One of the media’s favorite economists is at it again

For four years the media and other Democrats gaslighted the public about how great the Biden economic policies were. But six months into Trump’s term, the media is trashing Trump’s policies in order to influence, not inform, the voters. And, like clockwork, they trot out Mark Zandi, who they pretend is independent, but is really a Democrat hack. Whenever the media and other Democrats want an economist to support their policies and trash Republican (Trump) policies, out comes Zandi.

Here he is in The Hill saying we are on the precipice of a recession. I guess the deep depression warnings of April the Democrats and media promised didn’t come true, so out he comes again, just like a groundhog, with new warnings:

US economy on ‘precipice of recession,’ Moody’s chief economist warns

  • Consumer spending flat; construction, manufacturing contracting, he says
  • Zandi blames tariffs, immigration policy for economic struggles
  • Low jobless rate masks shrinking workforce, hiring freezes

Moody’s Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi said the U.S. economy is ‘on the precipice of recession,’ citing indicators from last week’s economic data releases.

The article is everywhere. Not to be outdone, Fox News calls him a leading economist and says the Federal Reserve has few options to save us from financial crisis. Maybe they should lower interest rates? I have to wonder how many times an economist has to be wrong before the media stops considering them to be a leading economist?

Leading economist issues stark recession warning for struggling US economy

Mark Zandi cites weak jobs data and rising inflation as Fed faces limited rescue options[.]

In 2007, Moody’s (Zandi), S & P, and Fitch were earning huge fees by rating junk mortgage pools as Triple A. This allowed brokers, bankers, Freddie and Fannie, to package up trillion dollars worth of garbage to sell to individuals, banks, and mutual funds. This was pure fraud that almost destroyed the U.S. and world economy, and yet these people did not go to jail. The taxpayer bailed them out.

Yet today Zandi and others are still treated as respectable ratings agents.

Washington Post Hides Russiagate Facts From Readers While Peddling PR For Disgraced Hoaxers

“Exclusive!” boasts Washington Post intel reporter Warren P. Strobel in a report this week: The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and “other intelligence agencies” didn’t want Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to declassify a report that makes the CIA look bad.

In other news, the sky is blue, and the grass is green. Obviously, no one wants to be publicly embarrassed by the exposure of their substandard work — in this case work that led to the Russia collusion hoax, one of the political witch hunts that interfered with President Donald Trump’s first term.

As noted by Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway on X, “Strobel frames everything as if he’s doing highly paid PR for bad actors in the spy agencies and their Democrat co-conspirators. Namely, HE DOES NOT EVEN TELL HIS READERS WHAT THE REPORT REVEALS about how shoddy Brennan/CIA’s work was!”

Strobel does not make it easy for the reader to see the report, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence’s 2020 staff report regarding the Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Election Interference. At no point does he offer a link to the report or explain its explosive findings: that John Brennan, CIA director under former President Barack Obama, produced a sloppy Intelligence Community Assessment promoting the lie that Russian President Vladimir Putin interfered with the 2020 election to help Trump win. The foundation of Brennan’s report was an out of context fragment of a sentence that could not be confirmed and the comically false Steele dossier. A newly released CIA review shows high level CIA analysts and officers urged Brennan not to include the Steele dossier in the report.

Beyond being thin on facts, Strobel’s piece paints Gabbard as the villain right off the bat with the title, “Gabbard overrode CIA officials’ concerns in push to release classified Russia report.” It reads as if Gabbard did something wrong; she didn’t. Gabbard does not need permission to declassify these documents. Strange that a reporter, by trade, would champion keeping documents classified or highly redacted, as suggested in his piece. Normally reporters press for the most transparency possible.

The Sad, Pathetic End of Howard Stern

It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

A big, explosive controversy that’s impossible to ignore! A jaw-dropping confession that outraged his corporate bosses! Or maybe he’d finally suffer the consequences of speaking “truth to power” — and pay the ultimate price for refusing to back down!

That’s how “The Howard Stern Show” was supposed to end.

This November marks the 100th anniversary of TS Eliot’s haunting poem, “The Hollow Men.” It’s a telling coincidence, for it foretold not just the fate of the world, but of a certain shock-jock: “This is the way the [Howard Stern Show] ends; Now with a bang but a whimper.”

But calling it a whimper would be an overstatement. It was more of a “tree falling in a forest when no one’s around” situation, because Howard Stern’s audience abandoned him years ago: “Stern’s program has fluctuated from 20 million daily to just 125,000 of late.”

That’s an astonishing fall from grace. There are, quite literally, thousands of nameless, faceless YouTubers, TikTokers, X posters, and “influencers” with far larger audiences than the one-time “King of All Media.” During his heyday, 20 million Americans famously listened to Howard Stern to “see what he says next”.

NYT Op-Ed Pushes “New Definition of Death” So We Can Harvest More Organs

An op-ed in the New York Times is calling for a “new definition of death” so that we can increase the number of available donor organs.

I’m not exaggerating, it’s right there in the headline.

Sometimes you can only look at a headline and wonder.

Of course, redefining words and phrases is nothing new in the Great Reset world. “Case”, “cause of death”, “vaccine”, “terrorist”, “democracy”…all have received updated definitions in just the last few years. Rubberizing language so that words become malleable, with vague or even totally inverted meanings, is par for the course, just as Orwell predicted.

In this case, you take the word dead and “broaden” its definition to include…people who are alive.

BEYOND PARODY: CBS Mornings Host Worries About America ‘Colonizing’ the Moon, is Reminded There’s No Indigenous Population There

During a conversation with Neil deGrasse Tyson, CBS Mornings host Vladimir Duthiers expressed worry about America ‘colonizing’ the moon and had to be reminded that there is no indigenous population there.

It’s just the latest reminder of how insane our media has become.

Duthiers is basically parroting the type of language you hear on far left college campuses about colonization. It’s one of the many ways the left uses language and ideas to bash our country and its history.

FOX News reported:

CBS host frets Trump admin plans for moon base could usher in new ‘age of colonialism’ in space

On “CBS Mornings Plus” on Wednesday, Duthiers and co-host Adriana Diaz discussed the White House calling for more human space exploration and administration plans to build a nuclear reactor on the moon to precede an eventual U.S. lunar base with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Diaz asked if it was “inevitable that we’re going to have to go to the moon and try to colonize the Moon?”

“We know how the age of colonialism worked on this planet,” the host said. “Should we be trying to colonize and saying that there’s a keep-out zone that no other countries can participate in having?”

Tyson replied by pointing out that it would be difficult to colonize an area that does not have people.

“Well, the — the real problem with the colonization history in Western civilization is that there were people already there,” Tyson said.

Duthiers and Diaz agreed, and Tyson added that “there are no moon beings that were displaced as far as we know.”

Is Rachel Maddow Trying to Get Trump Killed? It Sure Looks That Way

On Monday of this week, the only night that Rachel Maddow hosts her MSNBC show, she looked depressed and dejected as she delivered her opening monologue.

In her screed, Maddow spent the better part of ten-plus minutes describing the Trump presidency as a dictatorship and saying that the country “has an authoritarian leader.”

What is Maddow doing here? There have already been two attempts on Trump’s life. Is Maddow pushing for a third? It sure looks that way.

Transcript via NewsBusters:

RACHEL MADDOW: Life has not stopped and none of our personal lives have stopped. But also at the same time, life in the United States is profoundly changing. It’s profoundly different than it was even six months ago, because we do now live in a country that has an authoritarian leader in charge. We have a consolidating dictatorship in our country. And it sounds melodramatic to say it, I know, but just go with that for a minute, right?

Think– think in melodramatic terms. Think in cinematic terms. Imagine the cartoon level caricature of what you think a dictatorship looks like. I mean, it’s secret police, right? A massive anonymous unbadged, literally masked, totally unaccountable internal police force that apparently has infinite funding but no identifiable leadership. And they act in ways designed to instill maximum fear and use maximum force.

I mean, when you imagine an authoritarian country, right, what you imagine is masked secret police breaking people’s car windows and snatching people off the streets and out of church parking lots and courtroom hallways and taking them away with no charges, no notice, no paperwork, no explanation, not letting them see lawyers, and then moving them secretly to what are effectively black site prisons where they won’t tell you who’s there and where no one is allowed in to see what’s going on. Right?

Don Lemon Embroiled In New Controversy

Former CNN host Don Lemon is once again facing intense backlash after appearing to give tacit approval to an outrageous Holocaust comparison made by a Texas Democrat during a livestream discussion on the state’s 2026 redistricting battle.

Texas State Rep. Jolanda Jones (D–Houston), who recently fled to Illinois along with dozens of other Democrats to block a Republican redistricting proposal, created outrage when she likened the GOP’s mid-decade redistricting efforts to the Holocaust.

“I will liken this to the Holocaust,” Jones said. “People are like, ‘well, how did the Holocaust happen? How is somebody in a position to kill all them people?’”

“Well, good people remained silent or good people didn’t realize that what happens to them can very soon happen to me or somebody I love,” Jones claimed.

As she delivered the incendiary remarks, Lemon nodded in agreement and muttered, “Mmhmm.”

Jones remained defiant, even as the Holocaust analogy threatens to derail her party’s messaging. “God forbid they end up targeting you and your family,” she added in her closing line.

Jones, who was elected in 2022, made the comments during a virtual town hall discussing the Republican-led redistricting plan. That proposal—unveiled earlier this summer—aims to redraw 37 of Texas’s 38 congressional districts, potentially giving the GOP control of up to 30 seats ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Democrats claim the map disproportionately targets Black and Latino-majority districts in cities like Houston, Austin, and Dallas–Fort Worth. But comparing political maneuvering to one of the most horrific genocides in human history has even some liberals backing away from Jones.

Jones’s full comments were even more dire. “If you think it can’t happen, it can,” she said. “We will lose all of our rights. And if you think it can’t happen, it can. And I will liken this to the Holocaust.”

While most of the attention has focused on her remarks, Lemon’s visible affirmation is raising eyebrows as well. The former CNN anchor, who has previously come under fire for bizarre on-air moments, including suggesting women over 40 are “past their prime,” was recently attempting a career pivot through online platforms. Many are now calling for advertisers to cut ties.

Donald Trump Corrects CNBC Host On-Air, Live Fact Check Backfires

President Donald Trump called into CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Tuesday, where he addressed a wide range of topics, including his 2024 election victory, economic policies, Democratic leadership, and congressional redistricting.

During the live segment, Trump fact-checked the host in real time over his record vote count in Texas—and was quickly proven correct.

During the conversation, Trump stated, “I got the highest vote in the history of Texas,” referring to the 2024 election results.

CNBC co-host Joe Kernen responded, “I have to check on that,” prompting a brief exchange.

Moments later, Kernen confirmed the claim, saying, “Okay, so huh, here we go, you did get the highest number of votes in Texas. So, that’s true.”

Trump replied, “I did. Okay, you don’t have to say anything more, Joe. No, don’t say anything more, don’t qualify it by saying…” Kernen conceded, “You did,” before moving on to the next topic.

REPORT: Far-Left Radio Host Howard Stern Facing the Axe After 20 Years on Air

Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show is likely to be axed later this year, according to several media reports.

According to The Sun newspaper, SiriusXM have decided not to renew his $100 million contract, which ends later this year.

Their report states:

“Stern’s contract is up in the fall and while Sirius is planning to make him an offer, they don’t intend for him to take it,” one insider said of the impending end to the shock jock’s latest five-year contract.

“Sirius and Stern are never going to meet on the money he is going to want. It’s no longer worth the investment.”

The insider added that fans may expect Sirius to strike a deal for his library.

“But as far as him coming back to doing the show, there’s no way they can keep paying his salary,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Mail Online similarly reported that the show is in “jeapordy” and that the relationship was likely coming to an end.

The insider said: ‘He may do a 1-2 year contract if they can meet him where he wants financially. He doesn’t want to pull the plug on his employees like this.’

A separate source said Stern was considering ‘parting ways’ with SiriusXM – and that his staff of ‘around 95’ writers and producers had only recently heard about Stern’s indecision over the show’s future.

They added the star ‘will likely sell his catalogue of shows to replay’ on uncensored channels Howard 100 and Howard 101.

Having built his reputation as a provocative shock jock, Stern has long used his platform to rail against President Trump and those who support him.

Last year, Stern admitted that he hates whose who voted for Trump and even demanded that they refrain from listening to his show.

Former CNN Host Jim Acosta Interviews AI Generated Version of Dead Teen to Push Gun Control

When it comes to journalistic ethics, former CNN host Jim Acosta clearly has none.

Acosta recently interviewed one of the victims of the Parkland shooting. Not a real one, mind you, but an AI generated version of one of the victims who died in the shooting.

Acosta actually spoke to this non-real person as if it was real and used the AI generation to push gun control.

This is just sick.

From Townhall:

I don’t know what this is, but it’s unseemly, insensitive, and creepy. The interview should never have been done, and whoever or whichever group of people thought this was a good idea, creating AI chatbots for those killed during the Parkland shooting, are ghouls.

In 2018, 17 students were murdered during the attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Joaquin Oliver, 17, was one of those people, and he “spoke” with former CNN host Jim Acosta in a surreal “interview,” which inevitably led to a push for more gun control…

Acosta: “I would like to know what your solution would be for gun violence.”

AI Joaquin Oliver: “Great question. I believe in a mix of stronger gun control laws, mental health support, and community engagement.”

“We need to create safe spaces for conversations and connections, making sure everyone feels seen and heard. It’s about building a culture of kindness and understanding. What do you think about that?”

Acosta: “I think that’s a great idea, Joaquin.”
