Smith Prosecutors Admitted They Risked Lawsuits To Illegally Grab Senators’ Private Records

In a move that has raised eyebrows among conservatives, special counsel Jack Smith and his team have been revealed to have pursued the phone records of Republican congress members, despite being cautioned about the potential for “litigation risk,” according to internal emails.

As reported by Western Journal, the emails, which were made public on Tuesday by Senators Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, expose the deliberations of prosecutors as they decided which congress members to target with subpoenas. These actions were part of the “Arctic Frost” investigation, which later evolved into Smith’s 2020 election case against then-President Donald Trump.

John Keller, the former head of the Justice Department Public Integrity Section, had warned the prosecutors in a May 2023 email, stating, “As you are aware, there is some litigation risk regarding whether compelled disclosure of toll records of a Member’s legislative calls violates the Speech or Debate Clause in the D.C. Circuit.” Despite this caution, Keller gave the green light for the subpoenas.

Liberals are Raging After Idaho Bar Offers Free Beer for a Month to Anyone Who Helps ICE Identify and Deport Illegal Aliens

The Old State Saloon in Eagle, Idaho, is offering a whole month of free beer to anyone who assists U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in identifying and deporting illegal immigrants from the state.

The promotion, announced on social media, encourages participants to submit evidence, such as photos, videos, and details, for verification to claim their reward.

Old State Saloon added that it “may award multiple months to one person if multiple illegals are deported.”

Additionally, illegal aliens who self-deport will be eligible for one free beer before they go.

“Any illegal who’d like to self deport may have one free beer before ICE responds to Old State Saloon to pick you up,” the bar posted on X.

British Transport Police Launch Facial Recognition Trials in London Stations

Some people, when they want to improve public transport safety, hire more staff, fix the lighting, or maybe even try being on time.

The British Transport Police, however, have gone full Black Mirror, deciding the best way to protect you from crime on your morning commute is by pointing cameras at your face and feeding your biometric soul into a machine.

Yes, for many Britons, facial recognition is coming to a railway station near them. Smile. Or don’t. It makes no difference. The algorithm will be watching anyway.

In the coming weeks, British Transport Police (BTP) will be trialling Live Facial Recognition (LFR) tech in London stations. It’s being sold as a six-month pilot program, which in government-speak usually means it will last somewhere between forever and the heat death of the universe.

The idea is to deploy these cameras in “key transport hubs,” which is bureaucratic code for: “places you’re likely to be standing around long enough for a camera to decide whether or not you look criminal.”

BTP assures us that the system is “intelligence-led,” which doesn’t mean they’ll be targeting shady characters with crowbars, but rather that the cameras will be feeding your face into a watchlist generated from police data systems.

They’re looking for criminals and missing people, they say. But here’s how it works: if your face doesn’t match anyone on the list, it gets deleted immediately. Allegedly. If it does match, an officer gets a ping, stares at a screen, and decides whether you’re a knife-wielding fugitive or just a man who looks like one.

And you have to love the quaint touch of QR codes, and signs stuck up around the station letting you know that, yes, your biometric identity is being scanned in real time.

Chief Superintendent Chris Casey would like you to know that “we’re absolutely committed to using LFR ethically and in line with privacy safeguards.”

The deployments, we’re told, will come with “internal governance” and even “external engagement with ethics and independent advisory groups.”

New York Times Admits Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Oversaw ‘Staggering’ Levels Social Security Fraud — Over $1 Billion Stolen by Somali Migrants

The left-wing New York Times has admitted that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz oversaw a “staggering” level of fraud across the state’s social services.

In a piece published on Saturday, the Times argued that Walz, who last year became one of the least successful vice-presidental nominees in living memory, had overseen a level of fraud “staggering in its scale and brazenness,” largely by the state’s Somali community.

Their report states:

Over the last five years, law enforcement officials say, fraud took root in pockets of Minnesota’s Somali diaspora as scores of individuals made small fortunes by setting up companies that billed state agencies for millions of dollars’ worth of social services that were never provided.

Federal prosecutors say that 59 people have been convicted in those schemes so far, and that more than $1 billion in taxpayers’ money has been stolen in three plots they are investigating.

That is more than Minnesota spends annually to run its Department of Corrections. Minnesota’s fraud scandal stood out even in the context of rampant theft during the pandemic, when Americans stole tens of billions through unemployment benefits, business loans and other forms of aid, according to federal auditors.

Outrage has swelled among Minnesotans, and fraud has turned into a potent political issue in a competitive campaign season. Gov. Tim Walz and fellow Democrats are being asked to explain how so much money was stolen on their watch, providing Republicans, who hope to take back the governor’s office in 2026, with a powerful line of attack.

However, Walz is unwilling to confront the issue over his fear of losing Somali voting base, who may seek to replace him with an even more radical candidate of their own, most likely in the style of Congesswoman Ilhan Omar.

Guess What This IL College Will Do to Students Who Follow Federal Law

This seems like a straight-up violation of the First Amendment and obstruction of federal laws.

The College of DuPage in Illinois is warning students that they will be punished if they report illegal alien students to authorities.

Here’s the highlighted portions of the text:

Will COD Police help ICE officers to apprehend and remove individuals from campus?

No, Illinois law prohibits COD Police from assisting federal agents in immigration enforcement. COD Police do not ask about immigration status, nor will they make arrests based solely on immigration status

…

Can a student be disciplined for calling immigration authorities on another student?

Yes, calling immigration authorities on another student could violate the COD Student Code of Conduct if the action is done with the intent to harass, discriminate, or retaliate against the other student.

The Department of Education and ICE might want to look into the College of DuPage for interfering with federal law enforcement. Blocking the school from receiving federal financial aid and tax dollars would be a great punishment for this blatant abuse.

Venezuelan Airspace Falls Silent After Trump Orders Emergency Closure Amid Escalating Crisis

Venezuelan airspace is nearly empty after President Donald Trump called for an emergency air-closure over the country, a move U.S. officials describe as a necessary national-security step following weeks of heightened instability inside Nicolás Maduro’s regime.

Flight-tracking data throughout the afternoon showed commercial traffic rapidly diverting away from Venezuelan territory, leaving one of South America’s busiest corridors almost entirely empty within hours.

The order immediately triggered condemnation from several foreign governments.

The Caribbean Parliament issued a formal statement criticizing the United States for “escalatory conduct,” despite offering no acknowledgment of the years of cartel activity, political oppression, and regional destabilization driven by Maduro’s government.

‘We Are Being Forced to Fund Our Own Destruction’: The Massive Amount of Taxpayer Dollars Behind Afghan Resettlement Program That Brought National Guard Shooter to U.S.

The two West Virginia National Guard members were ambushed and shot near the White House on Wednesday by an Afghan national who was resettled in the United States through a Biden-era program funded entirely by American taxpayers.

Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, 20, succumbed to her injuries on Thanksgiving, while Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains in critical condition.

This incident underscores a harsh reality: billions in U.S. tax dollars have been poured into resettling tens of thousands of Afghans, some of whom pose a direct threat to American lives and security.

Author and political commentator Mike Cernovich shared a post breaking down the cost and wrote, “We are being forced to fund our own destruction.”

The shooter, 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, entered the U.S. in September 2021 under Operation Allies Welcome (OAW), a hasty resettlement initiative launched by the Biden administration following the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal.

Lakanwal, who had previously worked with the CIA and Afghan partner forces in Kandahar, drove cross-country from his home in Bellingham, Washington, to carry out what authorities describe as a targeted ambush.

Since 2021, the U.S. government has spent over $14 billion on Afghan evacuees, including $8.7 billion specifically for OAW through the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security.

An additional $5.3 billion went to its successor, Enduring Welcome.

A 2021 Department of Defense contract awarded nearly $974 million, with $888 million outlayed, to URS Federal Services International for OAW refugee support at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

Law firm representing alleged Epstein victims sends scathing letter over DOJ document release

When the House Oversight Committee released a trove of files and emails from the Epstein estate earlier this month, alleged victims of the convicted sex offender responded with “widespread panic” after learning the documents included dozens of unredacted victim names, prominent attorneys for Epstein victims told a federal judge this week.

“I thought the government had promised to redact our names and identifying material. I don’t understand how this is happening again,” one alleged victim told attorneys Bradley Edwards and Brittany Henderson, with the Edwards Henderson law firm, according to a court filing Wednesday.

“This type of negligence by the government to a survivor is just unable to comprehend. It is just impossible,” another alleged victim said, according to the filing. “I don’t understand how this is possible.”

“I have been unable to mentally and emotionally function or sleep,” yet another alleged victim wrote, per the court filing.

Files expose Britain’s secret D-Notice censorship regime

Documents obtained by The Grayzone reveal how British soldiers and spies censor news reporting on ‘national security,’ coercing reporters into silence. The files show the Committee boasting of a “90% + success rate” in enforcing the official British line on any controversial story – or disappearing reports entirely.

A new trove of documents obtained by The Grayzone through freedom of information (FOI) requests provide unprecedented insight into Britain’s little-known military and intelligence censorship board. The contents lay bare how the secretive Defence and Security Media Advisory (DSMA) Committee censors the output of British journalists, while categorizing independent media as “extremist” for publishing “embarrassing” stories. The body imposes what are known as D-Notices, gag-orders systematically suppressing information available to the public.

The files provide the clearest view to date of the inner workings of the opaque committee, exposing which news items the British national security state has sought to shape or keep from public view. These include the bizarre 2010 death of a GCHQ codebreaker, MI6 and British special forces activity in the Middle East and Africa, the sexual abuse of children by government officials, and the death of Princess Diana.

The files show the shadowy Committee maintains an iron grip over the output of legacy British media outlets, transforming British journalists to royal court stenographers. With the Committee having firmly imposed themselves on the editorial process, a wide range of reporters have submitted “apologies” to the board for their media offenses, flaunting their subservience in order to maintain their standing within British mainstream media.

In addition, the documents also show the Committee’s intentions to extend the D-Notice system to social media, stating its desire to engage with “tech giants” in a push to suppress revealing disclosures on platforms like Meta and Twitter/X.

How The Grayzone obtained the files

The DSMA Committee describes itself as “an independent advisory body composed of senior civil servants and editors” which brings together representatives of the security services, army, government officials, press association chiefs, senior editors, and reporters. The system forges a potent clientelist rapport between journalists and powerful state agencies, heavily influencing what national security matters get reported on in the mainstream, and how. The Committee also routinely issues so-called “D-Notices,” demanding media outlets seek its “advice” before reporting certain stories, or simply asking they avoid particular topics outright.

The DSMA Committee is funded by and housed in Britain’s Ministry of Defence (MOD), chaired by the MOD’s Director General of Security Policy Paul Wyatt, and 36-year British Army  veteran Brigadier Geoffery Dodds serves as its Secretary, raising serious questions about the extent to which British ‘news’ on national security could effectively be written by the Ministry of Defence.

Even though the MOD explicitly retains the right to dismiss its Secretary, the DSMA Committee insists it operates independently from the British government. This means the Committee isn’t subject to British FOI laws.

So how did The Grayzone obtain these files?

The unprecedented disclosure was the result of an effort by the Committee to assist Australia’s government in creating a D-Notice system of their own. In doing so, it established a papertrail which Canberra was forced to release under its own FOI laws. Australian authorities fought tooth and nail to prevent the documents’ release for over five months, until the country’s Information Commissioner forced the Department of Home Affairs to release them.

How CIA Secretly Triggered Sino-Indian War

From October 20th – November 21st 1962, a little-remembered conflict raged between China and India. The skirmish damaged India’s Non-Aligned Movement affiliation, firmly placing the country in the West’s orbit, while fomenting decades of hostility between the neighbouring countries. Only now are Beijing and New Delhi forging constructive relations, based on shared economic and political interests. A detailed academic investigation, ignored by the mainstream media, exposes how the War was a deliberate product of clandestine CIA meddling, specifically intended to further Anglo-American interests regionally.

In the years preceding the Sino-Indian War, tensions steadily brewed between China and India, in large part due to CIA machinations supporting Tibetan separatist forces. For example, in 1957 Tibetan rebels secretly trained on US soil were parachuted into the territory and inflicted major losses on Beijing’s People’s Liberation Army forces. The next year, these cloak-and-dagger efforts ratcheted significantly, with the Agency airdropping weapons and supplies in Tibet to foment violent insurrection. By some estimates, up to 80,000 PLA soldiers were killed.

Mao Zedong was convinced Tibetan revolutionaries, while ultimately US-sponsored, enjoyed a significant degree of support from India, and used the country’s territory as a base of operations. These suspicions were significantly heightened by Tibet’s March 1959 uprising, which saw a vast outflow of refugees from the region to India, and the granting of asylum to the Dalai Lama, their CIA-supported leader, by New Delhi. Weeks later, at a Chinese Communist Party politburo meeting, Mao declared a “counteroffensive against India’s anti-China activities.”
