Ron Paul On ‘The Real’ Jan. 6th Coup

In my first column after the events of Jan. 6th, 2021, I criticized those who called the protest a “coup,” pointing out that, “Some of the same politicians and bureaucrats denouncing the ridiculous farce at the Capitol as if it were the equivalent of 9/11 have been involved for decades in planning and executing real coups overseas. In their real coups, many thousands of civilians have died.”

The media at the time played up the violence committed by a relative few at the protest to stoke a national outcry and demands for “justice.” More than 1,500 Americans were charged over the incident and nearly 500 were imprisoned, including outrageous prison sentences for relatively minor crimes like entering the Capitol building through doors opened by the police, and filming the event.

While most Democrats and Republicans in Congress harshly denounced the January 6th “insurrectionists,” a few Members displayed the appropriate skepticism over accepted government narratives. Rep. Thomas Massie, for example, was relentless in his search for answers to a simple but critically important question: How many of the “insurrectionists” were actually undercover FBI agents and other law enforcement officers and what role might they have played in inciting the violence.

Massie grilled then-Attorney General Merrick Garland several times, but Garland would not budge. He refused to say whether there had been any undercover federal agents in the crowd, though of course he must have known.

Last week we learned a little more of the truth. With the release of the FBI’s long lost “after action” report, we now know that more than 250 undercover agents were in the crowd. According to the report, they were given roles including crowd control that they were not suited for. Some agents cited in the report complained of political biases in the Bureau against conservatives. What other tasks might have been given to a “politicized” FBI undercover team?

In addition to the undercover agents, there were more than two dozen paid informants in the Jan. 6th crowd. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), who chairs the subcommittee investigating the matter, asks an important question: “With that many paid informants being in the crowd, we want to know how many were in the crowd, how many were in the building, but I also want to know, were they paid to inform or instigate?”

Were they paid to inform, or to instigate? That is a good question. We do know that the event was used by the incoming Biden Administration to demonize and persecute the political opposition. There is no telling how many Americans would have liked to use their First Amendment guarantee of free speech to criticize the Biden Administration but were silenced by fear of persecution, or worse. It’s easy to conclude, seeing so many arrested and handed long sentences for non-violent “crimes,” that it’s better to keep quiet. At the time, the US was still in the grip of Covid tyranny, where speaking out against “the Science” could get you “cancelled” or worse. This was another way to silence people who were not “going along with the program.”

In the end, January 6th, 2021, was a coup of sorts. It was a coup against the First Amendment. The lesson for all of us is that if we do not regularly but peacefully exercise our First Amendment guarantees we will definitely lose them, regardless of who is in power.

Britain’s policing minister punts facial recog nationwide

The government is to encourage police forces across England and Wales to adopt live facial recognition (LFR) technology, with a minister praising its use by the London’s Metropolitan Police in a suburb in the south of the city.

Policing minister Sarah Jones confirmed the UK government is consulting on guidance on where, when, and how police forces can use LFR with publication due later this year. “What we’ve seen in Croydon is that it has worked,” she told a fringe event at the Labour party conference on September 29, referring to the Met’s installation of permanent LFR cameras in the town.

“We just need to make sure it’s clear what the technology is going to be useful for going forward. If we are going to use it more, if we do want to roll it out across the country, what are the parameters?” she added. “Live facial recognition is a really good tool that has led to arrests that wouldn’t have come otherwise and it’s very, very valuable.”

In August, the Home Office said that seven more police forces will start using ten new vans kitted out with LFR technology, in addition to existing use by the Metropolitan Police in London and South Wales Police. At the time it said the two forces have used LFR to make 580 arrests over the previous 12 months.

Netanyahu hails TikTok takeover as Israel’s new ‘weapon’ in information war

Benjamin Netanyahu described the expected purchase of the social media platform TikTok by allies of Israel as the acquisition of a “weapon” that is “most important” to “fight the fight.” And he believes this development “could be extremely consequential.”

The Israeli prime minister was speaking to a group of “pro-Israel influencers” in a meeting after his address at the United Nations General Assembly last Friday were an overwhelming majority of national delegations walked out in apparent protest to what is widely considered a genocidal war he and his nation are inflicting against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

A media release from Netanyahu’s office reported the prime minister spoke with this group of “pro-Israel American influencers” about “challenges in the new era, as well as the public diplomacy efforts and the influence of the social networks on the discourse for and against Israel.”

Asked about how to combat dangers to the Zionist cause due to a potential loss of Evangelical support in the United States, which is also impacted by popular Israel-critics Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, Netanyahu directed his listeners to considering social media as “tools for battle” and then emphasized the expected purchase of TikTok to be “most important” in serving Israel’s interests in this regard.

“What we have to do is we have to secure that part of the base of our support in the United States, that is being challenged systematically… How do we fight back? Our influencers, I think you should also talk to them if you have a chance,” the prime minister said. “And secondly, we’re going to have to use the tools of battle. The weapons change over time… we have to fight with the weapons that apply to the battlefields within which we’re engaged. And the most important ones are on social media.”

Netanyahu then celebrated “the most important purchase that is going on right now” that he identified as being TikTok. “And I hope it goes through because it can be consequential.”

Here We Go: Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker Accuses President Trump of Having Dementia, Calls for 25th Amendment to Be Invoked

Accusing President Donald Trump of having dementia and calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) upped his war of words with Trump on Tuesday over Trump ordering federal agents and a small number of National Guard troops deployed to Chicago to help fight rampant crime and illegal immigration in the city, and to protect ICE agents and facilities.

Pritzker was triggered by Trump suggesting using crime ridden “dangerous cities” like Chicago as training for National Guard troops during remarks to generals and admirals assembled for a special meeting at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia earlier Tuesday.

Pritzker spoke at a food insecurity event with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) at the City Colleges of Chicago.

The Heartland Signal posted a video clip of Pritzker opening his remarks to reporters by accusing Trump of having dementia, “It appears that Donald Trump not only has dementia set in, but he’s copying tactics of Vladimir Putin. Sending troops into cities, thinking that that’s some sort of proving ground for war or that indeed there’s some sort of internal war going on in the United States is just frankly inane, and I’m concerned for his health.”

CIA Officers Helped Block Investigation into Ukrainian Energy Company that Employed Hunter Biden

n February 21, 2019, a confidential source told the FBI that two CIA officers went with Mykola Zlochevsky, owner of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company that appointed Hunter Biden to its board, to the office of Yuriy Lutsenko, the prosecutor general of Ukraine from May 2016 to August 2019.

According to a newly declassified document released by Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA), the CIA men told Lutsenko that Zlochevsky was “protected by the U.S.” and urged Lutsenko to stop the investigation on Zlochevsky and let him back into Ukraine.

Subsequently, a deal was made whereby Zlochevsky could pay $3 million in damages to get back into Ukraine while avoiding prosecution for an assortment of white-collar crimes.

The same source told the FBI that then-Vice President Joe Biden had met directly with then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko “to protect the interests” of his son and, by extension, Zlochevsky, who was paying Hunter around $1 million per year between May 2014 and April 2019 to serve on Burisma’s board.

UT-Battelle to pay $2.8 million in COVID-19 vaccine requirement settlement

UT-Battelle agreed to pay more than $2.8 million to employees after a lawsuit over COVID-19 vaccine requirements, said the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

UT-Battelle is the managing contractor of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. During its investigation, EEOC said it found reasonable cause to believe that UT-Battelle had discriminated against ORNL employees by denying them religious accommodations from the COVID-19 vaccine mandates. This would violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, EEOC said.

“I am grateful for the field’s hard work in this investigation, and UT-Battelle’s commitment to voluntarily rectifying its alleged Title VII violations by compensating its employees and agreeing to injunctive relief is commendable,” said EEOC Acting Chair Lucas. “While COVID-19 vaccine mandates were a novelty, our long-standing civil rights laws remain unchanged — absent an undue hardship, employers must provide a reasonable accommodation to its employees for their sincerely held religious beliefs.”

Per the agreement, UT-Battelle will provide back pay and compensatory damages to those affected and train its human resources personnel on religious accommodation requests.

“UT-Battelle has always respected the religious beliefs and practices of its employees,” said Stephen Streiffer, president and CEO of UT-Battelle. “The COVID-19 pandemic required extraordinary measures to protect staff members’ health and safety while they worked together to keep the lab open. During unprecedented times, their dedication allowed us to continue fulfilling our national missions, including the production of medical isotopes to fight cancer and support national security. We appreciate the assistance of the EEOC in resolving these disputes, which allows us to move forward fully focused on our work for the nation.”

Reporter Now Covering the Trump White House for Politico Said That She Cried When Trump Won in 2016

The media is overwhelmingly liberal. We all know this. Journalists today seem more like propagandists for the Democrat party than reporters.

Even so, sometimes things happen that remind us just how biased the media really is.

Enter reporter Cheyanne Daniels of Politico, who covers the Trump White House. Back in 2016, when Trump pulled off a surprise win, Daniels wrote on social media that she cried.

Those are not the actions of an impartial journalist. That’s the behavior of a dedicated partisan.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

Politico Reporter Who Said She Cried Over Trump’s Election Now Covers His Presidency

As a master’s student at Northwestern University’s esteemed journalism school in 2020, Cheyanne Daniels revealed that she cried when President Donald Trump was elected four years earlier because she knew “horrible things were to come.” She now covers the Trump presidency for Politico.

Daniels joined the outlet as a breaking news reporter in May following a three-year stint as a “race and politics reporter” for The Hill, where she covered both the 2024 election and stories like, “John Boyega: ‘Star Wars’ ‘most whitest, elite space,’” and, “‘Power Rangers’ actor splits with writer, says casting a ‘milestone.’”

Her reporting is now largely focused on the White House, the subject of several of her posts on social media. On Nov. 7, 2020, the day the Associated Press called the presidential election for Joe Biden, Daniels tweeted: “4 years ago, I cried when I realized Donald Trump had been elected, knowing horrible things were to come. Now, I’m in my apartment in D.C., hearing people cheering in the streets screaming that he has been defeated, and I’m crying once again. But for a very different reason.”

One week later, Daniels’s euphoria seemed to fade. “Trump may have lost the election,” she wrote, “but over 70 million people voted for him — and some of those voters were people who felt, like their demagogue, that MY life as a Black woman doesn’t matter, that I shouldn’t exist, I threaten the purity of white power.”

This person is not a reporter. She’s clearly an activist.

Trump Admin’s $20 Billion ‘Bail Out’ for Argentina’s Milei Raises Eyebrows

The Trump administration says it is working to provide tens of billions of dollars to Argentina’s President Javier Milei, in a financial bailout that many critics say clashes with President Donald Trump’s “America First” platform.

The U.S. State Department told Newsweek Thursday that the America First Foreign Assistance programs must align with administration policies and advance concrete U.S. national interests.

Why It Matters

On Wednesday, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed the United States is in talks to provide $20 billion to Milei. The announcement comes months after the Trump administration dismantled the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in an effort to instead support programs aligned with Trump’s “America First” agenda.

Argentina is one of the largest South American economies and has notable natural resources, including oil, gas, uranium, and lithium, which are often used in batteries.

DOJ Sues LA County Sheriff Over Alleged Second Amendment Violations in Gun Permitting

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has sued the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for allegedly denying residents’ Second Amendment rights through an inordinately long concealed weapons permit application process.

The lawsuit, filed by the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, comes on the heels of a DOJ investigation and a partially successful lawsuit filed by the California Rifle and Pistol Association.

In the lawsuit filed Tuesday, the DOJ accuses Sheriff Robert Luna of overseeing a system designed to deny citizens’ Second Amendment rights.

“Between January 2024 and March 2025, Defendants received 3,982 applications for new concealed carry licenses. Of these, they approved exactly two—a mere 0.05 percent approval rate that cannot be explained by legitimate disqualifying factors alone,” the lawsuit states.

“This is not bureaucratic inefficiency; it is systematic obstruction of constitutional rights.”

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon said in a statement announcing the lawsuit that it “seeks to stop Los Angeles County’s egregious pattern and practice of delaying law-abiding citizens from exercising their right to bear arms.”

Warsaw Moves To Make Cult of Stepan Bandera a Crime – Ukrainian National Hero Is Considered a Nazi Collaborator and a War Criminal in Poland

Banderism to become a crime in Poland.

Ever since the war in Ukraine started, neighboring Poland has absorbed over a million citizens fleeing the conflict.

While most are contributing to Polish society, many are just enjoying social benefits, and – what’s much worse – some bring with themselves the neo-Nazi cult of Kiev regime hero Stepan Bandera.

Any neo-Nazi cult would be bad enough, but Bandera is the man responsible for the WW2-era Volyn massacre of Poles that took over a hundred thousand lives.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki sent to the Sejm (parliament) an amendment to the Act on the Institute of National Remembrance and to the Criminal Code.

The aim is to preventing ‘propagation of the ideology of Banderism’ and the denying the Volyn war crime.

RMF 24 reported (translated from the Polish):

“The amendment proposed by the president to the Act on the Institute of National Remembrance – Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation is aimed at ‘clarifying the provisions defining the concept of crimes committed by members and collaborators of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists of the Bandera faction and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and other Ukrainian formations collaborating with the Third German Reich’.”

Changes to the Criminal Code will add, for the penalty of up to 3 years in prison for propagating totalitarianism and inciting hatred, the phrase: ‘The same punishment is imposed on anyone who publicly propagates (…) the ideology of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists of the Bandera faction and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, or an ideology calling for the use of violence to influence political or social life’.
