An adviser to the Pentagon’s Counter-Extremism Working Group (CEWG) is warning the Biden administration’s efforts to purge the military of “extremists” could violate individual First Amendment rights.
Mike Berry, general counsel for First Liberty Institute and Marine Corps reservist, first sounded the alarm in a recent op-ed that said the CEWG is looking to formulate a new definition of extremism that could include constitutionally protected speech. He wrote in the Washington Examiner on June 19:
Instead of monitoring external threats, the Pentagon is on a mission to identify and remove whomever it labels as extremists from America’s armed forces. Ironically, the CEWG has yet to define what it means by ‘extremism.’ Extremism is usually defined as the threat or use of violence to achieve an ideological agenda. But the Pentagon is now poised to expand upon that definition to include constitutionally protected speech. In other words, sticks and stones may break our bones, but words are the biggest threat.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin set up the Counter-Extremism Working Group (CEWG) in April after vowing to root out extremists and ordering the entire military force to spend a day discussing “extremism.” Since there is no Pentagon definition for “extremism,” Austin tasked the CEWG, led by Bishop Garrison, to come up with a definition and to define activities that would be considered “extremist.”

The engineered spike proteins from SARS-CoV-2 can be STOPPED by a common “weed” that is exterminated from lawns every year. A German university study found that the common dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) can block spike proteins from binding to the ACE2 cell surface receptors in human lung and kidney cells. The water-based dandelion extract, taken from the plant’s dried leaves, was effective against spike protein D614 and a host of mutant strains, including D614G, N501Y, K417N and E484K.
The researchers used high molecular weight compounds taken from a water-based dandelion extract and put them to the test in human HEK293-hACE2 kidney and A549-hACE2-TMPRSS2 lung cells. The dandelion blocked the protein-to-protein interactions between the S1 sub unit of the spike protein and the human ACE2 cell surface receptor. This effect was also true against the spike protein mutations from the predominant variants in circulation, including the United Kingdom (B.1.1.7), South African (B.1.351) and Brazilian (P.1) variant.
The dandelion extract stopped SARS-CoV-2 spike pseudotyped lentivirus particles from attaching to lung cells and stopped an inflammatory process called interleukin-6 secretion. Because the study was conducted in vitro, further clinical studies are needed to understand how the dandelion extract is absorbed and utilized in biological systems of the human body.

Last week, the city council in Oakland, California decided to formally defund its police department of more than $18 million, a journey that started with a pledge last July during all those fun BLM riots.
Since the woke council announced that it would strip its public officers of resources, crime has predictably spiked in the city, just like it has around the nation.
Oakland has had nearly twice the number of murders as it did at this time last year and all violent crimes – including homicide, rapes, robberies, and assaults – are up 13%.
When you play stupid games, however, you win even stupider prizes – a fact that became all too apparent when two armed robbers held up the city’s chief of violence prevention while he was doing a TV interview AT CITY HALL!

One of the world’s biggest individual bitcoin holders, Mircea Popescu, has reportedly died in Costa Rica at the age of 41, leading to uncertainty over the $1 billion in cryptocurrency he leaves behind.
The billionaire drowned at Playa Hermosa de Garabito, Puntarenas, in Costa Rica, according to a Spanish-language publication, Teletica.com, which described the deceased as a “41-year-old foreigner.”
Popescu, a Romanian entrepreneur and blogger, launched bitcoin securities exchange MPEx in 2012, and was something of an evangelist for cryptocurrency.
Parents will have new, gender-neutral options for identifying themselves on a child’s birth certificate in Wisconsin starting July 1, Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced Monday.
Starting July 1, birth forms will also begin using “parent giving birth” as opposed to the term mother. This is a move backed by the Biden administration, who also prefers the term “birthing person” to mother.
According to Fox 6, birth forms, which are used to generate birth certificates, will be updated to include the option for “parent-parent,” in addition to the traditional “mother-father.”
Evers said the change reflects the administration’s commitment to recognizing diverse families and gender-neutral terminology.
The long-awaited unclassified report on the government’s preliminary assessment on UAPs, or unidentified aerial phenomena, from the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence hit the internet Friday. It revealed that the U.S. government reported 144 incidents of UAPs spotted between November 2004 and March 2021. However, 143 of those UAPs remain unexplainable. The only identified incident was a large, deflating balloon.
NASA Director Bill Nelson, a former Florida Democratic senator and onetime astronaut, spoke to CNN about the report Monday and revealed both his national security concerns and his belief that we are not alone in the universe.
Nelson, who has read both the classified and unclassified reports, told CNN that he has told NASA scientists to research possible explanations “from a scientific point of view” and report back.
He added that he “talked to the Navy pilots” who saw the UAPs and “that there is clearly something there.”
“It may not necessarily be an extraterrestrial, but if it is a technology that some of our adversaries have, then we better be concerned,” Nelson said.
Though he said he does not believe the United States’ foreign adversaries can create the technologies the government is looking into, the nation had better be prepared.
Then Nelson addressed the one-eyed, one-horned giant purple people eater in the room.
