoclonal antibodies after clinical trials showed a clear imbalance in infant deaths.

Now, Levi is no longer just a dissenter.

He has been appointed chair of the CDC’s new Covid-19 vaccine working group, and with today’s release of its Terms of Reference, the scale of his task has come into sharp focus.

Under the guidance of Levi and his colleagues, the ACIP working group now has a mandate unlike anything the committee has ever undertaken.

For the first time, federal advisers will investigate the unresolved issues that have dogged the vaccines since their rushed rollout in late 2020.

From DNA contamination in the manufacturing process to the persistence of spike protein and mRNA in the body, from immune class switching following repeated boosting to safety in pregnancy, cardiovascular risks, and long-term disability, the list of questions is as sweeping as it is sensitive. (full list below)

The Terms of Reference stretch far beyond the narrow remit that characterised ACIP’s early deliberations, when myocarditis was acknowledged as the only confirmed harm and most safety reviews stopped at 42 days.

Levi and his team are now tasked with probing long-term outcomes, mapping vaccine policies around the world, and assessing, to what extent, years of official reassurances about safety and efficacy hold up against emerging data.

It is a striking reversal for the CDC and the FDA.

Indicted Democrat Rep’s Siblings Also Implicated in Corruption

The Cuellar political machine in South Texas is collapsing under the weight of its own corruption.

Congressman Henry Cuellar was indicted in May 2024 for accepting over $600,000 in bribes from a Mexican bank and Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil company.

But the problem extends far beyond the congressman.

According to reporting from NOTUS and statements from local officials, Henry Cuellar’s siblings—Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar and former municipal judge Rosie Cuellar—benefited from improper appointments, financial favoritism, and misuse of government staff.

Neither has been charged.

In 2023, the FBI raided the Webb County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Cuellar told the press he was not the subject of the investigation. However, multiple officials confirmed that sheriff’s office employees were ordered to perform political work for the Cuellar family during official business hours.

That included campaign fundraising, voter outreach, and logistical support for Cuellar’s re-election efforts.

Public records show staff were reassigned from law enforcement roles to campaign duties, including organizing events.

Some employees were instructed to attend campaign functions while still on the county payroll. The sheriff ignored requests for comment.

The corruption extended to Rosie Cuellar, who in 2022 was appointed to a municipal judgeship in a border town that has no active courthouse.

She never heard a case.

The salary she received for the position has not been disclosed.

Gavin Newsom declares war on the Marines

Term limited California Governor Gavin Newsom is running for the Democrat Party nomination for President in 2028. He’s not certain against whom he’ll be running, so he’s running against America. He’s been governing against California for years, so why not extend that kind of governance to the whole country?

California Governor Gavin Newsom attacked the U.S. Marines and National Guard on Saturday as “bringing war to the American people” in trashing their recent mission to restore order to the streets of Los Angeles.

His purpose: to attack President Donald Trump, who is campaigning for the Nobel Peace Prize by trying to resolve conflicts around the world.

In his first seven months in office, Trump has ended at least six wars and for the first time it appears possible he’ll end the war between Ukraine and Russia, a conflict that has cost Russia untold billions and a million of its young men wounded, captured or killed. That’s quite the campaign. Even should that effort fail, it’s impossible to identify a more deserving recipient of the Peace Prize in this or the last century.

Yale’s Censored Vaccine Injury Research and the Urgent Need for Scientific Reform

One premier research group has bravely studied the vaccine-injured and provided many critical details about their multi-year illnesses.

•Unfortunately, despite their excellent research, medical journals have refused to publish their results, including the most recent study which showed clear differences exist between long COVID and COVID-19 vaccine injuries.

•Science is ultimately predicated upon the methods we use discern what is actually true (epistemology). As this subject has been neglected, our epistemological standards frequently result in existing dogmas and vested interests being reaffirmed while critically important data never reaches the public awareness (e.g., due to widespread medical journal censorship).

•During COVID-19, the severe abuses of the scientific community (which ultimately resulted from it having no accountability for failing to uphold its social responsibilities) broke the public trust in science, and allowed something previously inconceivable—MAHA to gain control of our corrupt scientific apparatus and have a mandate to reform it.

•NIH director Jay Bhattacharya has announced his commitment to fixing the scientific apparatus and has engaged in a variety of NIH initiatives and public discussions which are vital to allowing science to serve the people rather than vested-interests.

Yale’s medical school is widely considered to have one of the top autoimmunity research and treatment programs in America. As long COVID is considered to be immunological in nature, their researchers extensively studied it, and remarkably some of them then pivoted to also studying vaccine injuries (in part because the COVID vaccines rather than curing long COVID patients, sometimes made them much worse). A few days ago, they finished a new research paper on the subject, but like their previous ones, it was immediately summarily rejected by the “reputable” journals it was submitted to (including the one I feel was the most obligated to publish these findings). In this article, I aim to cover the importance of their most recent results and, more important, examine what their habitual censorship reveals about science in general.

Friedrich Merz, Are You Nuts?

Do you know what German Chancellor Merz did?

Amidst serious negotiations to end the bloody and destructive Ukraine war, this guy’s putting up a veritable roadblock right in front of progress.

Here’s what it is: Merz was in Washington along with several other European leaders for a Ukraine meeting with President Trump. When it came Merz’s turn to talk he expressed, “I can’t imagine that the next meeting would take place without a ceasefire.”

Clearly no one in the world with a heart would like to see the fighting go on. So at first glance a ceasefire seems like a quick fix. But Merz’s strongly spoken statement had strings. Pointedly, he wants to delay peace talks until a ceasefire takes hold.

There’s one enormous obstacle to that. There’s a strong reason why Russian President Putin would be very reluctant to accept Merz’s condition. It’s simple to understand:

Earlier in Ukraine hostilities both Germany and France achieved Putin’s agreement to a ceasefire while a negotiated a peace agreement was underway. The efforts were called the Minsk Accords.

Doesn’t that sound like what Merz is proposing now? But it turned out in an unexpected way.

After a period of ceasefire and negotiating, the German and French leaders publically admitted they had tricked Putin into the ceasefire. They confessed their real objective was not peace. It was to buy time to better equip Ukraine to fight Russia.

You may have heard the idiom, “once fooled, twice shy.” It’s a modern version of the Old English translation from Aesop’s Fables that goes, “He that hath ben ones begyled by somme other ought to kepe hym wel fro[m] the same.” That’s a position that Putin might well take with regard to Germany’s current leader. Why should he be trusted, particularly when it comes to a ceasefire?

Certainly Merz must know the background of this. He would be remiss not to understand that a ceasefire without a peace agreement might be as unattainable as the end of a rainbow. That’s what leads me to suspect that Merz must be deliberately sabotaging the peace process, as would be any other European leader who joins him in his emphatic request.

It is time to address the significant real obstacles that must be faced if a settlement of territory is to take place.

For instance, Ukrainian President Zelensky claims that his constitution is a roadblock to such a settlement. But he is only partly right.

It is true that the Ukrainian constitution does not allow him to divide territory. He also offered another roadblock in that even changing the constitution would not be a simple matter. It would require an extensive public referendum he says.

He is right on both points. But he is wrong to represent them as ultimate roadblocks or even something that would result in much delay. In the past, Ukraine, in the view of its leaders, successfully negotiated a way to deal with problematic constitutional provisions that stood in its way.

This happened when leaders found it cumbersome to remove the democratically elected Viktor Yanukovych from the presidency. Some reports claimed he was impeached. But the votes weren’t there to do that according to the constitution. Other reports claimed that he removed himself by abandoning his office when he fled for his life amidst immediate threats. But the constitution wasn’t followed there either. Nonetheless, they got rid of Yanukovych.

Here’s how they did it. The Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, simply passed a resolution. It said that the current circumstance was threatening to Ukraine, a mass violation of citizens’ rights and freedom, and a circumstance of extreme urgency. As a result they removed Yanukovych while not observing the constitution.

Now, all Ukraine has to do is to repeat that technique. Is not the current circumstance threatening to Ukraine, a mass violation of citizens’ rights and freedom, and a circumstance of extreme urgency, too?
