Nevada is the latest of 18 states sued by US government for voter data

The lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division adds Nevada to a growing list of 18 states facing litigation over sensitive state voter data.

The suit comes after months of DOJ demands for complete state voting registration lists, which Nevada and other states have repeatedly denied and called intimidation in an effort to influence elections. President Donald Trump lost all 18 states in the 2020 election, with Nevada one of three states with Republican governors.

The Trump administration said in the filings that it would like to use the voting registrations to verify the states are following federal election law in an effort to strengthen voting security.

Article I, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution says states administer elections and determine their “Times, Places and Manner.”

Nevada, along with most other states, had already denied a request to provide the sensitive voter data. The initial request by the DOJ Civil Rights Division in August called for complete voter registration lists – including Social Security numbers and information about driver’s licenses. Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar said at the time that the state needed more time to look over the “unprecedented” request.

“Despite our simple requests for information on how they’re going to keep this data secure, they’ve given us no clear answers,” Aguilar wrote in response to the suit filing announced Friday. “It’s my duty to follow Nevada law and protect the best interests of Nevadans, which includes protecting their sensitive information and access to the ballot.”

The DOJ Civil Rights Division announced similar suits in Colorado, Hawaii and Massachusetts on Friday. They also sued for 2020 voting records from Fulton County, Georgia after an ongoing election interference case against Trump and allies in the state was dismissed last month.

“At this Department of Justice, we will not permit states to jeopardize the integrity and effectiveness of elections by refusing to abide by our federal elections laws,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who oversees the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division. “If states will not fulfill their duty to protect the integrity of the ballot, we will.”

Wyoming and Indiana provided complete voting registration lists with driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers. Ten other states responded to the DOJ Civil Rights Division with publicly available versions of the voter registration lists, with the sensitive information redacted.

Federal Judge DISQUALIFIES President Trump’s Acting US Attorney in Nevada, Rules Her Appointment is Invalid

A federal judge on Tuesday disqualified President Trump’s Acting US Attorney in Nevada, Sigal Chattah, and ruled her appointment is invalid.

Earlier this year President Trump appointed Sigal Chattah as the Interim US Attorney in Nevada. Shortly before her 120 day interim appointment expired, she resigned from the position and was reappointed as the Acting US Attorney for the District of Nevada.

Anti-Trump prosecutors immediately filed motions to disqualify Chattah, claiming this maneuver to leapfrog to an “Acting US Attorney” role was unlawful.

On Tuesday, US District Judge David G. Campbell, a George W. Bush appointee, said in a 32-page ruling that Chattah is “improperly serving” in her role as Acting US Attorney.

“Ms. Chattah is disqualified from supervising these cases or any attorneys in the handling of these cases,” Judge Campbell wrote.

Judge Campbell did not dismiss the indictments.

“Defendants’ motions are denied to the extent they seek dismissal of their indictments,” the judge wrote.

The judge reassigned Sigal Chattah’s cases to the District Judges in Nevada.

“These cases shall be reassigned to the District Judges in Nevada to whom they were originally assigned. The undersigned judge will remain available to handle similar motions filed in other Nevada cases, if warranted,” the judge wrote.

This is the second time a federal district court judge has disqualified one of President Trump’s Acting US Attorneys.

As previously reported, last month, US District Judge Mathew Brann, an Obama appointee, said Alina Habba is “not lawfully holding the Office of US Attorney” of New Jersey.

The Pennsylvania-based federal judge oversaw a challenge to Alina Habba’s authority because the judges in New Jersey had a conflict of interest after they ousted her from her position as interim US Attorney last month.

A group of federal judges over the summer declined to extend Alina Habba’s term as interim US Attorney of New Jersey after Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries launched a pressure campaign to oust her.

Habba resigned as Interim US Attorney and became Acting US Attorney for New Jersey after the Trump DOJ outmaneuvered the judges before her term expired.

President Trump recently said he will be filing a lawsuit to prevent Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) from blocking Alina Habba’s confirmation for US Attorney of New Jersey with the unconstitutional ‘blue slip’ custom.

On Wednesday night, a man opened fire outside the main gate of the Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that an unnamed suspect opened fire outside of the main gate of the Nellis Base and then proceeded to point his gun at security officers guarding the base.

The move by the suspect prompted the base security on duty to fire back at the suspect, which resulted in the suspect being shot in the leg.

Authorities did not release the name of the suspect but did reveal he was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Per The Daily Mail:

A gunman opened fire outside of an Air Force base in Nevada linked to Area 51, according to police.

The unknown suspect ‘fired rounds’ at the main gate of the site and was ‘behaving erratically’ around 12.30 am Wednesday in Las Vegas, a Nellis AFB spokesperson told the Daily Mail.

Security officers then ‘challenged the suspect who pointed his firearm at them,’ the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said.

The alleged gunman was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries after a tourniquet was applied.

Burning Man Murder Mystery: Victim Identified – Throat Slashed with Knife – Police Still Looking For Suspect

Burning Man 2025 was marred by monsoonal storms, windstorms and a grisly murder.

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in a pool of blood at Burning Man last Saturday night.

Tens of thousands of ‘Burners’ flocked to the Nevada desert this year to engage in debauchery.

Burning Man is a yearly drug-infested music and art festival in Northern Nevada, in Black Rock City. Attendees engage in sexually degenerate activities such as “whippings by a dominatrix priestess,” “circle jerks,” “c*ck fights” and orgies.

The man murdered at Burning Man this year was identified as a 37-year-old Russian man named Vadim Kruglov. His throat was slashed by a large blade. The suspect is still at large.

TMZ reported:

The dead guy found at this year’s Burning Man had a large wound to his throat … the slash was from a knife, and the blade was recovered at the scene.

Our sources tell us the knife is being forensically examined … and law enforcement is also going through a phone that was found near the body.

We’re told Vadim Kruglov’s dead body was found inside a tent pavilion structure near a makeshift bar Saturday night … lying in a pool of blood.

Because the death was ruled a homicide, our sources say police got a warrant before entering the tent pavilion … there was a chance the area could be deemed a dwelling, and cops felt it prudent to err on the side of caution, at least from a legal standpoint.

Last week a wicked dust storm kicked up on the first day of the festival this year and it ruined camp sites. Winds reached more than 45 miles per hour, according to a spokesperson for Burning Man.

Nevada Lawmakers Pass Resolution Urging Congress To Reschedule Psychedelics And Expedite Research On Their Medical Benefits

The Nevada legislature has approved a joint resolution calling on Congress to reschedule certain psychedelics, streamline research and provide protections for people using the substances in compliance with state law.

After initially moving through the Senate and then the House with amendments, the Senate concurred to the other body’s changes and gave final approval to the proposal last Thursday.

SJR 10, from Sen. Rochelle Nguyen (D), has now been formally enacted and will be transmitted to President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R) and all of the members of Nevada’s congressional delegation, as well as the heads of the Drug Enforcement Administration and National Institutes of Health.

The resolution cites research demonstrating the therapeutic potential of psychedelics in the treatment of serious mental health conditions and calls on the federal government to “reschedule psilocybin, psilocin, DMT, ibogaine, mescaline and MDMA to a schedule that better reflects the therapeutic value, low potential for abuse and safety for use under medical supervision of those compounds.”

It also points out that there have been federal developments on the issue, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) designation of certain psychedelics as “breakthrough therapies” and research that’s being funded to explore the substances at the Department of Defense (DOD) and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The measure urges Congress to increase funding for further research, establish a “streamlined process for approving and conducting research with psychedelic compounds,” and reschedule psilocybin, psilocin, DMT, ibogaine, mescaline and MDMA under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).

Further, it calls for the establishment of “legal protection against federal prosecution for individuals and entities complying with state law concerning the supervised adult use of psychedelic compounds and require states to enter research partnerships with the Attorney General under the Controlled Substances Act to study the public health outcomes of such state programs.”

The amendment adopted by the Assembly and now signed off on by the Senate “specifies that legal protections against federal prosecution shall be for individuals and entities who are compliant with state and local laws concerning the supervised adult use of psychedelic compounds,” Sen. James Ohrenschall (D) said on the floor.

OMG: “Parents Don’t Need to Know That You’re Transitioning” – Nevada DHHS Official Admits to Hiding Castration Surgeries From Parents

The O’Keefe Media Group on Friday released part two of its undercover footage of Nevada DHHS Official Deshaun Mack admitting to ‘bending the rules’ to get Medicare to pay for transition surgeries for minors.

Deshaun Mack admitted he helps transition children and hide the castration surgeries from parents. He also said he uses a loophole to get Medicare to pay for the transition surgeries.

Per O’Keefe Media Group:

Deshaun Eli Mack, a Family Services Specialist with the Nevada DHHS, told an undercover OMG journalist that not only has he helped children transition, but he has done it “a few times, actually. Actually, a lot of times,” adding, “I don’t see as many as I would enjoy seeing.”

Mack described helping a biological male pursue so-called feminization surgery. “She had specifically asked me about feminization surgery,” he recalled, explaining the advice he gave: “I told her the best way to get it would be to make sure that your doctor says that it’s medically necessary. So that medicare pays for it.”

When asked about what happens if a child’s parents don’t approve of the transition or don’t know about it, Mack made it clear: “We do not actually tell anyone.” He elaborated further, stating, “I can’t even tell you that your child is receiving benefits. Because you’re not on that case.” According to Mack, “The parents don’t need to know that you’re transitioning. You can just go to the doctor.”

Even more disturbing, Mack openly admitted to abusing the state’s “runaway youth” provision to bypass parental consent. “At that point, I would just shoot them as a runaway youth,” he said.

He further explained the mechanics of how the system can be manipulated: “We can approve the benefits for the child by themselves. Or we can pull them off their parent’s case.” He added that this practice doesn’t alert other state agencies either: “I don’t even think in that circumstance we let our sister agency, DCFS, Division of Child Care and Family Services, I don’t even think we alert them at that point.”

“I can’t even tell you that your child is receiving benefits. Because you’re not on that case.” Mack told the OMG journalist. “The parents don’t need to know that you’re transitioning. You can just go to the doctor.”

OMG: Nevada DHHS Specialist Caught on Camera Admitting to “Bending the Rules” to Provide Benefits for Illegal Aliens

The O’Keefe Media Group on Thursday released undercover video of a Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Welfare and Supportive Services specialist admitting to bending the rules to provide benefits for illegal aliens.

“I get them emergency medical all the time… I just approve them for 12 months because I can,” Nevada DHHS specialist Deshaun Eli Mack said.

“Even undocumented people from Mexico and things; I can still get them benefits,” he said.

Per O’Keefe Media Group:

Deshaun Eli Mack, a Family Services Specialist with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), has been caught on hidden camera admitting to intentionally violating state policies to provide government-funded benefits to undocumented immigrants.

Mack detailed how he manipulates the system to offer extended emergency Medicaid coverage to illegals, stating, “I get them emergency medical all the time… just because I want to.”

According to Mack, emergency Medicaid for undocumented immigrants is supposed to be granted on a month-to-month basis and only for severe, qualifying conditions. However, he confessed that he bypasses this process entirely. “They’re supposed to apply every month,” he said, “so I just approve them for 12 months… because I can.”

When asked if that kind of discretion was allowed, Mack responded bluntly: “I make it so. I bend the rules a lot.” He added later, “I will twist and turn our provisions to fit the way that I want them to be.”

Mack also acknowledged a culture within the agency of avoiding cooperation with federal immigration authorities, stating, “We would never call ICE. We do not work with them ever.”

When pressed on whether this behavior amounted to subverting the law, Mack didn’t hesitate: “I do that a lot.”

Deshaun Mack initially told OMG: “I don’t [break the law], because I’m not.”

Nevada Assembly Passes Resolution Urging Congress To Reschedule Psychedelics And Protect ‘Supervised Adult Use’ Of The Substances

The Nevada Assembly has amended and advanced a Senate-passed joint resolution calling on Congress to reschedule certain psychedelics, streamline research and provide protections for people using the substances in compliance with state law.

On the chamber floor on Thursday, lawmakers voted 36-6 to advance the measure—SJR 10, from Sen. Rochelle Nguyen (D)—which now returns to the Senate to consider changes made in the Assembly.
