Illinois Cop Fired Over Trying to Help ICE with Social Media Post

The city of Elgin, Illinois, has terminated a police officer following an internal investigation into a social media post that referenced federal immigration enforcement.

City officials announced that Officer Jason Lentz was fired after an independent review determined he engaged in misconduct tied to a post made in October.

Lentz had been placed on administrative leave after Elgin Police Chief Ana Lalley became aware of the post and initiated an investigation.

According to the city, the post included a reference to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and listed locations where the officer sarcastically suggested agents should not conduct enforcement.

The message read, “If I were ICE, I wouldn’t check…” followed by a series of locations.

Lentz included comments alongside each suggestion, such as “definitely none there” and “there’s no way you’d find any there.”

The post also tagged the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Kathy Hochul: Oops, That Climate Law Was a Mistake…

Kathy Hochul is up for reelection this year, and has a big, big problem: for all the talk about an “affordability” agenda, every single policy the Democrats like to push increases costs, reduces quality of life, and drives people out of Blue states.

And one of the worst problems she faces is skyrocketing energy bills, and the prospect that those prices will rise even more and faster in the next few years as climate deadlines rapidly approach.

The pressure is so great, both because consumers are pissed off and businesses that can move begin doing so, that Hochul wants to “delay” the climate goals she and the Democrats were so excited about just a few years ago

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday moved to alter and delay the implementation of New York State’s landmark 2019 climate law, which calls for gradually decreasing greenhouse gas emissions by certain deadlines.

Those proposed adjustments include delaying issuing the regulations for enforcing the law — already two years late — until 2030 and amending how certain emissions are measured.

“We need more time,” Ms. Hochul wrote in an editorial that was published on Friday morning in The Empire Report, a news site that covers state politics. “So much has radically changed since the Climate Act was enacted, necessitating common-sense adjustments.”

The proposal, anticipated by lawmakers in Albany, comes late in the budget negotiation process. Although Ms. Hochul has considerable leverage to push for her agenda during this time, members of the Legislature will need to approve the final budget, which would include changes to the climate law.

So much has changed since 2019? Not really. Every sane person then knew that these goals were unattainable, but the pursuit of them would inevitably mean skyrocketing energy costs.

Machine Gun Found on Bus Rider in Anti-Gun Washington State

Anti-gun activists love anecdotes. They like to present stories of people who survived horrific experiences or who lost people in senseless atrocities, all to try and leverage our emotions into supporting gun control.

The problem is that we’ve got stories, too. We’ve got a lot of them. They range from people who lost loved ones to people who used guns for self-defense.

Or, there are times when we just trot out the stories that show how little their preferred laws actually do.

King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies say neighborhood complaints about crime in White Center are skyrocketing.

To combat that increase, the KCSO Special Emphasis Team has been working alongside the Department of Corrections and King County Metro’s Bicycle Emphasis Enforcement Squad (BEES) to conduct extra patrols.

On Tuesday, KCSO deputies were on an emphasis patrol when they found a man smoking weed on a bus. Major Hamill tells us the BEES followed the bus and had the driver pull over so they could take the man into custody for smoking weed on the bus.

“The deputies stumbled onto something much bigger from just that small stop,” Hamill said.

He tells us the deputies tried to escort the man off the bus, but he became uncomfortable and tried to pull away.

When they patted him down, Hamill said deputies found a gun — an Uzi with a silencer under the man’s shirt and tucked down his pants.

An Uzi is a military-grade machine gun that is generally illegal to own in the United States.

That’s right, some dude was sitting on the bus, smoking weed, while walking around with a suppressed Uzi.

There are a number of transferable Uzis in civilian hands. I’ve got a buddy who has one, actually, and there are a whole lot more than his running around out there, so it’s not quite accurate to say it’s “generally illegal” to own. It’s quite legal, so long as you’ve got the money and the paperwork.

Musk found guilty of misleading investors

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has been found guilty in California of misleading investors during his $44 billion purchase of Twitter in 2022.

The class-action lawsuit, which had been filed shortly before Musk took control of the social media platform that he subsequently re-branded as X, focused on two tweets and comments made by the tech billionaire during a podcast in May 2022. Following those statements, including a post claiming that the Twitter deal was “temporarily on hold,” the company’s shares plunged by almost 10% in a single session.

The nine-man jury in San Francisco delivered its verdict on Friday, stating that the tech billionaire did mislead the shareholders, who sold Twitter shares at a lower price as a result of his announcements, with the tweets.

However, it also found that there was nothing wrong with what Musk said on the podcast and that he did not intentionally “scheme” to mislead the investors.

‘Roblox’ Programmer Faces 40 Child Porn Charges.

Jamie Borne, a 30-year-old probationer, was arrested in New Orleans after probation officers discovered a child-sized sex doll and electronic devices suspected of containing child sexual abuse material during a routine visit to his home. Borne, who identified himself as a programmer for the Roblox gaming platform, was serving probation for a 2023 conviction involving smoke grenades and a firearm.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill confirmed that ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Louisiana State Police were involved in the arrest. During the visit on February 26, probation officers reportedly found the child-sized sex doll in Borne’s bedroom, along with child clothing, condoms, and electronic devices believed to contain material related to children under 13 years old.

Borne was booked on 40 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of possession, trafficking, or importing a child sex doll. He is being held on a bond of $50,000 per count. Louisiana state law stipulates severe penalties for these offenses, including hard labor sentences of up to 20 years without parole for possession of child sexual abuse material and additional penalties for trafficking or importing child sex dolls.

Roblox, the gaming platform where Borne worked, has faced scrutiny in recent years for its lack of age restrictions and alleged facilitation of predatory behavior. According to Louisiana Attorney General Murrill, Roblox allows access to millions of games, including some that allegedly feature explicit content. Murrill has filed a lawsuit against Roblox, citing its failure to implement proper safeguards for minors.

The platform reportedly has 151.5 million daily users, with a significant portion being minors. Twenty percent of the user base is under nine years old, and another 20 percent falls between the ages of nine and twelve. Critics argue that this demographic makeup makes it especially urgent for Roblox to address safety concerns.

Democrats Rattled After California Sheriff Seizes 650,000 Ballots in Election Integrity Crackdown

Riverside County Sheriff and California gubernatorial candidate Chad Bianco has seized more than 650,000 ballots from last November’s election as part of an investigation into potential discrepancies in the county’s vote count.

The probe follows allegations from the Riverside Election Integrity Team that the county’s tally may have been inflated by more than 45,000 votes.

“This investigation is simple: Physically count the ballots and compare that result with the total votes recorded,” Bianco said at a Friday press conference.

He said the review will determine whether the results are accurate.

“There is no acceptable error, small or large, in our elections,” he said.

The investigation covers ballots tied to Proposition 50, which passed in Riverside County with 56 percent of the vote, a margin of more than 82,000 ballots.

Riverside County Registrar of Voters Art Tinoco said the alleged discrepancy stems from a misunderstanding of incomplete data.

He said the actual variance was 103 votes, or 0.016 percent.

REMINDER: Special Counsel John Durham Confirmed that Dirty Cop Mueller’s “Steele Dossier” Was a Total Lie

Special Counsel John Durham claimed that not a single piece of information in the Steele dossier was ever corroborated.

Dirty cop Robert Mueller used the Steele Dossier to frame, investigate, harass, and attempt to indict and impeach President Trump.  It was all a lie used to destroy the Trump Presidency and the lives of many surrounding President Trump.

Special Counsel John Durham testified after looking into Mueller’s Special Counsel’s work:

“THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SUBSTANTIVE PIECE OF INFORMATION IN THE DOSSIER THAT HAS EVER BEEN CORROBORATED BY THE FBI OR TO MY KNOWLEDGE ANYONE ELSE”

People’s lives were destroyed by Mueller. He didn’t care.  He was on a mission to overthrow the President of the United States, President Donald J. Trump.  The basis for his investigation was the Steele Dossier.  It was all a lie.

In April 2019 we confirmed again that the Steele Dossier was a total lie. Here is what we reported:

We know that the Simpson and Steele dossier was paid for by the Hillary team and used as the only basis to spy on candidate and then President Donald Trump. None of the dossier could be confirmed by Steele. Now a lengthy analysis of the dossier proves that it was written by multiple individuals and contains many lies.

Iran threatens to ‘completely’ close Strait of Hormuz and hit power plants after Trump ultimatum

The United States and Iran threatened to target critical infrastructure Sunday as the war in the Middle East, now in its fourth week, puts lives and livelihoods at risk throughout the region.

Iran said the Strait of Hormuz, crucial to oil and other exports, would be “completely closed” immediately if the U.S. follows up on President Donald Trump’s threat to attack its power plants. Trump late Saturday set a 48-hour deadline to open the strait.

Israeli leaders visited one of two southern communities near a secretive nuclear research site struck by Iranian missiles late Saturday, with scores of people wounded. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was a “miracle” no one was killed.

Netanyahu claimed Israel and the U.S. were well on their way to achieving their war goals. The aims have ranged from weakening Iran’s nuclear program, missile program and support for armed proxies to enabling the Iranian people to overthrow the theocracy.

There has been no sign of an uprising, nor of an end to the fighting that has shaken the global economy, sent oil prices surging and endangered some of the world’s busiest air corridors. The war, which the U.S. and Israel launched Feb. 28, has killed over 2,000 people.

The Iranian-backed Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an airstrike that killed a man in northern Israel, while Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called Israel’s new targeting of bridges in the south “a prelude to a ground invasion.”

“More weeks of fighting against Iran and Hezbollah are expected for us,” said Israeli military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin.

Meanwhile, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates said early Monday their air defenses were dealing with missile and drone attacks as air raid sirens sounded in Bahrain.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt Appoints Oil & Gas Executive Who Reportedly Donated to Adam Kinzinger to Fill Mullin’s Senate Seat

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has chosen oil and gas executive Alan Armstrong to fill the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Markwayne Mullin.

The move comes as Mullin barrels toward confirmation as President Trump’s Secretary of Homeland Security.

President Donald Trump announced that Oklahoma Senator and undefeated MMA fighter Markwayne Mullin will lead the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) effective March 31.

If Mullin is confirmed and leaves the Senate, Kevin Stitt, the Republican governor of Oklahoma, will be required to appoint a temporary replacement to serve until voters choose a senator in the next election.

Under Oklahoma law, Governor Kevin Stitt will have 30 days to appoint a temporary U.S. senator to fill the vacancy until voters decide the seat in the next election.

The appointee will serve only briefly and is expected to sign an oath promising not to run for the seat in the upcoming election, a measure designed to prevent the advantages of incumbency in the race.

According to NOTUS, citing three sources, Stitt selected Armstrong, a longtime energy executive and former CEO of Williams Companies, to serve out the remainder of Mullin’s term.

The news outlet reported that Armstrong and Stitt were expected to meet with President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago to finalize the decision.

Reports reveal Armstrong previously donated $5,800 to former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of the most vocal anti-Trump Republicans.

Citizens In Eastern Ukraine Will Not Be Allowed To Vote, Zelensky Says

President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that Ukraine and Washington are in talks about holding elections, after earlier this month he much belatedly said while under pressure from Trump that he’s ready to allow national elections, so long as they can be done fairly and freely.

Zelensky indicated current discussions also hinge on the US and other partners helping set the conditions so Ukrainians can vote in safety. He previously stated the country could hold a vote within 60 days – but only if there are security guarantees.

Already over the weekend he erected more barriers to holding a vote, stipulating that citizens in Eastern Ukraine would not be able to participate.

“Any election in Ukraine can not be held in Russia-occupied parts of the country,” Zelensky has been quoted in international press as saying, and he once again added that a proper voting process can take place only if security is ensured.
