Cabinet’s aim to plant two billion trees was a farce

The federal government’s 2019 initiative to plant two billion trees over 10 years, led by then-Environment Minister Catherine McKenna, is 89% short of its target and has cost $267.7 million to date.

Natural Resources Canada reported only 228 million trees planted, far short of the two-billion-tree pledge and less than half of what forestry companies plant annually, according to Blacklock’s.

“The government remains committed to restoring and conserving nature and biodiversity,” said the department. “Nature is part of Canada’s identity.”

Documents show the feds did not intend for the “two billion trees” target to be taken literally. “The government sought a name that would inspire that commitment and participation,” said a February 15 Department of Natural Resources memo. “So far that has worked.”

The point was to “rally interest,” testified Monique Frisson, director general responsible for tree planting. “How many trees is the two billion trees program supposed to plant?” asked Conservative MP Michael Kram. “I mean, 1.85 billion, 1.9 billion,” replied Frisson.

MP Kram then questioned if the two billion trees program would achieve its goal. Frisson clarified that the initiative always intended to count trees planted across various government programs, not solely those under the specific “two billion trees” program.

Director Frisson noted roughly 50 public servants are involved in the program, which aims to create 3,500 annual seasonal jobs to combat climate change.

Electromagnetic Weapon Destroys Drone Swarm In Seconds: ‘Singularity Event’

Drones have quickly become all the rage among military leaders and Silicon Valley investors, but new weaponry could threaten the nascent technology’s swift rise.

Last Tuesday, defense contractor Epirus quietly tested its latest electromagnetic weapon, Leonidas, against a swarm of 49 quadcopters, neutralizing them in seconds at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, according to Axios, the only news outlet invited to the groundbreaking test. Numerous U.S. military services and foreign allies, including Indo-Pacific partners, witnessed the event. In an interview with Axios, Epirus CEO Andy Lowery hailed the “forcefield system” as a “singularity event.”

The test by Epirus comes as the U.S. military is aggressively advancing its drone capabilities to maintain air superiority in an era of rapidly evolving unmanned systems, spurred by lessons from conflicts like Ukraine’s use of commercial drones against Russia. The Pentagon’s recent policy shift, announced in July by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, reclassifies small drones (Group 1 and 2, under 55 pounds) as consumables akin to ammunition, empowering lower-level commanders to procure and deploy them swiftly, bypassing cumbersome bureaucratic processes. The move, which is part of Hegseth’s “Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance” directive, mandates that every U.S. military squad, prioritizing Indo-Pacific units, integrate U.S.-made drones by 2026.

UK sucking resources out of Ukraine – Moscow

The British establishment views Ukraine as a source of cheap resources that can help alleviate the UK’s ongoing economic problems, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

Such a predatory attitude is typical of London, Zakharova said in an exclusive interview with RT on Wednesday.

Moscow considers the UK one of the main actors fueling the Ukraine conflict, claiming it collaborates with the EU to undermine diplomatic efforts made by US President Donald Trump.

“Britain has a history of aggressive colonialism and imperialism toward resource-rich countries,” she stated. “Ukraine holds significant potential in this regard, and Britain views it as a means of enrichment – or rather a lifeline given the current state of Western European economies.”

“London perceives Ukraine as merely a feeding trough, both now and in the future, from which it can extract essentially free minerals and refine them,” she added.

The Ukrainian leadership is not acting in the interests of its citizens, Zakharova claimed, but instead follows directives from “NATO, Western European elites, and local self-interested groups.”

“Ex-Milwaukee Police Community Relations Director Charged in Shocking Election Fraud Scheme — Illegally Voted 12 Times

Marcey Patterson, a former Community Relations Engagement and Recruitment Director for the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD), has been slapped with a felony election fraud charge after investigators discovered she voted illegally in at least 12 separate elections while living outside the city she claimed as her residence.

Court documents obtained by Spectrum News 1 show Patterson hadn’t lived in Milwaukee since 2018, yet she continued to cast ballots in city elections through 2025, all while listing her mother’s Milwaukee address on her registration forms.

Even worse, she used that false address to illegally pocket thousands in taxpayer-funded residency pay incentives from the police department.

Patterson, hired in 2022, was entitled to a 3% residency pay boost, but only if she actually lived in Milwaukee. She didn’t.

Records confirm she lived in Glendale and later in Brown Deer, yet she knowingly pocketed $8,226.78 in inflated paychecks based on the fraudulent claim.

Despite living outside the city, Patterson kept showing up at the Samuel Clemens School polling station in Milwaukee, signing her name in the poll books for election after election, including the November 2024 and April 2025 contests.

Detectives later confirmed that her official voter registration listed a Milwaukee residence she hadn’t lived at in years.

— Rep. James Comer (@RepJamesComer) September 2, 2025

Late last month, the Justice Department delivered thousands of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein to the House Oversight Committee.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer previously subpoenaed “all documents and communications relating or referring to” Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell by August 19.

As Comer announced the new development last month, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche released audio of his interview with Ghislaine Maxwell.

As TGP’s Paul Serran reported, Maxwell was interviewed for two days by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and as a reward, was transferred to ‘camp fed’ low-security Camp Bryan in Texas – a prison normally reserved to inmates at the end of their sentences – unless they are cooperating witnesses.

The DOJ has released the complete audio recordings of the two-day interview from Ghislaine Maxwell, ‘in the interest of transparency’.

College Students Can Take a Class to Learn How to Steal – Yes, Really

New York City college students at a four-year university in Manhattan can now take a course titled “How to Steal,” which promises to look at “radical ethics” around theft. Yes, you read that correctly.

Students at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts can take the four-credit class that will cost students upwards of $10,040 to look at things like the “aesthetics of theft in a world where accumulation is sacred,” the New York Post reported.

The report noted the insanity of the course description.

It read:

This field-based seminar explores the politics, ethics, and aesthetics of theft in a world where accumulation is sacred, dispossession is routine, and the line between private property and public good is drawn in blood.

Students will critically examine what it means to steal-from whom, for whom, and why— through site visits and fieldwork in places where capital is hoarded and value is contested: corporate storefronts, grocery chains, museums, libraries, banks, and cultural institutions.

The one part that really stood out was the part about how the course will ask the question, “Is it possible to steal back what was already stolen?”

It went on:

What does theft look like under capitalism, colonialism, and in everyday life? When is theft survival, protest, or care-and when is it violence, appropriation, or harm?

The course catalog concluded by pointing out that the class is “not a course in petty crime—it is a study in moral ambiguity, radical ethics, and imaginative justice.”

The irony of teaching this class in a blue state like New York, where criminals can shoplift less than a $1,000 worth of goods and face nothing more than a misdemeanor, is not lost. California was also a place where this craziness ruled the day, allowing people to just steal and face little consequences, before residents said enough was enough, passing Proposition 36, as RedState reported.

Belarus Tests Largest Unmanned Helicopter in CIS — Sky-Truck Takes Flight

Belarus has begun flight tests of the Sky-Truck, the largest unmanned helicopter in the CIS, capable of carrying up to 600 kg of cargo over 480 kilometers.

The Minsk-based design bureau Unmanned Helicopters has launched flight trials of the Sky-Truck, a multi-purpose UAV that represents the most advanced unmanned helicopter project in the post-Soviet space. With a flight range of up to 480 km and endurance of four hours, the Sky-Truck can deliver between 500 and 600 kg of cargo to remote or hard-to-reach areas.

The drone is intended for a wide range of uses, from the urgent delivery of medical supplies and food to transportation of military equipment and other critical cargo. Its maximum speed of 180 km/h and take-off weight of over two tons make it the most powerful UAV of its kind in the region.

The Sky-Truck’s massive 12.8-meter rotor is powered by a turboshaft gas-turbine engine running on aviation kerosene. Initially designed around the Russian VK-650 engine, the UAV has also been adapted to accommodate various Rolls-Royce powerplants, giving it flexibility for both domestic and international applications.

Large-scale unmanned helicopters of this size have rarely been showcased in Russia or the wider CIS. The Sky-Truck’s development signals a new level of ambition in Belarus’s aerospace sector, combining heavy-lift capacity with unmanned versatility.

CNN Panelist Jonah Goldberg Floats Gun Confiscation Fantasy: Democrats Could Deploy Military to Seize Guns from Law-Abiding Americans

Jonah Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Dispatch and longtime Never-Trumper, suggested that the Democrats could send the military to confiscate firearms from law-abiding Americans.

Goldberg framed his comments during a panel discussion on violent crime in major Democrat-run cities, comparing it to Donald Trump’s efforts to use federal resources to restore order in places like Chicago.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson signed an executive order last month, titled the “Protecting Chicago Initiative,” aimed at preventing the potential deployment of the National Guard by President Donald Trump to address the city’s rampant crime issues.

Johnson, a far-left Democrat, claims the order is necessary to defend residents’ constitutional rights amid fears of what he calls an “unconstitutional and illegal military occupation.”

The executive order comes as the Trump administration considers using Naval Station Great Lakes, a Navy base near Chicago, as a staging ground for immigration enforcement operations involving more than 200 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents.

Trump has been vocal about addressing Chicago’s crime woes, recently stating after deploying the National Guard to Washington, D.C., that his team would “straighten out” Chicago next, calling it “a mess” under an “incompetent mayor.”

During a CNN interview, Goldberg argued that if Republicans set certain precedents (like Trump’s use of power), then Democrats could use the same logic on issues they care about, such as guns.

He claimed if a Democratic governor like Pritzker (IL) or Newsom (CA) says “We have a gun crisis in America”, then under that precedent, they could justify sending in the National Guard to confiscate guns.

Russia’s Vector Institute Engineers Lab-Made Bird Flu Spike Protein for ‘Needle-Free Jet Injection’: Journal ‘Vaccines’

In new a study published last week in the journal Vaccines, Russia’s Vector Institute detailed how it engineered a lab-built H5 influenza spike protein—chemically optimized for durability and mass expression—under the banner of needle-free jet injection vaccine development.

The study, titled “Immunogenic and Protective Properties of mRNA Vaccine Encoding Hemagglutinin of Avian Influenza A/H5N8 Virus, Delivered by Lipid Nanoparticles and Needle-Free Jet Injection,” confirms yet another link in the chain of international bird flu pandemic countermeasure orchestration.

Lab-Built Hemagglutinin (HA)

The authors openly admit that they deliberately cut away the natural anchor of the bird flu spike and rebuilt it to be secreted outside the cell.

“In brief, the transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains were excised from the native HA sequence. For the purpose of secretion from cells, the signal peptide from the native sequence was retained,” the researchers write.

And further, they took the bird flu spike gene, inserted it into a lab plasmid, and added human RNA control elements plus a long poly(A) tail to boost expression.

“The HA gene, designed based on the native HA gene of the influenza virus A/turkey/Stavropol/320-01/2020 (H5N8) … was cloned into the pVAX-Cas1CC expression cassette … The cassette also contains the human α-globin 5′- and 3′-untranslated regions, as well as a 100-nucleotide poly (A) tail.”

They even confirm the same chemical alteration used in the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 shots:

“mRNA synthesis was performed … with uridine replaced by N1-methylpseudouridine.”

Pseudouridine—the synthetic mRNA ingredient swapped in for natural uridine—has now been shown to cause ribosomal “frameshifting” that makes the body attack its own proteins in roughly one-third of recipients, and in other studies has been linked to stimulating cancer growth and metastasis.
