Obama’s Tower Of Doom Is Harder To Get Into Than America Itself

In yet another jaw-dropping display of elite hypocrisy, Barack Obama’s Chicago Presidential Center – long derided as the “Tower of Doom” – now requires proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency just to enter a ticket giveaway for its grand opening ceremony on June 18, 2026.

While Democrats in Washington relentlessly push policies that treat America’s borders like an open invitation, the Obama Foundation has quietly imposed strict eligibility rules for its own high-profile event. 

The sweepstakes for two free tickets, complete with a potential $1,500 travel stipend for winners living 100 miles or more away, is explicitly limited to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents who are legal residents of the 50 states, D.C., or Puerto Rico and at least 18 years old.

Kayleigh McEnany cut straight to the point: “Why do we have stricter standards for the Obama library than for voting?”

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) delivered the obvious answer: “Well, because Democrats would like to allow non-citizens to vote in American elections.”

Sen. Van Hollen Shares Sob Story Blaming ICE for Seriously Injuring Supposed “Asylum Seeker” in Crash and It Backfires When DHS Reveals the Cold Truth About Incident

Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), who infamously became criminal illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s greatest champion, shared a sob story about a supposed “asylum seeker” named Ever Alvarenga Rios that later blew up in his face.

As WMAR reports, an attorney for Rios alleged that his client was driving in Highlandtown Thursday morning when agents supposedly “violently rear-ended” his vehicle and proceeded to take him into custody.

Rios was later hospitalized with injuries to his head, chest, back, and hands.

“I think this is probably the most egregious case that I’ve seen in terms of causing physical bodily injury to the person involved,” Rios’s attorney, Adam Crandell, said. “It’s disturbing, to say the least, that this is how ICE appears to be choosing to interact.”

Crandell went on to state that ICE agents are refusing to allow him or any other people to visit Rios.

Initially, we were told that it was a medical issue that he needed to be stabilized before he could accept visitors or any type of legal visit. Then the story changed and we were told today that there was an issue with the paperwork,” Crandell claimed. “Even more recently, I was told that so long as he remains hospitalized, ICE will not allow us access to him.”

On Saturday morning, Van Hollen took the opportunity to regurgitate Alvarenga’s attorneys’ talking points and to smear ICE agents as “endangering our communities and violating the Constitution.”

NY assembly to get million-dollar lounge —while demanding huge tax hikes on hardworking New Yorkers

State assembly members are set to personally enjoy a million-dollar renovation for their lounge space just off the chamber floor — even as they push to hike taxes on businesses while driving up spending, The Post has learned.

The Office of General Services, a division of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s administration which handles much of the capitol complex, is moving forward with plans to renovate the space with the price tag potentially exceeding $1 million, according to bidding documents reviewed by The Post.

The move comes as the same pols who exclusively get to recline on the couches in the antechamber and chomp down on treats prepared in the lounge’s kitchenette demand Hochul hike taxes on businesses amid next year’s proposed $263 billion state budget.

“Albany Democrats always find money for themselves while asking New Yorkers to pay more. They are completely out of touch,” upstate Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), a former assembly woman, told The Post.

Ex-Assemblyman Andy Goodell (R-Chautaqua) added, “The assembly members should work harder rather than ‘lounge’ around.”

A source confirmed to The Post that OGS had received a request from the Assembly for the project.

Lawmakers ran for the hills Wednesday for Passover break after failing to come to an agreement with Hochul on her proposed $263 billion state budget proposal.

Despite being on a scheduled two-week recess, lawmakers will likely have to gather to vote Tuesday on another stopgap spending bill to keep state workers paid.

At least some will likely skip the tally in person, Goodell said.

Liberals Won’t Confront Fraud Because They Still Believe Government Is The Solution

At least the bombs are real.

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof has pulled out the hoariest of boomer liberal tropes, asking what the money spent on war could buy if redirected to welfare programs. Examples include “For less than three weeks of war, or $35 billion, we could run a nationwide pre-K program for 3- and 4-year-olds,” and “For $75 million, about an hour’s worth of war, we could provide three books free to every child in America who is living under the poverty line.” Ah yes, we could fund so many Minneapolis daycares and “Quality Learing” centers.

I don’t know how our campaign against the mullahs will turn out, but it has real bombs being dropped on real targets with people really dying. In contrast, the sorts of programs Kristof promotes as better recipients of taxpayer money tend to be more ephemeral in their results — and that’s assuming that the recipients even exist. To cite a few examples that even a New York Times columnist ought to have heard of, there is the Somali daycare piracy, the California wildlife bridge to nowhere, the California high-speed rail debacle, and the embarrassing spectacle of cities spending endlessly to end homelessness while not even reducing it.

Kristof and his ilk never seem outraged at these wasted and stolen billions. They might mildly tsk-tsk, but there is no visceral rage toward those who plunder billions that were supposedly for helping children. Yet if lefties really believe that government programs are the key to a wonderfully better society and world, shouldn’t they be furious at those running them into the ground or robbing them?

Last night, the Gateway Pundit reported that the mayor of Providence, Rhode Island was caving to left wing activists in the city who wanted him to stop the creation of a mural honoring murder victim Iryna Zarutska, the legal immigrant from Ukraine who was killed by a repeat offender.

Now we have a clip of Rhode Island Democrat Rep. David Morales who said on camera that the mural doesn’t reflect the values of the people of the city.

Who exactly does reflect their values? Zarutska’s killer? This is just stunning.

A Rhode Island Democratic state representative is facing blowback on social media after claiming that a mural of Iryna Zarutska, the Ukrainian woman whose brutal murder while riding a North Carolina train sparked national outrage, doesn’t reflect the “values” of the city of Providence.

“Ultimately, we want to make sure that every community member who calls Providence home feels safe,” Rep. David Morales told local media about a mural of Zarutska facing calls to be removed from the exterior of an LGBTQ+ club in downtown Providence.

“We can both agree that this mural behind us does not reflect Providence’s values nor does it reflect the creativity that we would want to see in our city.”

The lawmaker’s comments immediately sparked negative reactions from conservatives on social media after they were posted by the conservative influencer account End Wokeness in a post that has been viewed over 1 million times.

“What are his values?” Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who is reportedly involved in the mural project, posted on X.

“He cites people wanting to be ‘safe’ as a reason to destroy a mural on a private building meant to honor a murdered woman,” Red State writer Bonchie posted on X. “You can’t imagine how crazy Democrats are in these blue bastions. You think what you see on MSNBC is nuts? It’s even worse in their bubble cities.”

Pelosi Says Trump and Republicans May Hack Into Voting Machines to Rig Vote Count in 2026 Midterm Elections

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed President Trump and the Republicans are going to go into the voting machines and change the vote count to steal the 2026 midterm elections.

Pelosi, who previously announced she will be retiring after decades in Congress, sat down with MS NOWS’s Ali Vitali to discuss the 2026 midterm elections, Joe Biden, the partial government shutdown, female candidates for president, and other topics.

“I always thought the American people were much more ready for ‘Madam President’ than Congress was for ‘Madam Speaker,’ because it is a marble ceiling,” she said. “It’s not a glass ceiling; it’s a marble ceiling,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi took a swipe at Kamala Harris and said Hillary Clinton was the most qualified person of our generation to run for president.

“She turned out so many more people than who would have voted,” Pelosi said.

At one point, the conversation turned to election integrity and the 2026 midterm elections.

Nancy Pelosi said Trump and the Republicans may try to hack the voting machines and steal the midterms by altering the vote count.

“We always have concerns, but with this president and the Republicans who have no commitment to the rule of law and doing things the appropriate way- we’re ready,” Pelosi said.

She continued, “We have to make sure the elections are safe…. We have to be on guard as to what [the Republicans] may try to do to the technology. They may try to creep into the technology and create a false count,” Pelosi said.

MS NOW’s Ali Vitali entertained Pelosi’s claims.

“How do you guard against that?” she asked Pelosi.

“That’s a challenge,” Pelosi said.

Chicago: Pro-Gun Control Mayor’s ‘Armed Security’ Detail Costing Taxpayers $30 Million A Year

A report from the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s senior VP and general counsel Lawrence Keane indicates pro-gun control Mayor Brandon Johnson’s “armed security” detail costs taxpayers about $30 million a year.

According to Keane, the detail “includes as many as 150 Chicago Police Department officers.”

Keane noted that Johnson avails himself of the security provided with firearms while simultaneously praising restrictions on citizens’ ability to own the rifle of their choice:

In Chicago, Mayor Johnson has backed some of Illinois’ most restrictive firearm policies. After the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 2023 reversed a lower court’s preliminary injunction against Illinois’ ban on so-called “assault-style weapons,”… [which included the] state’s magazine restrictions, Mayor Johnson praised the ruling and called the law an “important step” that would keep “weapons of war” out of neighborhoods.

Keane observed, “The practical message to Chicago residents was clear. Government officials and their armed details can enjoy armed personal protection but the public should accept tighter limits on the tools of lawful self-defense.”

Numerous other pro-gun control Democrats have taken a similar “guns for me but not for thee” approach in leadership policy.

No Kings protesters marching in Washington, DC today could be heard yelling ‘abolish the police’ as they were being escorted and protected by police.

You could not make this up. No one would believe it.

The other interesting thing about this is that elected Democrats across the country have admitted that the ‘abolish the police’ movement was a huge political mistake. Apparently, their supporters didn’t get the memo, because they’re still saying it.

Several “No Kings” protesters chanted anti-police slogans Saturday while uniformed officers could be seen ushering their march through the streets of Washington, video footage by the Daily Caller News Foundation shows.

Thousands of demonstrators flocked to the nation’s capital as part of the nationwide No Kings Day protests Saturday against President Donald Trump and his administration, particularly Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). During one portion of the Washington demonstrations, protesters chanted multiple times in favor of defunding or even abolishing the police — despite officers at the same time visibly protecting them.

“I said take it to the streets, abolish the police,” a male protester leading a chant yelled as multiple on-duty law enforcement officers walked with them, video by DCNF investigative reporter Hudson Crozier shows.

“Cops spent hours accompanying the protest and holding off traffic for about a mile, giving them the entire Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge along the way,” Crozier wrote in the post, referring to to the arch bridge crossing the Anacostia River in Washington’s southeast quadrant.
