CIA Distances Itself From Trump’s Iran War With Media Leak

It seems that CIA and other US intelligence officials hope to distance themselves from Trump’s Iran war, now with the US-initiated conflict having dragged on for nearly five months (with no end in sight), after White House officials had in the opening days touted a swift, limited military excursion. 

They are leaking intelligence to the press which shows they have assessed that current American strikes on Iran are unlikely to change Iran’s negotiating position. With tankers in Hormuz on fire and others too afraid to move, Iran is vowing that it will keep its leverage over the strait at all costs.

The Washington Post report says that “Iran’s government is unlikely to feel significant impact or soften its negotiating position as a result of new rounds of U.S. military strikes like those now underway, according to a new intelligence assessment described by current and former U.S. officials.”

To a large degree this intel assessment is stating the obvious, which should have been well understood far in advance. It seems intel officials want to get it on record that they predict a quagmire as the White House seeks to extricate itself and the global economy from the crisis (of its own making) in the Gulf. Escalation in air strikes will only further stalemate the situation, the intel analysis forecasts. 

Stating the obvious is further on full display in lines from the WaPo report like the following: “Analysts at American spy agencies also have concluded that Tehran and Washington are, for now, stuck in an indefinite limbo between peace and war, the officials said — an uneasy dynamic given the increasingly deadly nature of the tit-for-tat hostilities between the two nations. The current and former officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the assessments because of their sensitivity.”

President Trump has reportedly been briefed on the assessment. According to more:

The latest intelligence report was written primarily by the CIA, where analysts have underscored the Tehran regime’s staying power despite the loss of many of its top leaders and much of its military hardware to U.S. and Israeli attacks. In May, a CIA analysis concluded that Iran could survive a U.S. naval blockade for at least three to four months before facing more severe economic hardship.

As of Monday, Trump previewed harder hits on Iran to come after the killing of multiple US troops in Jordan and neighboring Iraq. At least two died during a ballistic missile attack in Jordan, while one service member was killed in northern Iraq.

Congresswoman Has a Blunt Message for the MSM on ‘Democratic Socialism’

“This is what radical leftism is. It may wear various different slogans and ideologies across place and time. They call themselves anti-capitalist or anti-imperialist, communist, anarchist, Marxist, but the fundamental character is always the same,” Marco Rubio said last week when he hosted the leaders of over 60 different countries to a ministerial on the “resurgence of transnational far-left terrorism.” 

He left out “democratic socialism,” but let’s face it. It’s all the same. And Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.) spoke out about that today at a House Republican leadership press conference, warning about the rise of so-called “democratic socialists” and the reality for voters and the media.   

Malliotakis would know. Her mother fled Cuba in 1959 as Fidel Castro took power. The Castro regime stole her family’s home and their small business, a gas station owned by her grandfather. She says her mother never saw her grandfather again after that. I’ve heard countless stories just like that from Venezuelan friends and acquaintances. Communism ruins families. 

“Communism destroys. It steals from the people,” Malliotakis said. “…people end up living in squalor and lack the basic needs that human beings need, and the people that run the regime live as kings. That’s the reality. It’s about power. It’s about consolidating power for a select few.”   

She pointed out that, sadly, that’s exactly what we’re starting to see here in the United States with the winners of several recent primaries and elections. 

“We have Mayor Mamdani, who pushed and is pushing an agenda of government-run supermarkets, abolishing private property rights, and seizing the means of production,” she continued. “…And that is exactly what they did in communist Cuba.”   

The congresswoman pointed out that her Cuban mother says socialism is basically just a step toward communism. The government steals property and wealth and uses it to redistribute and create better lives for themselves, while their constituents suffer. She also pointed out that Democrats want to pack the Supreme Court, but that’s a move straight out of Hugo Chávez’s playbook. As I wrote yesterday, that’s one reason why Venezuela can’t have elections right now. The country’s Supreme Court is stacked in favor of the regime, and it will require dismantling the court, among other institutions, to get there.

Mainstream Media Begins To Report on the Tragedy That Is Ukrainian Forced Mobilization, and How Citizens Have Started To Push Back Violently

It’s a civil war of sorts between the man-catchers and the population at large.

An important part of our reporting on the Ukraine war here on TGP is tracking MSM vehicles finally reporting on themes and developments we have been covering here for months.

In the case of absolute tragedy that is the forced mobilization in Ukraine, it’s a bit sad to see that even in our conservative informational sphere, a lot of people are still not aware of the endless cat-and-mouse game in which the conscription officers attempt to forcibly send civilians to the meat-grinder – it’s called ‘busification’.

And people taken to the limit are led to desperate measures.

Even the ultra-liberal BBC felt compelled to report on this subject with their “‘Everyone’s afraid to die’: Struggle to recruit soldiers in Ukraine turns violent”.

In their report, the Beeb tells the story of soldier Vasyl Krupych, who survived gruesome battles in eastern Donetsk to end up ‘attacked by his own countrymen whilst out searching for draft dodgers’.

(What they call dodgers we call people trying to survive.)

Krupych was badly beaten with a crowbar. He spent six weeks in hospital with broken ribs.

BBC reported:

“Ukraine’s military ombudswoman says such attacks are now ‘regular’ and ‘a major problem’ as the country struggles to mobilize men to fight. […] It’s not a topic people here care to discuss much, wary of feeding Russian propaganda.

But the latest National Police Service report recorded more than 600 assaults on recruitment officers to date and warned that the aggression has become ‘increasingly threatening’.”

Minnesota’s Largest Paper Cheers Tim Walz For Pardoning Child Rapist, Says He Was Justified Because of Jan 6

A man who raped a 10-year-old child repeatedly is now back in his native Laos — no thanks to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who had pardoned the man who had a removal order due to his criminal history.

It took intervention from Secretary of State Marco Rubio to get the man’s legal status revoked after the pardon.

But the biggest paper in Minnesota, the Minnesota Star Tribune, is hailing Gov. Walz’s decision. Their reason to allow a child rapist to walk the streets of Minnesota when it could be deported? The events of Jan. 6, 2021, of course.

One does have to applaud the folks at the Star Tribune for ingenuity, if here unleashed in a manner that is profoundly sick. Tou Lue Vang, the man in question, told investigators he raped the girl in question because in his society, this was considered normal. In fact, he told police this was “a mistake,” but “a minor thing,” and he didn’t mean the victim’s age. Apparently, child rape was little more severe than a fender-bender in his mind.

The fact that he didn’t receive a removal order until earlier this year should have been an outrage in and of itself, but what happened next was why we’re still discussing this. In the intervening years, the convicted child rapist (who ended up just spending eight months in confinement at a county facility despite receiving a 12-year state prison sentence initially) has built a life in the United States, with children of his own.

This was effectively the reason behind the decision to pardon him, which received a 4-2 vote from the Minnesota Clemency Review Commission and a unanimous decision to pardon from Walz, Democrat state Attorney General Keith Ellison, and state Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson, a Walz appointee.

“The victim supports this pardon. His [Vang’s] wife stayed and has forgiven. He also [has] immigration concerns. He has remorse and was discharged from probation,” said the head of the Minnesota Clemency Review Commission in her decision.

Minnesota Paper Faces Backlash After Columnist ‘Cheers’ Tim Walz’s Clemency for Foreign Child Sex Offender

A foreign criminal who repeatedly raped a 10-year-old girl and tried to buy her silence was days from deportation when Minnesota Democrats, led by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, stepped in to protect him.

Now, Minnesota’s flagship paper, The Minnesota Star Tribune, is facing backlash after columnist Rochelle Olson’s article “Cheers to Gov. Tim Walz,” praised the governor for his decision to defend the pardon.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Laotian illegal alien pedophile Tou Lue Vang repeatedly raped a 10-year-old girl in Minnesota in 2004 and was issued a deportation order.

Vang even blamed the child and said it’s a “cultural thing to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12.”

Vang served ZERO prison time after pleading guilty.

However, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the Democrat-controlled Board of Pardons  Tim Walz pardoned Vang, which shielded him from deportation.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, however, put an end to the madness and announced that Vang’s legal status was revoked and “as a result, federal agents took him into custody, and as of today, he has been removed from the United States.”

Deep State Media Censorship

Something has fundamentally changed in America, and it should concern everyone regardless of politics. The press was never supposed to decide what the public is allowed to hear. Their job was to report the news. Somewhere along the way, they decided their real job was deciding which information is acceptable and which information should be filtered before it ever reaches the public.

When President Trump delivered his address on the newly released election-related documents, several major television networks chose not to carry it in full. ABC and NBC declined to air the speech on their broadcast networks. CBS began airing it but cut away before it concluded, while other outlets focused immediately on commentary and fact-checking rather than simply letting viewers watch the entire address for themselves. Whether one agrees with the President or not is beside the point. The public should be able to hear a presidential address in full and make up its own mind. The editorial decisions themselves became part of the story.

The press increasingly tells people what to think before they have even been allowed to hear what was said. Every story arrives prepackaged with analysis, approved conclusions, and a warning label. The assumption seems to be that the public cannot be trusted to evaluate information on its own. Yet, as the press is refusing to broadcast an announcement from a sitting president, one can see that the legacy media’s loyalty is to the actors behind the curtain. The deep state is controlling the narrative—you’ve been warned.

ABC is no longer simply a television network. It sits inside one of the largest entertainment conglomerates on the planet. Disney acquired ABC decades ago, transforming what was once a standalone broadcaster into another division of a multinational corporation whose interests extend far beyond journalism. When news becomes one business unit among countless others, people naturally begin asking whether protecting the corporate brand becomes just as important as reporting the story.

Democrat Senator Mark Warner Gets Fact-Checked on Virginia Voter ID Laws on Live TV

Democrat Senator Mark Warner got fact-checked on live TV about voter ID amid a debate over President Trump’s push for the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act.

President Trump on Thursday evening delivered a primetime address to the nation about foreign election interference.

The president revealed:

– The DHS found approximately 278,000 non-citizens on the voter rolls

– China accessed 220 million US voter files and the Deep State withheld that information from Trump

– China targeted President Trump during the 2020 election by paying media outlets to write negative stories about him

At the end of his speech, President Trump urged Americans to call their representatives and demand that they pass the SAVE America Act.

The US must secure its elections. It is a matter of national security.

“To all Americans, I ask you to pick up your phone tomorrow, call your representatives and the House and Senate, and demand that they pass the SAVE America Act without delay,” President Trump said.

Mark Warner got called out about his voter ID lies during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.”

“You and every other Democrat oppose the SAVE America Act… requiring photo ID to register to vote, is this Democrats should get behind?” Jon Karl asked Mark Warner.

“In Virginia, we have voter ID and photo ID!” Mark Warner said.

This is a lie.

Virginia currently allows voters to present non-photo identification, such as copies of utilities and bank statements, as an accepted form of ID.

Virginia voters can also sign an ID statement affirming their identity.

“That’s actually not the case. I’m a Virginia voter. You don’t need to show a photo ID in Virginia,” Jon Karl said, adding, “And if you don’t show one of those you can sign an affidavit…”

Brian Stelter Offers Completely Dishonest Reason for CNN Refusing to Air Trump’s Speech This Week

CNN was one of the networks that refused to air Trump’s speech this week, a fact that should surprise no one. What is surprising, is the stunningly dishonest explanation for this, offered by resident ‘media reporter’ Brian Stelter.

According to Stelter, the network ‘monitored’ the speech and decided what was newsworthy and then ‘contextualized’ the speech for their audience.

Funny. That’s not how CNN approached more than ten years of pushing the Russia collusion hoax. Also, don’t forget, by refusing to air the speech, CNN was basically telling American voters, who put Trump in the White House, that THEY will decide when the voters hear from the President of the United States.

Because they’re so devoted to democracy, you see. What a joke.

RedState reports:

Now you might think that this would be something the media would want to cover, given how much time they spent on the fake Russia collusion hoax. But as we reported, major liberal media outlets like ABC, NBC, and MS NOW passed on the president’s prime-time address, even though such speeches are routinely televised in full.

But in some ways, CNN was the worst, revealing more than it probably intended when it explained why it didn’t air the speech.

“Some network executives felt it would be dangerous to just air Trump’s speech live, in full, unedited without knowing what he was going to say ahead of time. That’s where we are in America.”

Why is it dangerous? Why can’t they allow you to judge what he says on its own merit?

“Trump’s election lies led to violence,” Stelter said. Even this is misleading, since Trump never incited violence, told people to act peacefully, and when they didn’t, encouraged people to stop on Jan. 6.

It apparently wasn’t “dangerous” to falsely report on Russia collusion or any of the slew of other false reports CNN and other media have made about Trump, which greatly divided the country and still has people believing lies for years.

The View’s Sunny Hostin Hates ‘Privilege’… Except For Her Own

No one hates “privilege” more than Sunny Hostin.

The slightly black co-host of The View, who earns $2 million annually and lives with her orthopedic surgeon husband in a 12,000-square-foot New York City apartment, repeatedly castigates those—usually white—who exercise their “privilege.”

However, when it came to throwing her weight around with the cops to protect her son from allegedly illegal conduct, the whole idea of “privilege” vanished from Hostin’s mind.

Hostin, a former federal prosecutor with a pretty face, landed herself a gig on The View, a show that is aggressively woke. In that context, Hostin often complains about privilege—all kinds of privilege that imply that talent and hard work are meaningless. Here are some notable examples:

In April 2019, when he was running for the Democrat nomination, Pete Buttigieg made obeisance to the race and sex hustlers by reflecting on his “white privilege or male privilege.” Hostin was thrilled that Buttigieg had this empathetic insight into his privilege.

In May 2024, while the shrews…er, hostesses were discussing Caitlin Clark, Hostin stated, “I do think that there is a thing called pretty privilege. There is a thing called White privilege. There is a thing called tall privilege, and we have to acknowledge that.

Most tellingly, though, for purposes of this essay, in September 2019, when actress Felicity Huffman was trying to get a more lenient sentence for her role in a college admissions scandal, Hostin was outraged that someone prominent, wealthy, and generally in a better (presumably whiter) situation than other people, would dare ask for leniency: “She had wealth, privilege and a platform, and she didn’t use it appropriately.”

I couldn’t help thinking of these (and other) attacks on privilege when I read about Hostin throwing around her privileged weight as co-host of The View when she tried to stop police from arresting her son who had allegedly been caught walking along the railroad tracks in chi-chi Westchester County last month:

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin tried to talk cops out of issuing her Ivy League-educated son a trespassing citation — telling them he “has no criminal record” and repeatedly citing her legal background, according to newly released police bodycam footage.

The TV personality and former federal prosecutor was on the phone with her 24-year-old son, Gabriel Hostin, when he was stopped by police along Metro-North Railroad tracks in Westchester County last month.

“My name is Sunny Hostin and I’m one of the co-hosts of ‘The View’ and I’m a former federal prosecutor,” the 57-year-old mom can be heard saying to the responding officers in the bodycam footage obtained Friday by The Post.

You and I both know that she talked about her role on The View as a subtle threat to the police: I’m powerful, I know people, and I can use my show to destroy you is the privileged subtext of that statement.
