An Antifa-Linked Portland Bail Fund Freed This Somali — Five Days Later, He Killed a Mother of Three

A judge on Dec. 30 handed down a life sentence to a Somali-American man who brutally murdered a woman who had a protective order against him after an Antifa-linked bail fund paid for his release.

Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Jenna Plank sentenced Mohamed Osman Adan, 36, to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years for the 2022 strangulation and stabbing murder of Racheal Angel Abraham. She was the mother of three children, including two who Adan fathered. The murder occurred when the children were in her home.

The Portland Freedom Fund, infamous for bailing out violent BLM-Antifa rioters in 2020, posted bail for Adan shortly before the fatal attack. The group advocates for the abolishment of law enforcement and prisons.

Adan pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and also to several other felony counts, including felony strangulation constituting domestic violence, contempt of court, felon in possession of a firearm, driving under the influence and attempting to elude police.

Despite being repeatedly arrested on domestic violence accusations, Adan was granted bail and released from custody days before the 2022 murder. After Judge Jerry Hodson set bail at $20,000, the Portland Freedom Fund covered Adan’s bond.

Five days after his release, Adan cut off his GPS monitor on Aug. 27, 2022 and returned to Abraham’s apartment, where he stabbed and strangled her to death.

Woke Oregon city hires MURDERER who executed teenage girl to its police review board

A convicted murderer who gunned down a 19-year-old girl has sparked community outrage after being voted back onto the city’s police review board. 

Kyle Hedquist, 47, was jailed for life without parole for murdering Nikki Thrasher in 1994. 

The Oregon native led Thrasher down a remote road and shot her in the back of the head to prevent her from telling people about a burglary spree he had embarked on. 

Hedquist was released in 2022, with former governor Kate Brown arguing that he was 17 at the time of the crime, which means ‘he shouldn’t be locked up for life.’

Now, the Salem City Council has reappointed Hedquist in a five-to-four vote on December 8, despite his 27-year sentence for the execution-style killing.

The Board reviews police conduct complaints and makes policy recommendations to the enforcement.

The 47-year-old was also appointed to the Citizens Advisory Traffic Commission and the Civil Service Commission, an advisory board that oversees traffic and fair employment issues, according to KATU2.

Board members also train with police and participate in ride-alongs to understand how officers operate. 

Backlash has erupted in the blue-state city, with rising concerns voiced by the Salem Police Employee’s Union and other council members. 

‘To think that we’re providing education on kind of how we do what we do to someone with that criminal history, it just doesn’t seem too smart,’ the association’s president Scotty Nowning told KATU2.

Nowning emphasized that the concerns stem from fixing the city’s oversight structure and are not necessarily about Hedquist. 

‘If you move him off there, if you don’t change your guardrails or what the requirements are to be on there, you could just put someone else on there with you know equal criminal history or worse,’ he told the outlet.

Salem Professional Fire Fighters Local 314 even created a website to slam the decision. 

‘As police and fire professionals in the Salem community, we are asking Salem residents to stand with us,’ the site read in part.

‘Tell [the council] to reconsider this decision and fix the mess that they created.’

Other committee members opposed Hedquist’s reappointment, but Councilor Mai Vang approved it.

The case, which once again exposes Oregon’s deep political wounds, erupts after years of tensions between City Hall, the Police Department, and groups like Antifa, whose violent track record has been documented on multiple occasions by outlets such as Gateway Hispanic and national publications.

According to Ngo himself, his 2021 arrest —an episode widely publicized but never fully clarified— occurred in a context of institutional hostility toward voices critical of the local left, an environment that intensified during the protests that kept the city paralyzed between 2020 and 2022.

The judicial notice, according to sources consulted, is based on allegations of violations of the First and Fourth Amendments, arguing that the police action lacked probable cause and was motivated by ideology.

The municipal administration avoided making an immediate statement and referred to a press release expected in the coming hours, while progressive organizations limited themselves to questioning the credibility of the plaintiff without providing additional data.

Portland jury clears black man of assault because white man he stabbed had said the n-word

A black man was acquitted of stabbing a white man in Oregon after he claimed the attack was self-defense because the victim called him a racial slur. 

Gary Edwards, 43, was charged with second-degree assault for stabbing a man in Portland near a light rail stop on July 8, KPTV reported.

However, he was found not guilty of the crime on October 31 after the jury learned the victim was using racial slurs in the aftermath of the altercation.

Edwards, who is homeless and has a previous assault conviction, admitted to knifing the victim, Gregory Howard Jr., but claimed it was in self-defense because the other man called him the n-word, according to Oregon Live.

Security cameras, with no audio, captured Edwards, with a fixed-blade knife in hand, approaching Howard as he sat on a beach.

Howard immediately jumped up and pushed Edwards, then the two scuffled until Edwards stabbed Howard in the shoulder.

Edwards defense attorney Daniel Small reportedly told the jury that his client was approaching Howard to see if he would trade his knife for cigarettes. 

‘What other than racism could explain why Mr. Howard perceived hatred, animosity and aggression from a complete stranger,’ Small said.

Moments later, body camera footage from security officers captured Howard shouting a racist slur at Edwards after he had been stabbed.

It is unclear if there is any evidence to suggest that Howard used the slur before he was stabbed.

Prosecutor Katherine Williams told the jury it did not matter what the victim said after he was stabbed.

‘The defendant is not scared for his life. He didn’t retreat, he sauntered up – and he sauntered away after he stabbed someone. The defendant created the situation,’ Williams said.

Despite the prosecutors pleas, the jury found Edwards not guilty.

Edwards lawyer insisted the case never should have gone to trial.

‘I laid my cards out on the table and told the state how the trial would go, but it didn’t matter,’ he told Oregon Live.

Edwards, who is homeless, spent about three months in custody before the trail after prosecutors argued he was a threat to the public due to his lengthy criminal record, according to the outlet.

ANOTHER ONE! Criminal Indian Illegal Alien Semi-Truck Driver Who Obtained CDL in California Kills Two People After Jackknifing Trailer in Oregon

A criminal illegal alien semi-truck driver who obtained a CDL in California, killed two people in Bend, Oregon, last week after jackknifing the trailer.

Per the DHS: On November 24, 2025, Rajinder Kumar, a criminal illegal alien from India, jackknifed his semi-truck and trailer blocking both lanes of U.S. Highway 20. A Subaru Outback collided with the semi-truck, tragically killing both the driver, William Micah Carter, and passenger, Jennifer Lynn Lower.

The DHS said Rajinder Kumar was released into the interior of the US by the Biden Administration. He obtained a CDL by California Governor Gavin Newsom’s DMV.

“Rajinder Kumar, a criminal illegal alien from India, was released into our country under the Biden administration and issued a commercial driver’s license by Gavin Newsom’s Department of Motor Vehicles. How many more senseless tragedies must take place before sanctuary politicians stop allowing illegal aliens to dangerously operate semi-trucks on America’s roads?” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. 

“Our prayers are with William and Jennifer’s families. Under Secretary Noem, ICE will continue its efforts to get illegal alien truck drivers off America’s highways,” McLaughlin said.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an arrest detainer for a criminal illegal alien charged with criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangering after he killed two people in Deschutes County, Oregon while driving a semi-truck.

Kumar entered the U.S. illegally near Lukeville, Arizona on November 28, 2022, and was released into the country by the Biden administration. The illegal alien was issued a commercial driver’s license from Gavin Newsom’s California and given a work authorization in 2023 by the Biden administration.

Kumar is currently housed at the Deschutes County jail pending charges for criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangering.  Since Oregon is a sanctuary state, ICE will make all necessary efforts to bring Kumar into custody should he be released from custody.

In October, an illegal alien semi-truck driver from India killed three people in Southern California in a fiery crash.

Dem Governor Vows To Arrest Federal Agents, Setting Up Constitutional Crisis: ‘They Will Be Held Accountable

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek and state Attorney General Dan Rayfield have vowed that they will start arresting federal agents for conducting lawful deportation operations in the state, as well as responding to sustained unrest in the state’s most populous city of Portland.

In a video statement posted to Instagram, Kotek accused the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) of carrying out “violent actions” and “stoking fear in the name of immigration enforcement.”

“I believe, as you do, in the rule of law and keeping our communities safe. We also believe in being a welcoming place where our immigrant and refugee communities help our state thrive. The ongoing violent actions of the Federal Department of Homeland Security are unacceptable, going after Oregonians and stoking fear in the name of immigration enforcement.”

She went on to suggest that the state will be pursing criminal charges against federal agents.

“No government agency is above the law. I fully support the AG and local DAs who have put the federal government on notice. Oregon is monitoring all ICE actions closely. We will investigate misconduct, and if a federal officer breaks Oregon law, they will be held accountable, just like anyone else,” the governor continued. “I will not tolerate reckless or unconstitutional behavior in our state. While ICE activity has seen an uptick in recent weeks, so has the commitment of Oregonians to show up for each other, taking care of their neighbors, and standing up when they see something that isn’t right.”

Kotek’s comments come after Rayfield, along with Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas County District Attorneys Nathan Vasquez, Kevin Barton, and John Wentworth, issued a joint letter on November 25, 2025, to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. The letter serves as “formal notice” of monitoring and potential state-level prosecutions for actions described as “excessive force during arrests” or “protest policing.”

In the letter, Rayfield claims that several Oregon residents have filed complaints about “excessive force.” It demands an immediate halt to “unlawful and reckless actions,” improved training, coordination with local law enforcement, investigation of complaints, and full cooperation with state probes.

“The Oregon Department of Justice and the three District Attorneys’ Offices are actively monitoring federal conduct and will investigate any case where a federal officer appears to be acting outside the reasonable scope of their duties.”

Democrat Oregon Governor Posts Video Vowing to Prosecute Federal Agents Enforcing Immigration Laws – Echoing State AG’s Radical Threats

Democrat Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has publicly threatened to investigate and prosecute federal agents who enforce U.S. immigration laws, claiming such actions could violate state statutes.

This comes just days after the state’s Democrat Attorney General issued similar warnings, signaling a coordinated effort by Oregon liberals to obstruct national border enforcement under the Trump administration.

A 45-year-old far-left extremist has been charged with making violent threats against federal law enforcement officers, including promises to kill them, sexually assault their wives, and hurt their children.

John Paul Cupp, who also uses the aliases “Walid” and “Abu Nusaybah al-Amriki” following his conversion to Islam, was arrested after a series of repeated threats against agents and their loved ones.

On October 14, Cupp allegedly yelled threats directly at law enforcement personnel outside the Portland ICE building.

The leftist militant followed up with similar online videos on November 3 and November 13, repeating his intentions to target federal agents and their families.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon, “Cupp is a prolific producer of online content and regularly posts aggressive rhetoric, calls for war against the United States, antisemitic threats, and threats of violence.”

More Blood on the Hands of Sanctuary States: Oregon Issued Driver’s License to Honduran Illegal Alien Who Killed 8-Year-Old Idaho Girl in Horrific Hit-and-Run

An 8-year-old girl was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Boise, Idaho, by an illegal immigrant from Honduras who had been allowed to remain in the country for nearly a decade despite a deportation order.

Ramos-Caballero, 39, was able to obtain a driver’s license from the neighboring sanctuary state of Oregon, which allowed him to “legally” operate the vehicle that killed the young girl, Mora Gerety.

The incident occurred on November 11, just before 4:45 p.m., at the intersection of North Harrison Boulevard and West Ada Street.

Gerety, a student at Washington Elementary School, was crossing the street when the pickup truck driven by Ramos-Caballero hit her.

The illegal alien fled the scene, not rendering any aid to the child.

Gerety was rushed to St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, where she succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries despite lifesaving efforts.

Ramos-Caballero was arrested the same day and charged with hit-and-run resulting in death. He was subsequently taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

According to a press release from the Department of Homeland Security, “This illegal alien was given a license by the sanctuary state of Oregon. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Ramos-Caballero on November 11, 2025. Ramos-Caballero illegally entered the U.S. in September 2015 and was released into the country by the Obama administration. He never showed up for his immigration hearing and was ordered removed in absentia on May 9, 2016.”

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blasted the situation in a statement.

‘Free to express opinions’: Oregon district pays $650,000 to settle with educators who objected to trans lessons

Schools ‘can’t retaliate against speech simply because they disagree with what’s said.’

An Oregon school district has agreed to pay $650,000 to settle with two educators who were punished, then fired, for speaking out against the injurious transgender agenda the district was adopting.

The trans ideology as promoted by Joe Biden and his administration for years includes giving chemicals to children to delay puberty, then doing mutilating body surgeries on the child.

Grants Pass, Ore., educators Katie Medart and Rachel Sager had launched a grassroots movement called “I Resolve” to speak out on a school gender identity education policy, and to offer alternatives that would allow teachers to continue teaching without submitting their religious beliefs to the social agenda.

And one that would respect the rights of parents to know what their children were being given in school.

They posted a video on their own website promoting their beliefs and efforts.

Subsequently, Grants Pass School District 7 officials suspended them, then fired them.

“Educators are free to express opinions on fundamental issues of public concern—like gender identity education policy—that implicate the freedoms of teachers, parents, and students,” said Mathew Hoffman, of the ADF, which represented the teachers along with the Pacific Justice Institute.

“The Grants Pass School District is taking the right step by acknowledging that teachers don’t give up their First Amendment rights when they set foot on school property. Public schools can’t retaliate against speech simply because they disagree with what’s said.”

Sager and Medart have worked in the education field for many years, including at North Middle School in Grants Pass. Sager served as assistant principal, and Medart taught science there, the legal teams explained.

Their legal action charging the school violated their free speech, religious freedom and equal protection rights was settled with the district agreeing to pay $650,000 in damages and attorneys’ fees.
