Zohran Mamdani flashes beaming smile in pic with Uganda bigwig who pushed law to jail gay people for life

Mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani flashed a beaming smile in a cringeworthy photo with a top Ugandan official who pushed harsh anti-LGBT policies — that included life imprisonment for gay people.

Mamdani met with Rebecca Kadaga in July during a break from the campaign trail — after winning the Democratic primary — that included a lavish celebration of his recent nuptials at a secluded Ugandan compound owned by his family.

“Delighted to meet with Zohran Mamdhani (sic), incoming Mayor of New York City. Good luck in the next phase of elections,” Kadaga said in a caption of a photo of her with a grinning Mamdani.

“Here with Zohran Mamdhani and Prof Mamdhani as Zohran returns to New York after his traditional wedding in Kampala,” she gushed in another photo of her, Mamdani and his father, Columbia University professor Mahmood Mamdani.

The Mamdani campaign was left scrambling Sunday as photos of the meeting re-emerged, as a spokesperson claimed the democratic socialist candidate was “unaware” of Kadaga’s widely reported status as an anti-gay crusader.

In 2012, then-Speaker Kadaga infamously said she was passing a draconian law imposing severe penalties against practicing homosexuals as a “Christmas gift” for supporters of the measure.

“Ugandans want that law as a Christmas gift. They have asked for it and we’ll give them that gift,” Kadaga said then.

Kremlin Denies Drone Incursions – ‘Something Fishy Going On’, Zelenskiy Ramps Up Drone Production

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov today denied Russian involvement in European drone incursions in recent weeks.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov cautioned EU leaders against blaming Russia for any drone incursion, saying they should expand their horizons instead, reported Russian state news agency TASS.

He rejected related accusations against Russia as groundless, referring to a recent report about the arrest of a European aircraft enthusiast for testing a drone. “The report said that guy was not even affiliated with Russia at all. While that is just a small unrelated case, well, [they should] expand their horizons,” Peskov concluded.

Europe has been swept with “drone hysteria” in recent days, with closures of the airspace over cities amid unidentified drone incursions. Mass media and politicians tend to link every such incident to Russia or its alleged plans to somehow strike the European Union amid the “drone wall” proposal put forward by Brussels, added TASS.

“There’s no reason to blame Russia for the drones spotted across Europe.

“There’s something strange about this whole story.”

Russia’s former president Medvedev chimed in.

“European cities have been engulfed by an epidemic of UFDs, or Unidentified Flying Drones.

“UAVs are everywhere: near military bases, airports, fields, and cities. Whose they are remains unclear.

“The main thing is for short-sighted Europeans to feel the danger of war, to tremble and shake like dumb animals driven to slaughter, to soil themselves with fear of their coming end.

“Maybe then they will understand war and tear the heads off freaks like Merz and Macron, who profit from blood.”

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy highlighted the country’s progress in building domestic drone production.

“Our production potential for drones and missiles next year will already be $35 billion.

“We are already producing 40 Bohdan howitzers per month… and 2.4 million mortar and artillery munitions last year.

“We have successfully used Neptunes… soon we will regularly use our own ballistic missiles.

“Already, more than 40% of the weapons used on the front are Ukrainian. By the end of the year, no less than 50% must be our own weapons.

“The time has come to launch the export of our Ukrainian weapons.”

Why Isn’t the Department of Justice Prosecuting Letitia James for Mortgage Fraud?

Republican strategist Roger Stone asked bluntly on Twitter on Saturday, “Who at the DOJ is blocking the prosecution of the entire Russian Collusion cabal as well as crooks like Letitia James and Adam Schiff?”

President Donald Trump has echoed similar frustrations on Truth Social, demanding action against New York Attorney General Letitia James, who pursued the civil fraud case against himself and his organization in New York.

The question now reverberating through conservative circles is clear: why is the Department of Justice refusing to act?

One of Donald Trump’s most consequential missteps during his first term was his refusal to take control of the Department of Justice, the very branch he led as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.

Trump seemed to be intimidated by the media and Democrats who screamed for the DOJ to remain “independent.”

As a result, the DOJ launched investigations and prosecutions targeting Trump and his allies, from Paul Manafort to Roger Stone, while ignoring mounting evidence of misconduct by government officials involved in the Russia hoax.

When Joe Biden took over, the DOJ became even more partisan, prosecuting January 6 protesters and Donald Trump himself.

For his second term, Trump vowed reform. His initial choice for Attorney General, Congressman Matt Gaetz, withdrew amid congressional backlash, leading to the appointment of former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.

But Bondi’s record of capitulating to the mob was largely unknown. In 2012 in Florida, she bowed to media and protesters led by Al Sharpton and Ben Crump by appointing a special prosecutor in the George Zimmerman case, despite the police having already ruled the shooting of Trayvon Martin as self-defense.

My 2019 film, The Trayvon Hoax, exposed the entire prosecution as a hoax based on a fake witness. Zimmerman’s acquittal was the reason for the founding of the Black Lives Matter group.

Bondi’s caving in was thus responsible for BLM’s formation and the mayhem that followed, including “hands up don’t shoot” and the George Floyd riots.

When questioned about decision-making for today’s DOJ, Trump has repeatedly said, “it’s up to Pam.” But this “hands off” deference may once again prove costly.

As documented in my investigative reports in The Gateway Pundit beginning in March 2025, Letitia James engaged in 24 years of mortgage fraud and housing regulation violations in connection with her 5-unit Brooklyn apartment building.

Assassin Trial Bombshell: Huge Plea Deal Imminent?

A potential plea agreement looms over the trial of the alleged assassin of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson.

Robinson’s Court Appearance

Tyler Robinson, accused of attempting to assassinate prominent conservative advocate Charlie Kirk, appeared in court recently. The hearing could lead to a plea agreement, potentially altering the trajectory of legal proceedings. Robinson, 24, accompanied by his new legal counsel, faced the decision of pursuing a preliminary hearing. This step would determine if sufficient evidence exists for the trial to proceed, a pivotal moment in this high-profile case.

The case has garnered significant attention due to its political implications, with many conservatives closely watching the developments. The legal system’s handling of this case is crucial for those concerned about political violence and its impact on free speech and public safety.

Plea Agreement Possibilities

A plea agreement in this context could mean several outcomes, including reduced charges or sentencing in exchange for a guilty plea. The decision to accept such an agreement hinges on the strength of the evidence presented by the prosecution. This case highlights the delicate balance between ensuring justice and navigating the complexities of legal strategy in politically charged cases.

Conservatives view the prosecution’s ability to present a compelling case as essential, not just for ensuring justice for Kirk but also for sending a strong message against political violence. The potential plea deal raises questions about accountability and the consequences of actions that threaten public figures and, by extension, democratic discourse.

Implications for Political Discourse

This case has broader implications for political discourse in the United States, particularly in how threats and acts of violence against public figures are addressed. For many, it underscores the need for a robust legal framework that protects individuals’ rights while deterring politically motivated violence. The outcome could influence future cases and be seen as a barometer for how seriously such threats are taken.

As the legal process unfolds, conservatives are reminded of the importance of a fair and decisive judiciary that upholds the rule of law and safeguards the foundational principles of free speech and security for all citizens.

Harvard Law Professor Placed on Leave After Firing Pellet Rifle Near Boston Synagogue — Told Police He Was There ‘Hunting Rats’

A Harvard Law professor has been placed on administrative leave after being charged with firing a pellet rifle near a Boston synagogue.

Carlos Portugal Gouvea, who is a visiting professor, was taken into custody on Wednesday after allegedly firing two pellets outside Temple Beth Zion synagogue in Brookline.

According to the Harvard Crimson, he is facing charges in Brookline District Court for illegally discharging a pellet gun, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and property damage.

The incident prompted a response from more than a dozen police officers as Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish year, was beginning Wednesday evening.

Two private security guards reportedly tried to restrain Gouvea before police arrived, resulting in a “brief physical struggle.”

Gouvea told officers he had been “hunting rats” and later entered a not guilty plea to all charges on Thursday, the outlet said.

He was released on personal recognizance pending a court appearance scheduled for early November..

Jeff Neal, spokesperson for the faculty, confirmed that “has been placed on administrative leave as the school seeks to learn more about this matter.”

However, he has not yet been subject to formal disciplinary action.

In an email sent Sunday morning to Temple Beth Zion members, synagogue president Larry Kraus and executive director Benjamin Maron said the temple’s leadership “have no reason to believe this was an antisemitic event.”

Brookline police informed synagogue leaders that Gouvea “was unaware that he lived next to, and was shooting his BB gun next to, a synagogue or that it was a religious holiday,” the message said.

“It was potentially dangerous to use a BB gun in such a populated spot,” the leaders added, “but it does not appear to have been fueled by antisemitism.”

J.B. Pritzker Cries “Trump’s Invasion”, Gavin Newsom Warns “America Is on the Brink of Martial Law”, After President Trump Orders Texas National Guard Troops to Chicago and Portland

President Donald Trump on Sunday ordered the deployment of four hundred Texas National Guard troops, with the consent of Gov. Greg Abbott (R), to Illinois and Oregon to protect ICE agents and federal facilities under violent siege by Antifa and other leftist terrorists in Chicago and Portland.

The orders federalize about 2,000 Texas National Guard under Northern Command, authorizing their deployment to “Illinois, Oregon and other locations throughout the United States,” with an initial deployment of 400 troops to Portland and Chicago.

The move follows Trump ordering California National Guard troops to Portland after a federal judge on Saturday blocked Trump from deploying the Oregon National Guard. Oregon, California and Portland went to court Sunday night to fight the new California orders.

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) flipped out earlier Sunday when he learned Trump, who had already federalized the state guard to protect Los Angeles in June, sent California National Guard troops to Portland, calling the orders “appalling” and “un-American.”

California Governor Vetoes Bill Mandating New Health Curriculum for Elementary and Middle Schools

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has vetoed a bill that would have directed the State Board of Education to approve new teaching for health classes in elementary and middle schools.

The bill, sponsored by Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner, a Democrat who represents Encinitas, California, sought to compel the State Board of Education to finalize health education resources by mid-2028. These materials were to follow the guidelines set in a 2019 statewide plan for health instruction.

In explaining his choice, Newsom said the bill should be considered only after finishing an ongoing evaluation of health teaching programs across California. This study aims to assess current practices and identify potential improvements before mandating new tools.

According to opponents of the measure, implementing the bill could lead to introducing lessons as early as third grade that teach children that reproductive organs do not always align with an individual’s sense of gender.

“Teaching controversial gender theories to students as young as eight or nine years old is not a practice that most Californians support, nor want to see happening in our schools,” state Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones, a Republican from Santee, wrote in a Sept. 26 letter to the governor, urging him to veto the bill.

Jones, in his letter, wrote that the 2019 health framework “introduces the theory that reproductive anatomy does not necessarily determine a person’s gender.”

Don’t Restart the Afghanistan War

No one ever accused President Donald Trump of being a systematic thinker. Were not the potential consequences so great, the obvious response to his demand on Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban to “return” Bagram air base would be uproarious laughter.

It’s been more than four years since the Biden administration withdrew U.S. forces from the central Asian state. The departure, just a few weeks shy of the 20-year anniversary of the arrival of American forces, made Washington’s 1975 exit from Saigon look orderly. However, the U.S. military’s retreat was long overdue and completed the accord negotiated by Trump during his first term. Some of the insurgents had been fighting since the Taliban first emerged in 1994, and even before, against Soviet occupiers. Demanding that the victors accept a permanent U.S. military presence would have killed any agreement, turning Afghanistan into a truly forever war.

Since then, the people of Afghanistan have suffered under the Taliban’s oppressive, theocratic rule. However, for many the end of the war was still a relief. While Americans like to view themselves as liberators, many Afghans saw them as anything but that. Explained interpreter Baktash Ahadi:

Virtually the only contact most Afghans had with the West came via heavily armed and armored combat troops. Americans thus mistook the Afghan countryside for a mere theater of war, rather than as a place where people actually lived. U.S. forces turned villages into battlegrounds, pulverizing mud homes and destroying livelihoods.

Unsurprisingly, Ahadi continued, “any sympathy for the West evaporated in bursts of gunfire.” Compared to the distant, corrupt, and incompetent Kabul government and its American ally, the Taliban became the lesser of two evils.

Israel Says No Gaza Ceasefire in Place Despite Trump’s Call for a Stop to the Bombing

The Israeli government said on Sunday that there is no ceasefire in place in Gaza despite President Trump’s calls for Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza” as the IDF continues to slaughter Palestinians across the Strip.

“While certain bombings have actually stopped inside of the Gaza Strip, there’s no ceasefire in place at this point in time,” said Israeli government spokeswoman Shosh Badrosian, according to The Associated Press.

Badrosian added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in “regular contact” with Trump and that the upcoming negotiations in Egypt aimed at securing the release of Israelis held by Hamas and implementing a ceasefire will “be confined to a few days maximum, with no tolerance for maneuvers that will delay talks by Hamas.”

Trump first made the call for Israel to stop bombing Gaza on Friday after Hamas issued its response to the US-Israeli ceasefire proposal. On Saturday, Trump said that he appreciated that “Israel has temporarily stopped the bombing,’ but on the same day, the IDF killed at least 70 Palestinians in Gaza, according to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera.

The IDF killed at least 129 Palestinians in Gaza over the past two days, according to daily updates released by Gaza’s Health Ministry. The Health Ministry said in its latest release on Sunday that it recorded the deaths of 63 Palestinians and the injury of 153 over the previous 24-hour period.

Medical sources have told Al Jazeera that Israeli attacks on Sunday killed at least 24 Palestinians, including at least 12 who were killed in Gaza City. According to Israeli media, the IDF was ordered to halt its operation to conquer Gaza City, but it has continued to bomb the area.

One Israeli strike in Gaza City on Saturday killed 18 people, including seven children between the ages of two months and eight years, according to a statement from Gaza’s Civil Defense.

The IDF also continues to kill desperate Palestinians attempting to get food. According to the AP, at least four Palestinians were killed near an aid site in southern Gaza on Sunday.

On top of the violent deaths, Palestinians continue to starve to death amid the famine caused by the Israeli siege. According to releases from the Health Ministry, at least three Palestinians, including two children, died of starvation over the past two days.

The ministry said on Sunday that its violent death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 67,139, and the number of wounded has climbed to 169,583. Studies have found that the ministry’s numbers are likely a significant undercount.

Virginia Democrat gubernatorial nominee worked at Saudi school known for Hamas links, jihadi grads

he Democratic gubernatorial nominee in Virginia worked for a Saudi government-controlled school just after 9/11, at a time when the Islamic academy was already controversial for being controlled by the Saudi royal family and for its extremist textbooks which taught hatred of non-Muslims.

Abigail Spanberger, a former Democratic congresswoman from Virginia, is currently the favorite to be the state’s next governor, according to polling averages. When it was revealed during her first congressional run in 2018 that she had worked for the Islamic Saudi Academy in northern Virginia during the 2002-2003 school year, Spanberger said that she was “proud” and “not ashamed” of her work history, despite the fact that, when she chose to work at the school, it was also already well known for its links to the terrorist group Hamas and for its recent graduates who had seemingly considered carrying out a jihad-inspired suicide attack in Israel.

The problematic nature of the Saudi academy — known as the ISA in shorthand — would be revealed even further in the years which followed.
