Americans Are Living in Fear of ‘Crimeflation’

Government statistics portraying robust jobs growth, shrinking inflation, and a booming economy aren’t squaring with Americans’ real-world experiences. The vast majority say their standard of living in recent years has gotten worse, not better.

A similar disconnect reveals itself on the subject of crime. For months, the White House and the mainstream media have been citing FBI statistics that purport to show the crime rate is coming down.

But ask residents of big cities whether they feel safer walking down the streets at night. Ask residents of border states whether they notice fewer problems with illegal immigration.

Ask mothers whether they feel more comfortable allowing their children to ride mass transit. Ask retail store managers whether shoplifting is occurring less frequently. Ask senior citizens whether they feel less likely to be targeted by scam artists.

The answer to all these questions would likely be a resounding “NO!”

Crime isn’t, in fact, going down. It turns out the FBI’s numbers were phony from the beginning.

The Bureau had initially reported there was a 2.1% drop in violent crimes in 2022. But after a revision to the data set, it admitted in a September 2024 press release that there was actually a 4.5% increase!

Trans suspect accused of killing Pennsylvania officer was earlier released without bail by leftist nonbinary judge

transgender suspect has been arrested over the fatal stabbing attack of a Pennsylvania State Police officer on a popular recreation trail outside of Pittsburgh on Monday. The suspect identified as Anthony Alexi “Antonia” Quesen, 25, of Pittsburgh, was previously arrested in June 2023 on felony robbery charges but was quickly released without bail by leftist nonbinary judge Xander Orenstein of the Magisterial District Court. Quesen skipped all further arraignments for that case and allegedly went on to kill.

Quesen, a biological male who identifies as a woman, was taken into custody Monday evening on criminal homicide charges. He is being held at the Allegheny County Jail awaiting arraignment, police said. The victim, identified as 44-year-old Benjamin Brallier, was a Liquor Enforcement Officer for the Pennsylvania State Police Department.

Tennessee AG Exposes ICE Plan to Release Illegal Aliens Convicted of Violent Crimes Into State

The Tennessee Attorney General’s Office announced that efforts by the governor and other state lawmakers were successful and ultimately stopped a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plan to release illegal immigrants, including convicted criminals, into the state.

State Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti announced Wednesday that after a lawsuit was filed by the AG’s office, ICE was forced to produce previously undisclosed information about the agency’s planned release of thousands of detained migrants, including convicted criminals.

The office said it obtained hundreds of pages of documents that shed light on federal authorities’ since-abandoned plan to transport potentially thousands of “single adult” immigration detainees into Tennessee.

Psychic and Police Share Details on Discovery of Human Remains in Maine

In an update to the curious case of the psychic who located mysterious human remains in Maine, the medium and local authorities have shared enlightening new details on the remarkable discovery. Laurencia Bourget sparked headlines earlier this week when it was revealed that, while helping a family with a decades-old missing person cold case, she zeroed in on an abandoned bowling alley where a skeleton was subsequently found. The unfathomable turn of events understandably raised eyebrows as it would appear to be undeniable evidence for the reality of psychic phenomena. Since news of the odd discovery broke, the medium as well as the police department where the remains were found have come forward with insights on what unfolded.

Explaining how the wondrous event came about, Bourget explained to a local TV station that she first received the psychic tip three years ago when she heard a voice reference a bowling alley. The message fell through the proverbial cracks until earlier this month when the mysterious communication occurred again. “It was very obvious when I heard it for the second time,” she recalled. The clarity of the communication was significant enough that she reached out to Dick Moreau, whom she has been working with in an attempt to find answers to the 1986 disappearance of his daughter Jennifer.

When Bourget and members of the Moreau family searched the location, the psychic quickly stumbled upon some clothing in a forested area behind the bowling alley. “I saw what looked like a stick sticking out of the sleeve,” she said, “so I went and grabbed it and pulled it out, and it was a bone.” Reflecting on the “emotional” experience, Dick mused that “she felt strongly, and we went there, and sure enough, we found a body.” Sadly, in a strange twist of fate, the remains were later found to be from a yet-to-be-identified man and not Jennifer Moreau, leaving her family yearning for closure to the cold case.

‘The Atlantic’ Immediately Debunked After Attempting Yet Another Trump Military Hit Piece

The sister of slain soldier Vanessa Guillén slammed The Atlantic after it used anonymous sources to allege that President Donald Trump disparaged her after discovering the funeral expenses.

Guillén’s death at the hands of a fellow soldier and his girlfriend became national news in 2020, with Trump comforting the grief-stricken family and extending death benefits. He also offered to cover the costs personally if the Army did not pay for the funeral expenses.

The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, however, attempted to rewrite history on Tuesday, claiming that Trump was outraged when he learned that Guillén’s funeral, which included heightened security and closed streets, cost $60,000.

According to the magazine—relying on an anonymous source—Trump allegedly said, “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a fucking Mexican!” and ordered then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to deny payment.

Guillén’s sister, Mayra, issued a viral statement on X, condemning The Atlantic’s distorted portrayal of her experience with Trump.

“I don’t appreciate how you are exploiting my sister’s death for politics- hurtful & disrespectful to the important changes she made for service members,” Mayra wrote on X, garnering over 3 million views.

“President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa. In fact, I voted for President Trump today,” Mayra added.

Psychic Locates Human Remains in Maine

A Maine psychic helping a family with a nearly 40-year-old cold case managed to locate human remains at a specific location that she sensed, though the body turned out to be someone else. The remarkable story reportedly began back in 1986 when 17-year-old Kimberly Moreau disappeared from the community of Jay. Over the ensuing decades, her family has tirelessly searched for the missing teen in all manner of ways, including working with local psychic Laurencia Bourget, who phoned Kimberly’s father, Dick, this past Saturday with some surprising news.

Recounting the call to a local TV station, he explained that the medium indicated that she “had a very strong feeling” about a wooded area behind an abandoned bowling alley in the community. “There was something up there,” Moreau recalled, “but she wasn’t sure what it was.” Intrigued by the unexpected development, the family waited for Bourget to arrive and subsequently set about searching the strangely sensed spot. Amazingly, he said, “we went up and the results were she was right” as, after about ten minutes of looking around the location, they found some skeletal remains.

Hollywood’s dark side revealed in disturbing case against producer

Hollywood crime has been making headlines lately, and it hasn’t been at the box office. Though Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and named associates have taken the spotlight, a lesser known but equally disturbing case has been part of the public sphere for the past few years.

Two summers ago, after a seven-month investigation, Hollywood producer David Pearce was charged with the death of two women, model Christy Giles and her friend, Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola. The women’s bodies were found at two separate hospitals in November 2021. Initially, Pearce was arrested and charged with allegedly raping and sexually assaulting four other women before being arrested for these crimes.

LAPD investigators allege Pearce, along with two cohorts, actor Brandt Osborn and cinematographer Michael Ansbach, met the victims at a late-night warehouse party in Los Angeles before continuing the night at Pearce’s apartment.

At the time of the original indictment, Pearce’s defense attorney stated a lack of evidence, though Pearce and Osborne were captured on surveillance leaving the warehouse around 5 a.m. on the day in question before eventually going to their shared apartment.

Kamala Harris ‘dear friends’ with Democrat who wanted child porn possession declared a non-felony: report

Presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris is allegedly close to a Democrat who has tried to make possession of child pornography a non-felony, the Daily Caller reported Thursday. That fellow Democrat is Mark Leno, a politician who served in the California State Senate until November 2016 and was known to Harris as a “dear friend.”

Leno wrote legislation that would have allowed pedophiles to possess up to 99 “items” of child porn without being charged with a felony, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said in 2006. A compact disc containing 1,000 pornographic images would have been deemed ONE item, the Caller noted, citing analysis from McCarthy.

When the legislation was proposed, McCarthy was sitting as the California Assembly Republican leader and said Bill 50 as it was first conceived would have provided pedophiles with some legal room to satiate their desire to view child porn without being arrested and charged with a felony.

Leno’s legislation was not embraced even by his fellow Democrats. The Caller noted that Democratic political analyst Pat Caddell told the Los Angeles Daily News: “What the Democrats did on AB 50 was insane, insane—100 exemptions for child porn? They had to figure out this was not good? If this seeps into voters’ minds, my God.’”

The mainstream media also balked, with the Los Angeles Daily News insisting: “Early on, AB 50 was filled with loopholes that would make your skin crawl. For instance, Leno provided an ‘exemption’ from felony charges if a suspect was caught with less than 100 pieces of child pornography. In a creepy all-time low, Assembly Democrats voted for Leno’s plan to go soft on child porn.”

Leno and Harris have remained close for over two decades as social media posts and archived news stories attest. He may have shared an election night dinner in 2003 with Harris.

FBI Fudges Violent Crime Stats To Hide 55 Percent Rise Under Biden-Harris Administration

When the FBI originally released the “final” crime data for 2022 in September 2023, it reported that the nation’s violent crime rate fell by 2.1 percent. This quickly became, and remains, a Democratic Party talking point to counter Donald Trump’s claims of soaring crime.

But the FBI has quietly revised those numbers, releasing new data that shows violent crime increased in 2022 by 4.5 percent. The new data includes thousands more murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults.

The Bureau — which has been at the center of partisan storms — made no mention of these revisions in its September 2024 press release

RCI discovered the change through a cryptic reference on the FBI website that states: “The 2022 violent crime rate has been updated for inclusion in CIUS, 2023.” But there is no mention that the numbers increased. One only sees the change by downloading the FBI’s new crime data and comparing it to the file released last year.

After the FBI released its new crime data in September, a USA Today headline read: “Violent crime dropped for third straight year in 2023, including murder and rape.”

It’s been over three weeks since the FBI released the revised data. The Bureau’s lack of acknowledgment or explanation about the significant change concerns researchers.

“I have checked the data on total violent crime from 2004 to 2022,” Carl Moody, a professor at the College of William and Mary who specializes in studying crime, told RealClearInvestigations. “There were no revisions from 2004 to 2015, and from 2016 to 2020, there were small changes of less than one percentage point. The huge changes in 2021 and 2022, especially without an explanation, make it difficult to trust the FBI data.”

“It is up to the FBI to explain what they have done, and they haven’t explained these large changes,” Dr. Thomas Marvell, the president of Justec Research, a criminal justice statistical research organization, told RCI.

The FBI did not respond to RCI’s repeated requests for comment.
