Joe Biden’s ‘Negro’ Quote Earns Hilarious Label From Twitter as ‘Fact Checkers’ Spin Like Tops

We previously reported on how some in the media rushed into damage control mode Thursday in the latest round of “Protect Joe” after President Biden called the late Major League Baseball legend/icon Satchel Paige a “negro.”

For those who missed it, Biden was giving a speech on Veterans Day at Arlington National Cemetary when he made the comments, which I’m providing below just so I don’t get accused of taking the current White House occupant out of context:

I want to welcome all the Cabinet members and honored guests joining us today, including the father of our Secretary of State, who served in the Army Air Corps during World War Two, Ambassador Donald Blinken, whose birthday is today. Happy Birthday. (Applause.) Thank you for your service to our country.

And I just want to tell you, I know you’re a little younger than I am, but, you know, I’ve adopted the attitude of the great Negro — at the time, pitcher in the Negro Leagues — went on to become a great pitcher in the pros — in the Major League Baseball after Jackie Robinson. His name was Satchel Paige.

Naturally, when members of the media hit the Code Red button to alert each other that it’s once again time to Protect the Precious, their colleagues on the “fact-checking” side often also jump in to “confirm” the media’s spin, which SnopesPolitifact, and Reuters have already done in a matter of 24 hours by laughably suggesting discussion/reporting on the comments “lacked context,” while Politifact also brought up the fact that Biden sometimes has a stuttering problem to try and explain what happened.

Compounding the hilarity of the collective Defend Biden effort, Twitter also jumped into the debate in their “events” section to amplify the claims from “fact-checkers” as though a single person in this country should trust anything fact-checkers say at a time when their liberal bias could not be more obvious.

“Edited clips of Joe Biden’s remarks about Black baseball player Satchel Paige lack some context, fact-checkers say,” the promo on the right-side Twitter column read.

Leftist Hack Claims That If Any White Person Is Using The Word ‘Woke’, It’s A “Racial Slur”

A writer with Slate has declared that the word ‘woke’ when used by a white person should be treated as a racial slur because it was “shoplifted” from the “black community”.

It’s the latest narrative in the debate over cancel culture.

It is no longer credible to declare that cancel culture doesn’t exist, and so the left has reverted to what it knows best, baseless accusations of racism and bigotry.

Along with a tacit threat, Slate hack Joel Anderson tweeted “If you’re not black and started using ‘woke’ pejoratively sometime post-2018 or so (or worse, don’t know anything about the earlier iteration of the term), I think it’s fair to consider it a racial slur.”

The Left Got What It Wanted – So Now What?

There is no schadenfreude in seeing the Left destroy everything it touches – because its claws tear all of us as well

What was the purpose for the insane opposition of the Left between 2017 and 2021? To usher in a planned nihilism, an incompetent chaos, a honed anarchy to wreck the country in less than a year?

Then

No sooner had Donald Trump entered office than scores of House Democrats filed motions for impeachment, apparently for thought crimes that he might, some day, in theory, could possibly commit.

Foreign Policy published an article by a liberal Obama Administration lawyer outlining all the ways to remove an elected president as soon as possible—including consideration of a military coup.

The FBI and the entrenched bureaucrats at the Justice Department continued their prior failed efforts during the campaign to seed the lies of the fabricated Steele dossier and Fusion GPS. A 22-month-long and $40 million hoax ended with the special counsel himself, a doddering Robert Mueller, swearing under oath that he essentially knew nothing about the dossier or Fusion GPS—the twin catalysts that had prompted his very own investigation.

Fired FBI Director James Comey—a lion on Twitter, and a lamb when under oath—on over 240 occasions testified to the Congress that he either did not know or could not remember, when asked details about the collusion fraud that the philosopher G-man had helped perpetuate.

No one worried about the weaponization of government. So, we went right from the nefarious legacy of John Brennan (who lied under oath to Congress twice), James Clapper (who lied under oath to Congress once), James Comey (who leaked confidential presidential memos), Andrew McCabe (who gave false testimony to federal investigators), Lisa Page (who was fired from the special counsel’s legal team for various unprofessional conduct), Peter Strzok (about whom there is not enough space to detail his transgressions), and the now convicted felon Kevin Clinesmith onto the next round of impeachments.

Working-Class Americans Are Standing Up for Themselves—and the Left Is Denouncing Them

Southwest Airlines canceled over 1,000 flights this weekend. Thousands of passengers were left stranded in airports across the country on Sunday, after a quarter of all flights never took off. Southwest blamed air traffic control issues for the cancelations, but to many, they seemed connected to Southwest’s new COVID-19 vaccine mandate, which its pilots asked a court to block. Were the canceled flights the result of a “sick out” on the part of pilots refusing to get vaccinated? The pilots’ union denied it, but when Amtrak started canceling trains Sunday afternoon due to “unforeseen crew issues,” the idea that a general strike is brewing started to circulate, a response to the mass firings of other working-class and middle class Americans—nurses and police officers—who have refused the vaccine.

You might have expected that the Left would be championing what looks like it might be a powerful form of collective action on the part of working-class Americans. There was a time some can still recall when the Left stood for labor and collective power. Instead, you saw prominent Left-wing voices denouncing Southwest employees as terrorists and demanding they be put on no-fly lists; many others defended the mass firing of nurses and cops. And it was Republicans and conservatives, infamous for their laissez-faire free market policies that favor the rich, who were cheering the striking workers and tweeting the hashtag #GeneralStrike.

This inversion of the politics that ruled the U.S. for much of the 20th century didn’t happen overnight. Most recently, it’s an extension of the COVID lockdown class divide that separated those who could work from the safety of their homes—accountants and bankers and lawyers and project managers and, yes, journalists—from those whose jobs required they brave the pandemic to support their families—grocery store workers, deliverymen and women, drivers, pilots, small business owners, and of course, healthcare workers. This was a class divide as much as an economic divide—the college educated vs. the working class. And you can see where each side of the political aisle sees its base by which position it took on this divide: Democrats favored lockdowns while Republicans took the side of those whose work was either outside the home or eliminated.

Matthew Dowd Runs for Office After Demanding White Christian Males Stop Running for Office

In 2018, left-wing extremist Matthew Dowd called for all “white male Christians” to stop running for political office. Today Dowd, who identifies as white, male, and Christian, is running for political office.

“We [white male Christians] don’t need to be the majority of the people who hold political power,” he wrote on this very day three years ago. Here’s more:

Instead of waiting for the diverse population of America to keep pushing and prodding, I would humbly suggest that we as white male Christians take it upon ourselves to step back and give more people who don’t look like us access to the levers of power.

[…]

Yes, let me repeat, we as white male Christians should do what real leadership demands and practice a level of humility which demonstrates strength by stepping back from the center of the room and begin to give up our seats at the table.

[…]

The greatest demonstration of strength is putting someone else ahead of ourselves. Let’s show we are that strong.

And that is precisely the kind of oily pandering that allowed Dowd to earn a cushy job as a political analyst at ABC News, where he was presented as a right-of-center analyst, as opposed to what he is: a  mewling, far-left beta male who makes Phil Donahue look like Robert Mitchum.

And on the third anniversary of that column, what is the hypocrite Dowd doing?

Well, the very white and not-terribly male Dowd is — lol — aggressively seeking a seat at the table by running for lieutenant governor of Texas.
