Armed Self-Defense Incidents Show Why Second Amendment is Worth Safeguarding

For many supporters of the Second Amendment, it’s been easy in recent weeks to despair over the ways in which gun control advocates are successfully undermining the right to keep and bear arms. Virginia’s ban on future sales of standard-capacity magazines and so-called assault weapons is set to take effect on July 1, with state courts thus far appearing reluctant to intervene. New York and Connecticut became the latest states to pass “Glock bans,” which prohibit residents from buying one of the nation’s most widely available handgun brands.  

But not everything has been doom and gloom for lawful gun owners in other parts of the United States. The last few weeks have also featured some bright spots. In West Virginia, for example, law-abiding 18-to-20-year-olds may now enjoy their right to bear arms on equal footing with all other adults after legislation passed in April to expand the state’s permitless-carry protections finally went into effect. Down in Florida, meanwhile, state Attorney General James Uthmeier joined forces with Second Amendment advocacy groups, agreeing with them that the state’s mandatory three-day waiting period on gun purchases is unconstitutional and asking a federal court to strike down the law. And the Second Circuit struck down New York’s “vampire rule” in what is almost certainly a precursor to the Supreme Court’s imminent decision in Wolford v. Lopez regarding Hawaii’s version of the rule.

All of these are victories for the right to keep and bear arms, which Americans rely on to defend themselves and others far more often than many people realize. Even the notoriously anti-gun Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has acknowledged that most studies on the issue find that between 500,000 and several million defensive gun uses occur every year in the United States. An extensive 2021 national survey conducted by a Georgetown professor further substantiated this reality, concluding that Americans used their firearms defensively an average of 1.2 million times a year.

Graham Platner Hit with Yet Another Controversy Over Graphic Reddit Comments

Maine Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner is facing yet more scrutiny after archived social media posts surfaced containing graphic remarks, controversial political statements, and comments about military veterans.

The posts, recovered from Platner’s former Reddit account and reviewed by multiple outlets, remained accessible through internet archives despite efforts to remove much of his online activity. Among the material drawing attention was a response Platner posted in 2014 to an online discussion asking users to share offensive jokes.

Under the username P-Hustle, Platner responded to a Reddit prompt asking users to share “the most f*cked up, jaw-dropping, offensive joke you know?”

Platner replied with a joke that referenced incest, bestiality, and necrophilia.

“I was eating out my grandmother and it tasted like horse cum,” Platner wrote. “So that’s how she died…”

Additional archived posts showed Platner making sexually explicit remarks in various online discussions. In one thread, he wrote about associating the smell of portable toilets with masturbation. In another, he praised a drawing of male genitalia using graphic language.

One of the posts that generated significant attention dated back to 2013, when Platner weighed in on a discussion thread titled “shorts that prevent you from being raped.”

Responding to the post, Platner said:

Holy fuck, how about people just take some responsibility for themselves and not get so fucked up they wind up having sex with someone they don’t mean to? Men and women, you make a choice to consume enough of a substance to lose your self control. So if you don’t want to be in a comprising situation, act like an adult for fucks sake.

The recovered comments extend beyond sexual content. Platner also discussed his political beliefs on the platform, including describing his path toward communism. Other posts expressed support for Hamas’s military tactics and included remarks directed at a recipient of the Purple Heart that critics viewed as hostile toward wounded veterans.

Separate reports have highlighted an account bearing a username similar to Platner’s on the messaging application Kik. The platform has previously faced criticism by child-protection advocates and anti-exploitation organizations over its use by online predators. The profile reportedly featured a photograph of a man identified as Platner wearing only a towel.

Platner’s campaign has faced repeated scrutiny over allegations involving his personal conduct and past relationships. Lyndsey Fifield, a former partner, accused Platner of physically aggressive behavior during their time together. According to her account, he allegedly gripped her with enough force to leave bruises, confined her to a room following a dispute, and forcibly removed her from a taxi by pulling her wrists.

Separate reports alleged that Platner exchanged sexually explicit communications with multiple women during the first years of his marriage. Questions also arose over a tattoo previously displayed on Platner’s body that featured the Totenkopf, a symbol historically associated with Nazi organizations. Platner later obscured the tattoo with new artwork.

Department of Interior Releases Never-Before-Seen Footage of Vandals at Reflecting Pool as Fake News Media in Denial

The Interior Department on Tuesday released surveillance footage showing two individuals “destroying and removing a piece of the lining and attempting destruction” of the Reflecting Pool at the Lincoln Memorial, the Department says.

Deranged liberals have been tearing out the new American flag blue sealant that lines the bottom of the pool with the intention of giving the water a blue reflection. Several arrests were made over the weekend.

The vandals also inscribed “86 47,” calling for Trump’s death, on the grass of the National Mall and on the bottom of the Reflecting Pool in recent days.

Employees were seen erecting a fence around the Reflecting Pool on Tuesday as Trump says repairs are set to begin imminently.

Video provided to Fox News shows a male and a female reaching deep into the Reflecting Pool last Friday in what is allegedly an act of vandalism.

“In the video, you are seeing two suspects observed destroying and removing a piece of the lining and attempting destruction of the lining,” the Department of the Interior said in a statement.

“This incident took place on June 19, 2026, and we are investigating. Destroying, injuring, defacing or removing cultural or archeological resources is a federal crime.”

Elon Musk Threatens Legal Action Against Ro Khanna After Congressman’s Outrageous Lie

Elon Musk, owner of the social media platform X, has had it.

According to the New York Post, in a recent appearance on the leftist “I’ve Had It” podcast with insufferable host Jennifer Welch, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California insisted that Musk “needs to answer” for the “4.5 million children around the world who he possibly sentenced to death by dismantling USAID” while Musk ran President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE, in early 2025.

“Time to sue this liar,” Musk wrote Tuesday on X.

But Musk, who recently became the world’s first trillionaire, did not stop at the threat of a lawsuit. In fact, he made Khanna’s name synonymous with congressional stock trading.

“The standard applied by DOGE was very simple and easy: Provide contact information for the recipients of aid, so that we can confirm it is not fraudulent. The reality is that money was being sent to corrupt politicians under the guise of aid! Liars and stock insider traders like Ro the Robber should be in prison!!” Musk wrote.

Even BBC, The British Intelligence Mouthpiece, Now Admits Russia Is Winning In Donbass And The End Is Near

Tsarizm wrote last week that the end was near in Donbass as Russian forces now controlled key gateways to the region and stood on the brink of achieving their goal of forcing Ukrainian forces out of the area.

Now, as the end approaches, the British mouthpiece of MI-6, the BBC, confirms the situation in a remarkable admission.

Russian troops have infiltrated the strategic city of Kostyantynivka in eastern Ukraine and are now trying to surround it.

The entire city is now effectively in a “grey zone”, no longer controlled by anyone, Ukrainian soldiers have told the BBC.

“They get into areas behind our backs and in urban conditions it’s extremely difficult to push them out,” says a Ukrainian drone pilot who operates in that area and prefers to remain anonymous.

Kostyantynivka is a gateway to the rest of the Donbas region.

If it falls, Russian forces would be able push towards Ukraine’s last remaining strongholds in the east, the cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, and move closer to seizing Donbas completely, one of the Kremlin’s key objectives in this war.

We wrote recently — What Zelenskiy is not telling the world is that the city of Kostiantynivka in Donbass has recently fallen under the Russian advance. Russian forces are now focusing on Sloviansk, which once taken, will open the door to Kramatorsk in one or two months.

A situation is developing where a massive cauldron is forming, encircling thousands of Ukrainian troops and the Zelenskiy government will not order the withdrawal to save the soldiers.

“It is a deliberate slaughter of Ukrainian soldiers,” said a source in Kyiv. “It is intentionally losing a division.”

The realization of the situation on the ground explains the increase in long-range attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, the threats against Belarus and Poland, and the saber rattling by the EU.

It’s time to end the war, as Russian President Putin today offered negotiations with Kyiv. The Kremlin understands the situation on the ground as well.

Putin commented, “A coup d’état was carried out in Ukraine. The regime was brought to power that was crazy, anti-Russian.

“They were the ones who started the hostilities in Donbas. They used aviation, they used tanks, artillery, and so on, practically against the civilian population.

“For eight years, we endured, we tried to reach an agreement with them in every way. Then they announced that they would not reach an agreement by peaceful means.

“Well, we were forced to stand up for the protection of the people who live there.”

In our view, it’s time to end the war and prevent a much larger conflagration on The Continent, that the globalist EU leadership is pushing for.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has expanded his ridiculous “Transfemicide State of Emergency,” prioritizing a minuscule number of murder cases tied to transgender identity politics while Chicago grapples with persistent violent crime claiming nearly 200 lives already this year.

The vast majority of the homicide victims in the city are men, and the handful of cases tied to transgender identity make up a tiny fraction of the total.

“Transfemicide” is defined by the city and far-left activists as the “targeted killing of a transgender woman motivated by transphobic and misogynistic hatred.”

On Sunday, Johnson boasted of his prioritization of transgender crime victims in a post on X.

“For too many transgender Chicagoans, the sense of belonging they deserve in their city has been denied by exclusion and barriers to opportunity in spaces that should feel safe and welcoming,” Johnson wrote. “Since declaring a Transfemicide State of Emergency, our administration has strengthened the City’s capacity to support LGBTQ+ Chicagoans. This framework builds on that work by centering the voices and lived experiences of trans Chicagoans to chart a path toward a safer, more connected city.”

Sheer Madness: UK Tests Long-Range Missile For Ukraine To Bomb Moscow – The US Needs To Pull Out Of NATO Immediately

Ukraine is making it clear they are seeking to “bring the war to Russia” – and this is what’s behind the recent series of massive Ukrainian drone strikes on Moscow, which has wreaked havoc particularly on energy refineries, and air travel for the region. That Ukraine desperately wants to gain back what leverage they are able to is fully understandable, however, that NATO is backing such actions against a nuclear-armed superpower constitutes madness. 

Aside from covert targeting assistance, the UK is taking things in a more overt direction, having reportedly just tested missiles with a range of 300 miles which is intended to be sent to Ukraine’s military. 

The British missile platform has the capability of delivering 500-pound warhead to Moscow.

The Telegraph offers some further details regarding context to the major Ukraine support program in the following:

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) challenged firms to build long-range strike weapons that can fly at more than 370mph, cost about £400,000 each and can be built at a pace of 20 a month.

Some 27 bids from industry were made with Dragon’s Den-style pitches held last February, before six UK companies were awarded contracts worth around £5m each to design prototypes for testing in just seven months.

By last December, only three suppliers remained: MBDA UK, which makes the Storm Shadow stealth missile, MGI Engineering, a UK small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) with a background in Formula 1 technology, and Rotron Aerospace, another UK SME with a history of working with the MoD.

And the publication confirms that “New systems that can attack targets more than 300 miles away have been tested at a range in the Hebrides, with further trials taking place in the UK over the coming months.”

For missiles of this range and power, this is a relatively cheap price tag, and can apparently be rapid-produced at that.

UK Armed Forces Minister Louise Sandher-Jones has said the new missiles are intended to “complement” the Storm Shadow cruise missiles London sends to Ukraine.

“The UK stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Ukraine, and we will continue to provide the support it needs to defend itself against Russian aggression,” she stated. “Project Brakestop shows what happens when we combine that commitment with the talent and ingenuity of British industry.”

FDA Approves Merck Pneumococcal Vaccine for ‘At-Risk’ Kids as Young as 2

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expanded its approval of Merck’s pneumococcal vaccine Capvaxive for use in children ages 2 and up who are considered at increased risk for the disease.

The drug was specifically designed for adults, Merck said in a statement, but “may” offer additional protection for high-risk kids.

Critics pointed out that the vaccine adds to the list of childhood vaccines not tested against a placebo, and that it contains an ingredient linked to high rates of adverse events.

Children and teens with chronic conditions, including pneumonia, meningitis and bloodstream infections, can get the vaccine in addition to the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) they already get as part of routine pediatric shots recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The decision makes Capvaxive the only PCV approved as an extra vaccine for this group.

The vaccine protects against Streptococcus pneumoniae, which causes a wide range of bacterial infections, including pneumonia, bacterial meningitis and middle ear infections. The illnesses are typically treated with antibiotics.

CRM197: a questionable platform for childhood vaccines

The FDA based its expanded approval of the drug on results from a Phase 3 trial that enrolled 882 children and adolescents with chronic conditions.

The trial compared Capvaxive against PPSV23 (pneumococcal 23-valent polysaccharide vaccine), another vaccine that protects against pneumococcal illness — meaning it was not tested against an inert placebo.

Capvaxive contains CRM197, a protein. It is a mutant of the diphtheria toxin used to boost the immune response in some vaccines. In Capvaxive, bacterial sugars from 21 strains of pneumococcus are individually linked, or conjugated, to the CRM197, which enhances the body’s immune response to each of the bacteria.

Children’s Health Defense (CHD) Chief Scientific Officer Brian Hooker warned that giving a vaccine containing CRM197 to at-risk kids will be “another train wreck for children, but a boon for Merck as it opens up a fresh new market of children.”

That’s because research has found that other vaccines using the platform have high rates of adverse events.
