Alleged Deviant Terrorizes Women in NY, but Bail Law Keeps Him on the Streets

A repeat offender, described as looking and acting like a “caveman,” has been menacing women and girls in the New York borough of Queens for three months, the New York Post reports.

The bearded, long-haired man, identified by police as Mallik Miah, 31, has been arrested twice for recent incidents but not jailed because the crimes were not considered bail eligible under the state’s “progressive” bail reform law, police said.

Those incidents follow 41 arrests that began in 2010, “including forcible touching, weapon possession, assault, drugs, and burglary,” police sources told the Post.

“One victim, who asked to be identified only as Jessica, filed a police report after Miah allegedly smacked her on the rear at the 46th Street-Bliss Street subway station in Sunnyside on May 21,” the Post reported.

“The guy was coming up the steps in the little stairwell, and that’s when he reached over and assaulted me,” she told the Post. “I flailed my hands at him and yelled, ‘A–hole!’ and then ran down the stairs, because I was honestly a little afraid that he would throw me down the steps.”

Court records show that Miah, whose last known address was in the Bronx, was arrested and charged with forcible touching. He was released the following day.

Another woman, Jenn Shulte, 51, told a reporter she was riding the N subway one afternoon in June “with her 11-year-old daughter when they encountered Miah.”

“He had kind of a crazed look in his eye,” she told the Post. “He was saying, ‘I know you like black d–k, I know you’ve never had it this good, you don’t know how big it is, I’ll slide it right in.’”

Shulte did not make a police report, figuring there was nothing the police could do about it.

The newspaper’s report narrates more encounters with the man, including chasing customers at a Burlington Coat Factory, harassing women at an Astoria subway stop, and following a mother with her one-year-old while making foul comments.

The Post also quoted Michael Alcazar, a retired NYPD detective and John Jay College adjunct professor, who blamed bail reform laws for allowing deviants “back out into the wild.”

A 2025 Assessment: The Emerging Artificial Intelligence Threat

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has been alarmingly rapid since 2022. Before then, AI was considered little more than a plaything or a novelty.  But now it is transforming businesses, wiping out entire categories of office jobs, and threatening human liberty. The first practical release of the Claude AI code-writing tool just by itself has completely transformed the global software industry. I’m talking about a Buggy Whips level of industry transformation. As a personal illustration, I should mention that my youngest son is now in his third year at a university here in The American Redoubt, studying for a degree in computer science. His prospects for finding a job when he graduates in 2027 have dropped dramatically since his freshman year. I’m now advising him to pursue a career in software design rather than programming. Otherwise, he’ll be another buggy whip maker.

AI has also changed the blogosphere.  It has been estimated that by the end of 2026, nearly 90 percent of blogs will be written by AI. The Internet will be flooded with AI-generated schlock, and it will become more difficult to differentiate between that which is human-written and AI-written. The same is happening with video blogs (“vlogs”). In another year, it will be hard to tell if a vlog host is a real living, breathing individual, or something AI-generated.  By the way, don’t worry about SurvivalBlog. We shall stalwartly remain one of the last of the Old School blogs. Take that, you Clankers!

I don’t want to sound like a prophet of doom, but the advance of AI troubles me deeply.  We’ve been warning about the threats posed by AI in SurvivalBlog since 2014.

Pirro: Those carrying rifles or shotguns in D.C. will no longer face felony charges

United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro has announced that federal prosecutors will no longer pursue felony charges for mere possession of rifles or shotguns in Washington, D.C.

This change means that, except in certain cases, felony charges will no longer be implemented under a D.C. law that made it illegal to carry rifles or shotguns within its boundaries.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office will, however, continue to seek charges whenever a person is accused of committing a violent crime with a shotgun or rifle, or if the individual has a criminal record that prohibits them from possessing a firearm. The new policy also includes large-capacity magazines, but excludes handguns. Officials are also able to prosecute individuals in possession of unregistered rifles and shotguns in the district.

Pirro made a statement explaining that the policy change is in alignment with Supreme Court (SCOTUS) rulings protecting gun rights, and was enacted under the guidance of the Justice Department and the Office of Solicitor General.

The first SCOTUS ruling the former Fox News host referenced overturned a New York gun law in 2022 and held that Americans have a right to carry firearms I public for self-defense. She asserted that a blanket ban on the possession of shotguns and rifles violates this opinion. The second ruling cited was from 2008, where the court blocked D.C.’s ban on handguns within the home.

Ukraine, NATO, & Europe Will NEVER Accept Peace with Russia – You Will See

I have to admit that what I have seen from the Western Press is nothing but absurd propaganda and complete ignorance of the concept of strategy. They love to say Trump failed after previously pushing for a ceasefire and threatening severe consequences for Russia if Putin did not stop the war. President Trump appeared to back off that demand. WHY? If I were Putin, there would be no way I would agree to a ceasefire because the last time that only opens a window to rearm Ukraine. These morons are complete idiots at best, may be able to play checkers, but certainly never chess. I do not see any intelligence commenting on any network with the slightest concept of strategy.

Trump offered a security guarantee, and Steve Witkoff had told CNN that Russia agreed to “Article 5-like” protections for Ukraine during Friday’s summit. This is precisely what I have been saying. Putin has been there since 1999, and he has shown ZERO interest in taking all of Europe. That is the NATO/NEOCON Bullshit that was true with Khruschev when it was a war of Communism vs Capitalism.

Every source I have says the same thing that Putin may be the most intelligent man on the world table. Even the declassified document from Bill Clinton, dated November 19, 1999, said the same thing.

Democrat Rep. Al Green Is Fired. His Response Was to Call It Racist.

Representative Al Green, who has served Texas’s 9th Congressional District since 2005, will finally leave office.

The Texas Legislature, led by Republicans, passed a legal redrawing of congressional maps that effectively eliminates District 9. Green, best known not for legislation but for shouting down President Trump during his address to Congress in March 2025, will be removed from office after nearly two decades of loud, ineffective, and divisive politics.

Unsurprisingly, Rep. Al Green called the redistricting racist. But the only racial injustice here is the Democrat Party’s decades-long abuse of district lines to cling to power.

In his angry press release, Green declared that the elimination of his district—along with TX-18, TX-29, and TX-33—was part of a “racist, unconstitutional scheme” led by President Trump’s Justice Department and Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Corrupt Democrats Smear Michigan City With Election Fraud Scandals Including Individual Charged with Forging Nursing Home Ballots

The city of Hamtramck, Michigan, has a long and disturbing history of election corruption—one that Democrats have consistently ignored.

Just three days before Michigan’s August primary, surveillance footage obtained by 7 News Detroit showed a man placing three thick stacks of absentee ballots into a drop box while Hamtramck City Councilman Abu Musa sat in the passenger seat of the car.

Michigan State Police later confirmed they are finalizing an investigation, and prosecutors are expected to announce whether charges will be filed. Musa, who is up for re-election, has refused to comment.

If the ballots did not belong to Musa’s immediate family or members of his household, then Michigan election law was almost certainly violated. State law allows a person to submit absentee ballots only for themselves, their immediate family, or those residing in the same household—not for unrelated voters, and not by the stack.

But for anyone familiar with Hamtramck, this isn’t an isolated incident, but rather part of a systemic pattern.

In 2023, Trenae Myesha Rainey, a 28-year-old employee at the Father Murray Nursing Home in Center Line, Michigan, was charged with six felonies for forging absentee ballot applications—three counts of election law forgery and three counts of forging signatures, each carrying up to five years in prison.

Her case stemmed from the 2020 election, when local election clerks flagged approximately two dozen absentee ballot requests with mismatched signatures. A state investigation later found that Rainey had forged applications on behalf of elderly nursing home residents, many of whom were unaware of the forms submitted in their names.

Rainey used her position at the nursing home to access residents’ personal information and submit forged applications without their consent.

Though no fraudulent ballots were cast, her actions undermined the security of Michigan’s absentee ballot system.

Ultimately, Rainey accepted a plea deal and pled guilty to three misdemeanors for making false statements on absentee ballot applications. In April 2023, she was sentenced to 45 days in Macomb County Jail and two years’ probation.

And she is not the only one.

Thousands Of Grok chats Now Searchable On Google

Hundreds of thousands of conversations that users had with Elon Musk’s xAI chatbot Grok are easily accessible through Google Search, reports Forbes.

Whenever a Grok user clicks the “share” button on a conversation with the chatbot, it creates a unique URL that the user can use to share the conversation via email, text, or on social media. According to Forbes, those URLs are being indexed by search engines like Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo, which in turn lets anyone look up those conversations on the web.

Users of Meta‘s and OpenAI‘s chatbots were recently affected by a similar problem, and like those cases, the chats leaked by Grok give us a glimpse into users’ less-than-respectable desires — questions about how to hack crypto wallets; dirty chats with an explicit AI persona; and asking for instructions on cooking meth.

xAI’s rules prohibit the use of its bot to “promote critically harming human life” or developing “bioweapons, chemical weapons, or weapons of mass destruction,” though that obviously hasn’t stopped users from asking Grok for help with such things anyway.

According to conversations made accessible by Google, Grok gave users instructions on making fentanyl, listed various suicide methods, handed out bomb construction tips, and even provided a detailed plan for the assassination of Elon Musk.

xAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment. We’ve also asked when xAI began indexing Grok conversations.

Late last month, ChatGPT users sounded the alarm that their chats were being indexed on Google, which OpenAI described as a “short-lived experiment.” In a post Musk quote-tweeted with the words “Grok ftw,” Grok explained that it had “no such sharing feature” and “prioritize[s] privacy.”

Man who alleged hundreds were raped and buried in Indian temple town arrested

Police in India have arrested a man who recently alleged that he had been coerced into burying hundred of bodies of women who were raped before being murdered.

His startling claims had thrown the tiny religious town of Dharmasthala in the southern state of Karnataka into turmoil.

Home to the centuries-old temple to Manjunatha Swamy – an incarnation of Shiva from the Hindu holy trinity – the town attracts thousands of pilgrims daily and is central to the fabric of local people’s lives.

A political row in the state resulted in the government setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to verify the man’s allegations.

A SIT official who did not want to be named told the BBC on Saturday morning that the man “has been arrested for perjury”.

In early July, the middle-aged man had lodged a police complaint and appeared before a magistrate to record his statement. His identity has been withheld and, so far, he has appeared in public dressed fully in black, including a hood and a face mask.

In the police complaint which the BBC has seen, the man said he worked as a cleaner at the temple from 1995 to 2014 – and alleged that he had been forced to bury the bodies of hundreds of girls and young women who were brutally raped and murdered.

He narrated five alleged incidents where he gave specifics, and said there were many others. Some of the victims, the man alleged, were minors.

He said he had been in hiding since 2014 and had returned and spoken up to silence his nagging conscience.

The cleaner did not name anyone but blamed the “temple administration and its staff” – allegations the temple chief rejected as “false and baseless”.

When he was taken to the magistrate, the man went on to produce a human skull from his bag as evidence. He said it belonged to a body he had buried and that he had retrieved it recently from the spot.

“The skull and skeletal remains he produced are not brought from any spot in which he claimed to have buried the bodies,” the SIT official said.

Saturday’s arrest comes as a major turn in a saga that has set off a firestorm within the state and outside.

The allegations received intense media coverage. After concerns were raised by the state’s women’s commission, the government launched a major criminal investigation and set up the SIT.

For the past several weeks, the team conducted excavations at locations in and around Dharmasthala to verify the man’s claims. He had initially identified 13 spots – some of them in hard-to-reach areas covered by dense foliage and reportedly infested with venomous snakes.

Sources in the SIT confirmed to the BBC that human remains, including a skull and nearly 100 bone fragments, have been found at two of the spots and had been sent for forensic testing. It is not clear who they belong to.

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics shuts down illegal marijuana farms

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents, with assistance from multiple sheriff’s departments and county commissioners, served search warrants at three marijuana farms in southwestern Oklahoma, seizing over 40,000 plants and more than 1,000 pounds of processed marijuana.

The farms, located near Tipton, Frederick, and Grandfield, were targeted as part of an ongoing investigation into black market marijuana trafficking and fraud. Five people are currently in ICE custody, and investigators expect more arrests.

“We were at the height of this 8,400 grows, seen as the wild west of weed,” said Mark Woodward, with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. “We’ve really flipped the script, OBN is going to put your business under a microscope, if you’re a criminal you’re going to go to fail.”

Hypocrite Obama scorns gerrymandering — unless it benefits HIM

Former President Barack Obama this week inserted himself into the national debate over partisan gerrymandering with his proprietary blend of self-righteousness, self-interest and duplicity.

With Texas Gov. Greg Abbott pushing through a new congressional map to benefit Republicans and California Gov. Gavin Newsom seeking to do the same for Democrats, Obama lent a weary world his wisdom.

“Over the long term, we shouldn’t have political gerrymandering in America, just a fair fight between Republicans and Democrats based on who’s got better ideas,” he began in a Wednesday post on X.

“But,” he stipulated.

But of course.

“Since Texas is taking direction from a partisan White House and gerrymandering in the middle of a decade to try and maintain the House despite their unpopular policies, I have tremendous respect for how Gov. [Gavin] Newsom has approached this,” insisted Obama.

“He’s put forward a smart, measured approach in California, designed to address a very particular problem at a very particular moment in time.”

Who didn’t see that one coming?

Obama’s high opinion of himself has only ever been matched by his scorn for the masses.

He hopes no one will notice his blatant projection: Obama himself personally participated, to put it lightly, in a highly beneficial gerrymander over 20 years ago.

Without a doubt, the former president’s initial suggestion has merit.

It would be wonderful if House districts were drawn so as to be maximally representative of discrete communities, and to keep representatives maximally attuned to their constituents’ interests.

Perhaps one day the two parties will come together to ensure as much.

Alas, that’s not the world we live in today.

As it stands, both sides are locked in an unforgiving battle to enshrine the most structurally advantageous maps into law in as many states as possible.

In Illinois, where Texas Democrats initially fled to deny Abbott the quorum needed to pass his new map, Democrats represent 14 of 17 districts, or more than 82% of the state.

Yet Kamala Harris won Illinois last year by fewer than 11 percentage points, 54.4% to 43.5%.

Democrats achieved this feat by creating a map so preposterous that even Stephen Colbert felt compelled to ask Prairie State Gov. JB Pritzker about it during an otherwise softball interview.

In New Jersey, where President Donald Trump won 46% of the vote in 2024, the GOP holds just 25% of the congressional seats.
