The Policewoman Who Remembered Britain Was Still Britain

A Metropolitan Police officer stood on Whitechapel Road surrounded by men who wanted a Christian preacher stopped. One of them gave her his reason plainly: “This is Whitechapel. This is a Muslim area.”

Her answer shouldn’t have required courage.

“In this country, we have freedom of speech.”

The video, filmed in Whitechapel, shows the officer defending a Christian preacher’s freedom of speech while being surrounded by a group of men.

The encounter, filmed in Whitechapel Road, has been widely shared on social media, and appears to have been shot last Monday, a day before the beginning of Ramadan.

In the footage, uploaded to YouTube channel Auditing Britain, a man holding a Bible can be heard preaching the Gospel just yards from the East London Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Western Europe, accommodating up to 7,000 worshippers for daily prayers.

The officer tells the group: “I understand that you guys don’t want to hear it, so I would just recommend that you walk away and don’t listen to him. He’s not in your home.”

A man wearing a facemask can be seen replying: “This is Whitechapel, this is a Muslim area.”

People are seen yelling at the preacher, with one bearded man shouting: “Talk about Jesus, don’t talk about Muhammad”, and another shouting “Your God is a Jew.”

One man accuses the preacher of “spreading hatred”, alleging that he was calling the Black Stone in the sacred Kaaba building in Mecca “a box”.

The preacher is also physically attacked by one man wearing a black duffel coat and mask, who shoves him in the back, causing him to stumble forward.

The officer continues to defend the preacher, explaining to the group: “In this country we have freedom of speech, the same way you guys have your freedom of speech.

“You guys don’t need to see eye-to-eye, and you don’t need to agree. You’re all more than welcome to stand here and have conversations with them, but they’re not being aggressive.”

She adds: “I understand that you guys don’t want to hear it, so I would recommend that you just move away and don’t listen to him.”

Canada is taking censorship lessons from the U.K.

Heritage Minister Marc Miller flew to Scotland in July, officially to attend the Commonwealth Games. According to an access to information memo obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter, however, he also scheduled confidential briefings on a U.K. Labour Party plan to promote what it calls “social cohesion.”

Ezra Levant broke it down on Thursday’s episode of The Ezra Levant Show.

The Labour document, titled Protecting What Matters, calls for “new tools and powers to disrupt organizations that spread extremism, hate, and threaten public safety.” It also proposes to combat what it labels “digital grifters,” “hostile states,” and “politicians of grievance” — a phrase that, Ezra noted, technically describes almost every opposition politician who has ever existed.

“Isn’t every politician sort of supposed to have grievances and then try to solve them?” he asked.

Miller denied discussing censorship during the trip, saying on social media he met with a Scottish cabinet secretary and first minister, discussed nothing of the sort, and that “the most controversial thing I did was drink an Irn-Bru.” Ezra was unconvinced, though.

“It wouldn’t be the first time in history that a politician lied,” he said, adding that the confidential memo listed the briefings on Miller’s official schedule. “I don’t trust Marc Miller when he says he didn’t have discussions about censorship when his own schedule said that’s what they would be talking about.”

Responding to a Canada Proud social media post about the story, Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke responded with one word: “Dystopian.”

Miller replied to Lutke directly, dismissing the story. Ezra noted that Lutke, of German descent, has particular reason to be alert to the language of state censorship — both the Nazi SS and East German Stasi were in that business.

The phrase “social cohesion” is not new in Miller’s vocabulary. In a parliamentary committee exchange obtained by Rebel News, Conservative MP Rachel Thomas asked Miller to define it after he said the CBC’s role was to foster social cohesion.

Miller replied that an age of “disinformation” required a strong state-funded broadcaster and suggested that questioning the CBC contributed to the spread of “falsities.” He also referred to “illegitimate sources” of information — without defining who decides what is legitimate. Thomas noted that the term is used by the People’s Republic of China to mean state control.

Ezra said he first encountered the phrase “social cohesion” in the United Kingdom — and that it has a very specific meaning there. A sitting UK Labour MP named Naz Shah from Bradford West once liked and retweeted a post arguing that the 1,400 young girls raped in Rotherham by gangs of predominantly Pakistani Muslim men should “shut their mouths for the good of social cohesion.”

“That’s what social cohesion means,” Ezra said. “It means shutting down anyone who has a grievance — including, in that case, the rape of 1,400 girls.”

Ezra also noted that he himself was banned from the U.K. earlier this year for being “not conducive to the public good” — which he described as another way of saying he was not part of their social cohesion.

Justin Trudeau introduced four separate censorship bills during his tenure — more than on any other subject. The pattern, Ezra said, is not subtle. The U.K., he said, offers Canadians a view into the future “like a dystopian time machine.”

Insanity! Oregon State Requires Two Woke Courses Examining ‘Systems of Oppression’

In the latest college madness Campus Reform is reporting “Oregon State University requires undergraduate students who enrolled in summer 2025 or later to complete two “Difference, Power & Oppression” (DPO) courses as part of its Core Education curriculum.”

In other words, as far as Oregon State is concerned, they remain a woke outpost of political correctness.

This insane course is focused on WOKE indoctrination.

“In addition to “difference, power, and oppression,” participants in the DPO Academy learn about “feminist and critical pedagogies” and “fundamentals of curriculum transformation.”

Its yet to be explained how oppression and feminist studies help advance a student’s education and prepare them for the workforce.

The reason they give for requiring these courses is even more outrageous.

“The inequitable distribution of social, economic, and political power in the United States and globally is sustained through systems of oppression, which represent a variety of discriminatory institutional beliefs and practices,” the description states. “These beliefs and practices obscure the origins and operations of systemic oppression in daily life, such that this inequitable power distribution is assumed to be the natural order.”

Trump State Department Axes Biden-Era Initiative That Sought to Spread DEI Around the World

Trump administration reforms have ended efforts to turn the State Department into a DEI sales force.

Biden-era guidelines that ordered diplomats to push a diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility policies agenda on foreign governments have been scrapped, according to Fox News.

“Under the Trump Administration, America’s diplomats are tasked with advocating for our national interests on the world stage — not demonstrating adherence to woke political dogmas,” State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said.

“The State Department is implementing sweeping reforms to the Foreign Service to prioritize merit, refocus training on tangible diplomatic skills, and prepare our nation’s diplomats to deliver America’s answer to our most pressing challenges,” he said.

Biden administration rules spoke of having State Department leaders “raise social inclusion, racial/gender equity, disability, and LGBTQI+ issues with high-level host country interlocutors, especially in countries where these issues are problematic.”

Warren Smith, a high school teacher and YouTuber renowned for his channel dedicated to critical thinking, recently spoke to a woke reporter who argued that “you can’t be racist against White people.”

Smith shared the encounter that left the reporter frazzled while she delivered an endless word salad before she ultimately bailed on the debate.

Reporter: I’m just gonna say this, and you can debate it. You can’t be racist against White people. You can be prejudiced against white people. Racism implies a power imbalance.

Smith: Where’d you learn that?

Reporter: That’s just how it is.

Smith: There’s no way to arrive to that. You just say, “It’s just how it is.” That is.

Reporter: I’m sorry.

Smith: So would people say, “Well, black people have to use separate water fountains because that’s just how it is. I’m sorry.”

Reporter: If that’s how you want to take it, that’s how you want to take it.

Smith: You don’t think you can advance any more on that?

Reporter: I really don’t want to.

Smith breaks from the interview to add, “I wanted to get this out quickly because this is one of the most important interactions I’ve ever caught on camera. I was at a student summit speaking to students. A reporter sat down who was covering the event.

Smith: When people are talking about DEI, they’re specifically talking about trying to achieve specific outcomes.

Reporter: Yes.

Smith: So you said, I don’t think it logically works.

Reporter: Okay.

Smith cut back in, “I tried to point out to her that DEI inevitably is racist. Logically. There’s no way around it.”

Smith: Because I think it’s the only example of systemic racism anyone’s been able to provide to me.

Reporter: It’s not systemic racism against you.

Smith: How?

Reporter: Everyone deserves a chance to speak and a chance to kind of be out there. We are only as good as representing everyone in our nation. It’s not just White men. It’s not just rich people. We need every single voice there.

Smith: So it’d be equal opportunity, right?

Reporter: Yes.

Smith: Okay, but equity is equal outcome.

Reporter: Yes.

Smith: So it’s a different word. That’s why we have a different—

Reporter: Yes, but we should be focusing on— we should be fighting for equality and equity. Okay, it’s both sides of the coin.

Smith: But if equity is— am I misunderstanding equity?

Reporter: I don’t think you are. I think equity is leveling the playing field so then everyone can reach an equal opportunity.

Smith: Okay, so let’s run through an example. Like, how do we level the playing field? Um, I’m a firefighter, volunteer firefighter, so let’s use as an example. If there’s not enough of a specific skin color in the fire department, how do we fix that without being racist?

Reporter: It’s also just reaching out to demographics who don’t—

Smith: That’s advertising.

Reporter: It’s advertising, yes, it’s making sure those people that feel comfortable joining a group like firefighters.

Smith: So we’ll put— we have, because mentally we have this column of advertising, we’re trying to put that aside and understand equity though, because you’re advocating for DEI, right?

Reporter: Yes.

Smith: Okay, so, so can you get into the DEI portion of it beyond advertising?

Reporter: Just that like everyone is equal of a— I don’t really understand what you’re asking.

The debate went back and forth with the reporter clearly not actually understanding the DEI concepts she advocates for.

Later in the interview, Smith pushed her on the specifics of DEI.

Smith: So, do you think DEI, now we look at it through this lens, do you think pushing for equal outcomes might be a flawed process?

Reporter: I still don’t think so.

Smith cut in, “Equity means equality of outcome. No one can explain to me how you’re going to achieve that without being, by definition, racist. The only response she can offer is to change the very definition of racism.”

UK Police Literally Have An ‘Elite Squad’ To Flag Spicy Social Media Posts…

An elite police unit set up by the Labour government has already flagged more than 100 social media posts to local forces, monitoring online “protest related activity” in a move critics brand a sinister step toward state control of speech.

The National Internet Intelligence Investigations team, created in the wake of the 2024 Southport riots, began operations in February. Freedom of Information figures obtained by the Telegraph and reported today show it has made 106 referrals of “suspicious” posts to forces across the country.

In June alone, 50 of those referrals came as public anger boiled over in Southampton after police bodycam footage exposed officers handcuffing dying teenage murder victim Henry Nowak while accepting a false complaint of ‘racism’ from his Sikh killer.

When the unit was first announced, then policing minister Dame Diana Johnson described it as “a dedicated function at a national level for exploiting internet intelligence to help local forces manage public safety threats and risks.”

The National Police Coordination Centre claims the squad “supports policing’s understanding of protest-related activity in the online environment by developing a broader picture of emerging, potential risks.”

Its remit, officials say, focuses on “providing strategic insight and improving awareness of protest-related developments that may have relevance to policing.”

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage commented “This is the beginning of the state controlling free speech. It is sinister, dangerous and must be fought.”

Police have refused to disclose which posts were flagged, citing exemptions around crime prevention. The pattern is clear enough. The unit was born from the Southport disorder that followed the murders of three girls by Axel Rudakubana.

Country’s biggest teachers’ unions efforts to get DEI into AI for schools K-12 sparks backlash

he country’s two biggest teachers unions are working to get diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) ideology into artificial intelligence models before they are used in grades K-12, sparking backlash from at least one education and parental rights advocacy group.

The unions, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers, essentially say they are making such efforts, including becoming involved in the process at state-level education departments, to mitigate AI models’ “algorithmic bias.”

The term is essentially defined as AI-generated results that are incorrect, unfair or prejudiced as a result, in part, of the prejudices, whether blind or intentional, of the model creators, typically white or Asian men.

Such efforts were flagged in a recent report by Defending Education, a national conservative and right-of-center grassroots advocacy organization.

“Within the next few years, most K-12 schools and colleges will integrate AI into their curricula … helping students with research assignments and even creating specialized feedback for each student,” says the group before warning, “The problem is that unions, left-wing activists, and groups in the education field are already setting the foundation to use these AI tools to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to students during their formative years.”

While the group singles out the country’s two most powerful teachers’ unions, it cites similars efforts by such groups, associations and organizations as:

The California Teachers Association assisting the California Department of Education in creating guidance for K-12 schools with language advocating for “educators to approach AI with an equity lens.”
The American Association of School Administrators promoting the idea that “white males” are a problem in the creation of AI.

“The goal of these groups is to implement DEI ideology into AI before it can be fully integrated into America’s education system,” Defending Education continued. “If DEI is embedded in AI before schools adopt these new tools, then DEI, as part of AI, becomes institutionalized in the nation’s schools once the tools are adopted.”

Neither the AFT nor NEA responded to a request for comment.

Say, Didja Happen to Notice the Total Implosion of the Academic World and DEI Industry?

Jason Arday is no longer a professor at Britain’s prestigious Cambridge University, but that august institution is going to need some time to recover from the damage he has done. Indeed, the entire academic world, and the DEI industry as well, are reeling from Arday’s sudden and shocking unmasking and downfall. They had so very much invested in him as a living symbol of the success of their analysis, and of the correctness of their worldview, that now they are due for some serious soul-searching and reevaluation of their entire approach.

Will they engage in that thorough and honest self-examination that they so desperately need? Nah. They’ll just double down. In fact, they’re already doing so.

Up until his resignation under fire on Thursday, Jason Arday was a professor of Sociology of Education at Cambridge, becoming the youngest black professor in the university’s history. He resigned after evidence of his massive plagiarism and otherwise embarrassingly skimpy academic record circulated so widely as to be impossible to ignore, but this is much, much more than just a plagiarism scandal.

The question of how and why Jason Arday was hired at Cambridge, and at several other universities before that, raises so many important questions about the academic establishment that in a sane world, the credibility of that establishment would be destroyed forever. Alas, we do not live in a sane world.

That’s clear from the fact that Jason Arday is a completely ridiculous figure, as he himself indirectly acknowledged when he asked: “Wouldn’t it be the most ridiculous story ever told, if the boy who couldn’t read and write at 18 gets a PhD before he’s 30?” Well, yes, it would, and yet Jason Arday told it, and academics eagerly believed him.

Not only did Arday claim that he couldn’t read and write until he was 18. He also claimed that he couldn’t even speak at all until he was eleven years old. But once he got speaking, reading, and writing squared away, he took off with a bang, by his own account, running 30 marathons in 35 days and raising nearly 7.5 million dollars for various charities. He also says that he completed the last nine of those 30 marathons despite suffering from a fractured leg that had swollen “to twice its normal size.”

He also said that he had played professional soccer and snooker (a variation of billiards), that a man with a knife had threatened him at Cambridge, and that other racist yahoos sent his parents a pig’s head. There is, of course, no evidence of any of this.

And there is more still. He says that he had a brain tumor that caused him to lose his memory, and that he had to relearn everything. He had another brain tumor as well, and testicular cancer, and was in a coma. A gang of toughs beat him up, but he forgave them and argued against their prosecution, and ended up teaching and mentoring them.

Reading Jason Arday’s account of his own life is like reading a Superman comic book. He does everything and does it well. He overcomes adversity that would have destroyed a lesser man, no, five lesser men. He routinely performs feats and racks up achievements that most people don’t come close to attaining in a lifetime.

Jason Arday is, in short, a liar and a fantasist on a seismic scale. And whatever may have been his motivation for telling all these lies, and for committing plagiarism and all the rest, the larger question is why anyone believed him. His accumulated achievements are palpably unbelievable. If a white Christian in a traditional academic field had told all these lies in applying to Cambridge, he would have been thrown out on his ear.

Jason Arday, however, was young, black, and well-versed in the language of racial victimization. He reaffirmed the way the Cambridge dons and their peers wanted to see the world, and served as a living example of the correctness of their racial obsessions and commitment to DEI initiatives. He made them feel as if they were right, and for that, they were willing to overlook everything and give him the world.

The Four Way Squeeze

The days might still be long, but this is a dark season in our country’s politics. Everybody’s nervous and many are furious, and yet all that emotion goes nowhere, just eats you up while you watch and wait for signs that help is on the way. What would that help even look like? Maybe a concerted effort to bum-rush a whole lot of bad ideas out of American life and replace them with better ideas that are worth building a life around.

Of the two political parties that used to vie between the interests of property and of labor, there is almost nothing left — nothing coherent, anyway. Mr. Trump & Co. still stand outside a feckless Republican establishment that can only say “no.” That is bad enough, when it comes to vital matters like election reform and sound fiscal policy. But the President is methodically wearing them down with tactical work-arounds such as this week’s use of State Department visa control to prevent foreign visitors coming here just to drop birthright citizens.

Things will get super-serious when the president has to manage the government’s functional bankruptcy, the bond market crack-up under our impossible debt-burden, and all its knock-ons. It’s coming for sure, and will require a stringent reorganization of American finance, probably even of our money itself. That will be a moment when the nation understands what leadership really means, not just endless deception and fakery.

Speaking of which, you have the other party, the Democrats. The Dems, unmoored from the interests of labor (whatever is left of it), are now strictly just the party of bad ideas and crime. The party is also, at this juncture of history, caught in a gruesome four-way squeeze that could easily drag it into extinction. Let’s count them.

First, is the basic basket of ideas that comprise the party’s platform, readily identifiable for some years now as the “Woke” catalog. Virtually all of them are ideas that a majority of the public rejects as insane. A wide-open border. We tried that for four years under the fake president “Joe Biden.” Didn’t work out so well. Added many millions to the free everything dole that actual citizens resentfully have to pay for. Took jobs away from said citizens. Got a lot of (mostly) women murdered and raped. Let in Gawd knows how many foreign terrorists.

“Woke” also includes the DEI products of manufactured race animus and gender confusion, especially as applied in school from K all the way to PhD. Apart from the sheer hatred and idiocy these things generated, they also led to the scrapping of merit and excellence as organizing principles for civilization. Americans increasingly reject all of that.

The second squeeze point is the Democratic Party’s criminal portfolio. The Covid-19 operation was basically theirs. It killed and injured millions, wrecked the integrity of medicine, and brought on the deliberate perversion of our election procedure. It gave us fake President “Biden” and the autopen gang that ran him. Along the way, the party weaponized the law and produced one hoax after another: RussiaGate, Impeachment, J-6, the 2024 Trump trials — treason, sedition, deprivation of rights under color of law, obstruction of justice and much more. These crimes are a huge burden for the party and they are in the process of being adjudicated, and a lot of the party’s heroes will end up in prison.
