Pfizer Freezes Air Traffic Control Funds in Poland and Romania Over COVID Vaccine Contract Dispute

Pfizer has frozen funds owed to air traffic control agencies in Poland and Romania as part of a contract dispute over COVID-19 vaccine deliveries, according to a report published July 31 by Children’s Health Defense [1]. The freeze followed an April 1 ruling by a court in Brussels that ordered Poland to pay about $1.5 billion and Romania about $640 million, plus interest and fees, for vaccine doses ordered under a 2021 European Union contract.

Polish and Romanian authorities stopped accepting further deliveries in 2022, citing falling demand. Both governments have said they will appeal the ruling. The enforcement action has raised questions about the financial stability of the two countries’ air navigation agencies, which rely on the funds.

Contract Origins and Refused Deliveries

The contract was signed between the European Commission and Pfizer in 2021, and it obligated participating member states to purchase additional doses. By 2022, Poland and Romania refused scheduled deliveries as demand declined. Poland cited financial pressure from hosting refugees fleeing Ukraine. Romanian political scientist Dragos Moldoveanu said Romania ordered 120 million doses despite a population below 20 million and had one of the European Union’s lowest vaccination rates.

Pfizer filed suit in 2023 after the countries did not pay for doses they declined to accept. Earlier contract terms had already drawn criticism. The Bureau of Investigative Journalism reported in February 2021 that Pfizer was demanding countries put up sovereign assets as collateral for expected vaccine injury lawsuits [2].

Legal Enforcement and Appeals

Because the contract is governed by Belgian law, the case is being heard in Brussels. Polish public broadcaster TVP World reported that Poland asked the Belgian court to delay enforcement while it appeals, but the request was rejected.

Dutch attorney Meike Terhorst called the action “outrageous and unethical” and said it could endanger flights. Lukasz Wojdyga of the Warsaw Enterprise Institute said the creditor has a legal right to enforce the judgment but called targeting air-safety funding “disproportionate and irresponsible.” Both governments have said they will protect the financial stability of the agencies and keep services running.

Transparency and Contract Scrutiny

The dispute has revived scrutiny of the EU vaccine procurement. Brussels Signal reported the EU-Pfizer contract was worth 35 billion euros ($40 billion), one of the largest contract awards in EU history. Governments and Pfizer have declined to release contract terms, saying the information is commercially confidential [3].

The European Court of Justice ruled in 2024 that the European Commission violated EU law when it denied The New York Times’ request to review text messages between Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla [4]. In 2025, a court ordered the disclosure of concealed texts related to the deal [5]. European Parliament member Gheorghe Piperea said the contract “ought never to have existed” because the EU exceeded its treaty powers. Transparency activist Frederic Baldan said von der Leyen negotiated directly with Bourla through self-destructing Signal messages, and that a Belgian Federal Police anti-corruption report found sufficient elements to establish offenses. Baldan said the European Public Prosecutor’s Office moved to have the investigation annulled.

The scale of the purchases also drew criticism from public health writers. Michel Chossudovsky questioned how a vaccine that normally takes years to develop was launched within months [6]. Joseph Mercola and Ronnie Cummins noted that the trials’ only criterion of success was a reduction of moderate to severe symptoms, not prevention of infection [7].

Russian Missile Strikes NATO Soil In Poland As Moscow Launches Widest Ukraine Assault Yet

In the early hours of Thursday, July 30th, something happened that NATO’s bureaucrats in Brussels are desperately hoping you will not dwell on: a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile crossed the Polish border during Moscow’s massive overnight assault on Ukraine and detonated in a field near Targowisko in eastern Poland, roughly 100 kilometers from the Ukrainian frontier. The explosion left a crater reported by multiple outlets to be approximately ten meters wide — 33 feet of scorched earth sitting inside sovereign NATO territory. Polish authorities confirmed they are investigating after the crater was discovered on Polish soil, and Warsaw scrambled fighter jets to secure its airspace alongside allied aircraft, according to Reuters.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated directly that the Russian Kh-101 cruise missile “violated NATO airspace” and crossed into Poland, per Ukrainian officials cited by Ukrainian news outlet UNN. The BBC confirmed that Ukraine’s foreign ministry said the missile had “crossed into Poland” as part of the broader attack, “violating NATO airspace.” Poland confirmed the crater but as of publication was still formally investigating its origin — the careful diplomatic hedging of a government that knows exactly what happened and also knows that saying so plainly drags NATO to the edge of its Article 5 cliff.

The Russian barrage that spawned the Polish incident was itself one of the most extensive strikes of the entire war. According to NBC News and Reuters reporting as of the morning of July 30th, Russian air strikes killed at least 13 to 14 people across Ukraine on Thursday, including one person in Kyiv, with attacks stretching as far west as Lviv — a city not known for frontline exposure and just 70 kilometers from the Polish border.

The timing is not incidental. Russia launched this particular assault on the same day Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were both at the White House for back-to-back meetings with President Trump — meetings organized, in part, around the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham and the continuing Iran war. Moscow clearly chose this moment deliberately, striking at maximum diplomatic noise to test whether Washington’s attention was elsewhere.

What makes the Polish crater especially significant is what it reveals about the state of NATO’s collective nerve. Article 5 of the NATO treaty — the alliance’s foundational mutual defense clause — states that an attack on one member is an attack on all. A Russian missile detonating on Polish territory is, by any plain reading of that clause, exactly the kind of event Article 5 was written for. And yet NATO’s response, as of this writing, has been to carefully avoid saying so. Alliance officials have called for “investigations.” Warsaw has called for “verification.” Brussels has issued statements urging “calm.” The hedging is deliberate and revealing: NATO is not ready to invoke Article 5 over a single missile crater, and everyone — including Moscow — knows it.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki Vetoes Bills Giving Rights to Same-Sex Couples, Vows To Protect Marriage as ‘Union of a Man and a Woman’

Although Poland is governed by Liberal-Globalist Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the Donald J. Trump-aligned President is using his constitutional powers to good effect, defending the conservative values for which he was elected.

About a month ago, he took up the fight against Ukrainians honoring WW2 Nazi criminals who massacred 100,000 Poles and Jews, going as far as stripping Volodymyr Zelensky of Poland’s highest commendation, the White Eagle award.

Today, it arises that Nawrocki VETOED bills that would give same-sex couples new rights, and unapologetically vowed to protect marriage as ‘a union of a man and a woman’.

“Poland’s president vetoed two ​bills on Friday that would have introduced ‘cohabitation contracts’ for couples living together, dealing a blow to ‌same-sex couples in one of the few European Union countries with limited rights for LGBT people.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk took office in 2023 pledging to deliver reforms on abortion and LGBT rights, but divisions within his broad pro-European coalition as well as ​nationalist President Karol Nawrocki’s veto powers mean he has struggled to do so.”

The broken-hearted tone of Reuters reporting is totally unsurprising, at this point.

The legislation had secured support from across the governing coalition, but Nawrocki killed it.

Zelensky’s Honoring of Nazi Collaborators and War Criminals Gets Reprimanded by European Parliament – 60% of Polish Citizens Now AGAINST Ukraine’s Ascension to the EU

Zelensky’s seemingly infinite arrogance is hurting him.

While Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky was again fêted by Euro-Globalists in another one of those summits that yield a lot of MSM airtime but few results, there’s an undercurrent that is very worrying to the Kyiv regime.

The Globalists’ ‘favorite child,’ Zelensky, has had to defend himself against the accusation of not acting ‘in accordance with European values.’

The reason, as we have reported, is the Kiev regime’s insistence in honoring Nazi collaborators and War Criminals.

With these unacceptable choices, Zelensky enraged all of Poland, and not even Liberal-Globalist Donald Tusk can defend him at the moment.

Add to that the fact that Robert Fico, Slovakia’s prime minister, Andrej Babiš, his counterpart of the Czech Republic, and Peter Magyar, Hungary’s premier, are all against funding the Ukrainian war effort.

Poland Suspends Transference of MIG Fighter Jets to Ukraine – The Stated Reason, and the Probable Unspoken One

Drone tech, or the worship of Nazi collaborators and war criminals?

After the war in Iran appears to have found its way towards a peace settlement, the eyes of the world again turn to the Black Sea, where the bloodiest European war since WWW2 continues unabated.

Neighboring Poland has paused the transfer of promised MIG-29 Fighter Jets to Ukraine, to the dismay of Volodymyr Zelensky’s government and the MSM alike.

The stated reason for the pause was Kiev’s delay in sharing with of drone production technologies with the Polish.

This is a very believable reason – but for us following the Ukrainian bilateral relations, there is another very clear reason that is not being mentioned, as you can read in President Nawrocki Wants Zelensky Stripped of Top Polish Honor for Glorifying WW2 Nazi War Criminals.

​Zelensky has caused mass indignation in Poland by signing a decree recognizing a Ukrainian special forces unit’s ​contribution to the fight against Russian forces by naming it after the Ukrainian Insurgent ⁠Army (UPA).

The UPA was involved in ​the Volhynia massacres from 1943 to 1945, in which around 100,000 Poles were killed by Ukrainian nationalists.

Zelensky also transferred alleged WW2 war criminal Andriy Melnyk to a hero’s tomb in Kiev.

With all that, the relations soured considerably. Even Prime Minister Donald Tusk had to criticize the move.

Polish Minister Slams ‘Insane’ EU Climate Policies

EU’s ‘green’ agenda is a recipe for disaster.

You know the suicidal environmental policies emanating from Brussels are about to be ditched when even members of the Polish liberal government led by PM Donald Tusk are openly criticizing it.

Tusk was elected with a clear mandate to bring Poland closer to the EU after the conservatives from PiS had bucked the Globalist agenda on so many fronts.

But it turns out that the European Union has become so radicalized that even Tusk’s liberals can’t stomach it anymore.

EU cheerleaders from POLITICO hosted an Energy & Climate Forum in Brussels today, where Secretary of State Krzysztof Bolesta said the EU was ‘moving too fast’ in its emissions cut plans targeting heavy industry.

Politico reported:

“The speed at which the EU is pushing its industry to cut carbon emissions under the Emissions Trading System is ‘insane’, according to Poland’s deputy climate and environment minister [Krzysztof Bolesta].

[…] ‘This is insane. And it’s not one industry branch, it’s quite a few. So, for me, this topic is actually something that we need to change’, he said, adding the current trajectory would hand the EU ‘the moral high ground, but we’ll have no industry’.”

Zelensky loves his Nazis.

While Poland has been one of the most helpful allies to Ukraine during its 5-year war against Russia, there are unresolved issues from the past that could put the two neighbors on a collision course.

We’re talking, of course, about the war crimes and massacres perpetrated against Polish citizens by Ukrainian Nazi collaborators during World War II, beginning with Kiev’s national hero, Stephan Bandera.

For years now, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky and his government have refused to address these grievances, leading to a tense relationship.

Today, reports arise that President Karol Nawrocki wants a Polish state ​body to discuss stripping Zelensky of Poland’s top honor.

This comes after Ukraine renamed ‌an army unit after nationalist insurgents who massacred Poles in World War Two.

In a Reversal, Trump Announces 5,000 More Troops To Be Stationed in Poland, Citing Good Relationship With President Nawrocki

The situation of the US troops in Europe is in flux.

After many European NATO allies failed to live to their alliance with the US during the military confrontation against Iran, the US Donald J. Trump administration decided to accelerate the process of withdrawing troops from Europe.

The first move was to move 5,000 troops out of Germany, after ‘big mouth’ Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Iran had ‘humiliated’ the US during peace negotiations.

After that, a deployment of 4,000 troops to Poland was also reported to be canceled.

But today, in a reversal, Trump decided to send 5,000 more troops to Poland.

Reuters reported:

“Trump, in a Truth Social post, cited his relationship with Poland’s conservative nationalist president, Karol Nawrocki, as the reason behind his decision ​to send additional troops.

[…] The U.S. ​had been reviewing its troop presence in Europe and had ​long been expected to scale it back following demands from Trump that NATO take a larger role in the defense of Europe.”

We have been reporting here on TGP about the repercussions of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s offensive comment about the US operations in the Middle East, and the fierce response by Donald J. Trump, as you can read in Trump Hits Back at Germany’s Merz for Suggesting that Iran ‘Is Humiliating the US’, as Foreign Minister Wadephul Tries To Walk Back the Absurd Comments by failing Chancellor.

This is an unforced error by Merz that showed his true colors and his lack of appreciation for his US allies.

In fact, Merz is failing badly as head of government, as we reported in a post on Merz’s first year as Chancellor:

“Merz’s numbers are a record low: a mid-April poll shows only 18% of voters are satisfied with his work, while as much as 80% are dissatisfied. Even the majority of Merz voters are reportedly unhappy.”

Now that the withdrawal of US troops from Germany is considered a done deal, Trump is constantly asked whether the US troops withdrawn from Germany will be moved to Poland.

Now, Trump said that Warsaw favors the idea, and he considers it to be feasible.

Poland: Pedophilia, Bestiality Scandal Hits Tusk’s Party

The Kłodzko scandal could bring down the Civic Coalition (KO). 

This is the view of PiS candidate for prime minister, Przemysław Czarnek, despite the localized nature of the crime.

“This is a group of people who really have a lot on their minds,” the politician says.

A pedophilia and zoophilia scandal in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship has shocked Poland. Przemysław L., 45, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual offenses committed against underage girls, bestiality, and recording these acts on film and in photographs. 

According to Do Rzeczy, his ex-wife, Kamila L., a former Civic Platform activist, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for failing to provide assistance to her minor daughter from a previous relationship, who was a victim of rape, and for complicity in animal abuse.

Przemysław Czarnek, the PiS candidate for prime minister, commented on the shocking case and its possible political consequences on Telewizja Republika on Wednesday.

“This is a very serious scandal that will, in my opinion, sink the Civic Platform. I spoke about the Civic Platform and their absolutely scandalous behavior three years ago, when there was a debate on the vote of no confidence in me. And I shouted from the parliamentary podium that these people should be feared, because these people from the Civic Platform, the mayors of cities from the Civic Platform, finance associations and organizations with enormous public funds—over a billion złoty a year—that simply deal with dramatic issues,” said the former Minister of Education and Science. 

“I mentioned programs that were simply perverted by their very name,” he added.

As Czarnek pointed out, “this is a community of people who really have a lot going for them, financing these kinds of communities that commit these kinds of shameless, dramatic, criminal, anti-human actions against children, and against animals as well, because we are dealing with zoophilia there as well.”

Politicians from the Civic Coalition also commented on the situation.

“It’s difficult to hold someone accountable; it’s a situation that can happen to anyone. Anyone can have a neighbor like that whom they know nothing about until the police and prosecutors get involved,” one Civic Coalition MP told Wirtualna Polska.

The interviewees emphasize that the case involves a former Civic Coalition (KO) activist and a very low-level figure. The police and prosecutors acted, and the perpetrators were brought to justice, so it’s difficult to speak of the scandal’s political context. “It’s a local issue, perhaps also highlighted by local disputes between the mayor and the Civic Coalition,” notes the Civic Coalition politician.

Word has surfaced that Prime Minister Tusk is offering clarification.
