Don Lemon: I’m ‘Serious’ about running for president in 2028

Disgraced former CNN host Don Lemon revealed in a recent interview that he is “totally serious” about considering a 2028 presidential run.

On Wednesday, appearing on the “Can’t be Censored” podcast, hosts Travis Dhanraj and Karman Wong asked Lemon directly about his political ambitions. The former anchor surprised the hosts by stating that he is “totally serious” about potentially running for president of the United States.

“Do you have political ambition? Is that true?” Dhanraj questioned.

“No, but people keep asking me if I’m running for president,” Lemon responded. “And I don’t know. I might. I’m serious. I don’t know. I might, because people keep asking me to do it, or if I’m going to do it.”

“I actually think I would be a really good president of the United States,” he continued.

Leftist Reporter Says She Has No Problem Supporting ‘Secret Nazis’ As Long as They Support Her Extremist Agenda

Emma Vigeland, a far-left reporter and co-host of The Majority Report With Sam Seder podcast, shared that she has ‘no problem’ supporting a ‘secret Nazi’ as long as they vote according to her Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) views.

Just before Senate candidate Graham Platner’s exit from the Maine Senate race after he was faced with new salacious allegations of rape, Platner’s not-so-secret ‘Nazi’ tattoo hat tip did not appear to bother Vigeland.

Vigeland said on a Vox podcast that she doesn’t care if a progressive or socialist candidate has “Nazi” skeletons in their closet.

“I am wary of over-focusing on an individual’s personal character over their platform.”

“You know, I’ve said this before. I don’t really care if say like Bernie Sanders or AOC go home and they’re a secret Nazi, but they go out, and they vote for the right things. We’re talking about politicians……”

Vox host Astead Herndon cut in, sounding surprised, and asked: “You don’t care?”

Vigeland laughed and began, “I mean…”

Herndon continued the awkward exchange, adding, “I’m like….I think these are the lines that people are talking about. Some people care about that exact thing.”

Vigeland stammered, “But, but, but, but why would it matter if they’re public officials and they are doing the right thing in public.”

The Maine Senate Debate Was Pure Dumpster Fire — Even The New York Times Admits It

When Graham Platner dropped out of Maine’s Senate race, Democrats figured they’d dodged a bullet. All they had to do was find a competent replacement to take on Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), and the seat was theirs for the taking. That was the narrative, anyway.

Then their candidates took the stage Thursday night for the first primary debate, and the bullet found them anyway.

The debate, hosted by News Center Maine on July 16, featured four candidates in the first hour: former State Senate President Troy Jackson, Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, former congressional aide Jordan Wood, and Dr. Nirav Shah, all of whom lost separate Democrat primaries for higher office in Maine earlier this year. This is the B team.

Don’t take my word for it.

The New York Times, which would love nothing more than to watch Collins lose, reviewed the performance. “Halting answers. Convoluted responses and stilted deliveries,” was its verdict. “Former State Senator Troy Jackson, Secretary of State Shenna Bellows and Jordan Wood, a former congressional aide, all struggled to match the forceful message and rhetorical prowess of Mr. Platner, whose rallies electrified voters over the last year.”

When even the New York Times can’t spin a Democrat debate into a triumph, you know it was ugly.

The low point belonged to Bellows. The candidates spent the night attacking Collins for supposedly rubber-stamping President Donald Trump’s agenda, and her actual voting record kept getting in the way. Discussing the military operation that captured Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, Bellows claimed, “What Susan Collins has failed to stop is a completely unstable foreign policy.”

“Collins did vote for a war powers resolution to limit what Trump could do in Venezuela in January, right?” moderator Phil Hirschkorn asked.

“Forgive me,” Bellows said. She explained that she had been on vacation a week earlier and hadn’t expected to run for Senate at all after losing her bid for governor. “When I need to know the facts, I will,” she added. “I’ll do my homework.”

Think about that for a second. A sitting secretary of state, running for the United States Senate, promised voters she would get around to learning the facts at some point down the road.

National Public Radio Suggests Banning Trans Surgery for Minors Sets a ‘Dangerous Precedent’

National Public Radio (NPR) recently did a story about how the Trump administration is cracking down on the use of Medicaid and Medicare for so-called ‘gender affirming care’ especially with regards to children.

This is another 80/20 issue that the vast majority of the public supports, it might even be 90/10. Most people do not believe that children should be involved in any of this. We don’t allow children to get tattoos, why would we allow them to get irreversible (and unnecessary) surgery that will affect them for the rest of their lives?

Despite public outcry, Democrats and the left in general, have made it clear that they simply will not let go of this issue.

The language in the NPR story shows that.

Touted as an exclusive story on National Public Radio from health reporter Selena Simmons-Duffin, “Trump’s HHS abandons threat to withhold Medicare and Medicaid funding over trans care” dutifully repeated the “gender-affirming care for youth” misnomer in the lead while providing only trans-supportive sources.

The Trump administration is abandoning its most aggressive attempt to end gender-affirming care for youth nationally, according to an official document obtained by NPR.

The document shows that the Department of Health and Human Services will not be finalizing a proposed rule that would have blocked all Medicaid and Medicare funding for hospitals that provide pediatric gender-affirming care…

The broadcast version that aired on NPR’s All Things Considered Monday added a “dangerous” adjective to the mix.

Simmons-Duffin: ….The American Medical Association and the Children’s Hospital Association both urged the government to withdraw it. They said it violated several laws and set a dangerous precedent….

This is exactly why for years now, conservatives have been calling for the defunding of NPR.

Major networks ABC, NBC refuse to air Trump’s prime-time address on election fraud

Major broadcast networks, including ABC and NBC, will not be airing President Donald Trump‘s highly anticipated speech addressing his administration’s most pressing issues and his stance on election fraud. 

The White House has hinted at a variety of reasons for Thursday’s speech, but sources told Reuters on Wednesday that Trump may use the remarks to disclose whether China had interfered in the 2020 presidential election. 

The president said ahead of the speech that he has ‘really, really big news’ to share with the nation. 

ABC confirmed in a statement to multiple media outlets that the president’s remarks would be live-streamed on its corresponding streaming channels rather than on the prime-time cable network. 

‘We will also cover the speech in our regular network newscasts and, as always, our Special Report team is fully prepared to break into network programming to deliver live updates and reporting should significant developments occur,’ the network said in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter.

NBC has also opted to air Trump’s remarks on its free streaming service, NBC News Now, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to Reuters.   

Spokespeople for CBS News and Fox News have not announced whether they will air Trump’s speech on their prime-time channels. 

CNN told the Hollywood Reporter that the network planned to cover the president’s speech ‘as a news event, and monitor it for news developments, providing analysis and commentary from CNN experts who cover elections, intelligence and the FBI.’

Media Cheering a Deal That Puts Lebanon on the Chopping Block for Israel

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on June 26 triumphantly announced the “signing of the Trilateral Framework between Lebanon, Israel and the United States.” The document allegedly “builds a realistic path out of endless conflict” between Israel and Lebanon—“the inheritors of ancient civilizations that date back to the time of the Bible.”

According to Rubio:

This agreement establishes a clear and structured process to restore Lebanon’s sovereignty, disarm Hezbollah and dismantle its terrorist infrastructure, and enable Israel to return to its borders once that threat to its citizens is removed.

The framework also creates a cool-sounding “Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L), facilitated by the United States.”

As should be immediately clear to anyone who has paid minimal attention to politics over the past 80 years, any US-brokered agreement between the two inheritors of ancient civilizations will automatically be designed to screw over Lebanon in favor of Israel—which has harbored designs on Lebanese territory from the get-go.

As Amnesty International noted, the agreement “betrays victims of war crimes in Lebanon” by essentially blocking their right to seek justice in international forums. It also signs off, Amnesty said, on the “prolonged and indefinite forced displacement of tens of thousands of residents of vast swathes of southern Lebanon occupied by Israeli forces.”

White House Officials Asked to Turn Over Phones in Investigation Into Air Force One Security Leak

Officials in the Trump White House have been asked to turn over their phones as part of the investigation into a leak about Air Force One security while the President was traveling in the Middle East last week.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Trump announced that the Air Force One jet he flew to Ankara, Turkey, for the NATO summit last week would be visiting a US base in the UK. He went on to fly on a different Air Force One plane when departing from Turkey on Wednesday night, prompting speculation of security concerns.

Trump had told reporters numerous times during the NATO summit that Iran is plotting to assassinate him and that he’s “number one” on their kill list, but he shrugged off security concerns when asked if that’s the reason why the new Air Force One plane was rerouted.

After flying out of Turkey and across the Middle East on the old jet, Trump boarded his newer luxury plane, donated to the US by Qatar, at Mildenhall Air Force Base in the UK. Trump was then pressed again about security concerns and why reporters had been directed to keep their window shades down while flying from Turkey to the UK, and he hilariously said, “I’m number one on their list before you, but if I go, you go.”

The President continued, “So, perhaps someday you want to change professions.”

Jim Jordan Fights UK Plan to Force Legacy Media Into Feeds

Britain’s government has decided that a functioning adult with thumbs and a phone cannot be trusted to pick your own news. So it has drawn up a plan to pick it for you.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport published a paper on June 23 proposing that social media platforms and video sharing sites be forced to push a hand-picked list of broadcasters to the top of your feed.

The list runs BBC, ITV, STV, Channel 4, S4C and Channel 5. The government files them under “public service media.” You might file them under the channels people have spent two decades scrolling away from.

Now the argument has crossed the Atlantic. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan sent Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy a letter on July 14 warning that the plan “would serve as a major threat to online speech and expression and infringe on the rights of American companies and their users.” He wants a briefing by 10 a.m. Washington time on July 28.

The platforms being ordered around are American. Their users are everywhere. A British minister rewriting how YouTube ranks video reaches straight into feeds in Ohio and Osaka.

The DCMS says the goal is to help people “discover trusted news sources” and to fight “misinformation” and “disinformation.”

Translated, the state has chosen your news and would rather you stopped wandering off. Who gets to decide what counts as “trusted”? The same government running the scheme, of course.

The paper leans on real numbers. Ofcom found that social media is now the main news source for 51 percent of adults and 75 percent of people aged 16 to 24. People left. The government’s response is not to ask why they left. It is to guarantee the approved broadcasters a spot at the top while everyone else scraps for whatever attention is left over.

The trick lies in the technology. On television, “prominence” is old furniture. You can legally park BBC One near the top of the channel guide, and the Media Act 2024 dragged that habit onto smart-TV home screens. A recommendation feed works nothing like a channel list. It sorts content in real time by what you personally watch, click and share. Forcing “prominence” onto that means reaching into the ranking and hoisting chosen publishers above where your own behavior left them. Less a nudge, more a shove.

Correcting the New York Times ACIP Reporting on Vaccine Injury

Seeing Sunday’s New York Times headline titled “Confidential Report Calls for Sweeping Changes to Track Covid Vaccine Harms,” a reflexive question flashed in the minds of even the most staunch defenders of legacy vaccine policy – is the NY Times about to dismiss the Covid vaccine-injured?

For those who don’t care to read the outlet’s reporting, here are what the authors chose to add as closing words:

“The basis of supposed Covid vaccine injury syndrome is even less persuasive and thus even less directly relevant to vaccine policy…”

For experienced readers, seeing who the article’s lead author is should have caused pause immediately. When it comes to journalistic integrity, Apoorva Mandavilli is not who comes to mind.

In an October 6, 2021 NYT article titled ”A New Vaccine Strategy for Children: Just One Dose, for Now,” Mandavilli stated that 900,000 US children have been hospitalized due to Covid. She was forced to correct the glaring error when the real number was found to be slightly more than 63,000.

In 2022 Mandavilli reported on the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendation of Pfizer’s Covid shot for kids aged 5-11. The NY Times initially reported, “Nearly 4,000 children aged 5 to 11 have died from a Covid-related condition called multisystem inflammatory syndrome during the pandemic.”

CBC calls for more gun control after suspected gang shooting in Toronto

Two people were killed and five others were injured at Toronto’s Salsa on St. Clair Festival over the weekend. Hours later, shots were fired near Polson Pier, a ride share was carjacked with passengers inside, and the suspect struck pedestrians and vehicles while fleeing.

David Menzies and Sheila Gunn Reid reacted to the wild weekend in Toronto on Monday’s Rebel Roundup livestream.

“I started the stopwatch to see how quick it would be before the CBC and the Toronto Star trotted out the anti-gun advocates,” David said.

Sure enough, the CBC ran a headline that made no mention of bail reform or gang violence. “Advocates speak out against gun violence following troubling weekend of shootings,” it read.

Sheila was blunt about who was actually involved.

“These are illegal firearms,” she said. “Any gun control measure you force on the rest of us doesn’t touch these people at all. And in fact, it draws police resources away from the real bad guys.”

The Polson Pier suspect, Omar Abdul-Singate, 25, of Brampton, was charged with four counts of forcible confinement, discharging a firearm recklessly, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm while prohibited — meaning he was already under a firearms prohibition — robbery, dangerous operation causing bodily harm, and dangerous operation.

A second suspect remains at large.

Both hosts also took aim at how Toronto police characterized the St. Clair shooting on social media, where it was described as an “active shooter” situation. 

Former Toronto police officer Jay Bannister, now of Mad Lab Press, told David the term was misleading. “When I hear active shooter, I’m thinking someone is still out there with a gun, walking down the street shooting innocent people,” David said, relaying Bannister’s assessment.

“What we had was gangbangers shooting other gangbangers, and then they made their escape. That’s not an active shooter.”

Sheila agreed. “This is just the gang war using this street festival as a battleground,” she said.

David closed with a note on bail, saying he could not confirm whether Abdul-Singate had been released, but was confident the question was worth asking.

“That is way more problematic,” Sheila said, “than taking away firearms from legal, law-abiding Canadians.”
