Convicted Killer Karmelo Anthony Begs for Free Lawyer After Family Used $634K on ‘Living Expenses’

Convicted killer Karmelo Anthony is asking for a free lawyer to fund his appeal.

The request comes after a fundraiser raised nearly $634,000 for his family that went partly toward living expenses.

Killer Pleads Poverty

Anthony was convicted of murder and sentenced to 35 years behind bars on Tuesday.

He has since filed a notice of appeal to challenge the conviction.

He said in the appeal that he cannot afford a new lawyer, WFAA reported.

The documents describe him as a “penniless, destitute, and indigent person, too poor to employ counsel to represent me on the appeal.”

Fundraiser Pulls in Big Money

The fundraiser was posted on the crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo on April 15, 2025.

That was less than two weeks after Anthony fatally stabbed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.

The campaign, titled “Help Karmelo Official Fund,” set a goal of nearly $1.4 million.

It ultimately raised just shy of $634,000.

The fundraiser has since been taken down.

War, What Is It Good For?

Historically speaking, consider it strange beyond compare. There may, in fact, be nothing like it in the imperial history of this planet. The United States, the greatest power on Earth from the moment it defeated Nazi Germany and imperial Japan in World War II, has never again actually won a war of any significance (or even come close). And that’s true despite the fact that it’s distinctly been the numero uno power on this planet for the last century-plus, with by far the most powerful and wildly over-funded military that has fought any number of wars during these decades, always against seemingly far less powerful adversaries.

Of course, in the atomic age, wars between imperial great powers, as in World War I and World War II, are no longer truly conceivable. Still, over more than a century of great-powerdom, my country has certainly fought a remarkable number of wars, some for endless years, without a single victory (not one!), which is no small… well, I can’t use the word “accomplishment” (but feel free to add whatever word you think might be appropriate).

From the Korean War in the early 1950s (at best a draw) to Vietnam (Cambodia and Laos) in the 1960s and 1970s, a distinct loss (despite the slaughter of literally millions of Vietnamese, Cambodians, and Laotians, and 58,000 Americans); from the invasion of Afghanistan in October 2001 in the wake of the 9/11 attacks on New York City and Washington D.C., to the invasion of Iraq in 2003, both of which ended in dismal defeat (Afghanistan after 20 years of combat!), as did the full-scale Global War on Terror launched by President George W. Bush; and, in the era of Donald Trump, from the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean (where more than 60 random boats have been blasted out of the water) to the bombing of Somalia and Nigeria, and now the devastating air and naval war on Iran, the United States, despite its weaponry, has proven incapable of actually impressing its will on lesser powers in what might by now be considered an all-American militaristic tradition.

Graham Platner cheated on fiancée and bragged Nazi tattoo was reminder ‘US was the evil bad guy,’ lover tells Post

Maine Senate nominee Graham Platner kept his hideous Nazi tattoo to remind himself “the US was the evil bad guy overseas,” according to an ex-girlfriend with whom he cheated on his fiancée in 2021.

The left-wing streamer, who spoke to The Post, is the second woman to say that Platner knew about the fascist origin of his Totenkopf skull and crossbones tattoo — despite his claims that he didn’t realize it was a Third Reich symbol until last fall.

Her assertions were backed up by texts reviewed by The Post that she’d sent to her mom in September 2025 in which she blasted him for his “Nazi tattoo,” “small d—k” and claims that he tarnished her reputation by using her to step out on his fiancée.

The woman also offered allegations Platner cheated on a second partner before his current wife — a now-ex-fiancée he was engaged to around that time. 

“As a person who is a leftist, I immediately looked at him and asked him, ‘Is that a Totenkopf?’ and he told me a whole, ‘he will hold this weight forever’ bravado sob story about how it was, but he decided to keep it as a reminder that the United States was the evil, bad guy overseas,” she recounted.

TRUMP ADMIN CRACKS DOWN: Indian-American CEO Neeraj Sharma to Lose U.S. Citizenship Over Massive H-1B Visa Fraud Scheme Involving 11 Fake Bank Job Petitions

New Jersey staffing firm owner exploited the system for profit by filing fraudulent petitions with forged documents for nonexistent jobs, lied under oath to become a citizen anyway.

The Department of Justice, under President Trump’s leadership, has filed a civil complaint to revoke the naturalized U.S. citizenship of Neeraj Sharma, the former CEO and owner of Magnavision LLC, an IT staffing and consulting company based in Somerset, New Jersey.

Sharma, 50, an Indian-born national, is one of 17 naturalized citizens targeted in a sweeping denaturalization effort against fraudsters, sex offenders, drug dealers, and other criminals who lied their way into American citizenship.

According to the DOJ complaint and press release, between April 25, 2015, and April 27, 2017, Sharma, as CEO of Magnavision, signed and filed eleven fraudulent H-1B visa petitions with USCIS under penalty of perjury.

Each petition falsely claimed that the foreign IT workers had secured full-time positions at a major national bank. The filings included forged letters on the bank’s official letterhead complete with forged signatures of bank executives.

Sharma knew the documents were fake. He had never actually secured real jobs for the beneficiaries at the bank. Instead, he leveraged his own role as a contracted business analyst at the bank to manufacture the fraudulent sponsorship claims.

This was a classic exploitation of the H-1B program, intended for genuine specialty occupations and skilled talent, turned into a profit-driven scam. Sharma profited by recruiting foreign nationals desperate for U.S. visas and selling them the illusion of legitimate sponsorship through his staffing firm.

Sharma became a U.S. permanent resident in 2012. In April 2017, right in the middle of his fraudulent H-1B scheme, he filed his Application for Naturalization. Under penalty of perjury, and later in sworn testimony during his naturalization interview, he answered “NO” to key questions:

  • Had he ever committed a crime or offense for which he was not arrested?
  • Had he ever given false, fraudulent, or misleading information or documentation to U.S. government officials?
  • Had he ever lied to U.S. government officials to gain immigration benefits?

All lies. USCIS approved his application, and he took the oath of allegiance and became a U.S. citizen on December 7, 2017.

Jamaican National in North Carolina Indicted for Brazen Sham Marriage Immigration Fraud — Used Fake Union to Fast-Track U.S. Citizenship Then Scam VA Disability Benefits by Claiming Phantom Husband as Dependent

A 26-year-old Jamaican national living in Charlotte has been federally indicted for a calculated, multi-year scheme involving sham marriage immigration fraud, lying under oath to obtain U.S. citizenship, and then using that fraudulently acquired status to improperly claim VA disability benefits by listing her never-cohabitating “husband” as a dependent.

Britney Sherene Curry entered the United States on a six-month B-2 tourist visa on August 27, 2015 and promptly overstayed it by more than a decade. Rather than face deportation, she allegedly paid a third party to arrange a fraudulent marriage to a U.S. citizen.

According to the Department of Justice, Curry and her “husband” met for the first time on their wedding day and never lived together before or after the marriage.

After the sham marriage, Curry became a lawful permanent resident. That status allowed her to enlist in the U.S. Army, which in turn let her apply for naturalization almost immediately, bypassing the normal three-year waiting period for spouses of citizens.

She allegedly lied under penalty of perjury on immigration documents about the legitimacy of her marriage. Once naturalized, she even petitioned for her mother to receive lawful permanent resident status.

Less than two years after enlisting, Curry received a medical discharge from the Army. She then filed for VA disability compensation and listed her sham husband as a dependent to boost her monthly benefits, despite never having lived with him and not having seen him since before she joined the military.

According to the DOJ, “Under federal statutes, Curry is subject to a sentence of up to 20 years in prison on the wire fraud and mail fraud charges, up to 10 years in prison on some of the immigration charges, and faces the possibility of being denaturalized. The maximum statutory sentence is prescribed by Congress and is provided here for informational purposes, as the sentencing of the defendant will be determined by the court based on the advisory sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors.”

Section 702 Surveillance Reaches Its Friday Deadline. Why “Going Dark” Is a Myth.

The government’s broadest warrantless surveillance power is set to expire Friday after the House refused to keep it running.

Lawmakers voted down a three-week extension of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act on Thursday, 218 to 198, with 19 Republicans joining most Democrats against it and seven Democrats crossing over in support.

Speaker Mike Johnson had fast-tracked the bill under a process that needed a two-thirds majority, so the lopsided count sank it. The House then left town for a scheduled weeklong recess, which removes any path to a quick fix. Congress has already punted twice since the original April deadline.

The reaction from the program’s defenders followed a familiar script. They raised the same alarm at earlier deadlines and the catastrophe never showed up.

When Congress last renewed the authority in 2024, the law slipped past its midnight deadline and lapsed for under an hour before the Senate restored it and the surveillance kept running through the gap.

The warnings are back this week regardless. Sen. Tom Cotton, an Arkansas Republican, pressed for renewal ahead of the World Cup and backers keep noting that Section 702 feeds more than half of the president’s daily intelligence briefing.

“Democrats in the Senate are playing political games right now with the lives of Americans,” Johnson told reporters Wednesday. “It’s a very dangerous situation.”

What actually arrives at midnight Friday is legal limbo, not a blackout.

The FISA court signed off on the current collection in March and that order runs until 2027, so the machinery keeps operating on permission it already holds.

The court’s authorization runs for another year and the program continues whether Congress acts or not. The honest word for the risk is uncertainty, the kind that government lawyers and company lawyers argue over, and uncertainty does not sound like an emergency. So the defenders reach for “going dark” instead.

What sunsets at midnight is all of Title VII of the surveillance law, which carries separate powers the government uses to spy on Americans living abroad.

SHOCKING VIDEO: Black Woman in Florida Films Herself Punching Random White Man While Ranting That He Was on the Karmelo Anthony Jury, Second Attack in New Trend of Racially Motivated Assaults?

A disturbing video has gone viral showing a black female in Florida approaching a seated white man, accusing him of serving on the jury that convicted Karmelo Anthony of murder, then punching him in the face.

This is the second viral video in as many days of a white person being attacked and falsely accused of being on the Anthony jury.

The victim was not, and could not have been, on the jury. The murder trial took place in Collin County, Texas, not Florida.

The video was uploaded to Facebook by a woman named Mesha Keaton, of Tampa, who appears to be the attacker.

In the footage, Keaton approaches the man, who is sitting outdoors, and demands: “Hey, hey, weren’t you on the motherfucking jury selection?”

When he denies it, she insists, “Yes, you was,” before physically assaulting him.

She continues ranting during the attack.

Trump Threatens to Invoke DC Home Rule and “Take Back Washington” if Socialist Mayoral Candidate Wins – “We Won’t Put Up With It”

President Trump threatened to invoke the DC Home Rule Act on Thursday and “take back Washington” again if DC elects a Socialist mayor in the upcoming election. 

Democratic Socialist DC Councilmember Janeese Lewis George is widely considered the frontrunner in next week’s election.

Asked about how he would feel if she won, Trump told reporters, “I wouldn’t like it.” He continued, “Maybe we’ll take back Washington, run it on a federal basis. We won’t put up with it. We’re not going to lose our businesses.”

Previously, signed an executive order declaring a “crime emergency” and invoking powers under section 740 of the DC Home Rule Act to federalize the police. He also deployed hundreds of federal agents and National Guard troops across the capital.

Section 740 allows the President to take control of the Metropolitan Police Department under “special conditions of an emergency nature.”

“By the way, Washington, now, is a safe, beautiful place,” Trump said, touting the success of his DC crime crackdown last Summer and his efforts to restore national parks and monuments across the city.

Decker: One of the two leading candidates, Janice Lewis George, is running a Zohran Mamdani campaign, focused on socialist policies. How would you feel if she emerges victorious in next Tuesday’s primary?

Trump: Well, I wouldn’t like it, and maybe we’ll take back Washington, run it on the federal basis. We won’t put up with it. We’re not going to lose our businesses. By the way, Washington, now, is a safe, beautiful place. We had 22 fountains, Doug, that are all working, not one of them worked for years, for 25 years, 40 years, 58 years. Actually, the pool didn’t work from 19— it was 1928 it was built, it always leaked because it was done in stone. Now it’s done properly. It’s not gonna leak at all.

But this is a beautiful place. People are coming, restaurants are thriving. The restaurants were all closing, closed. Nobody wanted, now, you can’t get restaurant space, you can’t get into them. We have a thriving community. We got rid of the crime. We’re 92% down on crime. Think of it, and we’re going to be close to 100% pretty soon. You always have some whack job someplace, but we’re going to be close to 100%.

So, Washington is thriving, Memphis is— the people came in from Memphis, 74% reduction in crime. New Orleans, think of that, 78% reduction in crime. They had the safest Mardi Gras that they’ve ever had. You know why? Because we sent in people that take care of crime. Chicago should do it, New York should do it. Los Angeles should do it. We’ll make them safe places.

Trump’s Iran Predicament Is His Own Fault

Over the weekend, Iran and Israel launched direct strikes on each other for the first time since all parties agreed to a ceasefire back in early April.

It began with an Israeli strike on Beirut after a US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and the government of Lebanon was rejected by Hezbollah—the actual combatant that is fighting Israeli forces. Iran responded as they warned they would, with a wave of ballistic missiles aimed at targets in Israel. The Israeli government claimed all those missiles were intercepted—though videos posted to social media appear to show at least some getting through.

After the attack, Trump reached out to reporters and claimed he was going to call Israeli PM Netanyahu and tell him not to attack Iran in response. The president told a Financial Times reporter that he, not Netanyahu, was calling the shots.

However, a few hours later, Israeli forces did exactly what Trump had publicly demanded they not do and launched airstrikes on targets across Iran. Afterward, Trump called on both sides to “stop shooting” and, at the time of writing, it appears that both have for the moment.

But the situation remains just as fragile as it had been before the exchange.

One of the main sticking points holding back Trump’s attempt to reach a lasting peace deal continues to be the fighting in Lebanon. Days after US and Israeli strikes killed Iran’s supreme leader, the militant group Hezbollah began launching rockets into Israel, presumably to help exhaust interceptor stocks and to take some heat off their allies in Iran.

In response, Israel launched a ground invasion of southern Lebanon. The Israeli government ordered the evacuation of all territory up to the Litani River. Israel’s defense minister claimed none of the 600,000 residents would be allowed to return to their homes until Israel felt that its security was guaranteed (meaning when Hezbollah was no more).

Eventually, as US and Israeli interceptor stockpiles dwindled and the global economic consequences of the war became more acute, Trump backed down from his original demand of an “absolute surrender” and pursued a ceasefire with Iran.

However, despite all the tactical successes of US and Israeli forces, on the strategic level, time was more on Iran’s side. US and Israeli missile defenses were running dangerously low. And Iran had made it clear to everyone that they are the dominant power controlling the Strait of Hormuz and that it was rather straightforward for them to use that power to cause worldwide economic pain—something that gave them, arguably, even more leverage over their opponents than they had before Trump launched the war.

What appears to have convinced the Iranians to agree to a ceasefire despite a position that was getting stronger with time was both an assurance from Trump that the fighting would also stop between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon and some signaling that the US was willing to unfreeze Iranian assets or deliver some form of financial compensation to the Iranian regime.

Trump may have succeeded in convincing the Iranians of both, but that was the easy part. If he is genuine about wanting to reach a deal, he faces several difficulties that make a lasting peace agreement highly unlikely in the near future.

For starters, Lebanon, being a key part of not only a potential future deal but of the ceasefire itself, has kicked off what is, in effect, a game of chicken between Israel and Iran. The Israelis seem to want either for the war to restart and continue until the Iranian regime collapses or, at least, for Iran to abandon Hezbollah. And the Iranians appear to want the US to step in and restrain the Israelis. 

Towards those ends, Israel has continued to launch attacks in southern Lebanon. In fact, they have recently pushed north of the Litani River and occupied territory beyond the already massive “temporary” buffer zone they announced back in the spring. And Iran has launched strikes across the region in response to signal their continued support for Hezbollah and their willingness to return to a full-on war if Trump doesn’t keep the Israelis in line. As the Iranians probably intended, the current setup highlights and amplifies the differences between Trump and Netanyahu’s aims.

The regime currently in power in Tel Aviv has invested a lot of time, energy, and money in the last few decades into steering US military power towards Israel’s regional rivals. The American warfare state, which is always in need of new enemies to justify its existence, has been happy to oblige on a number of occasions.

Black Activism In America Has Become Cultural Poison

Much like the feminist movement (or any leftist movement), black rights activism in America has mutated from its original form into something bizarre and monstrous.  Civil rights conflicts tend to be born from legitimate grievances if a society’s intention is to create general “equality” under the law.  But this is only the surface view, the lipstick, the young and naive version of what these movements are all about.

They appeal to the western sense of honor, reason and fairness. However, there is such a thing as suicidal empathy.  The western world has become so infatuated with the idea of total equality that many people are willing to overlook the undeniable and sometimes dangerous differences between ethnic groups and their subcultures. 

Lacking the ability to discern and yes, discriminate to a logical degree, is not something the west can afford to do.  What happens when civil rights become a license for cultural elimination?  White people, a minority in decline with 11% of the global population, have to stop exercising empathy and start exercising caution. 

The Karmelo Anthony case is just one of many examples of expansive minority violence against white Americans being justified in the name of civil rights.  To be sure, there are many black conservatives out there who do not agree and they are being targeted by left-wing activists for speaking out.  But sadly, a vast majority of blacks in the US are captured by the far-left plantation. 

They don’t want to leave, because woke ideology tells them they are perpetual victims.  And in the mind of perpetual victims everything is permissible.  All behavior is justified, including murder and the destruction of the host civilization.  Even Austin Metcalf’s family, the true victims in this situation, are not safe.
