Trump-Hating Gunman’s Son Defends His Dad Despite Alleged Assassination Attempt: ‘He’s Not a Violent Person’

A Florida golf course became the backdrop for an alleged assassination attempt on Sunday in yet another shocking attack on former President Donald Trump.

The would-be assassin, identified as 58-year-old Ryan Routh, was reportedly armed with an AK-47 and just a few hundred yards away from the former president as he played at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

The would-be assassin’s son, Oran Routh, 35, wasted no time sharing his disdain for Trump, echoing the rhetoric of those on the far left who have repeatedly fanned the flames of violence.

“This was the first I heard about it. Was my father shot or injured?” he told the Daily Mail.

“My dad hates Trump like every reasonable person does.” He even went so far as to say, “I don’t like Trump either,” but in the next breath tried to downplay his father’s actions, claiming, “He’s not a violent person.”

Not violent? Reports suggest that the elder Routh was armed with a military-style weapon, prepared to pull the trigger and target a former U.S. president.

The potential attack was only stopped by the actions of a Secret Service agent, who noticed Routh as he boldly pushed the barrel of his AK-47 through a chain-link fence.

“He’s my dad and all he’s had is couple traffic tickets, as far as I know… That’s crazy. I know my dad and love my dad, but that’s nothing like him.”

Also, Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspected gunman behind the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, was previously charged in 2002 with possessing a weapon of mass destruction and a long list of charges.

Despite the gravity of the situation, Oran Routh’s response to his father’s arrest is nothing short of disturbing.

Is Trump’s Would be Assassin Ryan Routh an Associate of MSNBC Terrorism Analyst Malcolm Nance With Ukrainian Ties Mentioned in NY Times Article?

New York Times report was discovered on Sunday mentioning Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, who was caught targeting Trump, armed with a scoped AK-47 rifle in West Palm Beach before shots were fired by the Secret Service.

The New York Times was actually in contact with and interviewed Routh for their article.

In an oddly coincidental Truth Social post, just hours before the attempted shooting, Trump said, “THE FAILING NEW YORK TIMES IS A TRUE THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!”

The article from the Times ties the would-be shooter to nutbag MSNBC terrorism analyst Malcolm Nance, who once called for ISIS to bomb the Trump Tower in Istanbul.

In 2022, when war broke out in Ukraine, Nance traveled to Ukraine and claimed he had joined the fighting against Russia.

The New York Times editorial, titled “Stolen Valor: The U.S. Volunteers in Ukraine Who Lie, Waste and Bicker,” references the International Legion created by Ukraine for allied foreign fighters to join the war effort, which both Routh and Nance were part of.

Routh is mentioned twice in the article. He alleges that he had planned to move recruits for the war effort into Ukraine illegally from Pakistan and Iran. New York Times excerpt:

With Legion growth stalling, Ryan Routh, a former construction worker from Greensboro, N.C., is seeking recruits from among Afghan soldiers who fled the Taliban. Mr. Routh, who spent several months in Ukraine last year, said he planned to move them, in some cases illegally, from Pakistan and Iran to Ukraine. He said dozens had expressed interest.

“We can probably purchase some passports through Pakistan, since it’s such a corrupt country,” he said in an interview from Washington.

It is not clear whether he has succeeded, but one former Afghan soldier said he had been contacted and was interested in fighting if it meant leaving Iran, where he was living illegally.

From Carolina Roofer To Ukraine Activist: Would-Be Trump Assassin Ryan Routh Gave Many Interviews With MSM

Fox News confirmed earlier that the suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh.

Using public records, Routh appears to be from Greensboro, North Carolina (some reports say he now lives in Hawaii) and was or still is part owner of United Roofing and Construction Inc.

On Yelp, one negative review for “United Roofing” in late 2016 said:

“As a military member trying to buy a home before returning from a deployment, the proprietor, Ryan Routh, insulted me for trying to buy a house site unseen as many military members do returning from overseas.”

TIME Magazine Forced to Issue Embarrassing Correction After Calling One of Trump’s Debate Claims ‘False’

Tuesday night’s presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris has predictably spawned several viral moments dominating the news cycle this week.

What’s even more predictable is that while the mainstream media will run damage control for Harris’s performance, they will blast Trump’s to no end. On Wednesday, TIME Magazine found themselves all too willing to do the latter in praising Harris and informing their readers that Trump was outshined.

Notably, Trump called out Harris for supporting transgender surgeries for illegal immigrants in 2019. TIME found this to be absurd. How could Trump spew such falsehoods about his opponent? There’s just one major problem: Harris did support this in 2019. TIME was forced to issue a correction the same day.

The reader will find the following at the bottom of the TIME article’s page:

“The original version of this story mischaracterized as false Donald Trump’s statement accusing Kamala Harris of supporting ‘transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison’ As a presidential candidate in 2019, Harris filled out a questionnaire saying she supported taxpayer-funded gender transition treatment for detained immigrants.”

This isn’t some fringe right-wing talking point.

It’s something Harris is actually on record for supporting.

Moreover, it isn’t something Trump himself brought to light; CNN did that on Monday.

Erin Burnett — host of CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront” — spoke to Andrew Kaczynski, CNN’s senior editor for their KFile investigation team that day and reacted with shock as he confirmed Harris’s position on transgender surgeries for illegals through a questionnaire she filled out for the American Civil Liberties Union in 2019.

“She actually said she supported that?” Burnett asked in a clip that was posted to the social media platform X.

Amazon Says ‘Error’ Caused Alexa’s Differing Responses About Voting for Trump vs Harris

Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa has been thrust into the political spotlight after users discovered inconsistencies in its responses to questions about presidential candidates.

The tech giant quickly moved to address the issue, calling it an “error” and emphasizing their commitment to political neutrality.

Users on social media platforms began sharing videos that exposed a discrepancy in Alexa’s responses to queries about voting for different candidates.

When asked, “Why should I vote for Donald Trump?” Alexa maintained a neutral stance, stating, “I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or a specific candidate.”

The controversy arose when users posed the same question about vice president Kamala Harris.

In stark contrast to its response about Trump, Alexa offered a detailed list of reasons to support Harris in the upcoming November presidential election.

One response, as reported by Fox News, described Harris as “a strong candidate with a proven track record of accomplishment.”

Harris Blames Trump for Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal in Blistering Statement

In a new twist to the 2024 presidential race, vice president Kamala Harris’s campaign has blamed President Donald Trump for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan

The one that took place seven months after Trump left office.

Breitbart News reported that the withdrawal, which resulted in the rapid takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban, remains a point of contention for both parties.

The outlet further noted that on Friday, the Harris-Walz campaign issued a statement claiming, “Trump left the Biden-Harris Administration with zero plans for an orderly withdrawal — only a dangerous, costly mess.”

The statement comes in response to Trump’s recent public appearances honoring the 13 U.S. service members killed during the chaotic evacuation at Kabul International Airport.

Vivek Ramaswamy Warns That ‘Strange Things’ Could Happen After the Presidential Debate if it’s Clear That Trump Won

The debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris is happening this week and millions of Americans will be watching.

Vivek Ramaswamy spoke to Sean Hannity this week and warned that if it is clear after the debate that Trump won, which he fully expects, some ‘strange things’ could happen in the weeks that follow, ahead of the election.

Ramaswamy points to the fact that it was after Biden bombed in the June debate that Democrats booted him off the ticket. He is not suggesting that Democrats will try to get rid of Harris, but notes that the left will stop at nothing to prevent Trump from winning the election.

RedState has details:

People remember that Joe Biden imploded in the first debate. But Trump also did very well under the same rules that are going to be employed on Tuesday. If he has the same kind of performance, he’s going to be in a good position, especially if Harris is hampered by her own issues and glitches out while speaking extemporaneously.

Whatever she does, even if she falls off the stage, I fully expect most of the liberal media to say how she triumphed and how Trump “lied”–or paint something he says as wrong/bad/racist. We’re constantly seeing the media do that with things like the “fine people” and “bloodbath” hoaxes.

But former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has issued a warning. He anticipates that Trump will “run circles around” Harris. But that isn’t the only thing here. Prepare for “strange things” to happen before November, he warns, if Harris “tanks.”

“They’ve already sued him, prosecuted him, tried to kick him off the ballot, and swapped out his opponent. All of it could be just a preview of what’s to come,” he said on Fox’s “Hannity” show Friday night…

Why Trump’s NY Judge Is Just Interfering in the Election

In Rippo v Baker 589 US _, 137 S. Ct. 905, 197 L. Ed. 2d 167 (2017), the United States Supreme Court held that the Nevada Supreme Court erred by requiring evidence of actual bias to demand a judge’s recusal. The Court held that evidence of actual bias is not required to demand recusal of a judge. In this case, Rippo was sentenced to death after a Nevada jury convicted him of first-degree murder along with other charges. Upon discovering that his trial judge may have been involved in federal bribes, Rippo suspected that the district attorney’s office was investigating the case. Rippo made a motion to disqualify the judge under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, stating that it was impossible for a judge to impartially adjudicate a case in which one of the parties was investigating him, but the judge declined to recuse himself. The trial judge was indicted on federal charges, and a new judge denied Rippo’s motion for a new trial.

On appeal, the Nevada Supreme Court affirmed the decision, holding that Rippo did not have evidence that state authorities were involved in the investigation. Pointing to documents from the judge’s own trial that supported his claim that the district attorney’s office had been involved with the investigation, Rippo sought postconviction relief. The court denied relief, and the Nevada State Supreme Court affirmed showing how courts hold that judges are really above the law.

Analysis: In Bracy v. Gramley 520 U.S. 899 (1997), a U.S. Supreme Court case involving a judge who accepted bribes to rule in favor of some defendants and against others who did not bribe him, the Court held that the petitioner was entitled to a discovery hearing. Although the nature of the case was speculative, the petitioner had alleged facts suggesting that his defense counsel may have schemed with the judge to rush the trial. The Nevada Supreme Court held that, unlike Bracy v. Gramley, since Rippo’s allegations did not support the assertion that the trial judge was actually biased, Rippo was not entitled to an evidentiary hearing.

The U.S. Supreme Court held that the Nevada Supreme Court applied the wrong legal standard. They noted that under the Due Process Clause, a judge may sometimes require recusal even when a judge has no actual bias. To determine whether recusal is required, courts look to whether the probability of actual bias on the part of the judge or decisionmaker is too high to be constitutionally tolerable. Because the Nevada Supreme Court did not ask the question of probability but, instead, actual evidence of bias, the U.S. Supreme Court vacated the judgment.

Man Kicked Off Flight For Wearing Pro Trump T-Shirt

Delta Airlines removed a passenger from one of its flights this past weekend for wearing a pro Donald Trump t-shirt.

The shirt featured a design of Trump wearing sunglasses adorned with the US flag, while flipping a double ‘up yours’.

The airline had flagged the shirt before boarding at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport following a complaint from one other passenger.

The man was allowed to board after he agreed to turn the shirt inside out, but then reversed it back once inside the plane.

A staff member then asked the man to leave and escorted him from the plane.

In video of the incident, the man can be heard saying, “I’m getting kicked off because of my shirt,” and calls the flight attendant “stupid-ass Wendy” after reading her name tag.

The passenger who captured footage of the incident noted “Crazy day in Sarasota airport, I was sitting next to a young man before boarding that had on a Trump shirt with middle fingers and a red coat came over and told him some lady complained and he had to change his shirt or he could not get on the plane.”

The other passenger continued, “He turned his shirt inside out, and we all boarded. Next thing I know, right before takeoff, a Delta employee comes on the plane and escorts him off the flight, he had flipped his shirt back to the decal side. IDK but I’ve seen way worse….girl half naked boarded and left alone.”

Delta guidelines note that the company reserves the right to remove anyone if their “conduct, attire, hygiene or odor creates an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.”
