WHCD Shooting Should Force a Serious Conversation About Teacher Bias in K–12 Education

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the suspect in the attempted shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner has been identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen of Torrance, California.

Allen was taken into custody alive in the Hilton lobby near the security screening area.

But the more important part of this story is not just what happened—it is who the suspect is.

Allen is a highly educated professional. Reports indicate he attended the California Institute of Technology and recently earned a master’s degree in computer science. 

More importantly, he worked as a teacher and was even named “Teacher of the Month” in December 2024 at C2 Education in Torrance.

It’s not fair to say every teacher is responsible for this. That would be dishonest. There are many teachers who do their jobs well, focus on academics, and avoid pushing political views in the classroom.

But ignoring the broader pattern would be just as dishonest.

I spend a significant amount of time looking at how education functions in this country. The trend is clear. Schools have increasingly shifted away from neutral instruction and toward ideological influence.

Students are often exposed to one-sided narratives on complex political issues, with little room for disagreement or serious debate.

North Carolina superintendent defends children’s Pride book featuring BDSM gear because children may see it ‘in their community’

A North Carolina school superintendent of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro school district was grilled by state lawmakers in the legislature after being accused of breaking state law having to do with parents’ rights and the inclusion of sexually inappropriate material in school libraries. When he was asked about a book that contained men dressed in BDSM, he didn’t take any issue with it and said that children may see it “in their community.”

Dr. Rodney Trice, superintendent of Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, was being grilled by North Carolina Republican Majority Leader Brenden Jones in a viral clip that has spread on X.

Hungarian Law Prohibiting Children From Accessing LGBT Content Violates EU Law, Court Says

A Hungarian law prohibiting the access by minors to LGBT content violates European Union law, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled on April 21.

The court said in a statement that the 2021 law, aimed at protecting children and prohibiting or restricting childrens’ access to content on transgenderism and homosexuality, “stigmatises and marginalises LGBTI+ persons.”

“Although those amendments are, according to that Member State, intended to protect minors, several of them have the effect, in essence, of prohibiting or restricting access to content having as a defining element the portrayal or promotion of deviation from the self-identity corresponding to the sex assigned at birth, of gender reassignment, or of homosexuality,” the European Court of Justice said.

The court said the restrictions Hungary placed interfered with the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

The European Court of Justice said Hungary violated Article 2 of the Treaty of the European Union, which the statement defined as “the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities.”

The court said this was the first such action brought against an EU member state.

Indoctrination Insanity: AP Gov Textbook Ideology Grid Goes Full Clown World

Commentator Isabel Brown raised concerns about the content of an Advanced Placement U.S. Government textbook, focusing on a political ideology chart that she said is being used in American high school classrooms.

Brown said the issue came to her attention after the material was shared with her through a third party. “Doing a wellness check on the teenagers in high school right now because what is this?” she said.

She explained that the textbook was sent to columnist Carol Markowitz by a relative, prompting questions about how political figures are being categorized.

“Someone sent their AP government textbook to Carol Markowitz, their cousin, to show them the political ideology grid that they are currently teaching in American high schools,” Brown said.

Brown described her reaction to the classifications presented in the chart. “Guys, guys, I have so many questions,” she said.

According to Brown, the chart places a limited number of American political figures in specific ideological categories.

“Apparently, the only, the only person in American politics who is economic right and more libertarian is Ron Paul who is like barely libertarian,” she said, referring to Ron Paul.

She also pointed to how the chart groups other figures. “Hillary Clinton and George W Bush are the same dot because they have the same exact political ideology,” Brown said, referencing Hillary Clinton and George W. Bush.

Library Director Fired After Refusing To Remove Hundreds Of LGBT Books From Kids’ Section

When are these people going to learn to just leave the kids alone?

A Tennessee library board has voted 8-3 to remove its top librarian, Luanne James, after she refused to carry out an order to relocate hundreds of LGBT-themed books, Critical Race Theory (CRT) and feminist propaganda books from the children’s section of six Rutherford County branch libraries.

James was initially ordered to relocate books containing far-left ideology from the juvenile/children’s sections to the adult sections of libraries.  The board cited concerns that the books promoted “gender confusion,” contained LGBT themes/characters, sexual themes, feminist topics, DEI, social justice and related content.

The decision stemmed from a broader state review of thousands of materials prompted by a Tennessee Secretary of State letter and federal guidance on gender-related content. 

Actions within red states to transfer woke propaganda out of children’s spaces in school libraries and public libraries accelerated after viral complaints by parents who have read some of the horrific selections out loud at board meetings across the country.  Activist librarians have become a plague, disregarding the age and innocence of the children involved for the sake of a cult-like political ideology.

Watch Gavin Newsom’s Wife Brag About Filling Her Children’s Heads With Gender Nonsense

A shocking video is making the rounds on social media right now which shows Gavin Newsom’s wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom speaking at an event and bragging about the gender nonsense that she is using to fill up the minds of her children.

It’s not exactly clear when the video is from but it appears recent and she is clearly proud of what she is talking about.

It is now widely known that one of Trump’s most effective 2024 ads was the one where he reminded voters that Kamala Harris supports all of this craziness. Now Gavin Newsom’s wife is reminding people that she and her husband support all of this, too.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, is drawing attention online for resurfaced remarks about giving her boys dolls to play with and even changing male characters in books to females.

“I’ve given our boys dolls, even if they tear the head off,” Newsom said in an undated interview that resurfaced on X. “I’ve given them dolls to learn that care and caregiving is not just an activity that’s reserved for women, but that it’s also an activity that is a responsibility of men.”

She also said she changes male characters to female when reading books to her sons.

“What I have done with both my daughters and my sons is if I’m reading a book and the protagonist is a male, I just change the he to a she,” Newsom said. “And it just normalizes for my sons, in particular, it’s not even … I don’t even just do it for my girls. I do it for my sons because I want them to see that women can be the center of a story, that women matter, that women are interesting.” …

“At the end of the day, we’re all kind of like in this place in history maybe where we’re recognizing what it is to ultimately deconstruct all these gender roles and ultimately be human, and that’s exciting to me,” Newsom said.

Author Brags About Hiding LGBTQ Messaging in Children’s Book Cover

Rebecca Bendheim, author of a Young Adult book for teenage readers, recently took to Instagram where she bragged that she deliberately designed her book cover to hide the LGBT agenda of the story contained within its pages from parents, while still advertising to kids. This is the kind of sick and twisted ideology the left embraces. They undermine parents who don’t want their kids exposed to sexual perversion, while they normalize deviancy.

Bendheim, who also works as a middle school teacher, said in her video, “When Penguin [Random House] asked me what I wanted for my cover, I said I wanted it to be gay enough for queer kids and teens to clock it, but for homophobic parents to just think it’s a friendship story.” Apparently, children of the same sex can no longer just be friends. Nope. If they hang out together, they must probably feel attracted to each other sexually.

These people try to sexualize everything. The progressive movement ultimately wants complete and total control over the population of the country. They cannot achieve that goal as long as the nuclear family exists. Sexual deviancy destroys the family. This explains why they so desperately try to normalize their lifestyles. None of the LGBT agenda pushers truly believe what they participate in is normal. Otherwise, they would not need outside validation and acceptance. It would just exist.

The author will publish her book, When You’re Brave Enough, on April 7, 2026. The publisher recommends it for kids between the ages of 10–14. They want your 10-year-old children to see content that could lead them into unnecessary sexual confusion. Parents should decide when their kids are ready to talk about complex issues like sexuality. Not authors. Not school teachers. Not politicians.

“So I said, no holding hands, make my character look gay,” she said as she pointed out the small details she and the cover artist agreed on, including flowers growing between the pair on the cover to indicate a crush is “growing.” Seriously. This is diabolical.

“So what do you think? Would you guess this was a queer book?” Bendheim asked her viewers. Well, to be fair, I have seen Hollywood and other parts of the entertainment industry push the LGBT agenda in everything so often that I just assume there’s probably gay content in it and would look through it or research the book before buying it for my children.

And that’s what all parents need to start doing. It’s sad, but true.

Dept. of Education Says Colorado School District’s ‘Gender Identity’ Policies Violate Federal Law

The Department of Education on Friday announced that a Colorado school district is violating federal law with its broad-sweeping “gender identity” policies that disenfranchise female students.

The Department of Education said its Office for Civil Rights (OCR) concluded its investigation into Jefferson County Public Schools and found that it violated Title IX by allowing male students to access female bathrooms, locker rooms, overnight accommodations, and to play on female sports teams. 

Specifically, OCR found that the district has policies allowing students to access facilities and participate on sports teams that match their self-proclaimed “gender identity,” rather than their biological reality. OCR said it received athletic rosters from the district showing that male students may take up to 61 roster positions on girls’ sports teams in the district. 

“Today’s findings reveal sweeping Title IX violations by Jefferson County Public Schools—denying fairness and equality to female students by allowing males into their private facilities, overnight accommodations, and athletics. The District’s decision to prioritize ‘gender identity’ over ensuring equal access for its female students is unconscionable,” Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kimberly Richey said in a statement. 

OCR opened an investigation into the school district in June 2025 over allegations the district removed single-sex overnight accommodations from school trips.

School Branded 1st Grader ‘RACIST’ Over ‘Any Life Matters’ Drawing; Court Slams Principal

When a 7-year-old’s heartfelt sketch promoting equality gets twisted into “racism” by leftist school officials, it’s a chilling sign of how far indoctrination has gone—now finally overturned in a resounding First Amendment victory.

This case exposes the hypocrisy at the heart of progressive education: punishing a child for daring to change “Black Lives Matter” into a message of universal value, all while claiming to champion inclusion.

In 2021, at Viejo Elementary School in California, a first grader identified as BB created a simple drawing after her class learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and “Black Lives Matter.” The artwork showed four oval shapes in shades from orange to brown, representing friends holding hands, with the words “Black Lives Mater” above and “any life” below.

BB gifted it to a black classmate in a show of friendship. The child thanked her and showed no signs of offense. But the child’s mother complained to Principal Jesus Becerra, writing, “My husband and I will not tolerate any more messages given to our daughter because of her skin color. As the administrator we trust you know the actions that need to be taken to address this issue.”

Becerra confronted BB, telling her the drawing was “not appropriate” and “racist,” according to her account. He allegedly forced an apology, banned her from recess for two weeks, and prohibited her from giving drawings to classmates—without notifying her parents.

BB didn’t even fully understand “Black Lives Matter,” but added “any life” because she believed “all lives matter.” This innocent twist on the slogan clashed with the school’s apparent BLM doctrine, turning a gesture of friendship into a so called ‘microaggression’.

The family eventually sued the Capistrano Unified School District in 2023, but a lower court dismissed the case, with U.S. District Judge David O. Carter ruling that BB’s drawing “trampled on her classmate’s right to be left alone in school” and, remarkably, that First Amendment protections didn’t apply to such young students.

Waste of the Day: DEI Contractors Remain in Military’s K-12 Schools

Two teachers gave a presentation about how “elementary school is the perfect time” to “show students the diversity of gender expression and gender activity.” Educators were encouraged to hold “critical conversations” about “the relationships between identity and power” and “privilege,” which were meant to result in “crying” and “explicit confrontations.”

Many DEI consultants were removed after President Donald Trump took office in 2025 and ordered a ban on federal funds being used to teach or implement DEI principles, but some of the companies hired under Biden remain.

DoDEA paid $30,175 last year to continue gym teachers’ membership in the professional society, SHAPE America, which instills its National Health Education Standards in gym classes. Board member Cara Grant said of the health standards, “We recognize that systemic disparities exist within our educational systems, disproportionately affecting marginalized communities. Our approach is not simply to level the playing field but to dismantle the structures that perpetuate inequality.”

During a DoDEA presentation on the SHAPE standards in 2021, one teacher instructed her colleagues that “talking about heterosexuality as the norm” can “inherently cause conflict.”

DoDEA also paid $141,000 last year to the curriculum development company thinkLaw.
