Rubio Hints at Preemptive Strike Option Against Iran

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while testifying before the Senate, hinted that the United States could take preemptive action against Iran and told lawmakers that Tehran’s leadership is at its weakest point in years.

“I think it’s wise and prudent to have a force posture within the region that could respond and potentially, not necessarily what’s going to happen, but if necessary, preemptively prevent the attack against thousands of American servicemen and other facilities in the region and our allies,” Rubio said during Wednesday’s Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Venezuela, Gulf News reported.

The Trump administration’s push to strengthen U.S. assets in the Middle East, including the deployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, is aimed at protecting more than 30,000 service members in the region.

“I hope it doesn’t come to that, but that’s, I think what you’re seeing now is the ability to posture assets in the region to defend against what could be an Iranian threat against our personnel,” Rubio said, referring to a potential preemptive strike.

He added that Iran’s military capabilities are “weaker” than they have ever been, but warned that the country has “thousands and thousands” of long-range ballistic missiles even though its “economy is collapsing.”

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has publicly supported protesters in Iran, warning Tehran that violence against them would bring military consequences.

He repeated that warning Wednesday, saying future action against Iran would be “far worse” than last summer’s strikes on its nuclear facilities.

IT BEGINS: Zohran Mamdani Announces Plans to ‘Tax the Wealthy’ to Compensate for NYC Budget Deficit

Well that was fast.

Zohran Mamdani has been mayor of New York City for less than a month and he is already talking about raising taxes on the ‘wealthy’ to make up the city’s budget deficit, which he claims is on par with the Great Recession.

Get ready to see a lot of Uhauls leaving the city.

CNBC reports:

New York Mayor Mamdani says city must hike taxes on wealthy to fill $12 billion deficit

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Wednesday said the city’s wealthiest must pay more in taxes to help fill the staggering budget deficit of more than $12 billion that he was left by his predecessor.

“This is at a scale that’s actually greater than what we saw here in New York City during the Great Recession,” Mamdani said of that budget hole during an interview with CNBC “Squawk Box” co-anchor Andrew Ross Sorkin at City Hall.

The Democrat, who took office on Jan. 1 after campaigning on a platform of hiking taxes on the rich, attributed the big deficit to “gross fiscal mismanagement.”

He pointed to actions taken by former Mayor Eric Adams, and by ex-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, whom he soundly defeated in the November general election, for causing that budget gap.

Mamdani vowed that his administration will be up front with New Yorkers about budget issues that have been “hidden from them for far too long.”

City Comptroller Mark Levine earlier this month said the new mayor faces a budget shortfall that is projected to total $12.6 billion over the next two fiscal years.

That comprises a $2.2 billion projected deficit on the city’s nearly $116 billion budget for fiscal 2026, which ends on June 30, and a $10.4 billion gap in fiscal 2027.

“This Is a Warning”: ICE Agents Follow Protesters Home

Federal agents in Maine are now threatening ICE watchers at their homes.

Liz Eisele McLellan, a volunteer ICE watcher monitoring the intensifying federal operations in Maine, told the Portland Press Herald that a federal agent came to her home to threaten her. “It was one of the scariest things that ever happened to me,” McLellan said.

McLellan said she spoke to one agent, while three cars blocked the street outside. “This is a warning,” one agent said, according to McLellan. “We know you live right here.”

McLellan said she called 911 and recounted what had happened to the dispatcher, who told her she should comply with orders from federal agents.

Last week, a masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent warned a woman filming their activities in Portland that her information would be entered into a “nice little database” that would label her a domestic terrorist.

This comes just weeks after an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother of two, while she was observing federal immigration operations in Minneapolis. The Press Herald report came out the day before CBP agents shot and killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old VA ICU nurse who was attending a Minneapolis protest in the wake of Good’s death.

Two people who work as volunteers in Minneapolis, driving supplies to immigrants hiding in their homes from federal agents and following ICE vehicles, told The Atlantic that agents had gone to their homes to threaten them too.

While legal threats against observers may sound absurd, a recent security threats assessment leaked from the Department of Homeland Security revealed the department’s intention to broaden the definition of domestic terrorism.

Democrats Want To Keep Illegals In America To Rig The Census And Congressional Apportionment

t may seem impossible, but Democrats have been losing their cool a little bit more than usual lately. And by “a little bit,” I mean a whole lot, with much of their fury driven by a brutal political reality highlighted by new census data.

Amid the recent deaths of two Minnesota street communists — who died as a result of their interference with immigration enforcement operations — Democrats have ramped up their opposition to the Trump administration’s efforts to deport illegal aliens present in the United States. While some (like Gov. Tim Walz) have taken their Nazi comparisons to new embarrassing heights, others have opted for calling for the impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

(Unsurprisingly, none of these bad actors have acknowledged their roles in encouraging such lawless behavior or, in Walz’s case, refusing to cooperate with federal officials like other states have done.)

The left’s rapid obsession with keeping illegal aliens in the United States — even those who have committed violent crimes — may seem strange to some. Especially given how the party’s top officials (such as former Presidents Clinton and Obama) previously touted deporting such individuals.

While Democrats may claim their stance stems from their supposed “compassion” for illegals, the real reason for their illogical and unsustainable position can be found in new data disclosed by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Earlier this week, the federal agency released its latest projections for U.S. population trends throughout the past year. Publication of the information was delayed due to last year’s Democrat-led government shutdown.

What the data showed is that many “red” and “toss-up” states experienced notable gains in population, while many “blue” states saw a net loss of residents. Put another way, Americans are fleeing predominantly Democrat-run states for those fully or partially controlled by Republicans.

This trend is significant when considering its implications for congressional apportionment (that is, deciding how many congressional seats each state is entitled to based on its population). Such a process relatedly determines how many electoral votes each state gets — a critical point for candidates running in presidential elections.

According to The American Redistricting Project, the Census Bureau’s new data indicates that, based on 2025 population estimates, the country’s 2030 apportionment would result in several red and red-leaning states (Texas, Florida, Arizona) gaining congressional seats. Blue and blue-leaning states (California, New York, Illinois), on the other hand, are projected to lose seats.

Such tallies, if ultimately correct and apportioned accurately, would represent a stark contrast to the 2020 apportionment, in which the Census Bureau subsequently admitted to undercounting mostly Republican-led states (five of six) and overcounting mostly Democrat-led states (six of eight).

Where Democrats’ unhinged opposition to deportations comes into play is the fact that the Census Bureau counts illegal aliens when conducting the census. This, in effect, skews the overall population count and results in states with large numbers of illegal immigrants being apportioned more congressional seats than they are otherwise entitled to.

430,000-Year-Old Wooden Tools Are the Oldest Ever Found

Early hominins in Europe were creating tools from raw materials hundreds of thousands of years before Homo sapiens arrived there, two new studies indicate, pushing back the established time for such activity. From a report:The evidence includes a 500,000-year-old hammer made of elephant or mammoth bone, excavated in southern England, and 430,000-year-old wooden tools found in southern Greece — the earliest wooden tools on record.

The findings suggest that early humans possessed sophisticated technological skills, the researchers said. Katerina Harvati, a paleoanthropologist at the University of Tubingen in Germany and a lead author of the wooden-tool paper, which was published on Monday in the journal PNAS, said the discoveries provided insight into the prehistoric origins of human intelligence. Silvia Bello, a paleoanthropologist at London’s Natural History Museum and an author on the elephant-bone study, which was published last week in Science Advances, concurred.

The artifacts in both studies, recovered from coal-mine sites, were probably produced by early Neanderthals or a preceding species, Homo heidelbergensis. Homo sapiens emerged in Africa more than 300,000 years ago, and the oldest evidence of them in Europe is a 210,000-year-old fossil unearthed in Greece. By the time Homo sapiens established themselves in Britain 40,000 years ago, other hominins had already lived there for nearly a million years.

Ilhan Omar Blames President Trump For Liquid ‘Attack’ in Unhinged Rant

Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar on Wednesday evening blamed President Trump for the apple cider vinegar attack.

President Trump and others speculated that the so-called attack on Ilhan Omar was staged to distract from the probe into her mysterious jump in personal wealth.

A man, identified as 55-year-old Anthony Kazmierczak, charged at Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar during a town hall on Tuesday evening and sprayed her with apple cider vinegar.

“DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment,” Omar said on Tuesday evening to applause.

A few seconds later, Kazmierczak rushed up to the podium and sprayed Omar with the foul-smelling liquid.

“We will continue! This f*cking a**hole is not going to get away with it!” Ilhan Omar shouted.

Ilhan Omar held a candlelight vigil for Alex Pretti, the violent armed man who was fatally shot by DHS agents while he was resisting arrest.

Omar claimed President Trump is “intimidating” her and blamed him for the apple cider vinegar attack.

When asked about the apple cider vinegar attack on Omar, Trump suggested it was staged.

“No. I don’t think about her,” Trump told ABC News. “I think she’s a fraud. I really don’t think about that. She probably had herself sprayed, knowing her.”

The Muslima claimed she has to pay for security because Trump is “obsessed” with her.

“I wouldn’t be where I am at today, having to pay for security, having the government to think about providing me security if Donald Trump wasn’t in office and if he wasn’t so obsessed with me,” Omar said.

“It is ironic that just last night he was on stage moments before I was attacked talking about me, and then when asked about my attack, he said, ‘I don’t think about her,’” she added.

Transgender Antifa Activist Who Threatened Rep. Nancy Mace Charged With Attempted Murder in Oregon

Last May, a trans activist and Antifa member made a death threat against Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina.

He is now behind bars in Oregon, having been charged with the attempted murder of another man. It just goes to show a lot of these people are completely off balance and will repeatedly cause trouble until they are stopped.

NewsBusters reports:

Antifa Transgender Who Threatened Rep. Mace in 2025 Charged with Shooting, Attempted Murder of Oregon Man

A biologically-male transgender member of the domestic terrorist group Antifa – who was not prosecuted when he posted an implicit death threat against South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace last May – is now in a women’s prison in Oregon and facing charges of attempted murder.

“This blood is on the hands of every prosecutor who looked at this threat and looked away. I pray for the safety of the women he’s housed with,” Rep. Mace said in a statement Wednesday, reacting to the news and recounting the death threat made against her by “a transgender named ‘Rem Heathen’ whose real name is Michael Richard Fadich, the Antifa violent extremist”:

“In May 2025, Fadich posted a graphic on Instagram depicting a gun pointed directly at Rep. Mace’s face. The message was unmistakable: he wanted her dead.

“The Office of Rep. Mace reported this threat. Prosecutors did nothing. Now, eight months later, he is charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting someone in Portland just last month. A man is in the hospital because the system failed to stop a violent extremist when it had the chance.”

FBI Raids Fulton County Elections Center

FBI agents descended Wednesday on Fulton County’s election operations hub in Georgia, the same county that became the epicenter of voter fraud complaints following the 2020 election.

Agents were seen entering the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center, a facility opened in 2023 and billed by state officials as a way to streamline election administration.

Authorities would not say exactly what prompted the search, but Fox News Digital was told the matter is tied to the 2020 election. The FBI declined further comment, and the Department of Justice did not immediately respond to requests for clarification.

FBI Atlanta confirmed it was “executing a court authorized law enforcement action” at the address of the county’s elections hub on Wednesday afternoon.

In an email to 11Alive, the FBI’s Atlanta office said agents were operating at 5600 Campbellton Fairburn Road in Union City, which serves as Fulton County’s main election operations center.

“Our investigation into this matter is ongoing so there are no details that I can provide at the moment,” a spokesperson said in the email.

An 11Alive crew was dispatched to Union City to gather additional information.

The federal activity comes weeks after the Justice Department sued Fulton County over access to election materials from the 2020 presidential race, keeping scrutiny on a county long at the center of election integrity battles.

Google agrees to $68m settlement over claims it recorded private conversations

Google is facing a class action after its users claimed the company was spying on them.

The company has agreed to pay $68 million to settle a lawsuit as users accuse the company of violating their personal privacy.

Google’s virtual assistant, an AI powered software available on android phones and tablets, has been accused of recording private conversations.

The software activates when users use “wake words”, a verbal cue prompting the device to actively listen to commands, like “Hey Google” or “Okay Google”.

The assistant is designed to only switch from passive monitoring to active listening when it hears wake words.

Obama-Era Report on ICE-Related Deaths Proves How Hypocritical Hysteria Over Alex Pretti’s Death Really Is

In case America missed it, Barack Obama hypocrisy is back.

The 42nd president — the man who gave Joe Biden the platform to win the presidency five years ago — deigned to weigh in this week on the death of armed protester Alex Pretti during a confrontation with Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis.

But a report from the last year of Obama’s presidency shows how hypocritical that statement actually was.

In a post published Sunday on the social media platform X, Obama called Pretti’s death a “tragedy” that “should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under attack.”

Any needless death is a tragedy, so there’s not much of an argument with Obama on that score. (Still, there’s a case to be made that Pretti contributed a good deal to the circumstances that led to his demise.)

But what exactly are the “core values” that are under attack?

The value in law enforcement officers enforcing the law? That’s not only what they get paid taxpayer money for, the laws they’re enforcing were passed by the Congress of the United States and signed by various presidents of both parties. (That’s a fact that seems to get lost in the shuffle.)

Or maybe Obama’s statement was prompted by the fact that there was a death involved — the second death related to President Donald Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown in Minneapolis in the span of a month.

Well, here’s where things get interesting. Years before the Biden presidency launched an era of border lawlessness unprecedented in U.S. history, and caused the illegal immigration invasion Trump is cleaning up, Obama had a reputation in leftist circles as “deporter in chief.”

Over the course of Obama’s eight years in office, more than 3 million individuals were deported, according to USA Today, citing Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse.

The difference is that leftists in the streets are opposing Trump, where they greeted Obama’s actions with muffled moans.
