Ex-CIA Chief David Petraeus Briefs Officials in Israel Overseeing “New Gaza”

Former CIA Director David Petraeus—one of the godfathers of the modern doctrine of counterinsurgency warfare—last week visited the U.S.-military run coordination center established in southern Israel to oversee the so-called ceasefire in Gaza, multiple sources from the diplomatic community told Drop Site News.

In his remarks at the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) in Kiryat Gat, Petraeus praised Israel’s shift to clearing, holding, and rebuilding—a change from his previous criticism that Israeli forces were not implementing lessons from the U.S. counter-insurgency operations in Iraq, in particular the creation of “gated communities.”

One week prior to Petraeus’s visit, the U.S. Army presented the CMCC with plans for a “Gaza First Planned Community” in Rafah, as first reported by Drop Site. The residential compound would house up to 25,000 Palestinians in an area under full Israeli military control and would include biometric entry, identity checks, reeducation programs, and controls over aid and housing.

According to two sources with knowledge of the daily workings of the CMCC, the “Gaza First Planned Community” is intended to function as a pilot project—the first known step in the overall reconstruction plan of a “New Gaza.” The compound will be funded by the UAE, according to The Guardian.

Petraeus’s January 21 appearance at the CMCC coincided with President Donald Trump’s inauguration of the so-called Board of Peace the following day at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. At the ceremony, Trump said he was “committed to ensuring Gaza is demilitarized, properly governed and beautifully rebuilt,” adding: “I’m a real estate person at heart and it’s all about location. And I said, look at this location on the sea, look at this beautiful piece of property.” Trump was followed by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who listed among the priorities for the coming 100 days a “Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energize Gaza.” There will also be a process to “synthesize the security and governance frameworks to attract and facilitate these investments,” Kushner said.

In his remarks to the CMCC, Petraeus compared the 2007 U.S. troop surge in Iraq to the military operation in Gaza. Petraeus, who presided over a massive escalation of U.S. troops during the occupation of Iraq and the arming of local militias in what became a brutal sectarian civil war, is the former commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). He also dramatically expanded night raids and CIA and Special Operations missions inside Afghanistan. He was a key player in the expansion of U.S. covert warfare in Yemen and elsewhere in the Middle East and Africa before President Barack Obama installed him as CIA director.

Apart from promoting the implementation of gated communities based on his history in Iraq and Afghanistan, Petraeus is likely taking a special interest in Gaza because of the business opportunities Trump appears to be selling. Soon after his resignation from the CIA in 2012, Petraeus began work for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), a powerful U.S. private-equity and investment company. Petraeus is currently a partner at KKR, chairman of the KKR Global Institute, and chairman of KKR Middle East, which has offices in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Petraeus also used his CMCC address to highlight the field manual for counterinsurgency that he developed at the end of 2006. That manual (which is available here) “establishes doctrine (fundamental principles) for military operations in a counterinsurgency (COIN) environment.” In it, Petraeus writes “Not all Islamic insurgents or terrorists are fighting for a global revolution. Some are pursuing regional goals, such as establishing a Sunni Arab-dominated Iraq or replacing Israel with an Arab Palestinian state.”

During her speech, she committed a brutal self-own by stating “No one is illegal on stolen land” before going on bash immigration enforcement.

“We need to keep fighting and speaking up,” she added. “Our voices do matter.”

No Way To Win in Iran

On 29 January 2026, I was on the “Deep Dive” with Lt. Col. (ret.) Danny Davis. We had an excellent discussion on what President Trump’s options are in a war against Iran. We both agreed that he has no good military option at this point or for the foreseeable future, which is not to say Trump will not attack. But all the evidence indicates that he would be foolish to do so. Indeed, it is quite clear that the Israelis, who asked him not to attack on January 14th, when he appeared ready to do so, still have reservations about the wisdom of an attack.

It is worth noting that the Israelis launched major attacks by themselves against Iran on 19 April 2024 and 26 October 2024. They then launched major attacks with the United States against Iran during the 12-day war in June 2025. Today, Israel is apparently planning to sit on the sidelines while the US attacks Iran by itself.

What is going on? Netanyahu tried hard to drag the Biden administration into attacking Iran with Israel in 2024, but failed. Biden and his lieutenants understood that a war with Iran was not in the American national interest. Netanyahu succeeded, however, in getting Trump to join forces with Israel and attack Iran in June 2025. Now he has helped maneuver Trump into contemplating a US-only war against Iran, although it appears that the Israelis are getting cold feet. Someone is being played for a sucker.

“Ask Jeffrey”: Epstein Ran Wexner’s Pro-Israel Philanthropy Machine, Emails Reveal

Six months after Jeffrey Epstein’s death in August 2019, the philanthropic foundation founded by billionaire fashion tycoon Leslie Wexner published an “independent review” of Epstein’s involvement in the organization, in response to concerns raised by donors and alumni of foundation-funded programs. The Wexner Foundation is one of the largest contributors to pro-Israel causes in the U.S.

The review claimed that Wexner Foundation staff had “no contact” with Epstein after his resignation as a trustee in September 2007, and, before that, he had “played no role in the management or administration of the Foundation’s operations,” had “no meaningful role in the Foundation’s budget [or] finances,” and “did not make decisions regarding the use of Foundation’s funds.” None of that is true.

Hundreds of leaked emails from Epstein’s Yahoo inbox, spanning from 2005 to 2008, contradict the Wexner Foundation report. Inside the Wexners’ family financial office in Ohio, staff treated Epstein as de facto chief financial officer, where major decisions about taxes, lines of credit, eight-figure funds transfers, and politically sensitive grants were routed through Epstein’s lawyer, and required Epstein’s approval.

Ricky Gervais Slams Grammy Winners for Political Speeches, They’re ‘Still Not Listening’

Comedian Ricky Gervais, who has hosted the Golden Globes multiple times, slammed Sunday’s Grammy winners for their overly political speeches, noting they’re “still not listening.”

Gervais posted an image of a quote from his most recent hosting gig in 2020, when he roasted woke-Hollywood.

“If you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech,” Gervais said at the time.”You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything.

“You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.”

He added to his prior remarks, noting,  “They’re still not listening.”

During the Grammys, winners took the time to virtue-signal their wokeness.

Singer Kehlani, who won a Grammy for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for her hit song ‘Folded,’ said, “I hope everybody’s inspired to join together as a community of artists and speak out against what’s going on.”

She added, “I’m gonna leave this and say, F*ck ICE!” as the audience full of leftists cheered.

Billie Eilish, who won for “Song of the Year,” said during her speech, “No one is illegal on stolen land.”

“We need to keep fighting and speaking up,” she added. “Our voices do matter.”

Before concluding with, “F**k ICE.”

Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny declared, “ICE Out,” while accepting the Album of the Year Grammy award for Debí Tirar Más Fotos.

This reportedly marked the first time a Spanish-language album has won Album of the Year, which should come as no surprise, as Hollywood and the left try to force Americans to accept the replacement of our American demographics and culture.

And when he took the stage to give his acceptance speech, he snubbed the official language of the United States, delivering a speech in only Spanish.

Lawsuit Challenges National Park Service Ban on Cash Payments

Across the United States, cash is quietly disappearing from places that once took it without question. Government agencies and private businesses now route even the smallest transactions through digital networks that record who paid, when, and where.

This has created a growing dependence on card processors and mobile payment companies that profit from every exchange and hold the power to deny or suspend access.

That dependence has now reached federal land. The National Park Service has begun refusing cash at dozens of parks and historic sites, forcing visitors to use electronic payment systems to enter public property.

A lawsuit challenging that policy argues that by excluding physical currency, the agency is violating federal law and pushing citizens into a digital system that tracks their movements and spending.

Attorney Ray Flores has filed an appeal with the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, seeking to overturn the dismissal of a lawsuit against the National Park Service (NPS) for refusing to accept cash at dozens of federal sites.

The case, backed by Children’s Health Defense, centers on whether a federal agency can legally decline the very currency the government itself issues.

At issue is the NPS policy that bars visitors from paying park entrance fees with cash. The appeal argues that the agency has violated both the Administrative Procedure Act and the Legal Tender Statute, which defines US coins and bills as “legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues.”

Flores wrote that the district court’s earlier decision effectively “demonetized the U.S. Dollar on federal property without justification.”

His brief asks the appeals court to declare the policy unlawful or send the case back for trial.

Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin slammed Schiff noting, “Wow. A sitting U.S. Senator manipulated and erased half of @DHSgov’s tweet.”

“Why does @AdamSchiff want to hide from the public that DHS is offering those in the country illegally $2,600 and a free flight home to self deport?”

ICE Arrests Illegal Alien Accused of Rape and Strangulation After Sanctuary New York City Set Him Free

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested an illegal alien whose rap sheet includes arrests for rape and strangulation after a Democrat judge in sanctuary New York City set him free on drug charges.

On Monday, ICE officials announced the arrest of illegal alien Gerardo Miguel-Mora of Mexico in New York City. Miguel-Mora had most recently been arrested on larceny and criminal possession of stolen property charges.

Last week, Judge Sheridan Jack-Browne (D) in Brooklyn allowed Miguel-Mora to be released from jail despite ICE lodging a detainer against him so that he would not be released back into the community.

“These are the types of public safety threats New York Governor Hochul and Mayor Mamdani are releasing from their jails onto the streets to perpetrate more crimes and create more victims,” the Department of Homeland Security’s Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Miguel-Mora’s criminal record in the United States dates back over a decade. In 2011, Miguel-Mora was arrested for rape, strangulation, assault, forcible touching, burglary, and disorderly conduct in New York City.

The following year, Miguel-Mora was convicted of burglary by the New York State Supreme Court and sentenced to three and a half years in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release. Miguel-Mora served just a handful of months in prison before being deported to his native Mexico.

Noem directs federal officers in Minneapolis to immediately start wearing body cameras

omeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Monday that the Trump administration is deploying body cameras for every federal agent in Minneapolis after two protesters were killed during clashes with agents in the city last month. 

Minneapolis has been a hotspot for Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids in the wake of revelations of large-scale public fraud linked to the Somali expat community in the state, which has prompted anti-ICE riots in the city.

Noem said that the order was made in conjunction with President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan, Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott and acting ICE Director Todd Lyons.

“Effective immediately we are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis,” Noem said in a post on X. “As funding is available, the body camera program will be expanded nationwide. We will rapidly acquire and deploy body cameras to DHS law enforcement across the country. The most transparent administration in American history—thank you [President Trump]. Make America Safe Again.”

The move comes as congressional Democrats push Republicans to include body cameras as part of their demands to pass a DHS funding bill this week. Democrats are also calling for the legislation to include requiring judicial warrants for immigration arrests, a ban on agents using masks while on duty and creating a “uniform code of conduct and accountability.”

The move also comes after a federal judge in Chicago last year ordered federal agents to wear body cameras, following the agency’s use of tear gas against protesters.

Obama Is Big Mad That ICE Is Enforcing the Same Laws He Bragged About Enforcing

Batya Ungar-Sargon criticized former President Barack Obama for condemning the Trump administration’s deportation agenda following the death of Alex Pretti, arguing that the criticism misplaces responsibility and ignores the role of state and local officials who refused to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

In remarks responding to Obama’s statement issued after Pretti was killed during a confrontation involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minneapolis, Ungar-Sargon said the former president had reversed the facts surrounding the incident.

“Friends, we’ve let President Obama down. The former Democratic President would like you to know that the Trump administration’s deportation agenda is a threat to our nation,” Ungar-Sargon said.

She added that Obama made the claim in a statement published after Pretti “was tragically killed in a scuffle with ICE agents.”
