California Speaker: I Will Consider Withholding Federal Taxes from The Trump Administration If They Slash Federal Funding from My State

One of the most powerful Democrats in California is shooting his mouth off about breaking federal law after learning the Trump Administration might be about to drop the hammer on his state.

Multiple sources told CNN that the Trump administration is preparing to cancel a large portion of federal funding for California, which might begin as soon as today.

According to the outlet, Team Trump is specifically looking at entirely cutting off federal grant funding for the University of California and California State University systems.

As TGP readers know, President Trump has been rightfully livid over California’s open defiance of federal law, particularly over transgender issues.

President Trump issued an executive order in February, which was supposed to ensure that biological men could not compete in women’s sports. But California and other blue states have decided to defy Trump’s order and continue to allow men to compete against women.

White House spokesman Kush Desai released the following statement Friday afternoon, slamming California but adding that no final decision has been made.

“No taxpayer should be forced to fund the demise of our country. “No final decisions, however, on any potential future action by the Administration have been made, and any discussion suggesting otherwise should be considered pure speculation.”

Upon reading this, the speaker of the California State Assembly, Robert Rivas, erupted in anger and threatened various responses, including withholding federal taxes from the federal government.

“This is unconstitutional and vindictive,” Rivas wrote on BlueSky. “We’re the nation’s economic engine and the largest donor state, and deserve our fair share.”

“I’ll use every legal and constitutional tool available to defend CA — we must look at every option, including withholding federal taxes.”

Snarky Democrat Rep’s Interrogation of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick Backfires When She Makes an Embarrassing Blunder While Discussing Bananas 

A Democratic member of Congress earlier this week made such an embarrassing mistake regarding one of the world’s most famous fruits that one could justify an IQ test for certain members of Congress.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was testifying before the House Appropriations Committee on Thursday to defend Trump’s tariff policy when a snarky Rep. Madeline Dean (D-PA) decided to try to entrap him with a question about tariffs on bananas while holding the fruit.

After Lutnick calmly stated the answer (10%), Dean fired back and said Walmart had already increased the tariffs. Unbothered, Lutnick pointed out that there is no tariff for people who manufacture in America.

Immediately following Lutnick’s remark, Dean face-planted with a comment that is news to people in several states, including Hawaii and Florida.

TRANSCRIPT:

DEAN: What’s the tariff on bananas? Americans, by the way, LOVE bananas… What’s the tariff on bananas?

LUTNICK: The tariff on bananas would be representative of the countries that produce them.

DEAN: And what’s that tariff?

LUTNICK: Generally 10%.

DEAN: Walmart has already increased the cost of bananas by 8%.

LUTNICK: If countries do deals with us, that tariff will go to zero…

DEAN: But the cost is on the American consumer now…Mr. Secretary, I believe you know better. I believe you recognize that a trade deficit is nothing to fear…I wish you would show that truth to this administration.

LUTNICK: There’s no uncertainty if you build in America…There will be no tariff.

DEAN: We can’t produce bananas in America…We cannot build bananas in America.

The truth is that bananas have been grown in America for decades, with the first banana farm established in 1876 in Florida, near Silver Lake.

Today, bananas are grown in several states, with Hawaii producing the most. Florida ranks second.

Other states, such as California, Texas, Louisiana, and Arizona, produce bananas as well, albeit nowhere near the scale of Hawaii and Florida due to their climate.

Florida is also a major exporter of bananas, particularly specialty ones such as Thai and cooking bananas.

As is often noted, Democrats believe there are two sets of rules: one fot Democrats and one for everyone else. And now you can include the TSA to the list. Newly disclosed Department of Homeland Security records have exposed a sweeping abuse of the TSA’s domestic surveillance and watchlisting programs under the Biden administration—granting high-level political favors to allies while targeting critics for heightened scrutiny. At the center of the scandal is Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, whose husband, William “Billy” Shaheen, received a blanket exemption from TSA oversight—even after traveling multiple times alongside a known or suspected terrorist.

The documents, made public today, reveal that in 2023 alone, Billy Shaheen was flagged three separate times by TSA’s “Silent Partner” and “Quiet Skies” programs—federal initiatives meant to detect potential threats through behavioral and association-based monitoring. Rather than allow the system to operate impartially, Senator Shaheen intervened directly with then-TSA Administrator David Pekoske to remove her husband from further screening. Within days, officials approved his placement on the Secure Flight Exclusion List, shielding him from TSA scrutiny going forward.

Meanwhile, critics of the Biden administration—including former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard—were added to the very same surveillance programs with no notice, explanation, or recourse.

“This is not national security,” said DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. “This is political protectionism. The TSA’s exclusion list became a tool to reward the connected and punish the inconvenient.”

The Left Is Alienating Its Minority Base

Not long ago Susan Rice, the former top official in the Obama administration, was removed from the Defense Policy Board. That’s a group of grandees that advise the Defense Department. They’re political appointments. And traditionally, when a new president comes in, they get rid of most of the prior Defense Policy Board because they feel they’re partisans.

And in the case of Susan Rice, she was appointed in a late appointment by then-President Joe Biden, who pretty much wiped out all of the Trump appointments. So, her dismissal by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was not unusual.

And yet, she fired back at him and said he was dumb as a rock and ultra-MAGA. But what was interesting, she said, “white male, cisgender.” In other words, she attacked his race. And she said her administration would’ve fired him for the Signal chat scandal. But of course, she was the one that came out on Sunday talk shows and lied five times about the disaster in Benghazi, among other things later in her career. But why inject race into it?

At almost the same period, we had a number of Afrikaners—I should say a very small number, about 60 people—asked for refugee status, felt they had been endangered by black-on-white violence, which is demonstrable and beyond controversy in South Africa. And President Donald Trump allowed them to come in as refugees. And of course, during the prior administration, thousands of people came in as refugees. But because, apparently, they were white, this caused a storm of criticism.

Federal Judge Smacks Down DNC’s Election Lawsuit Against Trump Admin

President Donald Trump and his administration were handed a critical win from a federal judge this week.

And, surprisingly, it came from a judge put on the bench by former President Joe Biden.

U.S. District Judge Amir Ali dismissed a lawsuit from the Democratic National Committee targeting a number of Trump’s many executive orders Tuesday, according to Fox News.

Specifically, this DNC lawsuit claimed that some of Trump’s executive orders would erode the Federal Election Commission’s independence.

One of the key orders in question involved a Feb. 18 executive order entitled “Ensuring Accountability for All Agencies.”

“The Constitution vests all executive power in the President and charges him with faithfully executing the laws,” Trump stated in the order. “Since it would be impossible for the President to single-handedly perform all the executive business of the Federal Government, the Constitution also provides for subordinate officers to assist the President in his executive duties.

“In the exercise of their often-considerable authority, these executive branch officials remain subject to the President’s ongoing supervision and control.”

“However, previous administrations have allowed so-called ‘independent regulatory agencies’ to operate with minimal Presidential supervision,” Trump continued. “These regulatory agencies currently exercise substantial executive authority without sufficient accountability to the President, and through him, to the American people.

“Moreover, these regulatory agencies have been permitted to promulgate significant regulations without review by the President. ”

Media, Democrats Breathlessly Defend Having Naval Ship Named After Gay Pederast

The Democrats and the corporate media came out guns blazing with a temper tantrum about how a U.S. Navy vessel may no longer be named after gay pedophile Harvey Milk.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly told the Office of the Secretary of the Navy to make plans for renaming the ship USNS Harvey Milk, according to Military.com, to come into “alignment with president and SECDEF objectives and SECNAV priorities of reestablishing the warrior culture.”

The left considers Milk a “gay rights icon” for being the first openly homosexual elected official in California. Milk was serving on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors when he was murdered in 1978.

Milk, however, was a predator of young boys, as The Federalist reported. Milk’s biographer wrote that the then-33-year-old pursued a 16-year-old boy who was apparently in a vulnerable place and “looking for some kind of father figure.”

The pedophile, who was dishonorably discharged from the Navy after being questioned about his sexual activities in 1955, would also use alcohol and drugs to subdue underage boys and young men and manipulate them into perverse sexual activity.

He also had an affinity for infamous cult leader Jim Jones, a fellow sexual predator and architect of the mass murder-suicide of his followers in Jonestown, Guyana. Jones funded Milk’s political career, and Milk praised Jones’s cult, telling him, “Rev. Jim, it may take me many a day to come back down from the high that I reach today. I found something dear today. … I found a sense of being that makes up for all the hours and energy placed in a fight. I found what you wanted me to find. I shall be back. For I can never leave.”

In the wake of the murder-suicide claiming the lives of more than 900 people, Milk flippantly called it “a great experiment that didn’t work. I don’t know, maybe it did.”

Milk was not exactly the person anyone would have expected to be honored with being the namesake of a U.S. Navy vessel — an idea first floated by the Obama administration. But at the news of the potential renaming, Democrats and their bootlickers in the corporate media immediately fell into a frenzy.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said the renaming is a “surrender of a fundamental American value: to honor the legacy of those who worked to build a better country” and that it was “a shameful, vindictive erasure of those who fought to break down barriers for all to chase the American Dream.”

Apparently for Pelosi, being a pedophile is part of building a “better country” and the “American Dream.”

Crockett: Dems ‘Actually Care and We Love,’ GOP Lacks Compassion

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The Weeknight,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) said Democrats “actually care,” while Republicans like Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) lacked compassion.

Crockett said, “So now that there’s like the family infighting, we see, you know, even Elon Musk coming, he can’t get out of the Twitter. Right? Like he is talking about the bill and trying to tank the bill and telling people call your senators and make sure you take this bill down. And listen, I never thought there would be a day that I would agree with Elon on anything, but that’s where we are. People are finally starting to say, you know what? This is actually impacting me a little too much. I’m going to have to speak up and speak out against this. But my issue is this, all of y’all voted for this so that it would hurt somebody else. The problem was you got upset when you found out that, ‘Oh, shoot, it can hurt me too?’ Honestly, it is like it’s ingrained in who Democrats are is that we actually care and we love and we want to take care of everybody and that’s why we got this big tent party and we all over the place.”

Arizona’s Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs has vetoed a bill that would prevent the Chinese Communist Party from buying land near strategic assets such as military bases. Whose side is this woman on?

It really seems like Democrats are hell bent on doing everything they can to weaken the United States and threaten our national security.

Dem governor ripped as ‘total disgrace’ after vetoing bill limiting Chinese land ownership near military bases

Arizona Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs, who is up for reelection next year, garnered backlash Tuesday after vetoing a bill aimed at preventing China from buying up land next to strategic assets, such as military bases.

Arizona state Senate Majority Leader Janae Shamp said the “politically motivated veto” was “utterly insane,” blaming Hobbs for being “an obstructionist against safeguarding our citizens from threats.”

However, Hobbs said the bill, S.B. 1109, was “ineffective at counter-espionage” and did not “directly protect” American military assets in the state…

“Governor Hobbs’s veto of SB 1109 hangs an ‘Open for the CCP’ sign on Arizona’s front door, allowing Communist China to buy up American land near critical assets like Luke Air Force Base, Palo Verde nuclear power plant, and Taiwan Semiconductor’s growing fabrication footprint,” said Michael Lucci, the CEO and founder of State Armor Action, a conservative group with a mission to develop and enact state-level solutions to global security threats.

Democrat Georgia Mayor Arrested for Child Molestation, Wife Charged with Cruelty to Children

A Democrat mayor in Georgia has been arrested for child molestation, and his wife was also arrested and charged with cruelty to children.

Joseph Kelly, 38, the mayor of the City of Climax and a Decatur County School District employee, was charged with two counts of child molestation. Natalie Kelly, 44, was charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the second degree.

According to the school district’s website, he is a math teacher at Bainbridge High School. It is unclear if he remains employed there.

The acts are alleged to involve multiple children.

Both were arrested on Saturday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement:

“On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate allegations that Joseph Kelly had sexual contact with multiple minors. Both Joseph and Natalie Kelly were arrested later that same day by GBI agents and Decatur County Sheriff’s Office investigators. They were booked into the Decatur County Jail.”

The bureau added, “At this time, there is no indication that the alleged acts are related to his employment.”

The accused child predator has since been released on a $55,400 bond. His wife was released on a $11,400 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
