Venezuelan National with Immigration Detainer Hold Arrested in Florida for Attempted Murder After Boarding Flight

A Venezuelan national with an immigration detainer hold was arrested this month for attempted murder outside of a barbershop in Margate, Florida.

19-year-old Joan Jose Ferrer Azuaje was at the barbershop and had an argument over an unlawful gun deal. This was according to the affidavit regarding his arrest.

The conversation between the parties became heated, and according to a witness, Azuaje opened fire on individuals outside of the barbershop on May 9th.

According to the affidavit, a 10-year-old boy was inside when the gunfire occurred. The boy’s father was hit by the gunfire. A mobile phone kept in his pocket prevented the bullet from entering his leg.

A teenager accused of shooting three people at a Margate barbershop was arrested on a plane at Tampa International Airport shortly before he was scheduled to take off for Colombia, authorities said Wednesday.

Officers went to the Dominican Style Barber Shop, 326 S. State Road 7, after a shooting was reported on the night of May 9, the Margate police said in a statement.

Joan Jose Ferrer Azuaje, 19, of Tampa, went to the barbershop that night and was there during an argument stemming from an illegal business deal over a gun, according to an arrest affidavit. The involved parties moved to the rear of the business to continue their conversation.

According to the police, three people were hit by the gunfire and had non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to make a full recovery.

Some of the neighboring businesses were damaged by the gunfire.

Syria blocks deportations from Germany, leaving more than 11,000 deportation orders in limbo.

Germany is facing a serious administrative bottleneck in its migration policy after it emerged that Syria is allegedly preventing the issuance of travel documents required to carry out thousands of already ordered deportations by German authorities.

The case affects, according to European sources, more than 11,000 Syrian nationals who have received notices to leave the country as part of legal return procedures. However, the lack of consular cooperation from Damascus has effectively stalled a large share of these expulsions.

A system blocked in practice

Although deportation orders have been issued in accordance with German law, their execution depends on a key requirement: official identification and the issuance of travel documents by the country of origin.

Without this documentation, German authorities cannot complete the process, which turns many of these decisions into open cases with no immediate possibility of execution.

The result is a silent but significant blockage within the European migration system, where national decision-making power collides with international reality.

American Freight Revival Enters Next Phase As Illegal Alien Trucker Chaos Continues

In a unanimous landmark decision, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Federal Aviation Administration Authorization Act (FAAAA) does not protect freight brokers from state-law negligence claims when they carelessly hire unsafe motor carriers.

The case, Shawn Montgomery v. Caribe Transport II, LLC, et al., marks a seismic shift in the trucking industry. For the first time in years, brokers can be held accountable when their profit-driven shortcuts lead to deadly crashes. This is a massive victory for crash victims and the small- to midsize carriers who actually move America’s freight.

American Truckers United (ATU) proudly filed an amicus curiae brief supporting the petitioner, exposing how blanket broker immunity had fueled a dangerous race to the bottom.

“It is implausible that Congress sought to immunize brokers from tort liability when their negligence leads to fatal or injurious motor vehicle crashes,” our brief stated. “Any time the government provides immunity from suit, it picks economic winners and losers… There is no reason to believe Congress chose negligent brokers to be the winners.”

The Broken System That Needed Fixing

For too long, freight brokers have operated with near-total immunity while sitting in the middle of every transaction, pocketing the spread between what shippers pay and what they actually pay carriers.  

Their incentive was brutally simple: hire the absolute cheapest truck possible — safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance be damned.

Resulting in brokerage’s share of the freight market exploding from roughly 6% twenty-five years ago to 29% today. Much of that growth came by flooding the market with cut-rate, often illicit capacity — including non-domiciled foreign drivers operating under lower standards that undercut responsible American operators.

Legacy American carriers shuttered at historic rates. Small fleets filed bankruptcy in droves. Mega-brokers and a handful of giant carriers captured massive new market share. The human cost was measured in wrecked trucks, ruined families, and lives lost on our highways.

A recent viral crash in California involving an illegal alien truck driver from India brought the issue back into sharp focus — and raised the obvious question: Which broker put that truck on the road?

Revealed: One of the Austin Shooting Spree Suspects is an Illegal with an ICE Hold

The Gateway Pundit reported that over the weekend, residents in the Austin, Texas area were asked to shelter in place amid reports of multiple shootings.

The Austin Police Department says at least three suspects were involved in as many as 12 shootings since Saturday.

Two of the shootings were at fire stations in South Austin.

At least four people were reported injured.

Police announced that 17-year-old Cristian Mondragon has been charged with six felonies, with more charges possible, including: Two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; Two counts of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle; Theft of firearms; Evading arrest with a motor vehicle.

The two other suspects are minors and will be processed through a different judicial system.

While in court, prosecutors noted that Mondragon is not a U.S. citizen and currently has an ICE hold.

Trump Admin Moves to Supercharge Deportations with Unprecedented Immigration Judge Addition

The Justice Department announced on Thursday the onboarding of over 80 new immigration judges, the largest addition in agency history.

The Executive Office of Immigration added 77 full-time judges and 5 temporary ones, according to a DOJ news release.

“The Trump administration is committed to reestablishing an immigration judge corps that is dedicated to restoring the rule to the law in our nation’s immigration system,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said.

“Today, we are onboarding the largest immigration judge class in agency history. This could only happen thanks to President Trump’s decisive leadership and commitment to securing our borders. I also applaud EOIR’s leadership team for helping facilitate these hiring efforts and recruiting highly qualified and talented personnel in record time,” he added.

EOIR has hired 153 permanent immigration judges since the start of the fiscal year Oct. 1.

The DOJ noted, “Reducing the immigration court backlog remains one of the highest priorities for the agency. Since January 20, 2025, EOIR has completed more than 1.08 million cases and has reduced its pending caseload in immigration courts by more than 447,000 cases, bringing the pending caseload down from approximately 4 million to under 3.53 million, the sharpest decrease in caseload in EOIR’s history.”

Senate Abandons Trump’s ICE, Border Funding Bill for Early Vacation; Thune Admits Paxton Endorsement Played Role

The Senate is heading home until June without finishing a reconciliation bill, after Republican tensions over the package coincided with President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-TX) against incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX).

Punchbowl News founder Jake Sherman posted on X: “BREAKING NEWS: THE SENATE will go home until June, leaving the reconciliation bill unfinished. THUNE just told senators in the room. All because of the DOJ weaponization fund. House is expected to follow suit soon.”

Brendan Pedersen, a senior reporter with Punchbowl News, posted on X: “Thune asked if Senate Rs are responding to politics — ie, Trump endorsements and snubs this week

‘It’s hard to divorce anything that happens here from what’s happening in political atmosphere around us,’ Thune said. ‘You can’t disconnect those things.’”

While Republican Senators publicly claim substantive issues with the bill were the driving factor behind the early vacation, Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) acknowledged President Donald Trump’s Tuesday endorsement of Ken Paxton over incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) weighed heavily on Republican Senators’ minds as they skipped town instead of advancing a top Trump priority as planned.

The comments came after Trump endorsed Paxton in the Texas Senate Republican primary runoff against Cornyn, a move that has sharply intensified pressure inside the Senate GOP ahead of the May 26 runoff.

Vice President JD Vance told Breitbart News White House Correspondent Nick Gilbertson on Tuesday, May 19, that President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Paxton “sends a message” that lawmakers “have got to serve the people” who elected them.

“Today we saw the president endorse Ken Paxton over John Cornyn in the Texas Senate race. Do you think that sends a message going forward for the next cycle to senators considering running for election, or any MAGA-aligned potential candidates that are considering challenging them?” Gilbertson asked.

“I’ve known John Cornyn for a long time, but unfortunately, you know, when it really counted, Ken Paxton was there for the country, was there for the president, and that’s why he ultimately earned the president’s endorsement,” Vance said.

Vance said Trump viewed Paxton as someone who would be a “better senator” and framed the endorsement as part of Trump’s broader push for Republicans who will fight for the voters who elected them.

“I think the message that people should take from this is, fundamentally, you have got to serve the people who sent you. If you don’t do that, you’re going to find yourself out of step with voters, or out of step with the President of the United States, and that’s not a good place to be politically,” Vance said.

The Trump Administration Is Facing Scrutiny for How It’s Handing Out Billion-Dollar Border Wall Contracts

When Tommy Fisher set out to build a section of border wall in South Texas during the first Trump administration, the project quickly became ensnared in controversy. Experts raised concerns about shoddy construction and signs of erosion.

Beyond that, Fisher’s company had received funding from a group called We Build the Wall, an influential conservative nonprofit that included President Donald Trump’s then-political strategist Steve Bannon as a board member. Some of its leaders eventually went to prison for their involvement in the venture.

Even the president denounced the project.

“I disagreed with doing this very small (tiny) section of wall, in a tricky area, by a private group which raised money by ads,” Trump wrote on X in response to reporting by ProPublica and The Texas Tribune in 2020 detailing problems with the wall project.

“It was only done to make me look bad,” the post continued.

But none of this stopped Fisher’s company from getting subsequent border wall contracts, including from the state of Texas. And now the federal government has awarded his company over $9 billion to build even more border wall — including a $1.2 billion contract in the Big Bend region of Texas, where residents have continued to press for answers about the government’s plans in and around one of the country’s largest national parks.

And, as during Trump’s first term, Fisher’s work is stirring up controversy again. A New York-based construction company has sued the Trump administration after it awarded the bulk of new Texas border wall contracts to North Dakota-headquartered Fisher Sand & Gravel and another company.

Posillico Civil Inc.’s lawsuit, filed in the Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., on May 13, offers one of the first public glimpses into the procurement process along the border in Texas. The suit claims that out of the 11 prequalified vendors for the wall projects, U.S. Customs and Border Protection awarded nearly $14 billion — about 73% of the value of the contracts — to just two: Fisher’s firm and Barnard Construction, based in Montana. The work also includes wall projects around El Paso, Laredo, Del Rio and the Rio Grande Valley.

The Trump administration has come under scrutiny for awarding no-bid contracts and for the lack of transparency around its accelerated border wall construction plans, moves designed to help the president achieve his key campaign promise of securing the border.

During his first term, Trump’s moves also faced criticism. A 2020 investigation by ProPublica and the Tribune found that the government was awarding contracts before acquiring titles to the land, leading to millions of dollars in costs related to delays. A review of federal spending data by the news organizations also revealed how the first Trump administration had made hundreds of contract modifications, increasing the cost of the border wall project by billions.

The administration has shown no signs of slowing down: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security secured $46.5 billion to build the border wall in 2025, thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Biden-Released Illegal Alien Gets 50 Years in Prison for Producing Child Porn of His Special Needs Niece, Nephew

An illegal alien, released into the United States by the Biden administration, was sentenced to 50 years in prison this week for the production of child sexual abuse material that involved his eight-year-old niece, who has special needs, and his eight-year-old nephew.

Angel Emilio Rodriguez-Marroquin, an illegal alien from Guatemala, was handed the sentence on May 18 after having been arrested in November 2025 by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Rodriguez-Marroquin was initially charged with the production of child pornography and possession of child pornography. Investigators found that Rodriguez-Marroquin had produced the abuse material using his eight-year-old niece, who has special needs, and his eight-year-old nephew.

“This depraved illegal alien from Guatemala pleaded guilty to producing and possessing child pornography, which included footage of him assaulting his own nephew and niece with special needs,” the Department of Homeland Security’s Lauren Bis said:

This monster would not have been in our country in the first place if it weren’t for the Biden Administration’s disastrous open borders that released him into our country. Thanks to our ICE law enforcement officers, this creep is behind bars, and after he serves his time, he will be removed from our country. [Emphasis added]

Rodriguez-Marroquin is the subject of a child sex crimes investigation, conducted by HSI, in Guatemala. The illegal alien first crossed the southern border in 2024 and was subsequently released into the U.S. interior by the Biden administration.

The semi-truck driver who was arrested for killing two people in a horrific hit-and-run near Sacramento, California, is an illegal alien from India.

Two people were killed near an offramp on Highway 99 in Lodi on Tuesday after the driver of a big rig caused a multi-vehicle crash.

The driver, identified by Fox News as Manvir Singh, fled the scene after causing the crash.

Singh is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and hit-and-run resulting in death.

DHS confirms to Fox News that the semi truck driver arrested for killing two people in a hit & run crash near Sacramento, CA yesterday is an Indian illegal alien who was caught & released at the AZ border by the Biden admin in 2023. His name is Manvir Singh, and he is now facing charges in San Joaquin County, CA for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and hit & run resulting in death. He allegedly tried to flee the scene on foot after the crash. ICE has placed a detainer on him with local law enforcement.

This is the fourth Indian illegal alien truck driver with the last name “Singh” that we’ve covered who has been arrested for killing innocent people in crashes around the country, going back to last year.

INSANE! UNLICENSED Illegal Alien Driver Causes Accident on Freeway Right Next to ICE Arresting Another Illegal

Real America’s Voice Correspondent Ben Bergquam, host of Law and Border, captured an incredible moment on camera when an illegal alien crashed his car on the same road as police were arresting another illegal alien driver.

During the arrest on the side of a highway in Broward County, Florida, Bergquam captured footage of a white pickup truck rear-ending another gray pickup truck. The gray truck, driven by an illegal alien, was hit after the driver slammed on the brakes and got into a minor collision with another car, which drove off, as the white truck collided with the rear.

Officers rushed across the highway only to discover another illegal alien driving one of the cars!

“We’re over here picking up one illegal driving this van, and then this ends up happening. This driver slammed on his brakes, this guy hits him, but then this guy just happens to be illegal too,” Bergquam said to the camera.

“The density of the population of illegals in America, most Americans just can’t comprehend it. I mean, literally, we’re picking up this guy. This guy’s an illegal driver, and gets rear-ended by this guy, who’s just on his way to work. Crazy,” he added.

Bergquam told The Gateway Pundit that the driver was discovered to be driving without a license or insurance. The driver had also been arrested multiple times prior for driving without a license.
