Zohran Mamdani Wants to Spend $65 Million on ‘Gender Affirming Care’ – Including for Minors

Zohran Mamdani, the Muslim communist that just won the Democratic nomination for mayor of New York City, wants to spend $65 million on ‘gender affirming care’ including for minors. In case you’re not aware, gender affirming care is a term that means butchering the otherwise healthy body parts of a person in order to ‘transition.’

This was one of the issues that came up repeatedly in the 2024 election and the American people made their opinion quite clear. Most people are against this. It’s one of the 80/20 issues that have come up repeatedly in recent months.

Mamdani is choosing the 20 percent side of this issue, which should surprise absolutely no one.

About $57 million would be allotted for public hospitals, community clinics, federally qualified health centers and nonprofits with another $8 million for more expanded services, the website states.

The surging Democratic socialist contender first unveiled his plan to “deliver care, opportunity, and protection for LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers” last month following a Trans Community Town Hall with advocates…

Mamdani defended the spending plan as necessary, citing how private Big Apple hospitals had stopped providing gender-affirming care for minors under threats from the Trump administration earlier this year.

“LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers are under attack by the Trump administration and Zohran is going to stand up for them as Mayor,” a campaign spokesperson said in a statement to The Post on Monday.

From now on, criticism of Mamdani automatically makes you an Islamophobe.

Where have we seen this strategy used before? Oh yeah! During the eight years of the Obama presidency. As you may recall, all criticism of Obama made you automatically racist.

MAGA influencers exploded over Zohran Mamdani’s upset victory in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary, launching a wave of racist and Islamophobic attacks against the 33-year-old democratic socialist.

Why it matters: Mamdani who would be New York’s first Muslim mayor if elected, is of Indian ancestry, was born in Uganda and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2018. He’s quickly becoming a MAGA boogeyman as much for his faith and background as for his left-wing politics.

– Police were already investigating hate-related threats against Mamdani in the days leading up to Tuesday’s election, where he was on track to defeat former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

– Mamdani, whose has drawn criticism for his pro-Palestinian activism, has repeatedly condemned antisemitism and pledged to be a mayor for all New Yorkers.

What they’re saying: “It’s sad in that in one sense it’s unsurprising, and in another, it is still deeply disappointing to see what politics has become in this moment,” Mamdani told MSNBC’s Jen Psaki in an interview Wednesday.

It’s all so predictable.

There Is No Such Thing As A Free Grocery Store

Zohran Mamdani, winner of the Democratic Party’s New York City mayoral primary, is overflowing with Marxist ideas of how to govern that are so lousy that it’s hard to believe he got more than his own vote in Tuesday’s election. Each of them is horrendous, from free bus services to rent control to punitive taxes on those who create prosperity, but none are quite so laughable as his proposal to establish a chain of city-run grocery stores.

Mamdani’s campaign literature – overflowing with empty leftist jargon – says if elected he “will create a network of city-owned grocery stores focused on keeping prices low, not making a profit.” The mission “is lower prices, not price gouging.” 

In an interview, the socialist Mamdani said he wants “a pilot program of one store in each borough that builds on the feasibility study that was done in Chicago,” which, incidentally, was never released and has been put on a dusty shelf where it will grow moldy.

Apparently not even that city’s Marxist mayor believed he could make the idea work.

It’s nearly impossible to imagine any adult would propose opening government-owned grocery stores. The concept might make for spirited debate in a junior high social studies class. In the real world, though, there are consequences.

“If the city of New York is going socialist, I will definitely close, or sell, or move or franchise the Gristedes locations,” says John Catsimatidis, the CEO of the Gristedes chain, which “has been feeding New Yorkers for over 100 years.”

This should alarm Mamdani. It won’t. He’ll be glad to get rid of a dirty profit-monger who doesn’t belong in his socialist utopia.

Far from New York is Erie, Kansas, which became known as the “small town that saved its only grocery store — by buying it.” The city took over Stub’s Market in early 2021 after learning that it was to close.

But it didn’t go well. The Wall Street Journal reported in October 2023 that it was “losing money almost every month.” City Clerk Jamie Janssen told the Journal that the goal was “to narrow losses to under $100,000 this year.” Losses had reached $132,000 the year before, even though volunteers stock the goods, some of which are donated by local businesses.

Last year, after learning that “owning the store is difficult and costly for the city,” Erie sold the market. If a city of not even 1,000 residents can’t keep a small government-owned store from losing $100,000 a year, what will the losses add up to in New York City?

Andrew Cuomo CONCEDES New York City Democrat Mayoral Primary Race – Communist Zohran Mamdani Wins!

In the race for the Democrat nomination to be mayor of New York City, Andrew Cuomo has now conceded to far left socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani, who is now poised to win the contest.

It’s amazing that Cuomo would give this up so easily without a fight.

In an upset, Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani will be the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City, defeating candidates including Andrew Cuomo, who was seeking a political comeback nearly four years after he resigned as governor of New York amid sexual misconduct allegations.

Cuomo conceded the race Tuesday night, before the final results of ranked-choice voting were clear.

Mamdani, a 33-year-old self-described Democratic socialist, ran a campaign centered on making New York City more affordable. He proposed free universal child care, creating city-run grocery stores, rolling out free bus service and freezing rents on rent-stabilized units.

Campaign aide to socialist contender to become mayor of New York sympathized with Luigi Mangione in warped tribute

A campaign aide to socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani showed sympathy for alleged United Healthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione in posts online, the Daily Mail has learned.

Mamdani’s political director, Julian Gerson, posted on December 29th of 2024 on Facebook that he was ‘looking forward to driving down Mangione Avenue a few decades from now.’

In social media posts obtained by the Daily Mail, Gerson made the remark replying to a comment after he shared a personal essay on the impact Mangione was having on public discourse in the weeks after he allegedly murdered United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City.

In his essay, Gerson concluded that Manginone ‘is adored not only because he dared to target a leader of one of the most vile, self-enriching industries darkening our society today, but because he dared to defy the stasis of nihilistic rejection.’

‘The question is not whether he was right or wrong. It’s how many others he has shaken loose,’ Gerson concluded.

Per Gerson’s LinkedIn page, which bears the same profile photograph as his Facebook profile, he has worked for Mamdani’s mayoral campaign since March.

Mamdani’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment from the Daily Mail about Gerson’s post.

Mangione became a global phenomena due to the fascination around his privileged background and Hollywood good looks. For many on the left, he morphed into a vessel for radical rebellion against a system of economic injustice. 

Mangione remains in custody and federal prosecutors have chosen to seek the death penalty if he’s convicted.

Send Me Money! — “Above the Law” Letitia James Fundraises Off Mortgage Fraud Investigation

New York Attorney General Letitia James is using the growing number of legal and ethical allegations against her that resulted in a Department of Justice investigation as a tool to solicit donations from New Yorkers.

Her strategy appears to blend defiance, victimhood, and partisan rhetoric in a calculated appeal for money, as she attempts to transform serious allegations of fraud and misconduct into rallying cries for cash.

A recent Letitia James campaign fundraising appeal texted directly to thousands of New Yorkers illustrates this strategy clearly.

In it, James addresses her supporters with a combative tone, quoting Trump aide Stephen Miller’s recent statement calling her “one of the most corrupt, shameless individuals ever to hold public office.”

Rather than addressing or rebutting the substance of his criticisms, James frames them as politically motivated attacks, stating that “Trump is on a revenge tour against me for holding his administration accountable and stopping their MAGA agenda in court.”

She goes on to urge supporters: “If you’re with me, chip in now to help fight back against this smear campaign”.

Gov. Hochul Pledges $50 Million in Legal Aid for Migrants — Stefanik Slams “Illegals First, New Yorkers Last” Policy

In a move drawing sharp criticism from New Yorkers and political rivals alike, Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that the State of New York will allocate $50 million in taxpayer funds to cover legal fees for migrants. The funding, Hochul says, will be used to provide immigration legal services amid the ongoing influx of illegal border crossers resettled in New York.

The announcement comes on the heels of a controversial incident involving New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, who was briefly detained by ICE after interfering in an immigration enforcement operation. Bloomberg pours more cash into Cuomo super PAC, bringing his total contribution to $8.3M

Mike Bloomberg’s vast wealth is continuing to power Andrew Cuomo’s front-running mayoral bid.

The billionaire former mayor contributed $3.3 million to a super PAC supporting Cuomo’s attempted comeback in the nation’s largest city — a donation made public on Wednesday that comes just days after Bloomberg gave $5 million to the group.

With the latest gift, Bloomberg is now single-handedly responsible for one-third of the PAC’s total haul of $24 million since it launched in March, according to a POLITICO analysis. Other real estate and finance executives who make up New York’s monied elite, including billionaire Donald Trump supporter Bill Ackman, have poured cash into the group.

A spokesperson for the super PAC, which is called Fix the City, did not comment on Bloomberg’s latest contribution.

The money — and the flood of mailers and TV ads funded by it — indicate Cuomo supporters are nervous about the rise of his principal opponent, democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani. The state lawmaker has been running a strong second to the ex-governor in most polls; a Marist College survey on Wednesday found Cuomo would defeat Mamdani after seven rounds of ranked-choice voting, 55 percent to 45 percent. But early voting is high in some neighborhoods that would appear to benefit Mamdani, and temperatures are expected to hit 100 degrees next Tuesday, which could suppress turnout among older New Yorkers Cuomo is counting on.

Likely motivating Bloomberg, who had a rivalry with the former governor during their overlapping tenures, are Mamdani’s far-left politics and criticism of Israel. He wants to raise taxes on the rich to pay for services like free bus fare and as recently as this week, refused to criticize the phrase “globalize the Intifada,” calling it an expression of Palestinian rights.

The former mayor endorsed Cuomo last week, and called him the “one candidate whose management experience and government know-how stand above the others.” Cuomo is 67 and worked in and around government and politics his entire career; Mamdani is 33 and counters criticisms of his thin résumé with reminders of the scandals that drove Cuomo from office.

X Sues New York For Demanding Social Media Data To Censor Speech

Social media company X sued New York to challenge a state law that requires social media companies to submit semi-annual reports about how they are suppressing certain kinds of speech to the New York attorney general. According to the lawsuit, provisions in the “Stop Hiding Hate Act” violate social media companies’ First Amendment rights and threaten free speech.

The law, in part, outlines “terms of service reports” in which companies must disclose to the state whether the terms of service for each of their platforms define certain “categories,” including hate speech, racism, extremism, misinformation, harassment, and foreign political interference. If their terms of service do include these categories, the companies would also be required to include those definitions in the report. The reports would also require companies to disclose a “detailed description” of their “content moderation practices” regarding these categories. Failing to submit the report could engender $15,000 per day. Governor Kathy Hochul signed the law in December, and it is set to go into effect this year.

X challenged the constitutionality of the “Content Category Report” portions of the law, arguing that they force companies to disclose “highly sensitive and controversial speech” protected under the Constitution. X also noted that content moderation “engenders considerable debate among reasonable people about where to draw the correct proverbial line,” and that “[t]his is not a role the government may play.”

Musk, who has described himself as a “free speech absolutist,” bought Twitter in 2022 to return the platform to “a digital town square” where ideas could be debated freely. He loosened the platform’s content moderation rules and readmitted suspended users, including President Donald Trump.

New York State Sen. Brad Holyman-Sigal and Assemblywoman Grace Lee, both Democrats, sponsored the law. In a letter that X quoted in the lawsuit, the two politicians said that X and Musk have a “disturbing record,” which “threatens the foundations of our democracy.” In a Tuesday statement responding to the lawsuit, the two lawmakers called social media companies, including X, “cesspools of hate speech,” and claimed the “Stop Hiding Hate Act” is necessary for “transparency.”

Antifa Blog Posts Anonymous Confession Taking Credit for Arson Attack on Multiple NYPD Vehicles

An Antifa blog has posted an anonymous confession taking credit for an arson attack on multiple New York Police Department vehicles.

Eight NYPD vehicles parked near the 83rd precinct in Brooklyn were set on fire during the early morning of Thursday, June 12th.

A post to the anarchist blog “Never Sleep” titled “Solidarity with Los Angeles! Arson attack on multiple NYPD vehicles” was said to be written by the arsonist.

The post began, “Multiple NYPD cars were set on fire in the early, early morning of Thursday June 12th. The cars were just waiting there, practically begging for a new makeover! Tips on replicating this can be found on most counterinfo sites or just common knowledge; this was way easy. And so fun. Apologies to the community for the smell and the noise. And fuck you and haha to that pig—yeah, you know who you are.”

“There are many reasons for doing this, but for the sake of time it can be boiled down to four: 1) Solidarity with the uprising happening in Los Angeles where community and rebels are fighting Amerikkkan pig forces. From one cop city to another, death to the pigs and the surveillance state. 2) Revenge for the NYPD’s continuous physical and sexual harassment/assault of protestors, particularly femmes (incidents include removing of hijabs, forced nudity, degrading remarks, and more). 3) Something to show that repression breeds resistance and 4) Demonstrating that solidarity with the Palestinian resistance, immigrants, Black people doesn’t mean pointless demos where everyone gets arrested, endless marches to nowhere, and vapid chants. Solidarity means ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK!”

The post was signed, “Sincerely, the anarchists and the rats and the brats and the lawless.”
