Gavin Newsom ridiculed for desperately painting himself as living fraught and penniless childhood in new memoir… despite his family’s millionaire connections

Gavin Newsom has been trolled online for attempting to portray his childhood as financially fraught in a new memoir, despite having family connections with powerful politicians and billionaire oil magnates.  

Instead of politics, the California Governor’s 2026 book focuses on the struggles of his parents’ divorce, growing up with dyslexia, and working as a paper boy, according to the New York Times which received an advance copy of the autobiography. 

The likely Democratic contender for the next presidential election spent his childhood surrounded by some of the most powerful families in California, who backed his early business ventures and greased the wheels of his political ascent. 

His father, William Newsom, was a wealthy state appeals judge who introduced him to the Getty Oil executives he represented in court, while his aunt Barbara Newsom was married to Ron Pelosi, the brother-in-law of US Representative Nancy Pelosi.  

Yet his memoir, Young Man in a Hurry: A Memoir of Discovery, which is set to hit the shelves February 24, portrays him as a teenager who delivered newspapers because money was scarce at home. 

‘POOR LIL’ GAVIN,’ one person wrote on X in response to the Times’ review of the memoir. Everybody feels sorry for Gavin Newsom. He’s had a tough life.

‘So lunch at French Laundry?’ they added, referring to an expensive three-Michelin star restaurant in California’s Napa Valley which Newsom came under fire for dining at during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown in 2020. 

‘Oh poor baby… a rich brat with a sad life. The California Governor wants you to know he was rich but not happy, not that much,’ another critic wrote on X.

Hillary Clinton’s Hit Piece Against Several Christian Leaders Doesn’t Get the Response She Was Hoping for: ‘I’ve Never Been More Proud’

Through the centuries, many Christians have made the mistake of trying to guess the exact date of the Parousia. I will avoid that error. Christ’s Second Coming will arrive in God’s good time.

I will, however, propose that the Antichrist may already have walked among us for decades.

In an op-ed titled “MAGA’s War on Empathy,” published Thursday by The Atlantic, former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton — yes, Hillary Clinton, of all people — opined on what she regarded as the abandonment of Christian principles by Christian leaders, only to discover that those same Christian leaders regard her disapproval as a badge of honor, including one Christian leader’s friend who, on the social media platform X, declared, “I’ve never been more proud of my guy.”

Anyone who suffers through Clinton’s op-ed will come away deeply impressed by its lack of substance. At its core lies a tired liberal refrain: we (liberals) are good, and they — President Donald Trump and his supporters — are not. Clinton has done little more than echo that refrain by using her (misapplied) concept of empathy.

Citing recent violent protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minneapolis, Minnesota — in the first paragraph, she even mentioned 37-year-old anti-ICE activist Alex Pretti, killed on Saturday during a confrontation with federal agents — Clinton built a particularly weak straw man (MAGA hates empathy) to compose a piece littered with ad hominem attacks.

“This crisis also reveals a deeper moral rot at the heart of Trump’s MAGA movement,” she wrote. “Whatever you think about immigration policy, how can a person of conscience justify the lack of compassion and empathy for the victims in Minnesota, and for the families torn apart or hiding in fear, for the children separated from their parents or afraid to go to school?”

Trump, of course, has done exactly the opposite. In fact, he has shown compassion both for Pretti and for 37-year-old Renee Good, who also lost her life earlier this month after attempting to obstruct an ICE operation.

Those facts, however, did not stop Clinton from attacking the president and his supporters, including prominent Christian voices.

First, she attacked pastor Ben Garrett for failing to endorse open borders and affirm LGBT lifestyles.

Then, she took Christian podcaster and author Allie Beth Stuckey to task for Stuckey’s concept of “toxic empathy.” Stuckey even wrote a 2024 book by that title: “Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion.”

Dems Have Gone Radio Silent On One of Their Main Talking Points, Trump Highlights It

President Donald Trump said Democrats have stopped focusing on affordability because, he argued, they have been “getting beaten badly” on the issue after years of high prices and inflation.

In remarks addressing the economy, Trump said affordability was once a central Democratic talking point but has since disappeared as prices have come down under his administration.

“You don’t hear the word affordability issued by the Democrats anymore,” Trump said.

“Now they’re going into other things because they’re getting beaten badly on affordability.”

Trump said when he returned to office, he inherited severe economic problems, including sharply higher consumer prices.

“Remember that when I was elected, I came into office, I inherited a total mess, starting with eggs, which were four times higher than they were just a year before,” Trump said.

Trump credited his administration with quickly reducing prices, pointing to egg costs as an example.

Gavin Newsom Gets Dragged for Pledging to Send Winter Storm Resources to Tennessee While Fire Victims in California Remain Homeless

California Governor Gavin Newsom recently bragged on Twitter/X that he is sending aid to the state of Tennessee following the harsh winter storm.

Meanwhile, thousands of victims of the California wildfires that happened over a year ago remain homeless.

This is Newsom playing pretend. In his mind, he is already the President of the United States and he wants everyone to get used to the idea.

Gov. Newsom deploys California-based emergency team to Tennessee for winter storm aid

Governor Gavin Newsom has deployed specialized emergency management resources from California to assist Tennessee as the state responds to impacts from a deadly winter storm.

According to the Governor’s Office, a 30-member California-based federal Complex Incident Management Team has been sent to support “response and life safety efforts” following an icy snowstorm that created hazardous travel conditions, widespread power outages and emergencies across the state. Multiple deaths have been reported in connection with the storm.

“I’m thankful to the local firefighters, who are stepping up to help fellow Americans during their time of need,” said Newsom. “When disaster strikes, California answers the call to support our partners across the country. Deploying this Incident Management Team to Tennessee reflects a commitment to protecting lives and helping our neighbors respond and recover to extreme weather events.”

The deployment comes as large portions of the eastern United States recently faced heavy snowfall, ice accumulations and subfreezing temperatures, disrupting critical infrastructure.

Obama-Era Report on ICE-Related Deaths Proves How Hypocritical Hysteria Over Alex Pretti’s Death Really Is

In case America missed it, Barack Obama hypocrisy is back.

The 42nd president — the man who gave Joe Biden the platform to win the presidency five years ago — deigned to weigh in this week on the death of armed protester Alex Pretti during a confrontation with Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis.

But a report from the last year of Obama’s presidency shows how hypocritical that statement actually was.

In a post published Sunday on the social media platform X, Obama called Pretti’s death a “tragedy” that “should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under attack.”

Any needless death is a tragedy, so there’s not much of an argument with Obama on that score. (Still, there’s a case to be made that Pretti contributed a good deal to the circumstances that led to his demise.)

But what exactly are the “core values” that are under attack?

The value in law enforcement officers enforcing the law? That’s not only what they get paid taxpayer money for, the laws they’re enforcing were passed by the Congress of the United States and signed by various presidents of both parties. (That’s a fact that seems to get lost in the shuffle.)

Or maybe Obama’s statement was prompted by the fact that there was a death involved — the second death related to President Donald Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown in Minneapolis in the span of a month.

Well, here’s where things get interesting. Years before the Biden presidency launched an era of border lawlessness unprecedented in U.S. history, and caused the illegal immigration invasion Trump is cleaning up, Obama had a reputation in leftist circles as “deporter in chief.”

Over the course of Obama’s eight years in office, more than 3 million individuals were deported, according to USA Today, citing Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse.

The difference is that leftists in the streets are opposing Trump, where they greeted Obama’s actions with muffled moans.

Health Care Worker with Access to Deadly Chemicals Tells People to Take ICE Agents on Dates, Then Poison Them or Use Water Guns to Spray Toxins in Agents’ Faces

Readers will have to decide for themselves how often they wish to see the faces and hear the voices of evil.

After all, the assassination of Charlie Kirk provided enough exposure to the murderous left’s demonic glee to last a lifetime.

In a series of videos circulating on the social media platform X, a woman whom some internet sleuths claimed was a health care worker at Virginia Commonwealth University Health appeared to encourage protesters and single women to wage literal chemical warfare against Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

“I thought of something good … sabotage tactic, or at least scare tactic,” the woman, who appeared to be wearing hospital garb, said in one video. “All the medical providers, grab some syringes with needles on the end. Have them full of saline or succinylcholine, you know, whatever, whatever. That will probably be a deterrent.”

In a second video, the young woman made it clear that she fancies herself part of some “resistance.”

“OK, for today’s resistance tip,” the diabolical woman said, “I vote, um, anybody got any poison ivy, poison oak in their yard? Get some of that up with gloves, obviously, get it in some water, like a gallon of water, get the poison-ivy/oak water, and I’m going to put it into a water gun. Aim for faces, hands.”

Finally, in a third unhinged video, the woman addressed “single ladies” in ICE agents’ vicinity. Those ladies, she said, could “do something not without risk, but, could help the cause, for sure.”

“Get on Tinder, get on Hinge. Find these guys. They’re around,” she added. “If they’re an ICE agent, bring some Ex-Lax and put it in their drinks. Get ’em sick. Nobody’s going to die. Just enough to incapacitate them and get them off the street for the next day.”

The woman called this tactic “highly, easily deniable” and then, at the video’s end, encouraged her fellow lunatics to “stay toxic.”

Libs of TikTok, a prominent conservative account on X, shared the video compilation.

“Any comment @VCUHealth? How can you have such a vile person working with patients? How can anyone feel safe at your facilities if you employ such people?” Libs of TikTok wrote.

Crying Jimmy Kimmel’s Eyes Are Dry For Victims Of Violent Illegal Aliens

Oh, look out, Martha, Jimmy Kimmel’s crying again. 

The effeminate late-night talk show host who, believe it or not, once hosted something called The Man Show, sobbed his way through another monologue Monday night. Kimmel, the Democrat Party’s biggest shill (more on that in a moment), dedicated his monologue to Alex Pretti, the nurse/agitator fatally shot by a Border Patrol agent in a gun incident over the weekend. 

Jimmy regurgitated the Dems’ talking points, asserting that Pretti and fellow Marxist martyr Renee Good were “executed” by federal law enforcement officials. There’s no evidence to support that. None needed on a network that paid millions of dollars to settle an anti-defamation suit after falsely accusing President Trump of a crime he did not commit. 

“And to the people of Minneapolis, to the Pretti family and the Good family and these people who were looking out for their neighbors” — Kimmel paused and wept like a menopausal woman watching the Hallmark Channel — “we want you to know that we are with you and you are not alone.” The useful idiots serving as his live studio audience vigorously applauded. 

“And I’ll tell you another thing,” little Jimmy said as he sniffled, “we also want to see those Epstein files already.” He sounded like a boy who had gotten a swat for telling fibs and then threatened he’d run away from home. That’ll show ’em.

And then he machine-gunned through his latest litany of Trump derangement syndrome charges, accusing the administration of all manner of crimes, including “kill[ing] two U.S. citizens in cold blood.” 

“And [Trump] still thinks he got cheated out of a Nobel Peace Prize. I mean, if that delusion doesn’t trigger the 25th Amendment, what possibly will?” said the same whimpering man who constantly covered for a president whose mental acuity was as sharp as a bowl of coleslaw. 

None of it was funny. But Kimmel’s dwindling audience has grown accustomed to that. It was more leftist political theater, part of what attorney Daniel Suhr describes as a “propaganda machine for one party.”

“In 2025, not a single Republican politician appeared on late-night television, even as dozens of Democrats were showered with free airtime and softball interviews,” Suhr wrote in a piece this week on the FCC checking equal time abuses.

Virginia Democrats Now Seeking to Double Their Own Pay as They Raise Taxes, After Running on ‘Affordability’

Democrats in Virginia ran on affordability, but everything they have done since retaking power there says the exact opposite.

The tax rate in Virginia is poised to become the highest in the nation, beating even California, and they are trying to create a slew of new taxes.

Now, they are trying to give themselves a pay raise that is basically double what they already make.

After campaigning on “affordability,” Virginia state Democrats have introduced a measure to more than double their salaries, now that fellow Democrat Abigail Spanberger is in the Governor’s Mansion, giving them control of all three branches of their state’s government.

“Virginia Democrats are now trying to give themselves a PAY RAISE after proposing thousands of dollars in new taxes hammering working families, the Virginia Senate Republican Caucus warned in a X.com post highlighting how the legislators’ pay raise would hurt taxpayers:

“They ran on ‘affordability,’ but all they’ve done is introduce insane left-wing policies and take from your pocket to line their own. TOTAL CON JOB!”

Indeed, an amendment to the Virginia state budget (SB30), introduced by Democrats L. Louise Lucas in the state Senate and Vivian Edna Watts in the House of Delegates, would more than double their salaries, raising the pay in both chambers by about 150%.

What have these people done to earn a pay raise? They’ve been in power for like ten minutes.

Michelle Obama Complains That People Best Know Her For Being ‘Barack Obama’s Wife’

Michelle Obama just cannot stop complaining about how hard her life is.

The multi-millionaire former First Lady has lamented that people know her only for being married to Barack Obama.

She made the comments during an appearance on the feminist Call Me Daddy podcast.

Ehe explained:

People would be like, “Well, how do you know what to do in this role?” And to me, it was clear that… you don’t know anything about what I did before I came here.

But I was like, well, I went to Princeton and Harvard. I mean, I practiced law. I was an assistant to the mayor in Chicago.

I ran a nonprofit, a 501c3. I was a vice president for community relations at the University of Chicago Hospitals. I was a dean of students.

All of that just disappeared in the course of this whole election, and you now see me as just Barack Obama’s wife.

That quickly my shoes become the most important thing about me… not unique to me, it can happen to the best of us.

So, I shied away from fashion leading the conversation. But I knew I didn’t completely control it.

So, let’s lean in. Let’s lean in with what we do. Let’s make sure that we have a plan and a strategy in place for how fashion, just like everything we did in the White House, would have meaning and impact.

Obama also urged women to carry on with their careers rather than focus on child rearing.

“You don’t have to get off your career track. And I don’t even recommend it,” she said.

“Because kids grow up fast. And then they’re gone. You’ve sacrificed everything. And you know, when they leave, they leave. They close the door and act like you never sacrificed.”

NYPD Detectives Denied Treatment At Hospital After Being ‘Mistaken For ICE’

NYPD detectives say they were treated with disrespect at a Brooklyn hospital after going to the emergency room for medical care following an on-the-job incident.

Police officials said the detectives arrived at NYU Langone Health in Cobble Hill but were confronted by security guards who questioned their identities and why they were there.

Sources told Eyewitness News the detectives were in plainclothes and explained that one of them needed treatment for a minor injury sustained during a scuffle with a suspect. Despite that explanation, they were allegedly detained, and one detective was initially refused entry because he was carrying his service weapon.

The encounter quickly angered union leaders.

“No individual-especially NYPD Detectives injured in the line of duty-should ever be subjected to such treatment,” the detectives’ union said in a statement.

The detectives, who were not identified, believe hospital staff may have mistaken them for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and initially tried to turn them away.

ICE agents often wear tactical gear marked “Police” but do not always display badges or other identification. NYPD detectives, even when in plainclothes, carry gold shields.

The incident comes amid heightened political tensions surrounding ICE enforcement in New York City.

Appearing on “The View” on Tuesday, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said ICE should be abolished.

“We’re seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it’s doing is terrorizing people no matter their immigration status, no matter the facts of the law, no matter the facts of the case,” he said.

The mayor said Wednesday that he had not been aware of the hospital incident until asked about it by a reporter.

“That’s the first I’m hearing about it but it’s something I’ll follow up on,” he said.
